Rowena has always been into acting. Ever since she had been a little girl. She would spend hours on end dancing around her bedroom, or doing little plays with her parents. She was an only child, so she didn't have any other siblings. She had one aunt and uncle, whom she had looked up too since day one. When she had hit middle school, was when she started auditioning for the school plays, and always landing the main roles. Not many people realized that she was such a good actress, and that she would one day make a name for herself. When she had finally gotten into High School, she was taking the acting classes, and was planning on attending New York Film Academy. She was already planning on putting in her application her senior year.
She's now in her early twenties, and has been in New York since she had left high school. She was doing well in her classes, and she was starting to eye the Broadway stage. She wanted everything that came with the acting. She was thinking about travelling to Hollywood one day as well, just so she could get into some huge films. She was trying to make a name for herself. That's when Your Name Here popped up into her life. He wasn't one to really chase after his dreams. He was a stage hand at the college, and he'd been watching Rowena for the last couple of years. He was too scared to talk to talk to her, and she never really paid him much attention either. That was until the day that Your Name Here had to step into the main male lead, for one of the plays the college was putting on.
Your Name Here didn't want to do it, and he was pretty much being pressured to do it. When he found out that Rowena was the main lead like always, he finally took a shot. What'll happen when Your Name Here gets a taste of acting? Will he want to pursue the same dreams as Rowena has? Will Rowena finally see Your Name Here in a different light? Or will she just think of him as the stage hand, and treat him the same? What'll happen when they start spending more and more time together, and they start to gain feelings for one another? Will Your Name Here land his dream girl? Or will it all fall apart? You'll never know unless you join, Broadway Dreams.

[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 [#DDB9B9 "Finally"] she breathed out. She made her way to the small coffee shop on campus. She was getting more and more nervous for the next day. She hoped she would get Belle in the play. She shoved those thoughts aside, as she stepped into the coffee shop, found a table near the back and sat down. She might as well people watch for a while. It would help set her mind at ease for the time being. She sat there, looking out the window, watching as people passed by.]]
[font "Times New Roman" Stephen yelled out as his notebook was launched down the hallway, the man who caught it laughing and holding it above his head. This happened like clockwork it seemed, these guys could never just give him a break. He took off, full sprint down the hallway to try to snatch his notes back. Those were important, angles for rigging equipment, the types of lights the stage used. He needed all of it, and the last thing he wanted was one of these nutjobs destroying his work.
His fingers outstretched, reaching for the worn leather that bound the cover, before weight came from his left, forcing him into a nearby door. He hit the door with a heavy thud, the air getting knocked out of him momentarily. The boy who had shoved him was laughing, practically doubled over. Chocolate brown curls fell down over Stephen’s eyes, hiding the angry flames that burned in them.
Wasn’t college supposed to be easier? Why the hell did guys like this seemingly follow him everywhere he went? Was it the way he dressed, the way he walked? What made him a target for these assholes to make fun of? The book was dropped to the carpeted floor, a heavy foot stepping onto the cover and leaving a muddy impression. The group walked off, high fiving and laughing at their conquest before disappearing around the corner. He scrambled across the floor to grab his things, pushing himself to his feet before hurrying off to the nearest bathroom to clean off his book.
Stephen might not have had much finesse while navigating the social world of young adulthood, but he was adept at stage handling. He always had terrible stage fright, so acting wasn’t really his cup of tea, but watching and helping make it happen made him happy. He had been doing it for years, even got a partial scholarship because of it. He had already been selected to help out with the upcoming play, so all of this should’ve been a piece of cake.
He begrudgingly tried wiping off the filth with his shirt, grumbling beneath his breath as he moved through the hallways, glancing up to ensure he wasn’t going to bump into anyone. His stomach growled in protest as he stopped, glancing down and frowning a bit. He hadn’t eaten since yesterday morning, too anxious about getting everything set up in the theater to think of himself. He dug through his pocket for his phone, a small crack in the screen catching the light.
