The world as we know it has ended with zombies, vampires, and mutants now roaming the streets which caused the survivors to band together. These survivors come from all walks of life with some of them even having contributed to the creation of the mutants and are now having to find a way to deal with them, zombies, and vampires. However, these vampires and zombies are not like the vampires and zombies that you see on TV as vampires can only turn other humans into their own kind by getting them to ingest the blood of a vampire and zombies are not slow and mindless. Rather, they are rather quick and can outwit those who are unprepared to deal with them. Zombies also don’t decay but rather, they have discolored patches of skin and eyes that may be a different color than the rest of them.
Vampires also do not have any traditional vampire weaknesses which makes them harder to deal with. I’m addition to this, some of the survivors have managed to capture several zombies, vampires, and mutants and are keeping them in the bunker that they hide out in with the hopes of studying them to find some way to possibly coexist with them. Will they succeed or will they be forced into hiding?

It has been about a month since the world fell into ruin which left several survivors scattered in a dilapidated city. The city itself was once a thriving metropolis but due to the apocalypse, several of the city’s buildings have fallen into ruin. Ivy covered billboards that once glowed brightly in the dark and several pieces of rubble could be seen on the roads. However, the survivors had also managed to build a bunker in the nearby mountain range that extended into the city. This bunker also extended underground a bit and acted as a sort of HQ for the survivors.
As for what the apocalypse meant for survivors such as Marth, Chrom, and Bartz, it meant that they had to band together in order to deal with the oncoming vampires, mutants, and zombies however, Marth’s group had found themselves in a tight spot and were currently in need of assistance.
“Crap! This is bad!” Marth said. He and his allies had gotten surrounded by several vampires and zombies which meant that they now had to find a way to escape without getting bitten although this was easier said than done.
((Sorry about writing so much! If it helps, just reply to the bottom segment where Marth’s group is in need of assistance due to being surrounded and I couldn’t resist fleshing a little more about the city that the roleplay mainly takes place in. Sorry about that 😅))
Bartz looked over at Miles and Ethan before creating a small fireball in the palm of his hand. “Looks like some backup has arrived!” He said cheerfully before he noticed a vampire that was creeping up on Marth. “Chrom! We have an issue!” He said. This was quickly acknowledged by Chrom who ran towards the vampire and tried to keep it away from Marth.
“G-get away from me! I don’t want you anywhere near me!” Marth said as he tried to fend off the vampire that was approaching him on his own. Of course, by doing this, he didn’t notice the vampire right behind him and soon, the creature of the night had bit him on the neck and would not let go of him.
“Remember, we’re supposed to take them in alive so that our research team can study them! Be careful to not kill them since our resident scientists want to study them.” Bartz said before he noticed that a vampire had bitten Marth.
“The crazed scientists want this batch of vampires and zombies brought in alive for whatever reason. I don’t know the specific details but it might be for one of their experiments. They’ve been trying to find a way to pacify the beings that now roam this world and even I don’t know the full story.” Bartz said.
Chrom quickly managed to get the vampire to let go of Marth but not without having to witness it drink some of the blood of his friends. “By the gods, why did I get sent out on this mission…” He muttered softly.
“Well, we live in a bunker that’s in the mountains. We’ve already gathered quite a few of these creatures at the request of those scientists however, if we get turned, we’re meant to stay in cells until a way to make peace with these creatures is found. It’s a little risky but it’s for the good of the people that we do this and keeping them alive tends to work out more in their favor since they get to study living specimens so let’s wrap this up quickly and bring this batch of seven over to them.” Bartz said softly before he ended up restraining one of the zombies with magic.
"Well my father takes the organs and blood from the creatures and researches into finding a way to stop them from turning humans into them so he can stop worrying about people who are partially turned coming to his office and having him kill them before they turn. Surprisingly it happens a lot more than you would imagine"
“We don’t kill the ones that we capture. We’re searching for a way to coexist with them and my boyfriend is also at our mountainous bunker. If you want, we can take you there along with the vampires and zombies that we capture here.” Bartz said before he immobilized the rest of the vampires and zombies. After he immobilized them, he and the other two started to prepare to transport the captured beings over to the mountainous bunker that they all resided in for the time being.
"Look, you capture them, I hunt them, if I were to go to your little bunker thing, things wouldn't end well for those creatures because I need to help my dad with his research" he said before he killed a few other creatures and harvesting some of their body parts.
