Oliver is a simple person with simple tastes. They don't care much for the finer things in life, rather quite content with the feathers found in the woods. One thing did capture Oliver's attention above all else; the strange. Anything that wasn't-quite-real fascinated them to no end. Cryptids, spirits, the undead, all of this was studied in depth.
They found themselves on one of their usual adventures, musing over what could have created the semi-worn trail being followed. So deep was Oliver in their reverie that they nearly tripped over a large cluster of overgrown vines.
Shit! Fuck. Damn- What?
His eyes caught sight of a well worn satchel.
Now who left this here? It's nice quality. It even looks like there's something in it.
Oliver couldn't help it; they picked up the item. Which… was… attached to something… Green eyes traveled up the strap connecting him to the presumable owner. They locked eyes with what would be a startling sight for the average person. A corpse. A sweet-smelling corpse sure, and still a rotting, decomposing body. Their curiosity grew even stronger. It felt like an itch.
Maybe it was this person that left the trail… No. By the blooms of the flowers this body must have been here for longer than that. The satchel is heavy though.
They were lost in thought yet again, peering at the rather grotesquely beautiful sight; the bag still in hand.

I just started today, and I've yet to make my characters. Soon enough I'll do that.))
Riley opened her eyes and looked at the person, her eyes had a somewhat childs look in them as she ripped the vines and fell from the tree. She stood up and looked Oliver in the eyes “why hello, I am Riley and you are?” Her voice was sooth and sweet when she spoke, not harsh like how people would imagine.
Now that was surprising. In all his years he'd yet to see something like this. It-She was alive! Undead? That was yet to be discovered. Maybe they had jumped to conclusions.
“Ah-! H-helllo.” Oliver cleared his throat from the surprise that cracked their voice. “I'm Oliver.” They pushed mint curls out of their eyes as a nervous habit. “You're… Riley.” The urge to say ‘alive’ clawed at them. The sweetness of her voice helped put them at ease. Whether that was a mistake or not was also yet to be determined. There were so many questions now. They spilled out all at once.
“How long were you in those vines? Why were you hanging there? What are you doing out here? You know it's a very long ways away from anywhere. Are you really undead?”
They were silent then. The matter-of-factness was unique. No fear, just honest answers. Oliver cocked their head, studying her up and down now. Her bag was still in their hand, completely forgotten. “You were killed.” A sad look passed over his features. It was replaced by a more calm expression. “Well Riley. It's really a pleasure to meet you. We could say you're the cryptid of these woods!” Excitment began to bubble once more in Oliver. “How are you animated now then? What changed? Do you even know? There are pleanty of things that happen that I don't know anything about. That's part of the fun of it, don't you think?"
“Not… Human.” Oliver repeated the words, tasting them in their mouth. Holy shit. Finally. After so many years of looking, hoping, dreaming. The rope caught his eyes, then the glistening of her oddly colored eyes. That should have been the first clue. A gloved hand rested over the rope around her neck. Something in them pushed Oliver forward. The other hand came up to the other side and gently loosened the tool of death. Every life was precious. The noose confirmed their worst fear, murder. “Human or not, that's no reason to kill…” This was muttered more to themself. The noose was put into Olivers own bag to be burned and scattered down stream latter. Let this creature be rid of it. “Ah- I didn't ask… They're long dead Riley. Can I ask, what are you?”
The question caught them by surprise. A demon asking them what this is? “I. Well.” She was very pretty. She was also much older than them. Oliver cleared their throat, finding it suddenly dry as new images played in their brain. “Whatever you'd like this to be. I don't hate you, or anything else that isn't normal. You're… You're beautiful. The forest calms me too. I've been alone for I don't know how long now. I think you're the first anything I've spoken to in weeks. Last time was a blackbird that dived at me, the fucker."
Oliver actually snorted at that. “So forever a fiesty ninteen year old. I understand. That' must be an experience for you. Never getting the joys of your hormones leveling out. Do demons even have hormones?” Comfort took over then. The fit young individual cleared a small spot to sit and stare up at Riley from. “Do you eat?”
“corvo landed in this tree and I almost thought it was food, cause I eat my food alive as in animals or sometimes people but no one has came here except you, and you're too nice and I would feel bad"
((I'm glad! Life is full of ups and downs. We just gotta ride them with patience for ourselves.))
A carnivore that ate her food alive. Oliver's overactive imagination played a few scenes out for them, and a shiver ran down their spine. Thankfully they were safe. Really, it seemed like Riley would have eaten them by now if she wanted to. “So what made Corvo different from food? Corvo, you're a very pretty bird, I'm sure that's part of it.”