He scrolled for a few moments through Google maps before finding a nearby place that seemed like a good start on finding some food. He checked his pockets, ensuring he had his wallet and dorm key before heading out. The short walk to the coffee shop was nice, and helped clear his head from the events that took place earlier. The sounds of cars whizzing by on the highway about a mile south of campus added to the quiet atmosphere around him.
The bell above the door chimed as it pushed open, Stephen stepping inside and taking a look around. He cleared his throat awkwardly and walked further inside, inspecting the chalkboard menu that hung above the registers eagerly.]
[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 Rowena had been so wrapped up in her thoughts, that when the sound of the bell above the door tingled it made her jump slightly. She turned her eyes towards the door closing, and spotted the male standing there looking at the chalk board. She looked him up and down slightly, and made a mental note about how he looked. He looked a bit ruffled, and her heart went out to him. She turned her eyes back to the window, trying not to think about the handsome stranger that walked into the coffee shop. She wondered where the cashier was.]]
[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 There was a part of her that wanted to stay seated, but she knew she wouldn't be able too. She sighed lightly as she stood and made her way over to the stranger. [#DDB9B9 "I'm not sure where there cashier's at, but if you'd like I can tell you what's really good here, and what to avoid"] she said with a warm smile. Now that she was closer to the male, she tilted her head to the side. Where has she seen him before? She recognized him a little bit, and wanted to know from where.]]
[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 She turned her gaze away from the males face and looked towards the menu. [#DDB9B9 "So the ham and cheese sandwich is amazing, but the chicken, turkey, avocado sandwich is to [i die] for. I know it doesn't sound like a good combination, but trust me. The moment the flavors hit your tongue, it's amazing"] she said with a small smile. She then started scanning the drinks as well. She wrapped one of her arms around her stomach, as she rested her elbow on her forearm pointing to one of the drinks on the menu.]]
[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 [#DDB9B9 "Their coffee's are wonderful. Sometimes I'll have them add a little bit of vanilla ice cream as well, with a couple pumps of either mint, or strawberry. Their smoothies are tasty, their iced coffees are really amazing as well. They have so many choices, and everything is good, but those are just some of my go to's that I tell everyone new"] she said lightly as she turned her gaze back towards the male. That's when the cashier came up to them, wiping his hands on his apron. [b "I'm so sorry"] he said lightly.]]
[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 [b "Welcome to Amore's Coffee Shop, what can I get you both?"] he asked. Rowena turned her gaze to the cashier and smiled towards him. [#DDB9B9 "No worries Caleb. Just telling the new guy here what's good, and what's not so good"] she said lightly. Caleb blushed lightly turning his gaze away from Rowena quickly. [b "Sorry Ro, I should have known it was you. And thank you for letting him know"] he said with a small, shy smile. Rowena smiled warmly towards the other male, and shrugged lightly. She loved making other's feel slightly better.]]
[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 [#DDB9B9 "It's alright. Can I get my normal Chicken, turkey, avocado sandwich, and a mint, vanilla iced coffee please? And just add whatever he's having to my tab as well"] she said as she pulled out her wallet and opened it, handing Caleb her card. The cashier took the card, put in her order, and then looked at the other. [b "What can I get for you?"] he asked. Rowena stepped back slightly, giving the other male some room to look at the menu, and order whatever he wanted.]]
[font "Times New Roman" Stephen read over the scrawled words almost impatiently, his nose scrunching slightly as he did his best to decipher the handwriting. Hunger was making it hard to concentrate and he had a long night of studying tonight so coffee was ideal. He couldn’t quite decide what would have satisfied his tastes at the moment, his head turning when he heard nearby footsteps and a voice.
He barely had time to take in Rowena’s features before the red hue of blush began flushing his cheeks and nose. He cleared his throat awkwardly and composed himself before smiling as she spoke. He listened to her words intently, taking in the way her lips curved around each syllable. Maybe he was too lost in his own thoughts.
