This is an AU for Doctor Who that Frost and I wrote. So please no stealing
"The future... where to begin, well, someday I'll show you, just wait a little while longer. One day this will all make sense. Take care child." And with that, the man was gone to the girl.
After the man and his box were gone, young 'insert name here' was only left with a journal. One that was filled with all these stories and events. A journal that had all sorts of pictures of historical events and men with the same sort of box as she had seen as a child. And the more she looked at it, the more curious she got. The more she wanted to know why she had been left with the journal and the words she had been told of one day everything making sense.
One night, 'insert name here' was at a party and went outside for some air, the man she had seen as a little girl coming out of the shadows, he was in terrible shape, and yet he still had a smile upon his lips. "You've grown up just as I knew you would... And as such, it is time I fulfill my promise." He said, causing the girl to back up, staring at him as if he were crazy.
"Tell me, how long has it been since you've seen me? and why you are back? And don't give me any kind of nonsense answers. It isn't good enough and I've waited years to find out." The girl said, refusing to get closer to the man. She knew that he felt familiar and for some unknown reason she would trust him with her life, but because she didn't know him or anything about him those facts scared her.
The man looked hurt at her words and actions. "Do you honestly think that I wouldn't hold up my end of the bargain...?" He asked, but then gave a thoughtful yet sad look. "How about this....join me for one adventure and if you find you want to come back and it be like you never knew me we can do that...but if you decide you want to continue to travel with me, you have my word that I will help you remember everything." He said as he slowly held a hand out to her, giving her the choice if she wanted to trust him or not.
[b[i "The future... where to begin, well, someday I'll show you, just wait a little while longer. One day this will all make sense. Take care child."]] Hazel eyes stared down at the page that she had scribbled those words onto in front of the old journal she had been given as a child and she sighed. Since she was five, Tilly had been reading the journal over and over again. She had been trying to make sense of the strange man who had appeared to her all those years ago and his strange words. But with the more time that passed, the more a dream it all seemed. The more it seemed like some kind of fantasy only a child could make up. And with those thoughts crossing her mind, Tilly slipped the old blue journal into the pocket of the black jacket she had matched to the red halter top and black skirt she was going to wear to Reggie's twenty-first birthday party. She and the girls had been planning the evening for months and it was FINALLY happening. Was she excited? Mostly. Or she would have been had she not decided to take the old blue book out before she had to go.
With a final look in the mirror and fixing of her make-up and hair, the brunette ran downstairs with keys, wallet, phone AND the journal in her pockets to meet her friends outside and to make their way to the pub for drinks and dancing.
Was it hours later when she had finally had enough and needed space? Tilly couldn't be sure but she made her way outside for some fresh air AND to try and regain herself as she was a bit tipsy (sober enough to functuon but tipsy enough for her imagination to run wild, which she was sure that it somehow was going to). And that was when she saw HIM coming towards her. He looked like he was in bad shape and yet she could not make herself go near him. No, all she could do was back away as she listened to his spoken words and saw that pained smile upon his lips.
[b "Tell me, how long has it been since you've seen me? And why are you back now? You better not give me any kind of nonsense answers. They won't be good enough and I've waited years to find out AND to find out why me."] Came soft words as hazel eyes fell upon the man who spoke once more and seemed to hold a hand out to her.
It was the soft words the man spoke and his outreached hand that had the young woman of twenty-one FINALLY move forward and take the hand. [b "Promise?"] Was the only word that she could force through the lump that had formed in her throat.
What the hell was she doing? Going with this man was complete and utter madness. And yet...yet she felt she could trust him with her very life. Well that AND she was FINALLY getting the answers to questions she had had for many years.
