Chihara Academy, a haven for the supernatural and those curious of the sort. Located on the outskirts of a large forest, and hidden from normal view; the vast building serves as a sanctuary for society's unwanted.
Classes were just beginning for the day, most students already pouring from their dorms and gathering their supplies. Winona was one of these students, taking a moment to rub the sleep from her eyes as she approached a locker.

Shadow just came out of her dorm and started to walk to her classes when she bumped into Winona
Winnie's head turned, a small frown on her lips as she stared at the stranger. "Excuse me."
She brushed off the front of her shirt, closing her locker after collecting her textbook.

She inspected the stranger for a moment before sighing. "It's whatever. Just.. Try not to do it again, ok?" She mumbled, almost awkwardly.
She felt a little bad for snapping, chewing on the inside of her cheek for a moment before sighing. "I'm sorry. I'm Winnie." She held her hand out, offering a wry smile.
"What's your name?"
"What's your name?"
She nodded, taking in what Shadow said and smiling again. "I don't think I've seen you around before." Could just be Winnie failing to pay attention as per usual. But she didn't want to conversation to grow stale.
Yeah I’m new to the school I’m only went to one of my classes though this is gonna be a tough year huh
"Things here aren't all bad." She scratched the back of her head as she spoke, trying to look at the positive side.
"Sometimes it's just the people." Yeah. Like the ones who freak out on strangers? Good going Winnie. She was seemingly scolding herself in her head before looking back up to Shadow.
"Do you have your schedule with you? Maybe I can help you out."

Winnie blinked, raking through her memories before nodding. "I think I remember where that is. Follow me." She motioned with her hands towards Shadow before turning and making her way down the hall.
Winnie walked quietly, shoving her hands in the pockets of her jeans. Her eyes scanned the passing signs hanging above the classrooms before stopping in front of the one she was looking for. She turned her head to look back at Shadow to ensure she was still there.
"Here we are."
"Here we are."
She exhaled softly, hesitating for a moment before heading to her own class, adjusting the book she kept tucked under her arm.
Winnie had been leaving her class, intending to meet up with Shadow to show them around. Her steps faltered when she noticed the altercation, her eyes narrowing a bit.
She plastered a sickly sweet smile as she made her way over, crossing her arms over her chest.
"There isn't an issue over here, is there?"

"There isn't an issue over here, is there?"
"Join you in what, exactly?" She seemed annoyed at the entire interaction.
Winnie could feel her anger boiling over, a scowl crossing her features. "All of you piss off, and leave her alone."
"I said get lost!" Winnie slammed the side of her closed fist against one of the lockers nearby, putting a good softball sized dent into it. Her hand ached only for a moment, the adrenaline seemingly acting as a painkiller.
The boys had scattered, cursing the two beneath their breath as they went to find something else to entertain themselves with.
Winnie sighed, raking her good hand through her hair before looking to Shadow.
"Remember what I said about the people?" She offered with an awkward laugh.

She nodded, wiping her hands off on the front of her jeans. "You're ok? They didn't yanno hurt you too bad or anything?"
"Good. Well, I'll walk you to your next class then." She smiled a bit awkwardly. "Make sure they don't come back or anything like that."
"It's the least I can do." She began walking, staring ahead silently.
She glanced back at Shadow as she spoke, "Eh? No. I'm just not really used to being the welcoming committee for the school."
"Soo.. What drew you to the school, where did you come from?" She tried her best to keep conversation topics flowing, scratching the back of her neck. It was a bad habit she picked up when she was feeling uneasy.
