Autumn started to grab Berries off of a bush with her teeth. She was putting them in a small basket like holder. Then she heard a few noises and started to trot the other way so she wouldn’t be spotted by someone.

‘How long will these berries last… I might need to look longer for more.’ 

She kept looking and found a few more to add to the pile in the small basket she had. Soon enough she got to a little den. It wasn’t big and it was almost like a hill. Leaves covered the front entrance. 

“Finally home for dinner!”

She said as she put down the basket and went to grab more baskets of little foods.

Moonpaw was asleep in the apprentices den in Riverclan. She didn’t stir till her mentor graystream woke her for her training. Her ears twitched slightly and her eyes opened. She yawned and then got up and stretched. She looked at the other apprentices in the den her ocean blue eyes sparkling in the sunlight. It was quite chilly that morning and was eager to run off into the trees with her mentor so she could get warm. She wondered what warrior moves she was going to be doing today, or wondered if her mentor was going to teach her how to hunt. She had recently seen the territory of her clan and was showed the borders between the other 3 clans. Her thoughts were focused on what she was going to learn and followed graystream out to the training hollow in the forest.

Autumn finished making food and started eating. When she was done she headed back out.

‘I gotta find some blueberries.. I’m all out.’

I grabbed my small basket and started trotting along the lake side. I thought of getting fish but didn’t wanna get wet because of my sweater. I started getting closer to the River clan area. She starts picking berries and putting them in the basket. She was getting more inward to the River area. She didn’t pay attention and kept picking berries. She enjoyed the warmth of the area .

Moonpaw was asked to use her scent to track a squirrel, she took a deep sniff of the air and got into the hunters crouch, instead of smelling squirrel she smelled autumn and new the smell as an intruder. She didn’t know what to do and decided to investigate. Her mentor had went out to hunt somewhere else since it was a hunting patrol that her mentor wanted her to come on. She followed the scent and got to some bushes. She hid inside some and watch autumn, she got ready to pounce and autumn knowing that it was the right thing to do since that’s what she had seen other warriors do.

Autumns ears twitched as she heared moving and rustling. She started to trot away but stopped to pick off more berries on the bushes. The water slightly blocked her hearing. As Autumn picked a berry she got a thorn on her cheek.

“Ow!”

She slightly yelped as she tried to get it out. She couldn’t and stopped. She kept picking berries and decided to wait till she’s home to pick it out. She finished picked and tried a little more to get it out.

Moonpaw stalked autumn she made sure to step lightly and follow autumns scent. She had missed her chance and she was just a new apprentice and didn’t know she had left Riverclan territory. She was too intent on following the scent and soon caught up to autumn. She watched intently wondering what it was she should do. That’s when she heard her mentors voice and she jumped and turned around. “Moonpaw what do you think your doing this far from the Riverclan border? Your supposed to be hunting.” Moonpaw glanced back at autumn. “Sooty graystream I thought I saw something.”

Autumn quickly looked back and stared for a moment and started running. She was scared. Quickly she lost breath after a little while of running and started trotting. She didn’t enjoy that they saw her and now she had to run. When she reached her den she carefully slid under and into the den. She put up her mini basket and started to try and pull out the thorn again.

“That was close… now just to get this thorn out…”

She kept pulling the thorn and finally got it out and took it to outside the side of den and threw it out.

Moonpaw walked through the forest with her mentor, she was lost in her thoughts and wondered what another cat was doing in her territory. It was either a loner or a rogue, but she wasn’t sure. If it was a rogue the she cat would have attacked, but she didn’t. But then again some rogues didn’t act mean so she couldn’t tell. She sighed a little her ears twitching a little. “When will I start learning real warrior skills graystream?” She glanced at her mentor slightly. “Maybe tomorrow if you do what your supposed to do and not go running off.” Moonpaws ears went down, she wanted to impress her mentor not cause him to not like her. 


(Sorry for late I was being asked to do things when I was trying to respond, but then I couldn’t respond because my dad kept asking me to do adulting tasks.)

