Zel was raised in a world where she was something to look at. She was adopted by humans when she was very young. This family of her’s ended up having to hide her from the rest of the town. Her inhuman nature and looks, being something that should not exist anymore. Even others like her don’t seem to exist anymore, at least thats what people believe and so does she. All she knows is what little she’s been told, that her kind were killed and hunted down years ago, and that she was the last of them. Though what Zel is, is a half dragon human. Many years ago these hybrids and their dragons were powerful and some even leaders.
Recently there had been sightings of a real dragon. Though most people are suspicious of this and Zel wanted to learn more. More about herself and why she was brought up in a human town, and how she was even alive. She was raised with Y/C another what seemed to be human though she wasn’t to sure with how they acted.
Zel was sitting in her room when she heard a knock at her door and went to open it. When she did open it she saw Y/C “Oh its you” she said softly smiling. She had been raised with this person, they had originally found her and took her to this place. (If thats ok with you) Ever since then they had grown up at close friends. “Is there something you need? I was in the middle of something” she mumbled looking past them. If Y/C were to look over her shoulder they would see a few old looking newspapers most of them linked to the recent dragon sightings.
Junji sighed as the kid he grew to raise was looking at the recent dragon sightings. “I was going to tell you I was accepted in the Hunter Federation. We should be living the high life in due time.” The kid must not know what the point of his job was. She was a hybrid that wouldn't approve of his methods, which would end up in a fight. One he likely would lose if she played it right.
Yawning, he asked, “You should get out of the house more often. There's a family of Satyrs that just moved in…” Junji wasn't completely human, either. The marks on his arms were proof of that. Often a mark of evil. Zel didn't need to know that. He was the closest thing she had to a father.
Zel rubbed the back of her neck “I thought you always told me to stay away from people” she said softly. “Are you sure i can leave?” She asked tilting her head. She was pretty much told that it wasn’t safe for her to be out in public. She shrugged “But if you want me to I can… also congratulations for getting into… whatever the hunter federation is" she didn't really understand what was so good about that group or why he cared about it. Though she didn't ask anything about it mainly she wasn't interested.
“But I’m asking if it’s safe for me” she said quietly looking up at him. “If you say it is I might” she said looking back into her room. “But if there’s nothing else you wanna say do you mind if I head back into my room?” She really wanted to leave and if he really didn’t care she likely would. But then again she knew very little and likely couldn’t protect herself if something were to happen. She paused as she thought over her options and waited for Junji to answer.
He shrugged, “If you stay away from certain parts, you should be fine.” he claimed. Honestly not knowing the true answer. Previously he kept her out of fear, but it had to have been lonely…right?
Zoe nodded “right but… still, is there anyways that you could… I dont know, come with me?” She was a bit worried about the outside world. Mainly because of what she had heard about it and the people.
Zel paused “what do you mean by that?” She asked she had expected some discrimination against her but not like that. She mainly learned about that because of what she read. “But if your going to come I guess it shouldn’t be a big problem…” she added rubbing the back of her neck nervously.
Junji sighed and told her she'd find out. After all, the world is a cruel place. She must learn to deal with such if she wants to be in company with others. Otherwise, she'd be isolated forever…away from humanity.
Zel nodded slowly still a bit nervous but at least she’d have Junji with her. “Well if your not busy can we go now?” She asked in an excited tone. She flapped her wings a bit, something she did whenever she got excited or happy. Though her wings were a bit small, to small to allow her to fly at least.
Zel flicked her tail around as she wandered around the town. She seemed to find everything interesting. She glanced back at Jujin “thanks for this” she smiled. She did her best to just ignore the other people staring at her but I did start to get to her.
Zel gave off the sense that she was pretty innocent, both if the fact that she was non threatening and that she knew little to nothing of this world. SHe was pretty kind to the people who would speak with her even if she was cautious. As she walked through the town she noticed a few things hanging up like wanted posters and recent news that she hadn’t gotten to see before. She grabbed one of these news papers and read through it slowly.
Junji kept following her. Quiet and cautious. Making sure no one tried anything to hurt Zel. After all, most humans were terrified. The only thing letting people talk to her, was her complete obliviousness to everything around her. The mannerisms…looks…behaviors.
Junji noticed she picked up a newspaper. Bounty hunting was a big part of Junji's job. With her, he looked to see if there were any big bounties.
It wasn’t like Zel didn’t notice all the strange looks, it was more like she just ignored it. Zel read through the news paper not really finding anything of interest. She glanced at Junji “do you want this/“ she asked noticing how he was also reading it. There wasn’t really any new bounties, at least none that were worth much. Zel just kept looking around the town, she kid of looked for any other mystical creatures or humanoids. She wondered if it was only humans because so far it was only humans she saw
Junjj just shook his head in tesponse. None of the bounties were a big enough prize. He was a guild member now. He had better offers in the base. Come to think of it, Zel hasn't seen it either. Sighing, he looked around before mentioning it to her. “Wanna go to my job house??”
“I mean if you wanna show me it sure!” She said happily. She seemed pretty excited she’d heard him talk about it. Though she really did was to see it if she was allowed to.
He shrugged and motioned for her to follow. It was back in a few alleys. It gave the feeling of a maze. Eventually, they reached it. It was hidden within a tree. The inside was huge, though. More than likely masked with magic. He got a few greetings and Zel wasn't receiving any judgemental looks this time. A few people greeted her as well.
Sorry about taking so long i had to take a break))
Zel looked around in awe of this new place. She waved at a few people who greeted her. She was happy that people where nice to her. She stayed relatively close to Junji because she still didn’t know enough. “So… what do you do here?” She asked looking up at him.
