Muse A is the very definition of first class. They come from a wealthy background and a long line of successful business tycoons who have always known how to get ahead. Muse A is no exception. After graduating from a prestigious university, they took a seat on the board of their family’s company and quickly proved that their hire wasn’t just a case of nepotism. Though they had some critics when first getting started, Muse A took the company into a brand-new direction and managed to stay at the top for years. With a high profile career like that, Muse A has had a high profile social life. Their circle of friends is exclusive and highly sought after, and it’s quite hard to get a foot in the door with them.
Muse A met Muse B on a cross country flight when they were bumped up to first class and seated next to them. Though they hit it off almost instantly, when Muse B mentions that they’re unemployed and currently not even looking for a job, Muse A knows it’s going to be a problem. They really get along though, so once they land, they make plans to go on an actual date. The chemistry is there, definitely, but Muse A refuses to bring Muse B around any of their friends. In fact, their friends are under the impression that Muse A is still very much single. Muse B has never made a big deal about it, but when, after a year and a half of dating, they propose to Muse A, one of the stipulations is that they need to be introduced to people in their life if they’re going to be together forever.
Though reluctant, Muse A hosts a dinner party for their friends to meet Muse B. They hope that at this point, their friends can overlook the fact that Muse B doesn’t seem to have anything going for them other than their looks and accept them into their exclusive group.
Twist- One of Muse A’s friends recognize Muse B as the heir of an incredibly well known socialite that runs in a different circle than theirs. Muse B is worth more than Muse A is, and when Muse B finds out that Muse A was ashamed of them, drama ensues.

"Ah, Mr. Lucato, we have good news for you," the flight attendent said after Leo had presented her with his e ticket on his phone for the flight, making him look to her curiously, "You've been upgraded into first class." Leo arched his brow, watching the middle aged woman behind the counter. "Is that so? How lucky. May I ask why?" he inquired casually, but he had a sneaking suspicion. "Unfortunately, your seat is broken and there are no other ones available aside from in first class," she explained with a smile that Leo almost believed her, though internally he sighed. It was hardly her fault. "I see. Well, that's very kind of you. Thank you," he simply replied and accepted the new ticket, "I just need to make a call. I'll be there in a minute." The last people were still boarding so he had the time. Having flown a lot, he knew this inside and out. Stepping away, he pulled out his phone and dialed his mother's number. "Leo, shouldn't you be on a plane?" his mother answered the phone cheerfully. "You realize the number of times that I get a broken seat I should be scared to fly," Leo pointed out, half joking, half serious. "Don't be like that. It's a cross country flight. Do you really want to be cramped into that small economy seat for hours?" Vivienne Cadwell reminded him as though it were a fact of life, "I know you're frugal, but there are times you shouldn't save money. Especially when you don't need to." This time Leo couldn't repress the sigh that came out. Of course his mother meant well, she always did. That didn't mean she had the right to meddle in his life. How did she even know his flight details? He hadn't told her for this reason. Sometimes Leo was sure Vivienne had a private eye on him to always know what he was up to. It wouldn't surprise him. However, he also knew she was right about cross country flights and seeing as the last people were finished with boarding he didn't have time to argue this out once more. It never helped anyway. "I have to go. I'll text when I land," Leo finally said and after his mother had said her goodbyes hung up and quickly made his way down the gangway to the plane. As he did, he thought on things. Ever since his father had died when he was a child, his mother had always had an eye on him. Leo had never really liked it nor what his mother's family name meant. Wealth beyond imagination. How it made people act around him the second they heard the name. It was why he took on his father's last name, both to escape his mother's and to remember his father. Of course, he would never be able to escape it as the only child, but it sure as hell meant he could ignore it for as long as he wanted, aside from a few mandatory tasks. Other than that he tried to hide it, but that only lasted for so long, at the latest when hsi mother got involved and then suddenly he was Leonardo Cadwell again and everyone was practically bowing. One such occasion was coming up in New York, which was why he was flying to meet his mother there. She had moved there again after his father passed, loving the city much more than the south where they had lived out of love to his father. Leo had boarded the plane and was checking his ticket for his seat. That was when he spotted it and with that his more than pleasing neighbor. Okay, he definitely wasn't mad at his mom, if that was who he had to spend several hours next to. Placing his duffel bag into the overhead compartment, he smiled to the woman as he sat down. "Good morning," he said before pointing to her coffee mug, "I hope they serve that soon. Didn't have much time to get one this morning." Which was true since he had been busy on his computer all morning and forgotten so that he ended up just quickly packing some things that he needed for the trip. "Though I suppose it can only be better than I would have gotten. My seat was defect so I was upgraded from economy. Suppose that makes me pretty lucky," Leo went on, leaving the comment very much ambiguous to see how she would react, "Sorry, I haven't even introduced myself. I'm Leo." He gave her a genuinely bashful, but charming smile. She was definitely beautiful and for once Leo didn't mind his mother's meddling, if it meant a nice conversation with her.
[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 When Nior looked up to see who her seatmate was, she wasn't expecting to see the handsome male before her. He wasn't that much older than she was, and he was really nice on the eyes as well. Her heart skipped a beat when she heard his voice as well. She looked towards the mug and then back to him. [#C71585 "In all honesty, I'm surprised I even have it. If it hadn't been for my roommate this morning, I wouldn't"] she said with a small smile. She listened the the reason as to why he was sitting with her.]]
[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 [#C71585 "I am so sorry! At least they were able to find it before you sat down. The man's name was Leo, and she was pretty much drooling over the man. She hurried and turned her eyes to the mug in her hand. She was all of a sudden nervous, and that smile she had seen. She felt like she wanted to melt right then and there in her seat.]]
[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 No man has ever made her feel like that right when meeting. She slowly lifted her eyes back to his. [google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 Whatever the reason was, she wasn't about to to talk his ear off the whole time. [google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 It also depended on where he was going as well. She could be going to the same place as he was, and if that was the case, maybe she could talk him into going to dinner with her. What the hell was she thinking? She was getting too ahead of herself. As far as she knew, he was happily married, or he was on his way to meet her at the end of this flight. She lifted the mug to her lips just then and took a sip of the still hot coffee. At least it was something to do.]]
[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 Her heart was still racing, and she couldn't get the sound of his voice of of her head either. She hoped he would speak again, because the silence was getting a bit awkward, and she didn't like that. She also didn't want to be the one just rambling on about pointless things either.]]
