Kali was sitting in her bedroom alone, studying hard for an exam she had later on that day. It was currently 2:00 in the morning and Kali was stressed, with heavy bags under her eyes and her mind not cooperating. “Maybe Kaze is awake…” She thought to herself, grabbing her phone to facetime him.

Kaze was awake, but he was working on something for school. He wanted to finish the assignment for tomorrow after school.

Kali decided to just text him, not wanting to annoy him just because she was bored. “Hey, you wanna Facetime and study together? 😅” She clicked the send button and sighed, putting her phone down on the table.

He had smiled but then he had only sent one reply “one moment, I'll help” he only put that for the next hour before there was a knock on her door

Kali smiled and went downstairs, opening the door and smiling. “Hey.” She looked up at him.

He smiled to her “you needed some help?” he asked her as he was at her door

“Well, I'm kinda stressed out so I just needed some company.” Kali shrugged and motioned for him to come in.

He nodded and walked inside her house “its been a while, right Kali?”

“Yeah, we only see each other sometimes around campus.” Kali walked upstairs. “I'm shocked you came at 2:00 in the morning.” She laughed. Her face was a little red since she had some feelings for Kaze.

He then sat on the couch and stretched “i dont really do well nowadays but i finish my work before it's deadline, so I can help you!”

“Thanks” Kali smiled as she sat next to him, her notebook in her hand and phone in the other. The exam was about calculus, and that's what she was worse at.

He looked at her “alright, so lets get started.”

“Listen, before we do start can I talk to you about something…?” Kali sighed, turning to look directly at him.

He had nodded “oh, sure.” he said as he then turned to her now “what is it?” he asked curious 

“Um… I li-“ Just as she was about to finish her sentence, her phone started ringing. She looked over and saw it was her mom.

He looked at her for a moment but he let her answer the phone that was ringing 

Kali picked up the phone and clicked on the answer button. “Hello?” She asked, confused. “Hey, honey. Me and your father are coming over this weekend to hang out. Just wanted to let you know!” Her mother responded. Kali's facial expression changed quickly. “Alright.” Was the only thing that escaped her mouth. She hung up and set the phone down.

Kaze had watched her face expression change, and instead he tilted his head “is something wrong, Kali?” he asked her, judging her face expression and how fast it changed
