Yup. They can fire you for any or no reason at all. Plus it'll give you time to learn everything and get feedback. Some shit like that.
That’s also a chance for an employer to decide if they want to keep you as an employee. I’ve been through that before and worked for a company that did that. You had to work 90 days before earning a pay raise and access to benefits

Oh and it's a union job. I guess it has it's perks. Idk like what. But eventually, I will. 🙃
A union can provide you with an assortment of benefits, as well as advocate work conditions and pay on your behalf. The only downside is with most unions you have to pay dues. It has its pros and cons like all things. Try to work with your scheduler to adjust your days if possible to make your appointments. Never hurts to ask.
