Rowena has always been into acting. Ever since she had been a little girl. She would spend hours on end dancing around her bedroom, or doing little plays with her parents. She was an only child, so she didn't have any other siblings. She had one aunt and uncle, whom she had looked up too since day one. When she had hit middle school, was when she started auditioning for the school plays, and always landing the main roles. Not many people realized that she was such a good actress, and that she would one day make a name for herself. When she had finally gotten into High School, she was taking the acting classes, and was planning on attending New York Film Academy. She was already planning on putting in her application her senior year.
She's now in her early twenties, and has been in New York since she had left high school. She was doing well in her classes, and she was starting to eye the Broadway stage. She wanted everything that came with the acting. She was thinking about travelling to Hollywood one day as well, just so she could get into some huge films. She was trying to make a name for herself. That's when Your Name Here popped up into her life. He wasn't one to really chase after his dreams. He was a stage hand at the college, and he'd been watching Rowena for the last couple of years. He was too scared to talk to talk to her, and she never really paid him much attention either. That was until the day that Your Name Here had to step into the main male lead, for one of the plays the college was putting on.
Your Name Here didn't want to do it, and he was pretty much being pressured to do it. When he found out that Rowena was the main lead like always, he finally took a shot. What'll happen when Your Name Here gets a taste of acting? Will he want to pursue the same dreams as Rowena has? Will Rowena finally see Your Name Here in a different light? Or will she just think of him as the stage hand, and treat him the same? What'll happen when they start spending more and more time together, and they start to gain feelings for one another? Will Your Name Here land his dream girl? Or will it all fall apart? You'll never know unless you join, Broadway Dreams.

She wondered if her mother would even answer.]]

This happened like clockwork it seemed, these guys could never just give him a break. He took off, full sprint down the hallway to try to snatch his notes back. Those were important, angles for rigging equipment, the types of lights the stage used. He needed all of it, and the last thing he wanted was one of these nutjobs destroying his work.
His fingers outstretched, reaching for the worn leather that bound the cover, before weight came from his left, forcing him into a nearby door. He hit the door with a heavy thud, the air getting knocked out of him momentarily. The boy who had shoved him was laughing, practically doubled over. Chocolate brown curls fell down over Stephen’s eyes, hiding the angry flames that burned in them.
Wasn’t college supposed to be easier? Why the hell did guys like this seemingly follow him everywhere he went? Was it the way he dressed, the way he walked? What made him a target for these assholes to make fun of? The book was dropped to the carpeted floor, a heavy foot stepping onto the cover and leaving a muddy impression. The group walked off, high fiving and laughing at their conquest before disappearing around the corner. He scrambled across the floor to grab his things, pushing himself to his feet before hurrying off to the nearest bathroom to clean off his book.
Stephen might not have had much finesse while navigating the social world of young adulthood, but he was adept at stage handling. He always had terrible stage fright, so acting wasn’t really his cup of tea, but watching and helping make it happen made him happy. He had been doing it for years, even got a partial scholarship because of it. He had already been selected to help out with the upcoming play, so all of this should’ve been a piece of cake.
He begrudgingly tried wiping off the filth with his shirt, grumbling beneath his breath as he moved through the hallways, glancing up to ensure he wasn’t going to bump into anyone. His stomach growled in protest as he stopped, glancing down and frowning a bit. He hadn’t eaten since yesterday morning, too anxious about getting everything set up in the theater to think of himself. He dug through his pocket for his phone, a small crack in the screen catching the light.
He scrolled for a few moments through Google maps before finding a nearby place that seemed like a good start on finding some food. He checked his pockets, ensuring he had his wallet and dorm key before heading out. The short walk to the coffee shop was nice, and helped clear his head from the events that took place earlier. The sounds of cars whizzing by on the highway about a mile south of campus added to the quiet atmosphere around him.

Hunger was making it hard to concentrate and he had a long night of studying tonight so coffee was ideal. He barely had time to take in Rowena’s features before the red hue of blush began flushing his cheeks and nose. He cleared his throat awkwardly and composed himself before smiling as she spoke. He listened to her words intently, taking in the way her lips curved around each syllable. Maybe he was too lost in his own thoughts.

[font "Times New Roman" Stephen seemed almost awestruck at her kindness, clearing his throat a bit awkwardly and making a mental note to try to thank her later on. He took in what Caleb said about not arguing, not really planning on it in the first place. Stephen had a sneaking suspicion she’d win anyways.
He followed her to the table, sliding into the seat across from Ro hesitantly. Rowena? It was a pretty name, and one he had seldom heard before. It fit her, as little as he knew her yet. When he realized he had allowed a lingering silence to enter their conversation he offered a laugh.

I’m mostly in the uh, theater in my free time.”] Way to sound like a complete loser. He scolded himself, internally cringing at his lack of social skills shining in the moment.
His eyes took a moment to take in the features of her face, and the way her hair framed her jaw. He blinked after she spoke again, rubbing his palms against the fabric of his pants to try to distract himself. Why was he being so awkward? He was normally awkward around everyone but this was ridiculous.

He sat up a bit when Caleb returned with their items, picking up the coffee mug with a relieved expression. He brought it to his lips, gulping down the rich liquid greedily. If God was out there, he definitely blessed this cup of coffee. He looked up at Ro staring at him, his cheeks flushing a tad bit.
His stare went down to his food to break the tension seemingly beginning to string together, clearing his throat and picking up the sandwich. A combination he’d never think to try, but hey, it was free. He bit down into the bread and smiled, taking a long moment to chew. It was good, and his stomach definitely agreed.]