“Then this is where we part ways. My friends and I need to transfer these beings over to our bunker so see you later then.” Bartz said before he and the other two began to escort the zombies and vampires that they captured to the bunker that they lived in. The three were being rather careful so as to not alert any more zombies and vampires to their presence since they didn’t want to deal with any more of them at the moment.
It took the group a while to reach the mountainous bunker but once they did so, they were greeted by Vaan who was eager to hear news about what they had brought back with them.
"Well goodbye then" Miles packaged the organs and blood into jars and bags, loaded them into his backpack then him and Ethan went in towards the center of the city, where his father was staying in the underground chambers he had built. Miles hopped down into the chambers followed closely by Ethan.
“You’re back! How did it go?” Vaan asked Bartz and the others. He was rather curious as to how the small group’s expedition went although he was ultimately told by Rain to settle down for the time being.
“Vaan, calm down… We don’t need to spook them and besides, our friends are going to be here soon!” Rain said cheerfully as he looked over at Vaan and the others. He was rather excited to see what he would be able to find when his small team goes out to explore however, he was currently not allowed to do so at the time being.
((Their mountainous bunker is just a bunker full of misfits and a few scientists.))
“It went rather well although I’ll need to check in with the others. However, I also need to get a bit of sleep since I wasn’t able to get any before the mission started. I’m rather tired…” Bartz muttered softly before he ended up falling asleep on the floor.
“And he’s out cold… I’d better get him to his room.” Vaan said before he picked up Bartz and carried him to his room. He was being rather careful to make sure that he didn’t trip on anything and was also being silent as well to avoid any attention being drawn towards him. He then gently placed Back on the bed before leaving the room.
Miles sighed and went back out to get more body parts, not knowing that the real reason his father was researching the remains is so he can make an army of strong creatures to take over the surrounding large area.
“Alright! He’s been moved. Now, we just need to take care of our small population of vampires and zombies here by giving them the flesh and blood of animals that we hunted.” Vaan said softly before Ace came in with several slabs of animal flesh and some animal blood.
“I got what you requested, Vaan! Now, I have to feed the beings that we keep here with them!” Ace said cheerfully before he walked away and gave each vampire and zombie the corresponding animal part so that they could have something to eat. After he was finished with that, he walked back over to the others and ended up smiling at them.
Several of the vampires were soon frozen in blocks of ice as a rather annoyed Firion stepped out from behind a building. “Why do you have to be so loud all the time… I was trying to scout out any zombies that I could take down…” He muttered softly. It was clear that he was rather annoyed which was evident in the way that he spoke for now and wanted for there to be several moments of silence for the time being so that he could relax.
“Thank you, Ace… I also see that one of the vampires snuck out to gather some more zombies up. Hopefully he returns safely.” Vaan said softly.
Firion was almost immediately gone just as quickly as he had appeared. He had already gathered several vampires up and teleported them back to the bunker before teleporting back there himself. Once he arrived, he was greeted by Vaan and Ace who were rather eager for his arrival.
“Welcome back, Fi! I thought that you were going out to catch some mutants and zombies!” Ace said when he noticed that Firion had come back with only vampires.
“Well Ace, plans changed. I had to move my target to other vampires since they were out there cornering someone. They’re capable of thinking for themselves but these individuals were consumed by their thirst for blood which I hope we can find a way to lessen shortly.” Firion said as he looked at Vaan and Ace.
Miles got what he needed and left to go to his father's tunnels. He hopped back down and dropped off the things before heading to his own personal section of the tunnel. He set his stuff down and looked around the area before grabbing an old baseball and tossing it around.
“I understand that plans change but I don’t know why your plan ended up changing. While that kooky scientist does appreciate all of the specimens that you have brought in, we are no closer to finding some of our friends that have disappeared. None of the vampires and zombies that we have interviewed have seen them either which makes their disappearances rather concerning.” Ace said before he used fire magic to defrost the vampires that Firion had captured and shortly brought them into separate rooms once they had been defrosted.
“Sorry about him. He’s just been a little anxious as usual. Just give him some time and he’ll be fine.” Vaan said as he looked at Firion.
Miles decided to go out to find some food. He got all of his gear and went out to get something to eat. He had his sword with him in case he needed to use it as he looked around the area. He sighed as he couldn't find anything salvageable.