Leo was social. He loved talking to his neighbors on flights, especially in economy class as they often had far more interesting stories to tell. Generally, they were more than happy to talk and he was hoping that his beautiful neighbor today would be no expection. There was something fascinating to delving into these random strangers, even for just a bit. Luckily, she didn't seem to be the exception. There were definitely worse ways to spend a flight than talking to a gorgeous stranger. "You clearly have a better roommate than me. Mine was still asleep when I left. If I had to rely on him, I would have missed the flight," Leo mused before chuckling, "Nothing to be sorry for. Can't say I am disliking the change." Suddenly, his mom's meddling for once wasn't all bad. The more chance he had to look at her, the more he was enchanted. That blond hair, those sparkling eyes. She was a stunning woman. And her name certainly matched. "Nior, never heard that name before, but I think it fits you perfectly," he replied with a smile, "It's a pleasure to meet you too. And by all means, I'll gladly listen to your ramblings all day." No guy would be crazy enough to turn down a gorgeous woman like her and somehow he imagined that even her ramblings would be fascinating. After all, you didn't sit in first class for no reason. Her next questions made him raise a brow. That was certainly a change in topic and he had the sneaking suspicion that she was very much as interested in him as he was in her. "I'm sure my wife would be very upset to find out I was talking to such a beautiful woman," Leo agreed, not being able to resist teasing her just lightly before giving a cheeky grin, "Luckily for both of us, I don't have one. Nor a girlfriend before you ask." He ran a hand through his hair before focusing again. "I'm visiting my mother who lives in New York. You know, as the only child you have to show up occasionally," he mused before looking to her, "And what about you? What brings you on this early flight across the country? Reuniting with your boyfriend for a passionate long weekend?" While he did say it slightly teasing, the thought of her having a boyfriend left a bitter taste in his mouth. He would be genuinely jealous of the man that got to call Nior his girlfriend. A hand touching his shoulder forced him to break the moment with Nior. It was a flight attendent. Apparently they were getting ready to take off and he hadn't put on his seat belt yet. Quickly apologizing, he did as instructed before turning back to Nior. It was strange to think he had only been talking to her for a few minutes, yet he was already so drawn to her. "So tell me, what do you like to do when you aren't talking to random strangers on the plane?" Leo asked. Normally, he was respectful and let the conversation flow where it flowed, but with Nior he was curious, wanted to know more. And yes, he was certainly hoping that perhaps he could get her number. Was it bad that he thought that? Especially when he didn't know if she was single. Then again, would she have asked about a wife, if she wasn't slightly interested. That and his family didn't keep and expand their wealth by playing it safe. Even if he didn't like the name, he was a Cadwell and he certainly went for what he liked. Within reason that was. He would never try for a woman that was clearly in a relationship.
[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 Nior's mind was spinning. The male beside her was very much single, and really attractive as well. She shook her head lightly when he asked her the same question. [#C71585 "No I'm not dating anyone either. I kind of can't because of my line of business. I'm heading to New York for a business meeting this weekend for my father's banking business. When he's not around, or available he sends me to do his dirty work"] she said with a small laugh. She looked up when the flight attendant came up to them, and let Leo know that he wasn't belted in.]]
[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 When they were left alone once more she turned her attention back to the male. So seeing as they were both single, and he was really attractive and catching her attention, she felt like she could let her walls down. At least a little bit. Her best friend would die if she found out that she was talking to some stranger on her flight, and not being drawn into a world of True Crime, or her favorite authors. That's when his next question hit her ears. What did she normally do? Would it be weird if she told him?]]
[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 Then again he had asked her, and she didn't feel like telling a small lie to get out of it. [#C71585 "Honestly I'll have my headphones in and listening to True Crime podcasts, or horror podcasts as well. I know it's not everyone's liking, but I kind of like being a bit different"] she admitted. It was kind of nice to tell someone about her passion, even if they were different. Her eyes then turned to the front of the plane when the pilot stepped out and lifted the phone to speak.]]
[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 [b "Good morning, and welcome to Flight 197 to New York City. We are in the process of getting ready to take off. So they were getting ready for take off. This was the one thing Nior hated more than anything. She turned back to Leo and smiled sheepishly towards him.]]
[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 [#C71585 "To be honest, I always hate the take off. So I'm sorry if I don't say anything until we are up in the air"] she muttered lightly. She wasn't trying to be rude, but she was at least being honest. She turned her eyes to the front once more, when she felt the plane jerk forward. She placed her hands into her lap, and laced her fingers together, digging the tips of her nails into the backs of her hands. Now was the time she wished she had the Morbid Girl's playing in her ears. She wasn't about to be rude to her seat mate though either.]]
[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 Shortly when they were in the air, and the seatbelt light was off, she seemed to relax a little bit. [#C71585 "I'm sorry.."] she breathed out. She slowly turned her eyes towards the male and a small smile tugged at the corner of her lips lightly. She had already told this man her weird passion, and now he had seen her mini freak out, and silence with taking off. She just hoped he was still interested like he had been before. If not, this was going to be a long, awkward flight.]]
Leo was certainly glad his slight teasing had gone over well. After all, not every woman found it funny to be teased, especially by a stranger. Nior was certainly a different kind of woman and the type that was intriguing him more and more with every word she spoke. He nodded, suppressing the desire to sigh with relief at knowing that she was indeed single. She was certainly becoming more and more endearing by the minute. With how Nior spoke he could sympathize well enough. Maybe if he applied himself to the work of the Cadwell's he too would have a similar relationship status. Though through his family he knew many big name banks and tried to mentally go through them to find out which one Nior belonged to. "That does sound challenging. So you often jet around," he replied, "Though I can't imagine that no guy has tried to make it work yet for someone like you." Sure, Nior not always being there was a challenge, but hardly a huge problem. Leo certainly would make it work for someone like her. Honestly, he was surprised by her answer. "That is not what I would have expected," he admitted, but before he could continue the pilot made his announcement. He settled back in his seat, getting ready to take off, before turning back to Nior. His brow rose at her admission. She flew this much and was scared of taking off? That was odd. For a moment he considered if she was playing the part, but it quickly became clear with her actions that she was genuinely uncomfortable. Leo watched her, wanting to wrap his arm around her or to take her hand. Both though seemed a bit too forward considering that they had only met like half an hour ago and everyone reacted differently to scary situations. Some didn't want to be touched. Though he didn't just want to sit there watching her be uncomfortable so he began to speak. "I will admit that I haven't listened much to true crime podcasts. I did watch only murders in the building, if that counts. That was a good show," Leo began with a teasing smile, "Maybe it also has to do with the fact that when I can I travel. Often backpacking and the like. I once spent some time at a Buddhist monestary where they actually don't speak for six days of a week. That becomes very difficult when you have bad food poisoning and you are trying to explain what's going on. You only realize how much you miss talking when you can't talk. Suffice to say that I don't always have the chance since I didn't always have internet to follow any podcasts." Leo chuckled. "Well, for that I need money first so I don't travel that much, but yeah," he mused with a shrug, "So often I sit in my apartment or outside and imagine where I might go next, enjoy my time with my roommate." It was a stretch. If he wanted, he could have chartered a plane and flown wherever he wanted. Heck, he could have traveled the world for the rest of his life and still had millions in the bank, but he didn't want to rely on his family. That and that kind of traveling would never get you close to local people. Just then the seat belt light went off and Leo could see Nior beside him relax. "It's quite alright," he assured her with a soft smile, "I hope you didn't mind my talking. I just... wanted to help in some way. Maybe lucky though that it didn't take forever to ascend or I might have had to talk about weirder stories from the times I did travel." He chuckled. "So a strong business woman with a liking of true crime. Tell me more. I would love to hear about it," Leo inquired, happy to continue to talk to her, "Or you can ask me anything." They had a long flight and Leo had the feeling they would be talking a lot. At least he hoped so as he was genuinely intrigued.
[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 The female was kicking herself for admitting her fear to a total stranger. Then again it would have been rude if she hadn't. As the male spoke about his own travels, her mind wandered back to his comment about someone not taking their time with her. She thought about it a lot, and it did sort of hurt. Her last relationship hadn't been the best, and she had vowed to not let herself fall for another human being. No matter how lonely she was. When they were in the air, and the light clicked off, she relaxed a little.]]
[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 She then turned her eyes to the male beside her, and she cocked her head to the side. [#C71585 "You are a strange creature that's for sure. Most people would be turned off from me, and my passion for the true crime world"] she said with a small laugh. It was nervous laughter, as she was still slightly shaken from the start of their flight. She shook her head lightly as a real smile passed over her lips. [google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 [#C71585 "In all honesty, it did help. Hearing about how you travel as well. She chewed the inside of her cheek as she finally fell silent, waiting for the male to speak once more. She was already enjoying the sound of his voice, and that wasn't like her at all. At least she had someone interesting to talk too on this flight.]]
