Germany was walking along, talking in an excited blur about this and that, humming happily as he put his arms around his boyfriend's arm, making the blue-white-red-patterned country smile lightly as Germany noticed the couple they were planning on meeting. He quickly let go of Russia, jogging over to Britain and France as he called a soft "Schöne Grüße!" to the couple. His eyes glowed happily as Britain bowed his head quietly in greeting, putting his arms behind his back as Germany smiled and bounced a little. He was excited about this meeting for some reason neither the German nor his boyfriend really understood, but he eventually took a breath and calmed down in order to hold a hand out to France. "Ah, um...good day, mister France! It's nice to see you again!" He chirped out excitedly, Britain meeting and locking eyes with Russia as he narrowed his own. "Tsk..."
France broke out into a grin despite the fact he had already been prior since smiling, chirping out a happy "Salute!" in return to the greeting he and his partner received. He didn't need to see the hand extended to him for much longer than a millisecond in order for him to quickly shake it, taking the opportunity to come close and air kiss three kisses to both of Germany's cheeks; a traditional French greeting for those close to whomever gave it; truth be told, he was tempted giving Russia the same greeting as well, but the two were genuinely not that close, so the Frenchman settled with giving the Russian a smile. He stepped back respectfully after doing so, still as bright and cheery as ever. "S'il vous plait mon ami, you can just call me France; there's no need for honorifics! It's nice to see you too. I hope you both have been doing well and have been in good health."
He nodded and smiled happily, clapping quietly. "Oh, yes yes, me and Russland have been doing very well! We recently got a little furry friend for Anastasia, er ist so süß!" He chirped happily, Britain raising an eyebrow at the German before chuckling softly. "That is good, Germany, and thank you for organizing this little meetup, mate." He spoke lightly, happy to stand next to his husband as he kissed France's cheek. "You brought a gift for them, didn't you, beloved?" He spoke lightly in reminder, watching them as Germany tilted his head like a curious puppy. The tri-banded countries stood together, Germany lightly holding onto his boyfriend's arm as Russia raised an eyebrow down at the other countries.
"Oui, oui! J'ai fait!" France happily exclaimed quickly after the light reminder, turning slightly on his heels to give a kiss to Britian's cheek before motioning for them to stay put. "I'll be right back!~" He added on with an even brighter grin, if that was even possible, before skipping off to grab the gifts he had set elsewhere as to not spoil the surprise. It didn't take much longer for the Frenchman to return, a couple of various things in hand, being careful with the armful he held as he walked, not skipping this time, back to the three. "D'accord, d'accord; Russie, [i une] of these is for you alone, and the other is for the [i both] of you to share." He started out, handing the Russian two bottles of aged red wine as they were the most fragile, and truthfully expensive, thing he held at that moment. France then handed Germany a box of gouache alongside a small, basic assortment of paintbrushes. "I noticed you seemed to enjoy art a lot more lately, be it exporting art supplies or importing supplies, so I thought you might enjoy toying around with those. I would have brought you some historic books to read through, but I'm afraid you're already fine print!~" The Frenchman lightheartedly tried with a soft laugh.
The German seemed quite happy with his gifts, and Russia eventually sighed as he shrugged slightly. “… Спасибо…” He mumbled out, causing Germany to smile up at the taller country. “I’ve been working on manners with him, he’s doing well!” He chirped excitedly, Russia rolling his eyes softly as he sighed. “Do not make me out like your dog, Germany.” He spoke softly, giving him a light smile before backing up and allowing Germany to go back to speaking with France. “We both appreciate our gifts very much, France, so thank you from both of us!” He hummed out happily, always happy to be the voice of the two of them since he was always the mediator. Always. Whether it was between two people in a fight or merely negotiating treaties, Germany had learned what made most people tick. Only a select few escaped his analytical gaze, but only those he allowed to. He bowed a bit before straightening up as Britain rolled his eyes at the glare the Russian was affixing him with.