[b [#0011FF "The future... where to begin, well, someday I'll show you, just wait a little while longer. One day this will all make sense. Take care child."]] Bronze eyes stared down at the page that he had scribbled those words onto in front of the old journal that he had given the child that he had chosen when she was five, Theta Sigma had been reading the journal as a pastime for the billionth time. he had been trying to make sense of why the tardis, who was a jealous lady, had sent him to her all those years ago and the strange words that the beautiful blue angel had told him to say. But the more time that passed, the more anxious he was getting. The lonelier that he felt. And with those thoughts crossing his mind, Theta Sigma slipped the old blue journal into the section of the black bookshelf with red velvet lining that he had assigned it to hundreds of years before. he and the blue girl had been journeying for so long that time just sorta started slipping by. With a final look at the dash and fixing of the coordinates that he had set, the brown-haired man ran downstairs with keys, an intergalactic phone [b AND] a smile on his face he opened the tardis doors inward and walked outside to make his way to a large castle for a meeting with queen victoria and the king. Was it hours later when he had finally had enough and needed to leave? Theta Sigma couldn't be sure but he made his way outside for some fresh air AND to try and regain himself as he was still recovering from his last adventure (where he met with Davros and spoke... once again). But suddenly felt the Tardis in destress, as if she was about to be found. It was then that he decided to go back inside the dance hall and inform a maid that he was leaving. He RAN for the Tardis. Once he had reached the pannel he noticed that the time zone and coordinates had changed and the final activation lever had been pulled.
He traveled over one hundred years into the future. And that was when he saw [b HER] standing on the balcony of the pub. She looked like an angel standing there as he walked towards her, even if she was just standing there. No, all he could do was smile in pain.
[b "Tell me, how long has it been since you've seen me? And why are you back now? You better not give me any kind of nonsense answers. They won't be good enough and I've waited years to find out why me."] Came soft words as her hazel eyes fell upon the man who spoke once more and seemed to hold a hand out to her. [b [#0011FF “Come with me, I will show you everything I promised you all those years ago.”]] a deep vibrant voice spoke from his lips. [b "Promise?"] he heard her spit out as if it was the only thing that she could say. It was almost time. Her going with him gave him peace of mind. So now he could do what he needed to do without a care. [b [#0011FF “I’m sorry, we just met again, yet i’m already going to… to…”]] The man stopped as his skin glowed a [#FF8900 rustic yellow-orange] and he launched into lava-like flames of the same color…
He rose from the ground with a new look [b [#FF8900 “Hello there, mind if I ask you something? Who are you? AND who am I?”]] the man asked in a gentle tone of voice, it seemed like his appearance had changed almost one-hundred percent, it went from him being a fashionable 6’3” to an insane 7’5”, and his facial features changed from him being clean-shaven to having fuzz.
God she wished that she would have been able to say more to the man. Not just spit out the word "Promise" as she has taken his hand and agreed to go with him. But really...what could one do when the "ghost of your past" just showed up again and promises you the adventure of a lifetime? What confused her all the more though was his apology of them just meeting again and then saying how he had to go. Or that was what Tilly assumed he was saying because he never finished his words.
The glow that errupted from him had her let go of his hand and move as far back as she could. It was incredible and NOTHING like she had ever seen before. And she wondered if the man was okay as he fell to the ground and was enveloped in the lava-like glow.
Was it seconds or minutes later? the young woman couldn't tell but the glow was gone. And in the place the first man had been, another was rising. He was MUCH taller, almost insanely so and he now was slightly scruffy. For a moment, Tilly stood frozen as she was confused as to what he was asking.
[b "I'm Tilly...and you were..are The Doctor. Or at least that is what this says.."] Her words were soft, almost uncertain as she took out the journal and moved closer to the man.
What on Earth had just happened? But before she could ask, she could hear the soft...was it purring coming from the shadows where he had come from before. [b "I take if that would be...your long time companion?"] She had read the journal enough to understand bits and pieces just not exactly the huge change that occurres. But she did know that she couldn't just keep him out in the open like this.
[b "How about I get us a taxi back to my appartment? We can get you something to eat if you like...and maybe try and figure out what to do?"]