Leo watched Nior slowly relax as they got to their cruising altitude. It would be a lie to say that he wasn't slightly nervous at her reaction to his random babbling. After all, he surely didn't come off as cool when you are talking about food poisoning and what not. Talking about traveling to big cities would likely have been far more interesting. He couldn't help a chuckle at what she said. "Right back at you, I suppose," Leo mused as he ran a hand through his hair, "I mean, you weren't turned off by me rambling on and on." He gave her a smile. Her smile was stunning and only lit up her face more. Still, he couldn't help the slight sigh of relief at hearing that his rambling actually helped. "I'm glad I could help," he replied before tilting his head to listen to Nior more. It was interesting to hear her talk about relationships and also how it fit into her work or in some cases didn't. "I get it. I mean, of course I can understand wanting to be close to your partner, but I'm all about making the moments you do have count. Be it a nice dinner, just relaxing together on the couch and all that. Small texts when you can't see one another," Leo told her and couldn't help teasing her slightly, "And yes, listen with them to the newest episode of their favorite true crime podcast." A relationship was about compromise and being together. Nior continuing on about her passion made him smile. "Well, I guess that could be like how some people like horror movies, but can't stand gore," he mused as he continued to listen, not being able to help a chuckle at how she swooned about the killers, "I guess we should be glad that you weren't around them or you wouldn't be walking among us now." It was clear that true crime was her passion and the way she sparkled only made her even more gorgeous. Of course, after Nior had divulged about her passion it was only fair that he did the same. "Well, I already mentioned traveling. Though with that I don't mean staying only in the cities or at some pool. I love meeting the natives, truly seeing the country. Hence, the backpacking. I think it gives you such a unique perspective and at the same time just shows that ultimately, we are all just human and very few of them are monsters," Leo told her, not being able to resist teasing her slightly. "But... traveling is expensive, even backpacking. So when I'm grounded at home I enjoy cooking, often the things I learned from my travels. I especially love cooking for or with someone. It's just very fun and relaxing," Leo went on, "Though even something from just around the corner can be very interesting. So I don't need to always be jetting around the world. Just exploring the neighborhood with someone special is also amazing." "That is until my roommate starts demanding my part of the rent and I quickly go looking for a modeling job or something to make it meet," he admitted with a shrug. Okay, he also was pretty good with tech and sometimes just helped his roommate with something to get around paying rent. One and done jobs were best. It meant his mother couldn't meddle with anything and he didn't mind not knowing what happened next. It was in a way thrilling. Though Leo was curious how Nior would see it as he watched her closely and slightly nervous. She was very much driven and he clearly wasn't. Would this be the end of her liking him? Though wasn't that what he wanted? He wanted someone who liked him for him and not because of his name Cadwell.
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 Listening to the male speaking about his own passions brought a smile to her lips once more. Men who could cook were rare. She tilted her head slightly to the side and smirked a bit. [#C71585 "I didn't think men knew how to cook. A small nervous habit, that always pissed her father off. She lowered her hands to her lap as she fell silent. The silence wasn't awkward, if anything it was comfortable. Something she never thought would ever happen between herself and a total stranger.]]
Leo chuckled at Nior's remark. "I will admit that I got the passion from my father. He was a cook in Louisiana. It was how we bonded before he died," he explained and it was easy to think back how he was allowed to taste test creations with his dad or work next to him in the kitchen when he was younger, "I can respect a strong woman. My mom surely is, but it was clear how she lit up whenever my dad cooked for her. It was beautiful." Those were his favorite memories of his childhood. Leo supposed that it wasn't surprising that his mother couldn't stay in Louisiana after his father's death. There were too many memories and to this day she hadn't bound herself again. "I think we will indeed," he agreed and couldn't help the tiniest of husks in his voice. They were clearly connecting really well. Leo never would have expected that. God, did for once his mother's meddling have a good side? "Paris is beautiful. I can understand why it's the city of love. The Eiffel Tower and how it blinks at night. Lights reflecting on the Seine. Getting lost in the streets to end up in one of the many gardens. And don't get me started on the cuisine," he couldn't help swooning slightly himself, "Sorry. I was in Paris a few years ago. One of my first stops in Europe." How could it not be with its reputation? Nior's question made him pause. It was a fair question, but so hard to answer. After all, how could he explain that most women had only been interested in Leo Cadwell and not Leo Lucato. That they didn't bother to get to know him and instead only wanted his name and money. How his mother had gone so far already twice to instigate him meeting potential daughter in laws. It was no surprise he was cautious of any woman that came too close to him. Still, he knew it would be weird to not answer. "Well, traveling does exclude quite a few women. After all, you don't see each other a lot then," he pointed out, "And not having a real job certainly doesn't increase my prospects." Of course, that didn't explain it all. "And I suppose I never met a woman where we are the same enough, but different enough to not make it boring. I don't want someome that only agrees with me or where we have so much in common that it gets boring," Leo went on, knowing the first part was certainly true with anyone who knew who he really was, "I guess, I just never found that right mix." At least until now. He gave Nior a smile. Should he risk it? They were hitting it off so well and while he wasn't sure how much longer the flight was, it could be hours or minutes, time didn't seem to have meaning right now, he didn't want to let this moment slip through his hands. "So... during your long business weekend you think you'll have some time off to see the city?" Leo inquired slowly. He wanted to see her. Outside of this plane and go on a date. See if this was actually something real or if the altitude was just messing with them.

[#C71585 "I'm so sorry for your loss.."] she whispered lightly. She meant it too. It was hard to lose a parent, she still had both of her's, just not the way she wanted it to be. [google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 She nodded lightly agreeing about the whole traveling thing, and not wanting to be with someone that's boring. [google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 She felt like she was losing out on something special. It's been grand getting to know you, and I hope that I'll be able to see you.."] she breathed out. She meant it too. She wanted to see the male out of the plane, and away from the other's. It's been nice chatting with him, seeing his smile, hearing about his passions, sharing her own as well. There was something special about the male beside her, and she hoped that something more would come of it.]]
"Thank you. I guess I get a lot from him," Leo said with a soft smile, "I was barely ten so it's been a few years, but some memories feel like they were only yesterday." It had been hard watching his father die and his mother grieve, but she had done everything in her power to help him as well. After all, what was Cadwell money for. Her words made him chuckle. "I would hate it if you hate me," he mused but continued to smile, "Well, let me earn enough and then I'll whisk you off to Paris for a weekend." Somehow that sounded so incredibly romantic. His parents were his idols when it came to love and he wanted the love the two had clearly shared, despite the money his mom had had. They had matched so well and for the first time this seemed possible for him. After all, the way Nior nodded made it feel like they were so similar. "Exactly," was all Leo could say. It felt so easy to talk to her and they just clicked on important topics without being identical. They didn't need the other, but wanted them in their life. It felt perfect. Those thoughts seemed to crazy to have for a woman he had only just met and yet it felt right. Leo watched Nior write down her number and while it was only a name and number it only made it seem more real. God, he hoped she had time. "Will do," he said with a nod. It wasn't like his weekend was empty either. He had all sorts of Cadwell meetings and events lined up, but somehow he would make the time. It was jarring to hear that they were actually landing. It hadn't felt like hours. Suddenly Leo wasn't ready for the flight to end, but he could hardly tell the pilot to turn around. "The pleasure was all mine," Leo replied with a smile, "I hope so too." The plane landed and soon the seat belt sign went out. Everyone got up to grab their bags from the overhead compartment. Leo looked to Nior as he shouldered his backpack. "Maybe I could escort you to the baggage claim?" he suggested, wanting to extend their time for just a few more minutes. It was silly, but he couldn't help it.
