Story

.       the world was going on as normal, people working, kids playing. Soon all of that would come to a screaming halt. Early one moring, around 3:00 am alarms started coming from everywhere, then the screams would soon follow. Some people was able to hear why this was happening  is what the radios and TV broadcasted: everyone please stay calm. If you are in your home and have family members wake them up and pack clothing and food.. then make your way to Pennsylvania. As you enter the state borders military personnel will escort you and your family to the nearest Legion founded facility. This will be safe and protected by the military personnel. I know many of you have no clue what has occurred, so let me get one of the main scientist.] Another voice started to talk. yes, thank you for having me. Now for what had happened, many of the newer scientist was doing experiments on some fungus. They ended up combining things they was. Trying to find a way to improve Trichoderma, to be stronger to fungus Ophiocordyceps camponoti-floridani. Yes this is for ants but it can get to humans to act unlike themselves and it will cause many of them to...  it would cut off. People would run and drive trying to get out off the city's would come to a stop. Some of the test subject that escaped. Would run at them biting. The 'zombies' face had fungus all over them hair falling out the skin was rotting at a increasing speed. Some was crawling others walking then some running not a slow run but a faster than normal humans. They would attack and bite people. Chaos was all around. You would barely make in to stay but not to Pennsylvania.

                                                 Nine years later

You have survived, well so far anyways. You have lived day to day. Power is still up well in some city's anyways, but no TV. Nature well it has reclaimed city's and every where. Most city's now have armed forces going around checking and guarding the city's. The United States was now under Martial Law. The zombies have grown you've heard that they are other types. More people have died some not even a zombie but just by shooting. You hear that The Paragon is working on a so called cure for what they have made. The towns become full of the invaders out for the blood of whatever. The zombies  are living and breathing to some degree. It has got to the ponit that in some underground parts like the swears or just tunnels or subway gas spores have formed and well, If you like your living human life you have a gasmask. Those spore also spreed the infection. It's sad what the US has come too. Hell, you have seen young kids that will never know what it was like before this time all they will ever know is barely surviving or watching people they know change. Even the food all you have are rations you hardly ever get real food and you get very few of them. Those cards that seem to give life that is the money now almost. This world is every person for themself. You have changed with the time so far but can you change even more or become one of the dead men or the living dead?

                                                 Groups

This is some groups not all of them. If you'd like you may make one of your own.

Paragon- The Paragon is the science facility that created the virus and is trying to find a cure for it but it isn't working.

The Legion- was working with the government when it stood but now it is the government. They are the once who pick when and where a safety building gets made. Among other things

Survivor Republic - is a group of family's that is attempting to almost rebuild a town and safety for them and there kids they invite anyone who wants even for a night.

Deviant Aliance- one of the groups who want to fight against the government and Paragon.

T.R.D(The Ration Distributor )- mostly military personnel or people that they trust to give out Rations of food who often is low on food.

The Lost Souls( Lost Soul Syndicate ) and The Walkers many know of them but they don't know what they stand for nor where they are.

the WLF,- nicknamed "Wolves", to fight for better living conditions for civilians in the zone.  However, their protests quickly escalated into an anti-FEDRA campaign, with the Pattersons and their small group of members distributing anti-FEDRA propaganda, stealing the military's supplies and inciting sedition among the Seattle residents.

The Seraphites - also called Scars by outsiders.. It was here a woman supposedly had a vision, from which she became inspired to live an egalitarian life and strive for humanity to live off the land again, detached from mortal pleasures and reliance on technology. She was also a fierce fighter, able to defeat numerous infected that attacked the community. Her charismatic sermons preaching that the Cordyceps brain infection was a punishment brought on by humanity's own sins and was a second chance for humanity to redeem itself inspired members in the community to do likewise, with the residents soon living independently. They fought off infected and looters and grew food on the land they lived on

Martial law is the substitution of a civil government by military authorities with unlimited powers to suspend the ordinary legal protections of civilian rights

Ashton Henry Hickman

Unknown

Ashton was in a abandoned town. His short brown hair was blowing in the wind as he walked. He held his gun tightly in his sweaty hands his eye looked from left to right then back again. His breathing was calm and shallow. He moved slowly with his limp. He would go into a old building that read something Pharmacy.  Ashton would look around the pill bottles and put what he needed into a bag. Soon he put his bag on his back and walked back into a Store. He would try and stay quite.