“They haven’t come back at all so I’m rather worried about them. It’s not like them to be out this late which makes me think that an enemy team must’ve captured them if they vampires and zombies didn’t see or capture them.” Vaan said softly. He looked over at the others who were also concerned about the news.
“Well, do we send a search party to find them or something? If it’s who I’m thinking it is then we may be in trouble after all.” Marth said. He spoke with a certain level of concern in his voice that would be hard to match if someone was faking being concerned about a matter.
“We’ll send out a search party to find them later. Besides, they’re tougher than you might think so let’s have a little faith in them even if they have been gone for a long while. They’ll return eventually and if they don’t, we’ll go after them.” Firion said as he looked at the others in the room. They did not share the same sentiment as him since they were rather worried about Tidus and the others. There were not a whole lot of ways to change this emotion that they felt so they decided to avoid the topic altogether for the next five minutes.
((I had about two roleplay ideas. The first involves an oceanic sanctuary meant for merfolk rescued from being washed up on various beaches and fishing nets which is more comedy and fantasy related and the second involves -[b ANOTHER]- variant characters which are more powerful versions of certain characters although some of them have been captured for unknown purposes. It’s going to focus more on fantasy and action. Also, you are forgiven for the short post.))
“This is rather unfavorable… If we send out a search party that is too small, we’ll risk them being wiped out and if we send one that’s too large, we’d risk being spotted. Regardless of what we choose, sending out a team is going to be rather risky.” Vaan said softly as he looked over at Firion and Ace. He noticed how the two remained silent for the time being and as a result, decided to not talk about the current subject anymore.
((That’s completely fine and I also kind of want to do something involving merfolk.))
“I agree that it’s risky but what other choice do we have? Our friends went missing and if we don’t find them, who knows what will happen to them.” Marth said as he looked over at Vaan.
“I agree with what you are saying which is why I will send one out shortly. However, it might be a while before we are able to do so and did you get bitten by something?” Vaan said as he noticed the bite mark on Marth’s neck.
Tidus could be seen wandering around the city although he didn’t seem to be faring too well before he ended up collapsing.
((Alright! It’s going to be a new thread and do you want to do it with me?))
Tidus could be seen in the middle of the streets although he wasn’t in the best condition. From the looks of it, he was injured and had exhausted himself after trying to get away from a feral vampire that attacked him without warning. Due to this, he had to flee although he was assisted by a vampire who was in their right mind at the time which meant that he had an easier time escaping. However, the downside to this was that he had been completely lost beforehand and now, had no way to receive help or go anywhere.
((Okay. I also already have the thread made as well.))
Tidus wasn’t moving around a whole lot and upon closer inspection, there was a bite mark on his neck although he never really turned into a vampire due to how a victim needed to ingest the blood of a vampire to be turned. He didn’t drink any drop blood from a vampire hence the reason why he was still currently human. There was also even a symbol on his clothing which signified that he belonged to the group that captured vampires and zombies in the hopes of finding some way to cooperate with them to end the apocalypse.
Miles took out his first aid kit and patched him up the best he could with what he had. He was worried even though he had never really met the person before, he just didn't want to see someone die because he didn't do anything.
Tidus started to regain consciousness and slowly sat up. He was still rather weak from his injuries and due to this, he couldn’t move around too much or else he would risk harming himself even more than he already has. He didn’t want to do this hence the reason why he chose to remain completely motionless for the time being. “That was not fun…” He muttered softly when he realized that he still remembered what happened to him back in the previous location.
“Yeah… I’ve been awake for a while and everything just hurts… I don’t know what exactly happened but I am in pain and it just sucks… I don’t want to be in any more pain and I don’t want to come across the feral vampire that attacked me again…” Tidus muttered softly. He was clearly scared of the feral vampire that ended up attacking him and wanted nothing more than to be as far away from it as possible.
“That would be nice… I also require some sleep so I’ll get that as well once we’re safe…” Tidus said softly before he ended up yawning. He was still rather tired and as a result, was slowly drifting off to sleep. He didn’t know how much longer he would be awake for but he decided to not worry about it too much. After all, he was safe from any feral vampires for the time being and with that newfound safety came a feeling of relief that had given him a sort of calm feeling which would allow for him to fall asleep.