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 The moment the plane's wheels touched the ground, the seatbelt sign was off, and everyone was standing up and gathering their things. Nior let Leo grab his bag first, before she grabbed her own. She slipped the notepad back into the purse and slid the strap over her shoulder. A small, sad smile passed over her lips. [#C71585 "I would like that"] she said softly. She was kind of saddened that their time together was coming to a close. A lot faster than she wanted it too. [google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 Soon it was her turn, and she stepped out into the aisle way and made her way off the plane. [#C71585 "If I didn't scare you off, I would love to hear from you tonight. I do have some things to do as soon as I leave here, but tonight I'll be n my hotel room trying to relax"] she said with a small laugh. [google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 She wrapped her arms around herself as she walked. She all of a sudden was at a loss for words, and soon they were at the baggage claim already. She watched as the many bags went by, soon her's was in sight and she snagged it before it went by. She placed it down on the ground by her feet and then looked up at Leo. She titled her head to the side, her eyes locking on his as well. [#C71585 "It was really nice getting to know you Leo"] she said softly.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 She meant it too. It was nice to talk to someone who took the time to listen to her. [google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 [#C71585 "Looks like I'm already being called away. Make sure to message me later. Goodbye Leo"] she said softly. [google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 She ducked into the waiting limo, and let Grady close the door behind her. She looked out the window watching Leo the whole time. She reached up and touched the blacked out window, wishing she wasn't here on business. She sighed when the car was put into gear, and she was whisked away from the airport, and Leo all together.]]
Leo was glad that he didn't seem to be the only one that had trouble saying goodbye. They had only spent a flight together, but it felt like so much more. He couldn't explain what it was, but it felt different from all the women he had met before. "You mean listening to true crime podcasts," he couldn't help teasing, "I should be free tonight." Well, his mother had some kind of charity event planned, but he would figure it out. It was odd walking side by side to the baggage claim, knowing their time together was ending. It didn't take long for him to grab his small bag, since he had only a few essentials as his mother had tailored suits for him at the ready at her place. He turned to Nior, looking down at her. "It was nice to meet you too," he replied, though was honestly surprised when she kissed his cheek. It made him feel jittery inside and gently he touched his cheek. Before he could think about returning the favor someone was calling her name. "Goodbye Nior," he said softly, though watching this man wrap his arm around her waist didn't sit well with him. Well, him taking her away didn't sit well with him. He hated it and wanted to join her. Soon Nior got into a car and Leo turned the flight mode off in his phone. Pulling the piece of paper from his pocket, he quickly entered her number as if to prove she was real. "I didn't want to wait until tonight to message you," he quickly wrote as he watched her car speed off. Just then his phone rang. His mother. "Where did you park your driver?" he immediately asked, knowing that he had said she didn't need to send him, but she would do so anyway. He wasn't in the mood to argue and so he gave in. "Exit two," she replied and Leo made his way there, spotting the black car instantly, "How was your flight?" It looked normal enough from the outside, but inside it was all leather and elegance. He slid inside. "It was good," Leo told her, thinking on if he should ask her, "Have you ever heard of a banking family called Middleton?" Even if you didn't know his mom, it was likely she knew you and Leo was too curious not to find out more about Nior and her family.
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 Nior was a little upset that she wouldn't be able to relax a little bit. [#C71585 "Why does daddy do this to me? He knows I'm on a long flight, and he still has me booked for meeting right away"] she muttered. She felt her phone buzz and she looked down at the message that had come through. It was from a number that wasn't saved in her phone, and she smiled a little at the message. It had to be Leo's phone number. Her heart skipped a beat at the thought of him already messaging her.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 [b "I'm not sure why he does that Nior. You do know you can tell him no"] the driver said. The female rolled her eyes and shrugged it off. She hurried and saved Leo's number into her contacts before responding to his message. [#C71585 [i I'm surprised you didn't make me wait. I'm not saying you should have, it's just a little surprising is all.]] She read the message a couple times before sending it. She then looked out the window as the buildings, and trees rushed passed the windows. She felt trapped all of a sudden and she didn't like it.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 Soon the car was coming to a stop in front of one of the banks and she let out a small sigh. [#C71585 "Let's get this over with"] she muttered as she climbed out. She headed into the building and nodded towards some of the clients in the building. [b "Miss Middleton, welcome"] said the manager. She rolled her eyes at the male and shook his hand. She had to play nice, at least for a little while. Soon she'd be able to go and relax. [b "I hope your flight was okay"] he said in a rush.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 [#C71585 "Call me Nior, and the flight was alright. [b "You look amazing Nior, no need to feel that way"] he said as he pushed a button and the doors closed. They were then whisked away to the top floor where her father was standing there waiting for her as well. She was kind of confused on that and she walked up to him.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 [b "Hello princess, I see you've met Charlie already"] he said hugging her tightly. [#C71585 "Hello daddy. [b "Well, Charles and I have been talking, and he wants to merge his business with ours, and I've been thinking about that. So what do you think?"] he asked her. Nior sat there with a stunned look on her face. She was at a loss for words as well. What did she think about this? She hated the idea all together.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 [#C71585 "No. I'm sorry. I thought I was here for a business trip, and seeing that's not the case I would like to be taken to my hotel now, and left alone"] she snapped as she stood to her feet. [b "Alright"] was all her father said. She could tell he was pissed off, but so was she. She didn't say anything more as she walked out of the room, took the elevator back down to the ground floor, and slid back into the limo and told the driver to take her to her hotel. She was seething, and the driver knew she was.]]
Leo could tell he had thrown his mother for a loop with the question. "Why are you interested in them?" Vivienne asked, clearly curious. "I just met someone on the plane who knows them," Leo lied and was eternally grateful that they were on the phone, because he wasn't sure he could lie to his mother otherwise. She had good people skills like that and could read him pretty well. "They are pretty far up there. The patriarch of the family is known for being a bit ruthless, but over all not a bad family," Vivienne told him, "Though Prescila from the country club, you know, with the pitchy voice, told me of a rumor that he wants to marry of his own child to secure some deal. Can you believe the guy? You'd better not be thinking of working with him." "Of course not," Leo replied, though just the thought of that rumor being true constricted his throat like a choke hold. Was it true? Did Nior know about this? Surely, she couldn't have. "Listen, I'll see you in a bit. Bye," he said and couldn't wait to get off the phone. What if it was true though? Would Nior go for it? She lived for her work. Only then did Leo see her message. It made him smile and he thought about what to answer, though the falling darkness as they pulled into the parking garage made him pause. Slipping his phone into his pocket, he grabbed his bag and took the elevator up to the penthouse. They were in the middle of New York's most expensive district and his mother had turned the top three floors of this building into her personal penthouse. With views for miles, tasteful decor and everything modern, it was certainly fit for a dynasty. That didn't even include the country house that they also owned. His mother greeted him at the door to the elevator, quickly hugging him. "There you are. It's so good to see you," Vivienne said happily, pushing a lock of her out of her face, "We still have a lot to discuss for the events. Why don't you put your stuff away and meet me in the kitchen for a snack. You must be hungry." After greeting his mother Leo gladly went into his room. Just as grand it at least had been updated a bit since his childhood. Though the view of Central Park was still amazing. Leo sat down on the bed that felt like cotton candy underneath him and looked at his phone. "I didn't want to wait," was all he could reply. He wanted to see her again. Partially to see if the rumors were true. "So have you found a tiny hole in your busy schedule for me?" Leo asked jokingly, hoping it came off as funny and not worried. He wanted to see her, to know what they had on the plane wasn't some fluke.
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 The moment she was back in the limo the tears started to slip from her eyes. How could her father do this to her? Was this really just to make their families united? If that was the case, then her father was really fucked up in the head. That's when she felt her phone buzz and she pulled it out of her pocket. She read the message a small smile passing over her lips as she started to form a reply. [#C71585 [i As a matter of fact, I don't have any business to attend to this weekend.]]]]