"You both are very welcome! Je suis happy to hear you enjoy them; I had fun shopping around for them." France stated in a similarly happy manner, pausing a moment to think before letting his grin simplify into a smile. "Speaking of which," He started after a few seconds of thoughtful silence, snapping his fingers and then making a pointing finger-gun with that hand alone, "We should go shopping together sometime! I'd love to help you expand your wardrobe; or explore the culinary world with you alone, over dinner perhaps? It sounds like a lovely time to me, don't you agree mon ami?~" He inquired softly with a small wink, sprinkling in the lightest bit of a flirty tone into his voice as he smiled a tiny bit more.
Germany’s eyes widened a bit as he watched France, smiling softly as he watched him happily. “Ah! Ja, ja, that would be wonderful!” He chirped happily, clapping his hands softly. Russia growled softly as his lip curled quietly, Germany looking back at his boyfriend before sighing and putting his hand on the taller country’s. “Russland, please.” He spoke gently, causing the other to sigh and shake his head. “Hmph…” He huffed out, going back to his little glaring contest with Britain. The two of them had caught on to what France was doing, even if Germany had not.
"Magnifique! We can discuss the [i date] later to see when our schedules line up, but I'm already looking forward to it!" France commented joyously whilst he rocked on the balls of his feet, needing to refrain himself from falling into giggly laughter due to how adorable he found Germany's obliviousness. The Frenchman would keep his hinting light for the time being, deciding against becoming more obvious to, almost selfishly, continue on with the "game" he was certain the other two beside them were well aware of by that point. France lightly hummed, glancing to Russia for a moment, looking past the fact he was glaring at his husband and vice versa; one really couldn't expect otherwise from the two. "Maybe Russie and I could go out for drinks a different day as well? I know of a bar in Paris you might enjoy!~" Hey, while he had the opportunity in front of him, he might as well flirt with the [i both] of them after all.
Germany hummed lightly as he smiled up at his boyfriend, who narrowed his eyes at the Frenchman. "Ты оскорбляешь меня..." He growled out softly, crossing his arms as he glared at France slightly. It took a nudge from Germany to get the Russian's glare off of France, his eyes glowing softly as he sighed heavily. Britain seemed pretty annoyed too, putting his arm around his husband and huffing lightly as he nuzzled him lightly, as if to remind him of who exactly he was married to. Germany let go of his lover quietly, coming over to France and happily offering him a small box. "I didn't know what you'd like, so I went with something small!" He chirped softly, seeming happy.
France couldn't help but smile a tinge more, unbothered by the Russians previous glare on him or the turn down of his offer. If Russia didn't want free booze with a truckload of lighthearted friendly flirting as the price of sorts, that was his choice. The Frenchman nuzzled his husband, giving his cheek a quick peck before returning his attention to Germany and allowing himself to smile a touch more. "You brought me a gift as well, mes ami?? Awwww, you're adorable~" He cooed out, promptly taking the box that was offered to him, opening and investigating the contents curiously soon after.
Inside was a little charm on a golden chain, the German smiling lightly at the Frenchman. "I thought you might like it! I made sure my best jewelers did well for it!" He chirped, handing over something similar to Britain, which seemed to catch him off guard slightly. "Oh- for me?" He asked in soft confusion, the German nodding and smiling at him as he chuckled happily. "Mhm! I made them a matching set!" He chirped out, bouncing softly as he stepped back in order to wrap his arms around the Russian's. His voice came happily as he hummed, closing his eyes since he needed to rest them for a moment. He was a bit overwhelmed by his own excitement, knowing he would probably be burnt out and tired later. He found himself not minding, though, just deciding to use his boyfriend to keep calm.