Where is the food? Come on please have some. Ashton would quietly beg as he took what he could into the bag. As Ashton did this he would make sure that the carmas was offline which they was or he hoped so. The deeper Ashton went into the store more things was knocked over and a mess.

The more time he spent the less hope he had for the food. This small town couldn't be where he would always stay. He just thought it would be longer but he was wrong. His dull eyes would stop when he saw his savior, Food. His hands quickly took what was left. It was still in date lucky for Ashton. He put in his bag and fell to the ground laying against the broken shelves. plan, I need a plan, stop calm down. Ashton would close his eyes and take a breath. He had everything that he could need for now.

He was in this town for some time he took his dirty brown bagpack and fixed it on his bag. Before he would stand up he took his 9mm in his hand. He stood up and began to walk. He had a slight limp as he walked. His jeans was dirty with: dust, mud, and dried blood. Some of the blood might of been his but most of it was from others rather that be zombies or human. The world to him and everyone else was now a kill or be killed. His brown eyes would narrow as he started to walk to the door of a shop and wait.

                  Somewhere  in   South Dakota

Adrian was walking about she had a cigarette in her mouth that she half already halfway finshed though at the moment she had not lit it. Her red hair was blowing in the wind as she walked. She walked down a long empty street.  Her footsteps echoes though the once busy city. Her shot gun in hand and redy to shoot if the need arises.  Yet, for now she walked her jacket trailing behind her as she walked into a collapsing budling.

The budling would groan under her weight at some ponits.ponits.her hand would twitch as she her the sounds of a up coming hord of zombies though they seemed to be a good distance away for now anyways. With that she quickly ran up the stairs her boots hitting each steep with a thud to right afterwords.

Adrian found a window that has been broken open by something or another and took her right hand and every so carefully dusted away the glass thar remained behind. Her fingerless gloves would keep the palm of her hand from being cut as for the tips they would be pinned and cut by the sharp glass. She lowered her body so she would be hidden by most of the wall her shotgun aimed out the window.

                             Survivor Republic

Riley was a young teenager around the age of fifteen. Though with the way everyone would treat her it was as if she was five. Her pure white hair would blow behind her showing her ice blue eyes and ever so slightly muddied face. The Survivor Republic was full of life before talking and going on trying to make this the new normal. She had managed to sneak out of her house that seemed to be right smack dab in the middle of town.

She would stay on the low trying to hide behind things such as post or people and so on. It took a good while but soon she made it to the edge of the town. Her eyes looked out into the unknown into the danger. She knew if she dared to walk out and was found she would be scolded by everyone in the town. Yet how much she wanted to. Just enough to touch the grass and look about that could never cause any harm right? So with a look to her left then the right before slowly creeping into the long grass it was up to her wasit as she walked about trying not to be caught.

Altair Miller

Altair peered out into the desolate wasteland that had replaced the once-thriving metropolis. The sky overhead took on an unpalatable yellow-orange hue, and the atmosphere reeked of decay and demise. Having faced far worse in his eventful lifetime, he had developed the ability to withstand such adverse scenarios where others perished. Altair had become accustomed to the unkindness of the world, where he existed as a solitary predator like a wolf, traversing the wilderness with his loyal German Shepherd, Tonitru.

Altair's revolver swung rhythmically from its holster, effortlessly matching his scans of the surroundings. A deep-seated sense of trust linked the two, with Tonitru serving as his only true comrade in this brave new world. They hunted together to satisfy their voracious appetite, constantly setting their sights forward while remaining vigilant for any unforeseen challenges. Altair valued Tonitru’s innate abilities to identify possible dangers expertly, with a mastery of the art of attacking, once Altair granted the go-ahead. Nevertheless, Altair knew too well that the threats presented weren't limited to mere flesh-eating undead.

Surveying the vast open space that lay ahead, Altair charted his course toward the remnants of the abandoned city. There were faint rumours of a nascent settlement nestled within those dilapidated ruins, one that offered the slightest glimmer of hope amidst the chaos. Even with his ingrained cautious nature, Altair was aware that he couldn't continue aimlessly wandering in search of a purpose indefinitely. Perhaps this estranged city was the key to survival for both him and Tonitru.

Adrian Violetta Hawthorne

A desolate and eerie landscape, the  streets was mpty, except for the occasional horde zombies shuffling by. Cars would be abandoned and overturned. Buildings nearby would also be crumbling and in a state of disrepair, with broken windows and graffiti on the walls. The sky wwas dark, with clouds and the orange sky a eirrie shade. In the distance, the sound of zombies groaning and moaning can be heard, creating a sense of fear and danger. Overall, the view wwas one of  destruction and chaos, with a constant feeling of being under threat. Then as she narrowed her eyes looking into her scope she saw something it didn't seem to move like a zombie and what was that following? So many questions so few answers. The red head sighed before running to try and get a better veiw of the two unknown objects.

