Ukraine happily hummed as he wandered along while pulling his boyfriend along behind him, the red and white country letting out the occasional complaint before they both walked up to the palatial home of the flower caretaker. Canada eventually took a soft breath before looking down at Ukraine, who smiled reassuringly at him before knocking on the door of the home. It wasn't often Holly left his house, mostly tending to his large garden of flowers. So he waited, holding Canada's hand while holding it behind his back so that the surprise wouldn't be shown to him immediately. He wanted to tell Holland himself, and Canada sighed quietly before swallowing and shaking his head. "This is gonna go great..."
Holland, as expected, was at home indeed. If the sight of him dancing around with a potted plant and the sound of [https://open.spotify.com/track/2fh3bZ8jZhMxOcfESE9nQY?si=f5181243ebd148ff a song] playing as he sang along to it wasn't enough of an obvious hint, then him hollering "One moment," certainly was. Yes, while it might seem odd to others, if you take such great care of the potted plants you have scattered about your own house then you might as well sing to and dance with them. Not like he had a dancing partner regardless, though he wasn't complaining in the slightest. The flower caretaker carefully set the pot he held down at its spot by the windowsill, shuffling over to the door soon after he dusted himself free from any soil that could have fallen onto himself. Without further ado, he carefully pulled it open with a bright smile falling upon his face. "Pardon for taking a moment- ah, Ukie! Hello zoon! I see you've brought someone?" Holly gently questioned, giving Canada a quick look-over though keeping the same bright smile on his face. He waved for the two to enter soon after, stepping away from the doorway as he did so. "Come, come inside before the skies decide to start pouring."
"Thank you, father!" The Ukrainian hummed out happily as he walked inside the house, Canada glancing around curiously before sitting down with his boyfriend nervously. Ukraine looked up at Holly after a moment as he smiled at him, tapping his fingers together softly while Canada glanced around once again. "Huh...nice place you have here, mister Holland." He complimented happily, Ukraine smiling up at his boyfriend softly without entirely noticing the dumbass smile on his face from his boyfriend's words alone. He leaned back after folding his wings quietly, shifting slightly before looking up at Holly with a soft smile. "Thank you for having us, papa!" He chirped out after a moment, happily drawing a couple of thermoses out of his bag.
Holland smiled softly at Canada's compliment, quietly walking over to his favourite seat by the wood-fed fireplace, sighing out contently after sitting down. "Of course, I'm always happy to have you here and whomever you might bring with you." He offered out in response after a brief moment of pause to eye the other two. He had his suspicions; were they friends? Were they more, perhaps? Though the Dutchman kept those questions to himself, deciding to ask something else for the time being. "So, what brings you two here?" Holly inquired, soon adding on, "Looking for shelter before the late rain? Oh, maybe looking for flowers or seeds?"
"Well, no...we wanted to talk to you!" Ukraine happily chirped as he clapped his hands gently, humming out as he glanced up at Canada. The red and white country looked nervous, but eventually nodded in agreement as he swallowed. "Yep." He hummed simply to go along with Ukraine's train of thought, the blue-yellow one sighing slightly before picking up Canada's hand and lightly smiling at him. It didn't take much for the two of them to make each other smile, it seemed, since they were both smiling at each other after a mere moment as if they were the only people in the world. It was pretty obvious what they wanted to 'talk' about, but Ukraine still wanted to try and talk about it with his father at least a little bit. "I'm dating Canada, I have been for a little while." He hummed out lightly, motioning to the still-nervous Canadian as he gently held onto Ukraine's two-toned hands.
"Ah... Is that so?" Holland hummed out, though it was no note of disapproval. Almost as if on cue, a soft rain came falling from the semi-light grey clouds just outside, though he hardly noticed for it had long since been white noise to him. "You should have told me [i before] you came over. I could have decorated the place from top to bottom with pride flags and rainbow flowers and everything!!" He jokingly complained, soon doing a roll of his eyes as he sighed out in the same joking, sarcastically playful manner. Holly was quick to brush that off, however, letting a smile grace his face once again. "Good for the two of you though! I'm happy for the two of you, truly. I'm glad you felt comfortable and safe enough to tell me that."
Both the lovers rolled their eyes quietly before Ukraine smiled softly, cuddling in close to his boyfriend. "I'm glad you'd actually accept us, Soviet would have never..." He trailed off after a moment, then shook his head to get himself out of the weird reverie. Canada had put his arm around him gently to help soothe him, a soft smile on his face as they placed their foreheads together gently. It was clear enough that they enjoyed each other's presences, occasionally exchanging words in Ukrainian or French and lightly breaking down in giggle fits despite knowing Holly was right there. Ukraine managed to pull himself together after a moment, however, and glanced over to his father. "How are things going?" He tried quietly, stroking the hand of the fidgety country beside him to help him calm down a bit as the two of them glanced between Holly and each other.
Holland, deciding letting the two lovers have a touch of space, put on a pair of reading glasses and grabbed the few letters that had been prior since resting on the coffee table. He looked up from the papers he held when he was prompted, blinking a few times. "Hm? Oh, things are going just fine. The flower fields have been loving all the rain; you both should go out and look at them yourself when it stops pouring. Feel free to pick a few as well, I have plenty to spare." The flower caretaker offered with a soft laugh, glancing down to the letters he held before setting them back down, hopping out of his chair soon after. "Where are my manners though? Would you two like anything to drink or eat? Sleep even? I've got spare rooms if that's what you two need."
"I know 'Nada's pretty tired." The blue-yellow country volunteered gently, and Canada sighed before looking to his boyfriend. "Are you sure?" He mumbled out, the Ukrainian gently nudging him. "My papa won't bite, коханий, you know that." He soothed gently, reaching up and stroking Canada's cheeks before kissing him. The two of them seemed quite happy together, and Canada sighed quietly before swallowing softly as he stood and smiled at Holly. "If you have a spare room, I'd appreciate it..." His voice trailed off as he played with his hands, sighing slightly as Ukie stood up and walked into the kitchen to get a cup of water since he knew where a few things were.
