She heard his footsteps and thought he was the secretary. She huffed and walked out into the hallway before bumping into him. “I'm sorry, where have you been?! I've been waiti-” she stopped. “You're not the Secre- Kaze? When did you get here?”
He looked at her “i was just walking around, looking for directions, Alica"
She chuckled “Well where do you need to go? I can take you. My mother's secretary is late anyways.”
“well, i got a job at the new cafe somewhere around here..” he said “i need to get there early enough.”
“Oh yeah, I know that one!” She smiled. “Want directions, or I could lead you there if you'd like?”
He nodded and sighed “you can help me get there, so you can lead.”
“Okay.” She started leading him to the coffee shop. “So..How's life been for you?” She asked as they walked.
He was wearing his face mask the entire time they were walking “lifes been fine i guess, I've had a tough time for the past few weeks ”
She glanced at him, wondering if she should question his mask. “oh no, want to talk about it?”
He shook his head and looked up now “no, its alright. Im sure it'd bore you anyway”
“Nono, paperwork is boring. Writing dumb addresses is boring. Talking to an old friend isn't boring at all.” She smiled assuringly.
He looked at her for a moment but then looked at the buildings "well, you're right about that”
“i just dont like people looking at me a lot, but the mask gives me comfort when im outside”
She nodded “Makes sense” she chuckled and playfully nudged him “You always were shy”
“im almost done with school and soon, I'll be able to graduate.”
He sighed “i have no clue, I've just because preoccupied nowadays”
“work, school and even some personal things.”
He then sat down on a bench and looked down at the cement ground “I've thought about many things. But I'm sure i won't get a few"
She sat down next to him and sighed. “Yeah, I know that feeling” her thoughts turned to her mother
He sighed “but i guess i just want to be someone who can make a difference.”
“I've seen a lot of couples, and i always wondered what it would be like honestly.”
“Yeah…” she sighed again “Mother would probably freak if she found out I was dating. She doesn't want me focused on something other than my career” she rolled her eyes
He sighe but instead now stood up “but, im sure if you could, you'd have a wonderful relationship with whoever you could meet.”
He chuckled “im sure, but you and i have our own life's”
She smiled “It's nice to have an interruption once in a while though. I don't think I can stand another hour in my mother's office”
“I'd quit if it was a painful job.” he said before pulling his face mask down for a breath
She studied his face for a moment before looking away “It's not that bad..Gives me headaches, but that's it”
He then put his mask back on “well, i guess that i could show you around my house as a thanks.”
She looked back at him “Really? I know you don't like many people in your personal life”
He nodded “yeah, but i know that you have some problems, so I thought that i could give you thanks in a way”