Higher up she ran and then climbed into the window the vudling was within jumping reach and so that would be what she did throwing her gun on her back then pulling herself up. The veiw seemed better so she looked down the scope once more, was that a man, and.. his what was that? It was to far to see but she made no move. She say there unsure on what to do now.

Altair presumed that he had effectively eluded the undead mob. His confident stance was impeded once he perceived another cluster of the ghastly creatures ahead of him. Dashing behind a crumpled automobile, he clutched onto Tonitru, his weapon of choice, and feared as beads of sweat emerged on his forehead; knowledge of the fact that just one scratch or bite could render him as a member of their kind was subsequently disturbing. Observing a red-headed woman dashing towards an adjacent edifice, he desisted from the notion of erroneously deeming her as a potential ally, for in this unforgiving epoch, distrust prevailed over any stratagem or alliance.

He gingerly strode into the building, cognizant of the woman in the remote background. Computational analysis of the surroundings was swiftly executed with utmost precision before making his appearance known. Stepping out of the shadows and into the direct illumination, Altair’s revolver was at the ready, shrouding any categorical engagement until the woman's communication was initiated. Within the contours of this new world, trust held no categorical value, compounded by the dearth of any prescribed treatise on such topics.

It was a man and a.. dog? Her eyebrow would rase at the sight. Then she saw light gleaming off of what she knew to be some kind of gun, though the man wasn't aiming it at her whitch was a good sign? Right? She tried to think of ways that this might go and not many went well. She took the until cigarette out of her mouth  and into her jacket pocket  before putting both of her hands to the gun that was aimed out the window just in case.

“ Who are you?” Her voice was ruff and had a accent to it she clearly wasn't from the States. The accent seemed one of somewhere in southern Ireland though where was unclear. Her voice seemed to not waver yet soft and strong. Her hands tightened on her gun her eyes l9cked on the man in the unknown and unsafe world. A slight wind would pick up causing some bangs to get on her eyes whitch she cursed herself as she took a hand away from the gun to move it so she could see. Her jacket ripped behind her and two tags hit one another's causing a soft ting as they did so. She pulled her gun out of the window but would still hide her face and body.

Altair steadfastly maintained his unwavering posture, impervious to the female's presence. Although he could not fathom her intentions, her armed presence did not escape his vigilant scrutiny. Notably, her cloaked concealment indicated a cautious reluctance on her part as well. In a world where survival remains paramount, trust constitutes a rare commodity, hence mindful circumspection is indispensable.

"I am Altair," he declared, resolute, his revolver still fixated towards her. "Now, who are you?"

His voice was devoid of any inflection, evincing none of the emotions or weaknesses that could prove detrimental in a situation where tempers flare up. His eyes continued to gaze directly at the woman, vigilant for any signs of animosity or subterfuge. The current world mandates a heightened alertness for any eventuality, and Altair remained comprehensively prepared.

Adrian Violetta Hawthorne

“ Adrian.” She gave a quick response to his question.  It was fair after all she couldn't deny him that the redhead  quickly asked another question,  “ what are you? You want to shoot me or just by the luck of whatever?” She called looking to the stairs. After she asked she dashed to them still crouching going down one level. She kept low in a prone position crawling so he couldn't quite  see her. Adrian crawled on her belly in the dusty floor her eyes moving about as she came up with a plan something she dud with ease. Coming up with plans on the go.

He would see one of her hands on the broken window tapping before quickly taking it back to her body.

Altair's pupils constricted to a pinhole diameter, as his firearm remained steadfast on the last known position of the woman. With supreme brevity, he stated, "I do not wish to hurt you, but that doesn't mean I won't if you force my hand." His tone was sharp and to the point.

Tonitru voiced his disapproval by yapping in the woman's wake, adroitly pursuing after her. Altair stood firmly rooted against the wall, ever vigilant, attuned to any indication of peril. "I'm not lookin' for enemies, but I won’t hesitate to defend myself if necessary." The subsequent stillness was interrupted solely by Tonitru's strident sound, signifying the continuation of his pursuit.