[#5db2e1 “I uh.. I really appreciate it.”] He managed, looking up when the cashier finally arrived. Stephen was wringing his hands around his dirtied notebook, watching the male behind the counter with almost a bit of envy. So was Ro her name, or a nickname?
His eyes settled back on the menu to distract himself, a look of disbelief crossing his face when she offered to pay for his items.
[#5db2e1 “I can’t let you pay for me too.”] He offered with a weak laugh, scratching the back of his head with a free hand. [#5db2e1 “You already gave me a ton of good advice.”]
He felt like he had seen her before, the thought gnawing at the back of his brain. He’d worry about that later. Right now his focus was on his stomach.
[#5db2e1 “I’ll get the same sandwich as her… and just a small black coffee.”] He mumbled sheepishly. His tastes were always bland. Late nights adjusting equipment and coffee from watered down machines helped with that. His gaze settled back on Ro, almost curiously.]
[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 Rowena waved her hand slightly. [#DDB9B9 "Don't worry about it. Consider it a pay it forward type thing. Whenever you can help someone else. That's all I ask for"] she said as Caleb took her card, and swiped it. [b "I wouldn't argue with her if I were you. She's so stubborn, it's not even funny"] he said as he handed the card back. Rowena looked at the male and flipped him off, as she slid her card back into her wallet. [#DDB9B9 "You flatter me Caleb. We'll be at the table in the back"] she said lightly.]]
[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 [b "I'll bring your orders out in a little while"] he said as he made sure there were no other's behind the pair, and then hurried to the back to get their sandwiches made. Rowena turned to the male beside her, and nodded towards the table she spoke of. [#DDB9B9 "Don't worry about it, I do it a lot, and Caleb does know me really well"] she said with a small laugh. She then turned and headed back to the table she had been sitting at. She was curious about the male, and wanted to get to know him.]]
[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 When they were both seated, was when she realized he didn't know her name, just what Caleb called her. [#DDB9B9 "My name's Rowena by the way, or Ro, or pretty much whatever you want to call me. I've never seen you around this café before, but I feel like I know you as well. Do you attend classes on campus?"] she asked lightly. She knew she might be laying it on a little too much, but she was curious as to where she's seen him before. She felt like she should know him, but she didn't.]]
[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 She wasn't about to be rude either. She could hear Caleb in the back talking to the cook, and knew that the two of them would be in a world of hurt in the next little while. [#DDB9B9 "So the sandwich, is wonderful. If you don't think it is, I'll make it up to you"] she offered. She didn't like the awkward silence that was about to follow, but what more could she say? She didn't know the male, and he didn't know her, but she was attempting at least. She bit the inside of her cheek lightly.]]
[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 The silence that washed over them, made the woman realize at how handsome the male was. She wondered why she hadn't seen him before, and if she had, why hadn't she spoken to him until now? There was so many thoughts running around in her head, that she couldn't really think straight. Caleb just then came up to their table. [b "Two chicken sandwiches, and a black coffee for you, and the mint, vanilla for you Ro. Can I get you both anything else?"] he asked. Rowena shook her head lightly.]]
[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 [#DDB9B9 "No thank you Caleb."] she said softly. The male nodded. [b "If you need anything, please let me know."] he said and turned away. [b "Oh! Here's some napkins and straws if you need them as well"] he said as he turned back around, and placed the small stack onto the table. He then turned and hurried to the counter, as other students started to file into the café. Ro took a straw, and opened it. She then placed it into the lid of the cup, and took a sip. The coffee was amazing, and she waited for the male to take that first bite. She wanted to focus on his reaction to the flavors.]]
[font "Times New Roman" Stephen seemed almost awestruck at her kindness, clearing his throat a bit awkwardly and making a mental note to try to thank her later on. He took in what Caleb said about not arguing, not really planning on it in the first place. Stephen had a sneaking suspicion she’d win anyways.