She leaned her head back against the headrest before she started to type out a second reply. She paused for a moment and debated on how to word this message. She didn't want to seem too pushy.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 [#C71585 [i Just let me get to my hotel, get cleaned up and changed and I'll be ready in about two hours. The driver looked at her in the rearview mirror. [b "Is everything okay Nior?"] he asked her. He could tell she was having an inner battle, and he wanted to help the best he could. The female shook her head lightly.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 [#C71585 "No James, I'm not doing okay.. Just please get me there safely"] she said softly. [b "Of course I will"] he said lightly. Then the silence washed over them both. She honestly couldn't believe her father would do something like this. Normally he would have talked to her about this, but being blindsided by it really put her on edge. She let her eyes drift closed. A little bit later she felt the car come to a stop, and James was holding the door open for her. She thanked him and climbed out. She checked in and headed straight for the room.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 Right when the door closed she was already slipping out of her clothes, heading straight for the bathroom. She left the door open and took a quick shower, then was right back out. She checked to see if Leo had replied and so far nothing. She sighed lightly hoping she hadn't scared the male away. If she had the chance to tell him what happened, she would. For now all she had to do was get ready, and hope for the best.]]
Leo had slipped the phone back into his pocket and made his way into the kitchen. There his mother had already had their meal prepared by the cook. Some couscous salad if he had to guess, but it certainly looked tasty with the different veggies and garnishes on top. What more could be expected for a world renowned chef that worked solely for his mother? He assumed that in a way it was a homage to his father. To all the amazing food he had cooked. "Perfect timing. So tomorrow we have a the charity gala as well as a luncheon," Vivienne began. Leo groaned inwardly. Why had he come? Focusing on his food, he only half listened. He finished his food while his mother was still narrating, though now something about some family that was trying to be important. He slipped his phone from his pocket and read Nior's texts. A full weekend. I need to see you. Those words alone got to him. "Mother," Leo finally spoke up, "Surely, you don't need me for any of that." "Leo, you can't always shirk your duties. You are a Cadwell, as much as you don't like it. You are a pillar of this society," Vivienne chided him. "Right now that's you," he pointed out and sighed, "Listen, Troy just texted. Some old friends are getting together tonight so I'll be out." At least that explained his absence. "You're impossible," she said but sighed, "At least see me before you leave." "I would never leave without saying goodbye," Leo promised and kissed her cheek before getting up. Going back into his room, he quickly typed a reply, "A full weekend sounds great." He added the name of a casual bar that had amazing brews, but also great food. He loved the place and Nior sounded down in a way. What was going on? Quickly Leo showered before changing into some jeans and a button up shirt. A leather jacket completed his look and he was off. He hoped that she liked the place. It was by no means fancy and more of a secret tip among New Yorkers. Outside of the door he waited, waiting on pins and needles. What could have happened? The merger? It left him feeling uncomfortable and he checked his phone for the time. Hopefully she showed up soon.
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 When the message came through with the name of a bar, she googled the address and realized it wasn't that far from her hotel. She could easily walk there. She pushed herself up from the bed and opened up her luggage. She had a couple of dresses and flats she had planned on wearing for the meetings, but since those were total lies, she almost didn't have anything to wear them for. Tonight was the perfect chance for her to wear the blood red dress. It was her favorite after all. She made sure she was dry, before slipping into the dress.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 The dress ended above the knees, hugged her body in all of the right ways, and it was off the shoulder as well. [google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 He phone was in hand as she made her way towards the street. It was like she was in high school all over again.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 She bit her lower lip as she made her way towards the male. When she was close enough she spoke. [#C71585 "It looks like you are waiting for someone"] she said in a teasing voice. God, he looked amazing. She bit the inside of her cheek lightly, wondering if she was over dressed now. It was too late now, she would have to deal with it. She stopped in front of him, and tilted her head back slightly to look up at him. He was taller than she was, and that's something she enjoyed. She smiled warmly towards the male waiting for his reply.]]
Leo waited outside of the bar. Was this a good idea? Nior didn't seem like the type who needed a big dinning experience, but what if she expected more? It wasn't like he couldn't afford to take her to the nicest places in the city, but this place was good. It would certainly be easier, if she knew, but Leo didn't want that. For once he had found someone that seemed to like the normal Leo. Well, if she wasn't getting married to some other guy, but why did she then say that she wasn't in a relationship? God, he was confused. His thoughts were cut short when he spotted that blonde hair. His heart skipped a beat and it damn near stopped when he saw what she was wearing. Now that was an outfit. Leo hoped it wasn't obvious that he was staring. "Not anymore," Leo mused, "You look amazing. Shall we go in?" Holding the door open for her, he allowed Nior to go in first. It was still early so it wasn't full yet and they easily found a booth to sit down at. "I hope you like it. You sounded like you could use a good drink and the food is great too," Leo explained, wondering why he was suddenly explaining his choice. It was a nice place with the wooden interior and the more low key charm. A waitress came to hand them some menus before leaving them to look through it. Despite having eaten not too long ago, he was definitely getting a burger here. They were too good to pass up. His gaze went to Nior, trying to figure out how to broach the subject of what he heard. "So... what happened? I thought you had meetings all weekend?" he asked curiously, "Not that I'm complaining. I mean, I got to see you a lot quicker than expected." That was a treat. Leo couldn't help his gaze scanning her fingers. She wasn't wearing a ring. That was good. Though usually the gossip his mother heard was rarely off. "Does it... have anything to do with what I heard? That your father wants to marry you off?" Leo asked and wished he still had a menu to hide behind. Though perhaps it would be easier to get the heartache out of the way. What was the point in wondering the entire time? However, if Nior thought about it she would realize it was weird that he would know about something like that. Though he had read about a possible merger on a business site. Would that be enough to explain why he was asking? Too late now as he looked to Nior, curious as to what she might say.
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 Seeing the male light up when she was finally in front of him, made her weak in the knees. His smile could melt a frozen heart, and make anyone buckle. She had to admit that smile was amazing, the way he took in her outfit as well. She knew she had made the right choice. She nodded lightly as she slipped into the building and followed him to a table. She stopped long enough to slide the coat off, and placed it along the back of her chair, before sitting down. She looked up at the waiter that handed them menus.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 She nodded her thanks as he walked off. She then opened the menu and started looking it over. Everything looked mouthwatering. When the waiter came back a moment later to take their order she hurried and picked something. [#C71585 "I'll take the grilled chicken sandwich, without the tomato's please, with an iced tea to drink"] she said as she handed the man her menu once more. When they were alone once more, she knew that Leo was curious as to why she was free all weekend. Sure enough he popped the question, and she felt her heart drop in her chest.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 [#C71585 "Before you start to assume I knew anything about that, I didn't. No I don't have a ring either, and I know you looked for that right away as well. Yes daddy wanted to marry me off, and I found out he was there when I arrived. It was a total bombshell for me. So instead of going back home, I decided to stay, because I wanted to see you again, but now I'm starting to regret that choice as well.."] she said softly. She had seen his eyes dart to her finger.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 She knew she was jumped to her own assuming, and it hurt her heart when she mentioned that. She lowered her eyes to her lap before speaking once more. [#C71585 "I'm sorry my words were so harsh.. I shouldn't have snapped at you. I'm still worked up about what daddy tried to do.. Will you forgive me...? If not I'll understand, because you didn't deserve the way I talked to you just now.."] she said in a soft tone. Her heart hurt with her tone of voice with him. She wanted to take it all back.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 She looked up towards him slowly, her eyes filling with tears. She hated being so emotional, and she hoped with everything in her being, that she didn't just screw everything up with male. She had to fight with herself to stay in her seat, because all she wanted to do was run away and hide from the world. [#C71585 "I'm sorry..."] she said again her tone even softer than before. Her heart was racing inside of her chest, as she waited for Leo to say something, or walk away from her and for good.]]
