I had a random idea where rengoku did end up turning into a demon but still is a good person kinda like nezuko

Would he still be a Hashira?

Uzui had taken a mission off just to be next to Rengoku's bed. Red flowers sat on the table from Rengokus brother, and he hadn't moved in two days. Master had understood, but he still felt bad for not helping out with the others. He was still a Hashira after all!

What was rengokus special ability or does he not have one? I don’t remember)) 

Rengoku shifted slightly but still had little sign of waking up. He seemed to be having a dream of some sort

Tengen hesitated as he looked around, then gently took Rengoku'shand. He hadn't really told anyone but the Master, not even his wives.

Rengoku smiled faintly and sighed quietly. While he wasn’t conscious he could vaguely tell what was going on. His eyes slowly began to open

Uzui had his hair down, his headband laid on the nightstand. Along with a glass of water and his hairtie.

He smiled lightly and looked at his hand before moving his gaze upwards to Tengens face. “Morning” he said softly

His eyes widened and he stood up. "Kyojuro?" He whispered as if the thought it was a dream.

He chuckled softly before coughing. “Yea it’s me” he said smiling once he caught his breath. He looked around the room

He let go of his hand. "Hold on I'll go get someone!"

He sighed and nodded “alright…. Thank you” he said quietly watching him. He wanted more time to talk to him though.

He walked out, grabbing Shinobou and nurses.

He sighed and closed his eyes again taking a deep breath. He winced slightly as he slowly breathed out

The nurses all rebandaged him, and gave him medicine.


Uzui stood and rested against the wall. He didn't want to get in anyone's way, and he was a large man.

After a little while rengoku was sat up against the bed. He was already seeming better. He waited for the nurses to leave before he waved to Tengen

Tengan walked forward and stopped in front of Kyojuro. "You scared me."

He looked up at him and smiled “sorry about that…” he muttered “how long have I been out for?”

"Two months." He muttered quietly, reaching for his hand again.

Wait I thought it was 2 days))

His eyes widened slightly “two months?” He asked softly and sighed. “What happened while I was gone?”

Tanjiro was out two days, but Rengoku got stabbed and half his head blown so I'd say two months. But we can say two days if you'd like.)

"A lot- The three boys and the demon lived, and are out on missions- I took time off to be here- But I was hoping you'd wake up because I have to leave tomorrow." He sighed in response.

He smiled “at least they are alive” he muttered “and where are you leaving to?” He asked softly looking up at him

"West. There's something there. I'm just going to check it out, then come back and grab a few people to help me." He smiled.

He sighed and nodded “well don’t take to long” he said softly “and try not to get hurt”

"You're one to talk!" He smiled a little. "You almost died, I'm allowed to get a few scratches."

he chuckled "alright just don't die" he muttered and smiled. "and when you come back remeber to visit"

Obanai knocked on the doorframe and walked in, causing Uzui's hand to jerk away from Kyojuros.

He looked up and waved smiling “hello nice to see you again Obanai “ he said softly “do you need something?”

"This is a really annoying situation." He sighed in annoyance, sitting on the edge of Rengoku's bed. "You can return to the Hashira soon, right? What do you think? Next week?"

He sighed “well I was thinking of taking a slightly break… maybe even visit my father” he muttered “but soon I should be able to”

"Hashira don't get breaks." He glared. "The only reason Uzui got one, was because he's been here since he was like- 12."

He sighed and shook his head "I guess your right about that... Alright I should be able to get back onto missions soon"

Obanai crossed his arms, "How soon?"


"Oguro. Let him rest, I will alert you when he's ready." Tengen interuppted.

He looked at Tengen and smiled slightly “thanks…” he muttered. “Though I should be able to get out again in a week or so”

Obanai stood up. "I'll tell Master." He hummed, and left in one swift movement.

He sighed and looked at Tengen “I’m still trying to figure him out…” he muttered and shook his head

"Ask Mitsuri, she seems to be the only one who can talk to him." He smiled, sitting back down in the chair.

“I will” he skilled “by the way do you know we’re all the others are? Or are they off on missions?” He asked

"You might be disappointed, but we haven't seen Muichiro ever sense you left- We didn't send anyone out with him to the Swordsmith village, and he left for a mission. He might be.." He trailed off, he knew Rengoku took care of Muichiro- Would it be insensitive to say dead?

He shook his head “I’m sure he’s fine…” he muttered though there was a bit of worry visible on his face.

"Other than that, everyone but Mitsuri and Giyuu are here." He smiled.