He followed her to the table, sliding into the seat across from Ro hesitantly. Rowena? It was a pretty name, and one he had seldom heard before. It fit her, as little as he knew her yet. When he realized he had allowed a lingering silence to enter their conversation he offered a laugh.
[#5db2e1 “Oh! Right.. I uh, I’m Stephen.”] He held his hand out, taking a moment to curse himself for being so dimwitted sometimes. [#5db2e1 “I attend classes, yeah. I’m mostly in the uh, theater in my free time.”] Way to sound like a complete loser. He scolded himself, internally cringing at his lack of social skills shining in the moment.
His eyes took a moment to take in the features of her face, and the way her hair framed her jaw. He blinked after she spoke again, rubbing his palms against the fabric of his pants to try to distract himself. Why was he being so awkward? He was normally awkward around everyone but this was ridiculous.
[#5db2e1 “I trust your judgment.”] He smiled, doing his best to keep the conversation alive. He sat up a bit when Caleb returned with their items, picking up the coffee mug with a relieved expression. He brought it to his lips, gulping down the rich liquid greedily. If God was out there, he definitely blessed this cup of coffee. He looked up at Ro staring at him, his cheeks flushing a tad bit.
His stare went down to his food to break the tension seemingly beginning to string together, clearing his throat and picking up the sandwich. A combination he’d never think to try, but hey, it was free. He bit down into the bread and smiled, taking a long moment to chew. It was good, and his stomach definitely agreed.]
[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 Rowena tilted her head to the side and looked him up and down. Stephen, why did that name ring a bell? She pushed that thought away for a moment. She watched as he took a bite, and the look on his face was enough for her. A small smile passed over her lips. [#DDB9B9 "Told you it was amazing"] she said with a small laugh. She then picked up her own sandwich, and took a bite. She chewed slowly, her mind going back to what he had said. She was curious if she had seen him at one of the practices.]]
[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 She let the silence linger between them for a moment, before she set the other half of her sandwich down. She took the cup, and wrapped her lips around the straw and took a sip of her coffee. She placed the cup back down, before she had enough courage to speak. [#DDB9B9 "So, you said you do theater in your spare time. Do you help with the equipment? Or are you in the plays itself? Because you and I might be in the same theater group"] she said softly. She was curious on if they were.]]
[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 [#DDB9B9 "If you are, then you must know we are putting on Beauty and the Beast this go round"] she said softly. She loved acting more than anything, and she was curious on if he was too. He did have the face for it. She then tore her eyes from the handsome male's face for the time being. Why hadn't she seen him before? She always knew everyone in theater. Even if they did work with the equipment only. She reached for the sandwich and finished it off, and then pushed her plate away.]]
[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 [#DDB9B9 "I know it's strange, but if you aren't busy later on tonight, would you like to meet up again? Maybe somewhere on campus? Because I do have play practice this afternoon, and classes in the next hour"] she said softly. She didn't know why she felt so connected to this male, but she did. She did have art class in the next little while, and she was thinking about skipping, but knew her parents would kill her if she did. She pulled her wallet back out, and fished out a $5 dollar bill and placed it on the table.]]
[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 She made a mental note to get another coffee on the way out. It was as if Caleb could read her mind. He came back out with two more coffee cups. [b "Here's one of you Ro, and another one for you as well. These are on the house, so no worries about paying"] he said with a small smile. [#DDB9B9 "Thank you Caleb, I was about to come and get another one for classes"] she said with a grin. The male blushed slightly and ducked his head. [b "Don't worry about it"] he muttered lightly.]]
[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 [b "Have a good day Ro. I hope you'll come back again as well. It's nice to have a new face here"] he said to Stephen, before he hurried back to the cash register to help with the rush that was starting to come in. Rowena then turned her attention back to Stephen. [#DDB9B9 "So, about tonight?"] she asked lightly. She wasn't trying to be pushy, but she was curious on if he would want to spend the night together. She was curious about the male, and wanted to get to know him a bit better.]]