Leo couldn't get around ordering his favorite. "Burger and fries with a beer please," he said as that wild certainly hit the spot right now. Not that his mother's cooking wasn't good, but this was just hearty. That and maybe he needed a little bit of comfort now that he had asked something like that. It was clear in her demeanor that she wasn't happy. A small blush crossed his cheeks at her noticing that he had checked for a ring. Nior had every right to be angry with him for broaching the subject. If it had been a blindside by her father, then she had every right to be mad. And he was too insensitive and just stabbed at it. What hurt the most was her saying that she regretted seeing him. "Nior, it's not like that," he began, but what else could he say? She was clearly upset and he knew that you couldnt really say much when women were upset. Great, he had just blown up their dinner. Good job Leo. Though just as quickly as she had worked up, she was apologizing and asking for him to forgive her. He hated seeing her eyes fill with tears and he didn't want her to cry. "It's not your fault. I heard a rumor and was an insensitive jerk. I shouldn't have assumed," Leo told her with a sigh, "I just... didn't like the thought that you could suddenly be engaged to some other guy." Was that saying too much? It had certainly been the first thought he had. Leo ran a hand through his hair. "We both didn't handle the situation well. I shouldn't have assumed," he said just as their food and drinks was being brought over, "Why don't we just try and enjoy our meal and have a good evening? To a good night?" He raised his glass to toast, hoping she would follow suit. What if she didn't agree to that? What if they couldn't get past this? It worried Leo as somehow the thought of her not being here was strangely painful for him. He hadn't known her a day and yet Nior was so enchanting and he didn't want to lose her.
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 She knew the words had cut the male, she could see the way he looked at her. It tore her apart with how she had spoken to him as well. It wasn't like her in the least. She shouldn't have jumped down his throat like she had, but at least he hadn't walked away. Was she expecting him too? In all honesty yes she was. She had spoken out of turn, and he had assumed which set her off as well. She chewed the inside of her cheek as she watched their food being brought over and placed in front of her.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 The smell was enough to make her mouth water. When she heard the male asking if they could enjoy their night, she couldn't help but feel even worse. She had almost ruined a perfectly good evening and she wasn't about to do that again. She lifted her own drink. [#C71585 "To a good night"] she said softly, before taking a sip. She then placed the drink back down and turned her eyes to the plate in front of her. The food looked amazing, and she couldn't wait to dig into it.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 She picked up the food and took a bite. The flavors hit her tongue all at once, and her eyes lit up a bit. The food was amazing, and she loved it. She hadn't tasted something like this before, and she wanted more. She finished the bite she had in her mouth, before she looked back to Leo. [#C71585 "This place is amazing, the food is wonderful, and the company is even better"] she said with a small smile. She meant it too. She was glad they hadn't gotten off on the wrong foot. It would have torn her apart.]]

Why would I lie to you in the first place?"] she asked. She was curious to his answer. She wasn't one to lie to someone just to get them to like her. That's not how it worked for her. She wanted the male to like her, for who she was. She wouldn't have to lie to make someone like her. If someone didn't want to like her, they would do it with getting to know the real her.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 [#C71585 "Let's just act like this didn't happen, and just start the night over"] she said with a small, sad smile. It would be a little hard for her to get over, but she was willing to do it if he was. She didn't want to lose the man's company, and she hoped that she wouldn't. Something about the man was pulling her in more and more, and she didn't know what it was, but she was going to fit tooth and nail to keep this man in her life, no matter what.]]
They had both hurt the other, each in their own way. He did feel like an absolute idiot for assuming that she had lied. Why had he been so quick to believe his mother? Well, his mother did know a lot and more often than not she was right. Still, she wasn't all knowing and he should have believed Nior. Why hadn't he? Their food arriving made Leo focus on something other than his own thoughts. He was glad that she agreed to them having a good night and took a sip. Curiously, Leo watched her take a bite, wondering if she would like it. After all, this was stuff he enjoyed. What it she was used to fancy things, like caviar and champagne? Sure, he had the money to take her to the fanciest places in the city, but he loved this. Though with how she dug in, it was clear that she was very much enjoying the food. Her words certainly put him at ease. "Well, I'm glad that you like it," Leo replied and a smile grew on his lips, "I agree, the company is amazing." That was no lie and he was hopeful that they could get past this. Of course, it was a fair question. Why would she lie? Plus, how could he explain that his mother, a famous socialite, had told him this and that she was hardly never wrong. It certainly put him in a spot. "Well, I mean... It's not unheard of for people to lie about their relationship status. Not that I think you would," Leo quickly added that second part. God, he was not making a good case for himself. "It's not that I didn't believe you. I guess it was more... I really feel drawn to you and the thought that you could slip away from me... I suppose it didn't make me think straight," he told her, feeling his cheeks grow hot, "I'm sorry. I should have believed you." He genuinely meant that. God, he hoped that she could understand and forgive him. "You had every right to be upset. I'm not usually one to listen to gossip. It just... got to me," he admitted. Hearing Nior wanted to start over, he smiled. "I can agree to that," Leo agreed and took a bite of his own food, "That and this food doesn't taste nearly as good cold." That did make him chuckle. He felt drawn to her and didn't want to let her go. The idea of her just slipping away made his stomach upset. "So... would you feel like doing after dinner? Typical bar activity like pool or darts? Go out dancing?" he inquired, curious as to what she wanted to do or liked to do. "I have to admit I'm not too bad at darts. Likely spent a little too much time at bars," he mused jokingly. It would be nice just to get to know her on a more personal level. To know all of her.
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 The woman understood where he was coming from. She would have done the same thing and questioned him, if she had heard something like that. She shouldn't have bitten his head off, but it had rubbed her the wrong way. She wasn't one to lie to people to make her like her, she would rather be honest with them, and she would want that person to be honest with her. When he mentioned about losing her she felt a slight blush flush her cheeks. So her feelings were being returned after all. It was kind of nice.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 When he asked what she wanted to do after dinner, she thought about it. It would be interesting to see him with some booze in his system, but she didn't want something like that quite yet. [#C71585 "What if we go dancing? I haven't been dancing for awhile, and just letting loose sounds amazing. We have all weekend to hit the bar's if you'd still like too"] she offered. It would be interesting to see him playing darts too. She wasn't that good, and knew he would get a kick out of it for sure.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 She finished off what she could and pushed the plate away. She leaned back in her chair and put her hands over her stomach. [#C71585 "That food was amazing, and I can not eat another bite. She would make sure to bring some food back home for her roommate to try. That reminded her, she had to call her roommate when she got back to the hotel and let her know what happened with her father.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 She then realized she was silent longer than she should have. She shook her head and looked towards Leo. [#C71585 "Sorry, I got wrapped up in my thoughts for the time being. Do you know of any good places for dancing? Or would you rather go back to my hotel and order drinks or something?"] she offered. Either way she wasn't ready to part ways with the male. There was so much she wanted to explore about the male. She was curious as to where he had heard the rumor about her getting married too.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 That issue she wouldn't push, until she knew for sure she was ready to know where it came from. She thought about finding the person and setting them straight. She shoved that thought down and out of her mind for the time being. She chewed the inside of her cheek as she waited to see what the male wanted to do. She wouldn't mind going dancing, and secretly hoped he would choose the same thing. If not, she would be more than willing to go back to the hotel, that meant she could change into something more comfortable as well.]]
