Naemi, a 16 year old girl who was a Sophomore in High School. She lived in an apartment with her father and a few other kids her age. She got dressed for school, and walked down the creaky steps that led her to the front door. The concrete steps after that were a change of pace, so she could run without waking up her neighbors. She finally got to the rocky pave of the bus stop, where there was only one other person, Natalie. Natalie had been new to the apartment building until this year. She lived in town, her whole life, but not this building. Naemi stood there, awkwardly rocking back and forth without realizing.Â
When the bus finally came, Naemi got on first. In her usual seat. The back row to the left. She placed her belongings there. She grabbed her phone out of her pocket and strategically used it at an angle the driver couldn't see. The bus filled up along the way, Naemi heard the shouts of boys yelling slurs and insults around playfully at each other. The bus ride had always been hell. Since the first day of middle school when she was 11. It had been almost the same exact people since back then, except for Natalie.