Altair sustained his watchful gaze upon Adrian's motion, never relenting his gun from her line of sight. Although her sudden escape towards the stairs caught him off guard, Altair's concentration never waned. As she vanished from his scope, the sound of the lady's tapping against the shattered window reached him. Although he suspected duplicity, he wisely chose to wait and conduct a scrupulous appraisal. His tone was deliberate, keeping the atmosphere of tension under tight control. "I am merely a survivor in this world, like you, Adrian. The world as we knew it is gone, replaced by this barren wasteland. I have no ill intentions towards you, but as you can see, we must remain cautious at all times." Subsequently, he traced her movements with his eyes, whilst continuing to keep his weapon peered towards her. "That being said, I was merely provoked because I saw a gun being pointed out of the window. I did not know as to whether or not it was towards me, so this is me bein' cautious."

Adrian Violetta Hawthorne

“ well of course. I would do the same.” Her tone was a lot calmer and smoth than before.  She stood up, “ try anything and I promise you I don't miss.” She called before slowly standing up and holding her gun in her hand. The gun was ponited to the ground her body was still slightly hunched down as she slowly started walking down the stairs to the ground floor. She slowly crept to the door and walked out her long red hair blowing in the wind. She would stare down at Tonitru unsure. What if Tonitru was going to attack her though the thoughts raced through her mind she kept her gun lowered. Her hand twiched ever so slightly.

Altair's eyes meticulously tracked Adrian's movements, his firearm remaining perfectly trained on her. He was acutely aware that this was an exceedingly precarious situation, and as a result, he maintained an unequivocally unrelenting focus. However, despite the heightened tension that pervaded the air, a great sense of relief washed over him as he observed Adrian lower her weapon, so he subtly did the same, also lowering his revolver. "Glad we're on the same page," he remarked in a controlled, low tone.

Tonitru, too, was observed by Altair with sanguinary vigilance. His ears perked up as Adrian descended the staircase, and Altair's grip on his firearm tightened even more, though his directed focus never left Adrian.

Adrian Violetta Hawthorne

“ lower your gun I have mine lowered” her eye twiched with slight irritation her gun hadn't been ponited at h8m not since she walked down. “ I don't like when trust is one sided. Do you?” Her head titled to one side with a rasied eyebrow as she paused. Her face showed no sign of fear or anything, well beside a question gaze. Her slightly narrowed eyes would go between him and Tonitru before stopping on Tonitru. She lowered down to the dusty ground putting her shotgun behind her out of Altair's reach.

Her arm slightly streach led out so maybe Tonitru would walk up and smell her hand so she could pet him if he let her that was.

Altair's eyes flickered back and forth between Adrian's lowered weapon and her piercing gaze. Her words were of course valid, and her actions thus far were not those of an untrustworthy individual. He took a deep breath and lowered his own firearm, albeit with a palpable reluctance. "Fair enough," he murmured in acquiescence.

Tonitru, sensing some semblance of safety, slowly padded towards Adrian's extended hand, his broad tail swishing back and forth excitedly. Altair watched with a cautious curiosity, his posture still tense and alert, though he appreciated Adrian's gesture of goodwill.

"I trust Tonitru's judgment," he admitted with a small smile. “And he's never given me reason not to trust mine.

Adrian Violetta Hawthorne

“ yes what a good boy you are,Tonitru.” Adrian would softly pet him before standing up and looking at him. She gave a curt nod of appreciation to Altair. “ thank you for putting the gun down. ” the redhead was more at ease now though she would still shift from one foot to another. She looked about motioning for them to follow her. She would walk into the budling not ful)NG safe outside with the possibility of a group of zombies coming this way. She lead them inside before blocking the door so nothing could get inside.

(Just resendin’ this so the RP doesn’t fall off of the face of the Earth. 💀👍))

Adrian watched fondled Tonitru, noting with a sense of contentment how his furry companion relished the affection. Rising to his feet, Altair flicked off some of the grime that had settled on his clothes before returning Adrian's display of gratitude with a nod. "It's the least we can do. We're all just trying to survive."

Following Adrian's lead, Altair and Tonitru trailed behind her into the edifice. Altair maintained a watchful gaze, his hand permanently fixated beside the handle of his knife, alert for any sign of potential threats. The walls were dingy, reeking of the putrid scent of rot. But for the interim, it was a refuge, and that was adequate.

Once they crossed the threshold, as Adrian obstructed the entrance, Altair exhaled a sigh of relief, yet sensing a measure of security. Tonitru plopped himself down at his side, angling his head up to garner his attention. Altair lowered his arm and caressed the canine's ears.