Leo was glad that she didn't laugh at him for admitting that he didn't like the idea of losing her. He honestly wasn't sure what he would have done, if she had. Though so far neither he nor Nior had made much of a secret of the fact that they liked each other's company. It certainly felt nice to have that feeling. He smiled though at hearing that Nior enjoyed the food. "I'm glad. I enjoyed it a lot too," he agreed, finishing off his own food, "And if you'll want me, I'll gladly accompany you again." Leo certainly wanted to make the most of this weekend with Nior. Somehow the news of her possibly having a fiance had turned from the worst thing to the best thing for him. Dancing. He was by no means a born dancer. It had taken a long time for his mother's tutor to best ballroom dancing into him. Through that he had become a good dancer. Her second option made him pause, as if he wasn't sure if he had heard her correctly. Go back to her hotel... Leo couldn't help thinking of where that could lead. Not that he was opposed to that, especially with someone as gorgeous as Nior, but still... God, he could almost use a cold shower from those thoughts alone. "You look far too beautiful to be holed up in a hotel room," Leo finally said, hoping she couldn't read the thoughts he had briefly had of them, "Let's go dancing. Do you like to go out dancing?" That was true. In that red dress he would be envied by any man in any club they went. That he would be the one that escorted this vision of a woman. Got to hold her close or touch her as they danced. "There are a few places not too far from here," he went on before signaling the waiter that they were ready to pay. Being the gentleman that he was, he paid and afterwards helped Nior into her coat. As it was only a few minutes, they walked before reaching the street with a few different clubs on it. "Any strike your fancy?" Leo asked before indicating towards two, "Those two are pretty good. Nice drinks, good music and not too crowded." He was certainly excited at the prospect of them dancing together and would gladly do so all night long. Maybe in between they would have the chance to talk more and get to know one another.
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 Nior wasn't expecting the male to pay for her meal, but she wasn't going to argue. She's learned over the years that men are stubborn, and will make sure they get everything paid for. She would make it up to him sooner or later. When he mentioned the idea of dancing again she perked up. She wouldn't mind going. She blushed a bit at his comment. [#C71585 "It's really nothing special, it was supposed to be used to impress some high horses in the company, so I figured I would need to put it to good use"] she admitted.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 She had many plans for this outfit, and none of them were going to happen now, and she was glad. She enjoyed the fact that Leo was getting enjoyment out of the outfit as well. She stood and slipped her arms into her coat sleeves, reached for her small bag and pulled her wallet out. [#C71585 "You paid for dinner, it's only fair I leave the tip"] she said as she pulled out a $20 and placed it on the table top. It was the least she could for to the waitress, even though she had flirted with Leo.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 In her mind Leo was her man, and she wasn't going to let any woman flirt with him. She did understand that money was tight with the waitresses, and she would do everything she could to make things better for them. She walked with the male out to the street. The streets were still busy with cars, and people. She was glad the walk wasn't that far. When they stopped in front of two different buildings, she looked them both up and down, debating on which one to enter. She wasn't sure and she hated choosing.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 She looked up at both names and chewed the inside of her cheek. The one they were directly in front of was called [b The White Horse]. It was an interested name, and she was curious as to why t was called that. [#C71585 "Why not this one? The name is interesting to say the least"] she said lightly as she turned her eyes towards the male once more. God she couldn't stop looking at him. He was easy on the eyes, easy to talk too, and her feelings towards him were really strong.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 Without waiting for a reply, she walked towards the building, opened the door and slipped inside. The sight before her took her breath away. There weren't a lot of people like Leo had said. The music was loud, but not too loud like a bar's would have been. People were already on the dance floor, and she was getting more excited with each passing second. She was liking this little place more and more. She found them a table and slipped out of her coat and placed it on the back of her chair, before sitting down.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 [#C71585 "Do you want to get drinks first and talk for a little bit? I'm still really full, and want to let everything settle before doing anything too wild"] she said with a sheepish smile. It would give them enough time to talk, since they had all night pretty much.]]
That dress was definitely something special and he was thoroughly enjoying it. How could he not after all. "It's definitely being put to good use," he assured her, though was glad that she didn't seem to guess his thoughts. Though who was to say she wasn't thinking something similar? Not that it really mattered. They would enjoy their night and whatever happened happened. Leo did arch a brow at Nior saying she would leave the tip. He was certainly not against a woman paying, though he still thought it the gentleman move to pay for the first dinner. Afterwards they could share or take turns. He nodded with a smile. Truthfully, he hadn't even noticed that the waitress had flirted with him as he had only focused on Nior. The fresh air did feel good and there was always something soothing about the hustle and bustle of the city streets. Having grown up here, it certainly was a home of sorts. Sure, the people weren't always friendly, but it had a charm that was hard to deny. Leo looked up at the club she chose. "The White Horse it is," he agreed and followed her inside. The way she had looked at him made him shiver in the best way. If he was reading the signs right, and he believed he was, she was just as infatuated with him as he was her. Okay, probably didn't take a master detective considering they were going out, but still. It definitely made him feel special and almost giddy to think so. The little club was nice. It wasn't too loud and had a nice decor he could appreciate. Plus it wasn't too crowded so that they could still find a table, where they soon settled. "Anything too wild?" Leo repeated amused, "What falls under that category?" He arched a teasing brow. "Drinks and talking sounds good," he agreed and once they had placed their drink orders, he turned his attention back on Nior. He tried to think on what he wanted to know. Well, he wanted to know everything about her, but where to start? "So... you live in California then, when your dad isn't sending you around the world?" he inquired. So far, she hadn't mentioned it and he had only assumed that she did, "Where did you grow up?" If she had grown up in New York, he wondered if perhaps they had crossed paths before and simply not know it. On second thought, it felt like even at a much less younger and immature age he would have noticed Nior. With her interesting liking of true crime podcasts it felt like she would have always stood out, in the best way possible.
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 Nior's mind was spinning. She wanted to be behind locked doors, and feeling his skin against her's. She shouldn't have jumped on him like she did earlier, and she was just glad he was willing to giver her another chance. He was interesting to say the least, and he had sparked her interest the first moment she laid eyes on him. When they had gotten a table, and placed their orders, she cocked her head to the side and smirked. What was considered too wild? She was an open book so to speak, and she would tell him whatever he wanted.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 [#C71585 "Scratch the too wild idea. Ask anything, and everything you want. The way he was looking at her, was giving her the creeps, but she shoved it aside and looked back towards Leo. She leaned her elbows against the table, and rested her chin in her hand. Nior rolled her eyes, as she looked back towards Leo, wishing she had said yet to going back to the hotel instead of being here. She didn't like the way the red head was looking at her. It was making her uncomfortable after all. She took a breath and ducked her head.]]

She bit the inside of her cheek, as she kept her eyes towards to table, wishing to be anywhere else right then.]]