Autumn was curious about the Riverclan and why their stealth was easily tracked. Autumn went back into the Riverclan area as the sun was setting. She was curious but didn’t wanna be caught…  A few moments later she started sneaking closer and closer to the dens. She ended up looking into the apprentices den. She quietly and swiftly went inside and looked around.

Deathstar had just finished helping a kit who'd got hurt while play fighting, and she looked down upon a ledge, where Autumn and Moonpaw were. Hm.. she cocked her head a bit, wondering what the two were doing.

(Sorry I’m here! I just got done with a water color painting thing that I feel like it looks bad, but good at the same time, it was so fricken hard to do.)

MoonStripe went to the fresh kill pile and picked a vole off the top of the pile. Her and her mentor had gotten back in the evening when all the apprentice duties were all taken care of. She was so glad she didn’t have to do any of the duties, she found hunting and training in the hollow was better than changing the elders bedding and taking care of the elders ticks, she took her vole over to the apprentice den and sat down next to her brother Riverpaw and sighed a little. “Did you stay in camp all day you big fur ball?” She gave a teasing look at her brother as she took a bite. “Yeah I was stuck taking care of the elders with their ticks, I accidentally got mouse bile on my tongue and I think I’m going to taste it for days.” Moonpaw giggled and whacked him with her striped grey tail. “Your always causing yourself problems.” Riverpaw glared a little “is that so?” He got ready to pounce and moonpaw was ready for the attack as Riverpaw took her down. Moonpaw wriggled under his paws and giggled more.

DeathStar watched Autumn wander, ‘who is this cat?’ she wondered. She slowly approached Moonpaw. “Moonpaw, a word..?” she asked, waiting for a response, she just wanted an explanation, she hadn't seen Autumn before, and for all she knew, Autumn could've been an attacker, she just wanted to know beforehand. DeathStar looked behind her, before looking back.

Moonpaw and Riverpaw stopped the play fight as soon as deathstar approached and heard her ask for moonpaw to come with her. “I-I just saw her on kur territory I was going to attack her and get her off the territory, but she heard me and seemed afraid, she didn’t have a clan scent to any of the other clans she must be a rogue her a loner.” Moonpaw was afraid she was going to be punished and so her ears were back as she awaited her punishment if she was in trouble. She didn’t know her leader was only wanting an explanation, she just felt in trouble and wanted to do anything to get out of her punishment if she had one. She looked back at Riverpaw who was watching and trying to listen, but she knew he couldn’t hear anything from where she was.

DeathStar nodded. “That's understandable, you two can continue, sorry for the intervention.” she said, walking back to the ledge, where she'd always sat. ‘I wonder if..’ she thought, but hesitated. “I think I'm just overthinking it, the poor cat probably means no harm.” she whispered to herself before walking over to the pile of meat. She picked up a small price of the meat and carried it back.

Moonpaw headed back over to Riverpaw who was looking at her eagerly. “What did she want?” Riverpaw asked with curiosity. Moonpaw sat down next to him. “She was just wondering about a cat who strayed into our clan territory, she didn’t look like a threat at all.” She sighed a little glad that she wasn’t in trouble and wouldn’t have a punishment. “The other cat was licking berries and right when I was about to attack, she ran off and graystream caught me.” Riverpaws ears twitched a little. “Greystream caught you?” Moonpaw nodded. “I could of gotten in trouble, but I think he let me off this time.” She smiled.

Autumn kept snooping around and happy she wasn’t found yet. She hid in bushes and in the dark. She slowly got closer and closer to different dens snooping around and looking at stuff. She was exited by all the supplies around. Her eyes had a sparkle as she looked through another den that had food and drinking resources. She was curious and kept checking it out.

Moonpaw yawned a little. “Well I’m heading to my moss nest, I’m tired.” She stood up and walked away from Riverpaw and headed into the apprentices den. She curled up in her nest and soon felt her brother lay in a nest near her, she knew the other apprentices would come in soon. It was also the full moon tomorrow night and that meant there was a gathering, she felt butterflies in her stomach at the thought of probably going to the gathering and wanted the night to go by fast and her training to go by fast also so she could hopefully go to the gathering.