Adrian Violetta Hawthorne

(So sorry!)

Adrian would sigh as she started to slowly lead them up slightly. She wouldn't quite respond to him yet. After a while of pure silence she would respond as she slowly walked up the old stairs. “ Yeah surviving.” She mumbled as the old budling cracked under their weight. Her movements was swift and quick. Adrian soon walked to a old wooden door and opened it.

The room had old rusted desks and filling cabinets.  Some vines had grown inside through some of the windows. Then had some lights in the corner that wasn't lit yet. “ here this is a fairly safe spot” the redhead stated with a nod.

As they ascended the dilapidated stairs, Altair couldn't but think that the entire building was on the brink of collapse under the weight of their climb. The walls, fissured and peeled, with tendrils of ivy infiltrating through crevices, were reminiscent of an aged and suffering structure. The shattered windows allowed the wind to whistle mournfully through the hollow chambers. The door to the room they entered had weathered and rusted, clinging perilously onto its hinges.

Nevertheless, the interior was not as squalid as anticipated. The space was demarcated by aged, rusted desks, and filing cabinets that had been toppled over and left open indiscriminately, spilling their contents on the ground. The walls adorned with flaking paint and cobwebs created a stifling atmosphere of timorousness. Scattered across the floor was a small cluster of lights, some flickering and dying out. The oscillating illumination projected lugubrious shadows across the room.

In the midst of the chaos, a solitary cabinet stood upright, its bronze handle encrusted with dirt and grime. This antique piece, clothed with intricate carvings along the edges, appeared to be the only structure that had emerged unscathed in the aftermath of the apocalypse. Its aesthetic beauty was somewhat preserved by the presence of a small vase of wildflowers perched atop it, a striking contrast to the rugged and grungy environment.

Despite the appearance of decay, Altair could not sense any immediate danger, which was a comforting thought. As Tonitru strolled across the room, his paws clacking against the wooden floor, Altair took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. They were alive, and that was all that mattered for now.

Adrian Violetta Hawthorne

“ so if you don't mind me asking.” Adrian would start as she looked out a window not really looking at them in the moment. “ what are you doing around here?” She quizzed him before tapping her fingers on the edge of a broken window. Turning on her heels going to the sleeping bag and put down her heavy bag looking through it pulling out a small bag. It looked to have some kind of jerky in it. Shr took it and shut her bag taking a peace of it for herself then offering Altair the bag to get some. She was quite hoping he would take some.

“ food. I promise it's safe.” The redhead told after taking a bite of her own food. Then taking some vines and clearing off the table well a part of it. Putting her shotgun on it staring to clean it still on edge though now in this world it was for the best.best. Her eyes looking into the empty dead city scape.scape.the color of her eyes unclear because her hat casted a shadow over them and partly covered them.them.though they was narrowed in though her fingers tapping slowly. Then stopping out of no where her body couldn't keep up with her mind going ing every witch way.

The budlying clearing from some wind and that would be when they heard it. Clicking as if a bunch of bat's was close by thoughts was no bat's none at all but they was bad news. The sound causing Adrian to move faster all at the same  time. Then flooded by groans a good ways away but still if they could hear them Adrian didn't fell same.

The tranquility of the empty building was interrupted as Adrian's words pierced through the silence like a shard of glass, reverberating off the walls. Altair, with apprehension still prevalent, inclined his head to heed her words while keeping a cautious eye on the entrance, aware of any potential danger that lurked there.

He muttered in response, "We're just trying to survive like everybody else, I guess," although his complete trust in Adrian remained elusive, seeing her effort to extend an olive branch was promising.

As Adrian offered him a bag of jerky, Altair displayed visible skepticism before overcoming his starving hunger pangs and accepting the sachet, refraining from smiling due to his continued vigilance. The flavors of the food intensified in his mouth, satisfying his hunger to an extent.

The swift movements of Adrian, coupled with the building tension emanating from her, acted like a sharp prod to Altair's instincts and he braced in anticipation of an imminent assault. First came the guttural clicking sound, almost indescribable, that reverberated through their bones like a seismic tremor. The groans that accompanied it confirmed his worst fear: the Undead had appeared.