"Ils sont beaux, Allemagne..." France murmured out delicately, eyeing the charm in a similarly soft way, simply admiring it for a few moments. He carefully removed the chain and charm from the box after he was done carefully examining it, a joyous glimmer in his eyes as he clipped it on around his neck just below his bandana and wedding ring; it was easier to wear it as a necklace, in his defence, since he worked with his hands often. Just barely able to contain himself to stand in place, having to fight off the urge to tackle-hug Germany, he rapidly gestured for the German to come over for a hug, smothering his cheeks in thankful kisses once he had. "Merci beaucoup!~"
The German couldn't help but let out happy giggles at being spoiled with kisses as he was, holding onto him with a sweet smile. "Dankeschön! I thought you might like it!" He chirped out happily, still somehow completely oblivious to France's clear and obvious attempts at flirting with him. Britain, unfortunately, was not that oblivious, and pulled his husband away gently. "That's enough." He whispered to him, kissing his cheek before straightening up as he gave the other couple a smile. Russia was in the middle of hoisting Germany up on his shoulder, though, the shorter of the two seeming a bit confused as to what the necessity of that was. "Liebe..." He mumbled, running his hand through the fluffy curls that he could reach just under the hat, the Russian huffing as he glared France down. "Hmph."
France hung his head in a jokingly defeated manner, puffing up his cheeks with a pout as if he were genuinely upset he had been pulled away from Germany, though it was all just for show as he sighed out. "D'accord, I understand." He whispered back in return after getting over his pouty show and figuring he had flirted with the German plenty enough for now, raising his head back up. Of course, adorning his expression was a calm smile, only further evidence that his previous pouts were for show and nothing more, and he softly nuzzled at Britain before returning Russia's glare by sticking out his tongue for a moment. "I'll be sure to bring better gifts next time, Allemange; truthfully these charms are beautiful, so once again, thank you very much."
Germany managed to hop off of his boyfriend's shoulder, Russia being lead over to a table by Britain as Germany hopped quietly. "I heard things were happening in France! Do you need help or support?" He exclaimed out softly, reaching up and putting his hands onto France's cheeks as tears almost seemed to rest in his eyes. He seemed worried about the Frenchman suddenly, as if he had just remembered that there were conflicts going on near or in France. He watched him quietly as he sniffled a bit, putting his arms around him and whimpering lightly. "Please don't be hurt..." He whispered out softly, holding onto him and kind of hoping he'd be picked up. Maybe he was just used to it from Russia and Britain, and he sighed before swallowing to try and keep his bad thoughts down.
"Quel?..." France paused, blinking slowly a couple of times as he processed what he had been asked, his brain having fried itself for a second due to the other's sudden worry. "Oh, non non non, je suis just fine, rest assured. I have things under control, I can promise you that; I've been through many coupes." The Frenchman answered after his brain could process things once more, hoisting Germany up into the air so they could be, more or less, eye to eye. Just because others called him a pushover of a country for being "too feminine" or "too avoidant of conflicts" didn't mean he couldn't carry his own weight, both literally and metaphorically. "I'm okay, but merci beaucoup for worrying you sweet thing."
He nuzzled into him with a quiet whine, holding onto him softly. "I don't want you to get hurt, Frankreich..." He spoke honestly, whimpering to himself as he held onto him tightly. "You're one of the best countries in the world, I don't want you getting hurt." His voice was quiet, making sure the Russian and the Brit didn't hear him. Even if he wanted to show France he cared, he also didn't want the Russian getting angry at him, and the Brit to get angry if he thought Germany was flirting with France. Even though it was the other way around and Germany had no idea.
"Oh, mon ami..." France murmured out softly, his usual smile falling flat into a gentle, semi-serious frown as he sighed. "I will not get hurt from something as carelessly silly like the tiny mishaps that have been happening recently. I can hold my own just fine, but I'll be sure to tell you if I ever need help, d'accord?" The Frenchman offered out after a moment of careful thought, hoping that was enough assurance to ease Germany's worry. "I think you're one of the best countries as well, but je suis [i just fine], I promise. Besides, someone as adorable as you shouldn't worry so much; it makes your skin wrinkle." He lightheartedly added on in a hushed whisper, pressing a kiss to the German's forehead before offering up a smile.