(That’s alright, no worries.) 

Autumn was almost done looking around. The last was the middle of the place. When it was darker. She blended in due to her dark colors and she ended up taking off her sweatshirt to fit in with the darkness. Once it was dark she snuck in the middle of the area and started snooping around looking at different stuff. She started to snap twigs. And she stopped moving so she could try to see a little better at her surroundings.

Moonpaw heard branches snapping in the middle of the night and groaned. “Riverpaw stop chewing twigs.” She kicked him a little. “I’m not!” Riverpaw protested to moonpaws kicking and grumbled and then hissed. Moonpaw opened her eyes and whacked him with her tail. “Your going to be sorry.” She glared sleepily at her brother which her and her brothers voices woke the other apprentices and they groaned and growled with grumpy looks on their faces. “HEY WHIET DOWN YOU 2 WE SRR TRYING TO SLEEP!” One of the apprentices hissed with frustration.

Autumn was trying to sneak away and got her paw caught in a root. 

“Eep!!”

She yelled and quickly started looking around as she kept trying to pull out her paw.

“Come out….”

Autumn kept trying to get out and leave but she physically couldn’t. Soon enough she got it out and started to pull splinters out of her paw.

(I’ll check your answer but I have to go)

Moonpaw heard the scream in the camp clearing and stood up and trotted out of the den, a few other apprentices followed her and a few warriors came out of their dens. “What’s going on?” Graystream hissed a little. “Someone’s in the camp! Intruder!” One of the other warriors called out. They brought autumn into the camp clearing by the scruff of her neck. Moonpaws jaw dropped, it was the same cat she had seen on their clan territory. She wondered what she was doing here.

DeathStar watched from afar “What's going on..?” she asked, rubbing her eye, suddenly both eyes widened.* ‘it’s the same cat from earlier, trying to sneak on territory?', she thought to herself. “Is everything alright..?” she looked at Autumn, she seemed to be limping from her splintered foot. “Are you alright, dear..?” she asked, putting a paw on her shoulder.

Moonpaw was watching autumn curiously, she knew that autumn wasn’t a threat, just the way autumn acted it didn’t seem like a rogue, it seemed more like a loner. She didn’t get any closer. “What should we do with her deathstar?” One of the warriors asked, there was anger in his eyes and another warrior looked suspicious. Some of the elders came out of their dens to see what was happening, they didn’t look happy to be intruded in their sleep. They wore a grumpy look on their faces.

"I'm not sure.." DeathStar muttered to herself “Maybe CrookedStar can help, he is Riverclan's leader.." she suggested. “He should be able to figure atleast some of this out." DeathStar explained, Autumn didn't seem like anything of a Kittypet or a stray, nor had she tried attacking, so maybe she was just looking for food.

Autumn saw her sweater by the trees and kept glancing at it. She seemed to be shivering a little and wanted her sweater but didn’t wanna try to run away due to her paw.

“My sweater…”

She said as she looked at it.

Moonpaw heard autumn ask about the sweater and glanced at it. She trotted over to it and picked it up gently and went over to autumn. “Here, you look cold.” She looked at autumn’s paw. “What about our medicine cat?” She tilted her head to the side as she looked at desthstar. She regretted questioning her leader right away and then backed up and bowed her head a little her ears going back as she prepared for desthstars anger. She knew better than to question her leader. Her leader always knew what was best and it wasn’t her duty to try and come up with something better than her leaders idea. She wasn’t even a warrior or the deputy.

Autumn smiled.

“Thank you..”

Autumn put it on and had stopped shivering. She felt happier but was also very scared for how she would get herself out of the situation. She looked around and found an exit way. But she would have to run with the sticks and pricks in her paw. She started to try and walk then she started to sorta run while everyone was looking at other things. She wasn’t very fast.