Immediately, Adrian's agility came into play and Altair, grateful for her dependability, was left in no doubt that they were in dire need of vigilance. The moans did not signal instantaneous proximity; characteristically implying that the hordes of zombies were still at some distance. Nevertheless, Altair remained steadfast and drew closer to Adrian, his gun in hand and his eyes alert. The room flickered, as if from the shadows, like a strobe light while the groans approaching in crescendo grew closer, signaling their imminent arrival.

Adrian Violetta Hawthorne

“Fair point.” was all that she could mutter out under the thrum of the wind causing  the vine's to hit the side of the old ramshackle building. the clicks was coming a bit faster than the groans, the horrifying sound's that filled every ones nightmares. the clicks that could once be only from bat's which was harmless for the most part was now part of the fungus covered undead. The echolocation used so they could see.

Adrian looked to her two guest then back out the window getting her bag ready before rushing to get her gun. her finger twitched as the loaded the gun but then looked in her bag as pulled on a 9mm. it had tape about it so it was clearly in need of repair. the woman flung her bag over her shoulder shifting her feet about for a mere moment before looking over to Altair. walking to the door and turning to face the man and his trusty companion.

“ come on,” then after a moment of hesitation she continued, “ we have to options here: one we fight here or two we try to leave the town of course we would still more than likely see some of the infected.” Adrian would pause giving him a moment to think about everything she said. What he wished to do would be his choice.

her gun was pointed to the ground at a angle so if need be she could quickly raise it at whatever was nearby. though this was a stress inducing time she seemed to be oddly calm. she looked to Altair then the window what perfect timing, the sun was starting to fall. then if they was lucky they would have the moonlight to go by in a few hours if not then it would be time for flashlights.

Altair's cardiac rhythm escalated as he apprehended the sound of the clicking, a dreadful thought dawning upon him that the Undead were most unfavorably hungry. His heart was thudding rapidly within his chest whilst he pondered in silence his alternatives. The moans were approaching closer, and the clicking sounds were escalating in both intensity and frequency. He glanced at Tonitru, whose auditory perception was enhanced with ears erect and growling menacingly, sensing the imminent danger.

As Adrian tactically maneuvered herself, Altair kept a watchful eye on her, observing her adeptness with the firearm, indicating that she was not ready to succumb without a fight. Adrian proffered Altair a choice between two options, and he perceived his pulse accelerating as he felt unease with either of them. Nonetheless, a decision had to be made. He comprehended that remaining in their current location and fighting might provide them with some prospective chance, but if they could abandon the town, they might ascribe a higher possibility of safe escape.

Following a momentary lapse of silence, Altair inhaled deeply before expounding, "We need to leave the town. I don't think we stand much of a chance against them if we stay, and we can't risk being caught off-guard." He paused briefly to meet Adrian's unwavering gaze, his countenance firm. "Let's move out while there's still daylight. We'll be more vulnerable in the dark."

Adrian Violetta Hawthorne

Adrian would just give a swift nod to him before turning on her heels.  She would then glace over her ahoulder to make sure that the two was following her.  Tonitru was cute and sweet, yes, but his barking put her on edge. she had a flashlight in hand though it wasn't on yet. the budling creeking under the groups feet and Tonitru's paws. normally she would of escorted whomever to jump to the budling that the one they was in was on. though this time they must take the long way around, as not to have Tonitru get harmed in the prosses. as she was setting a brisk pace as they descended down the rickety stairs.

when they got to the bottom she lead Altair and Tonitru  two a hole in the wall. the hole was covered by some light things that wouldn't make much sounds as she moved them.

“Now, we have got to be quiet. they will be Clickers around they can't see but they can find up or anything.” She told them as more of a warnning though it was also a threat looming over them. Adrian would be the first to emerge from the budling. the night was falling, and falling fast.  then the group would see one.

A….Clicker…

…These sinister creatures borne from a twisted fusion of fungal infection and human transformation embody a ghastly spectacle that sends shivers down the spine.

As she cautiously traverse the desolate streets her breath hitches with every step aware that one wrong move could unleash these abominations upon them all. Their grotesque forms loom amidst the shadows shrouded in tattered remnants of what used to be their human existence. Limbs contorted their spines arched in a macabre dance of disfigurement they move with an unnatural grace their motions eerily silent.

The clickers' anatomy betrays the horror of their existence. Fungal overgrowth paints their once-human faces with grotesque shades of sickly green and mottled brown obscuring any remnants of humanity. Their eyes devoured by the infection are replaced by gaping cavities serving as a chilling reminder of their lost humanity and the darkness that now consumes them.

Adrian crouches down to the grass and freezes waiting for them to do the same.