Moonpaw chased after her and blocked her way. “I’m sorry, but you can’t leave, if you do you might get yourself in trouble.” She felt bad for autumn and wondered if there was a way she could just leave without having to get in any trouble. She wouldn’t know if there was since all of the warriors seemed angry and suspicious. All of the apprentices seemed excited to find out what was going to happen. And the elders just seemed grumpy and angry that they were woken up from their sleep. Moonpaw wondered if her leader was going to summon a clan meeting to figure out what was going to be done and wondered if she would just let autumn leave and not stay here as a prisoner.

Autumn was out of breath and the cuts in her paw were deeper so now she couldn’t run and barely could walk. She seemed scared and started to sit down and look at her paw. She was panting and a little whiny. Autumn slightly pulled up her sweater. She didn’t know what to do as the trees covered the landscape and the only was Moonpaw was blocking. She was looking around quickly but could t find an escape but to go back.

“I’m sorry for the inconvenience, you were probably just curious, you didn’t mean any harm, my clan is just paranoid.” Moonpaw helped autumn to walk trying to help ease the pain, she wondered if she should just take autumn to the medicine cats den to be checked out. If autumn was out too long without treatment, her wounds would be infected and she could probably get sick. She guided autumn towards the medicine cats den and called for the medicine cat leafclaw to come help autumn, soon enough leafclaw came to the main cave where autumn and moonpaw were.

“Oh. Thank you…”

Autumn was still a bit scared but was more confident and less confused and worried. Autumn sat down and kept looking around at everything. She was fascinated by everything. Autumn didn’t know what to expect but it wasn’t this. She kept curiously looking around and her eyes shimmered from her curiosity.

Leafclaw came over to autumn. “Can you tell me what happened?” Leafclaw had been busy sorting through herbs and putting bad herbs in a pile to be thrown out. She had to stock up on herbs for when leaf bear came, the camp would be vulnerable to green cough and white cough during this season. She sniffed autumn over and found the scent of autumns wound. “Ah you got thorns I see.” She stocked off to the herb store and brought back some herbs to put onto autumns wound.

Autumn nodded

“I was curious from your clan. Plus you guys have good berries around.”

Autumn said as she looked around some more. She was fascinated, she’d never seen a place like this ever before and she was so curious. She just stared into all the little details of the den and areas.

“You always have that symbol on every inside of the dens.”

She pointed as the little water symbol marked on the den wall.

Moonpaw nodded, “yes we do.” Moonpaw didn’t quite know what they meant since she was still young and being taught everything. “I honestly don’t know what they mean, I’m still in training.” Moonpaw went red with embarrassment that she didn’t know anything about the symbol. “I will learn more, and when I become a warrior I will know everything.” Moonpaw cheered up a thought about when she would become a warrior. She couldn’t wait and got impatient at the thought.

Autumn was still looking around. But soon enough Autumn looked outside.

“Will I ever get to go outside again?”

Autumn said with a pout on her face. She already missed her little den. She thought of the leaves she could be collecting. Her tail wrapped around her body as she looked at her collection of leaves in her tail tip. She missed a lot from her small den already.

Moonpaw nodded. “I’m sure you will, but I think our leader is going to have to have you stay longer.” Moonpaws ears went down as she said it, but this was the clans ways, if they saw someone on their territory they would be suspicious and hold them prisoner till they found out what was going on. She sighed a little and looked up at the sky, it was growing darker and she knew the gathering would be soon. The thought of going filled her with excitement even though she was still worried about autumn and wished that autumn could go free.

*Autumn looked outside and gulped. She’s never had this happen or even thought of it. She was scared and at the same time exited. But her nervousness was over powering. Her paws felt heavy and so did her body. She felt light headed and scared. She watched as the moon started to rise a little. The darkness of the outdoors made her even more nervous. She was only 14 and she wasnt used to being in a territory. Usually she was between them and she was hiding.

Moonpaw noticed the fear and nervousness in autumns eyes. “It’s ok to be scared, everything will be ok.” Leafclaw finished taking care of autumns wound and gave her son poppyseeds “eat these, you will be able to sleep easier.” Leafclaw knew that autumn must be tired. Leafclaw looked at moonpaw, “you should probably go, who knows if the leader will choose you to go to the gathering tonight.