Leo did think they had time to get to know one another. At least, they both seemed to make it clear that this seemed to be something they were interested in and yet he wanted to know as much as he could about her. Her words about scratching the wild part made him chuckle softly. The way Nior leaned on her arm and the table gave her something breathtaking. Honestly, he could have spent all night just looking at her. No, that wasn't true. He very much wanted to do other things with her. God, would it be too forward to go to her hotel after all? She had offered and he had been too courteous to accept. Listening to her childhood, Leo smiled, trying to imagine how she was growing up. How she had likely been full of energy and rambunctious. He nodded. "I get that. I don't think you can fully appreciate New York until you are older. That and as a child it is pretty daunting," he agreed, "But growing up in California sounds nice." He remembered how he had come here after his father's death. It was scary to say the least. Would they have met before now, if she had gone into the city? He wasn't sure. "I spent my first few years in New Orleans actually. My dad was a cook and my mom fell in love with him while she was there. Ended up staying and I came along soon after. I pretty much lived in his kitchen. Unfortunately, my dad ended up getting cancer and dying when I was around ten, like I mentioned before. After that, we moved to New York where my mom is from. She was close to her family that way. I did like New Orleans. It has such a vibrancy that is hard to explain. New York was a lot more... well big, for a lack of a better word. Everything was bigger or louder. That's not bad, but it was certainly a change," he told her. Leo didn't mind talking about his childhood. He had liked it, despite his father's passing and the whole heir part. The drink being placed before before Nior made him pause. His brow arched and he looked over his shoulder to look at the red headed gentleman. That was pretty brazen, especially considering that Leo was sitting right there. If Nior hadn't sent back the drink, likely he would have gotten up and had traded a few choice words with the gentleman. She was his and no run of the mil guy was just going to show up and take her. He felt his jealousy flair up, much like it had when he had thought she was engaged. When she asked about moving tables, Leo looked to her. "Maybe it would be better, if we take our food to go and go somewhere else?" he suggested, not wanting her near this man that was creeping her out. Still, he didn't want her to feel uncomfortable. "I think it might be better, if I have a short chat with him," Leo continued slowly, unsure how she would react to that, "Why don't you get our food ready?" After all, he wanted to make sure that she was safe and this man clearly didn't have any boundaries. He got up, but didn't make a move towards the man just yet.
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 The feeling of the man's eyes on her made her shudder. The way he was looking at her, the way he was undressing her with his eyes. If it had been Leo looking at her that way would have been different. When he mentioned getting their food to go she nodded lightly. [#C71585 "I'll be more than happy too"] she said as she slowly stood. When the man mentioned speaking to the red headed gentleman, her heart swelled. Just the fact he was wanting to get her out of there, was enough to get her fully going.]]

She knew the male was going to speak to him, but she also wanted to get a point across as well. Before she went to gather some take out boxes, she moved in front of Leo. She titled her head back and looked up towards him. He was so much taller than she was, and her heart hammered inside of her chest with what she was about to do. [google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 She tilted his head down towards her, and she pressed herself up against him, and stood on her tip toes to close the rest of the gap between them, and soon her lips found his. She was letting Leo do as he wanted. She went and asked for a couple of take out boxes, and paid for their meals as well at the front. She kept her back turned towards the two men. [google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 Now that she had, she wanted to get him back to her hotel room, feel his lips molded against hers again, and on her skin all together. [google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 She licked her lower lip lightly as he made her way out the door, and stood in the cool night air. She leaned against the wall a few feet from the door. She leaned her head back, closed her eyes, and thought about the kiss she had done. Hopefully she didn't push the male too far, but she hoped he'd be out that door in the next couple of minutes, and she could finally feel his lips again, along with his hands on her. The only hands she wanted to feel right then and there.]]
He would be a terrible man, if he kept Nior in a situation that made her visibly uncomfortable. Unfortunately, there were still men out there that didn't understand women were not something to be conquered or would do whatever they wanted. This wasn't even about being chivalrous, but general human decency. Why couldn't everyone just be treated in a good fashion? Leo was still trying to figure out how to speak to the man when Nior stepped in front of him, making him pause. Looking down at her, it struck him how much shorter she was than him, making him want to protect her even more. His brow arched at her words and he was still trying to understand what she meant as she touched his chin and a moment later kissed him. Leo bit back a soft moan, his arms wrapping around Nior to pull her closer. She felt perfect against him, her lips almost addictive in taste and it took everything he had not to pull her back into a kiss. "You are something else," he mused softly as he watched her head over to get their food, "I'll be out in a moment." She had done what he had been thinking about all night. God, she was ravishing. Only was Nior was safely out the door did Leo focus on the redhead, trying to keep his testosterone in check and not simply swing at the man, though Nior's actions had made that hard. With another deep breath he walked over to the man. "I believe it's common courtesy to not interfere in a date," Leo said as calmly as he could. "I was just giving her another option," the man replied with a shrug before taking another sip of his drink, "Nothing wrong with that." "There is when she didn't ask for it," Leo retorted, his voice tight from restraint, trying to keep it even but it was getting hard, his hand balling into a fist. The man gave a snorting laugh, emptying his drink before rising to a stand. He wasn't much shorter than Leo, not bad to look at, but clearly already had a drink too many, "Oh please, they all ask for it," he laughed, "Especially those rich girlies. Act all prim and proper, but deep down all they want is to be..." Before Leo could stop himself he punched the man square in the face. He was seeing red. God, this man reminded him so much of those condescending frat boys from college that he hated so much. Thought they could do anything, because daddy had money. The man spat blood as he caught himself. "Bastard," he growled and lunged at Leo, knocking over the table in the process. The two rolled around on the floor, trading blows and insults, before the bar keeper and he assumed the cook by the white uniform pulled them apart. His cheek smarted slightly, but other than that he felt okay. Though his mother wouldn't be pleased. She would have a fit with him supposed to be at some luncheon tomorrow. Crap, Nior... Pulling out of the bar keeper's grasp, he threw one final glare at the man before walking towards the door, throwing a twenty on the counter for the inconvenience as luckily nothing seemed to have been broken in the tussel. His reflection in the glass of the door showed a slight red mark on his one cheek, nothing too drastic. Outside Leo looked to Nior, feeling bad about breaking his promise. "It's not as bad as it looks," he tried to assure her, though honestly wasn't sure if she would be mad now. Suddenly he felt like kid, waiting to see if his mother would scold him for something bad he did. "I'm sorry. He just... got to me...," Leo admitted, hating himself for it, "So... are we still up for that food? Maybe some place where we won't run into creeps?" He gave her a slightly teasing look, hoping to sooth her slight, though he could feel the tightness in his cheek. His hands itched to touch her, but he didn't want to push his luck when he didn't know how Nior was feeling.
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 The night was heading into a whole different direction than what the woman had wanted. She was really annoyed with the redheaded man buying her a drink, and the way he had looked at her as well. She was about to go back inside and find Leo, when she all of a sudden heard his voice. She opened her eyes and looked towards him. Seeing the bruise that was already forming on the man's cheek made her heart swell. He had gotten into a fight after all. The one thing she didn't want happening, happened.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 Her eyes softened even more as she reached up and touched the spot under his eye slightly. [#C71585 "You took quite the hit. All because of me wasn't it?"] she asked. She hated it when people got into fights over her. She wasn't much to fight over, but just knowing that Leo did for her, was enough to prove that he was a good man, and someone she could easily let into her life even more. [google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 She fell silent the rest of the walk, and she led him through the doors, and to the elevator. The way that Nior looked at him made Leo feel like his entire face had been battered or something. Or at least if he went by how big her eyes got, even if he knew that wasn't true. Leo was hoping that it would appease her a bit, so she wouldn't be too angry with him. He was still so frustrated that he had allowed himself to be goaded into a fight. Leo couldn't help flinching slightly as she touched his cheek. "Because that guy was an arrogant piece of work," he corrected, not wanting Nior to feel responsible. She wasn't. At least not to him. "Sounds good," he agreed, even if he didn't feel like he needed a first aid kit, but that second part certainly made him want to comply. Away from the public eye. His lips still tingled from their kiss and when she once more leaned up to kiss him, he gladly kissed her back, despite the tinge his cheek gave. His arm wrapped around her as the two made their way down the street. Her words made him arch a brow in a teasing manner. "Oh, does it give me a rugged dangerous vibe?" he asked teasingly before sobering slightly, "I have to disagree. I think you are something very special and if this bruise is what I get for making sure you feel safe, then it's a small price to pay." He meant it too. It was only a bruise and he wanted her safe, at all cost. They walked silently for a moment before Nior spoke. Somehow Leo hadn't expected that. He used her hand to stop her from walking so she looked to him. "Don't be ridiculous. None of this is your fault. You were only minding your own business," he assured her, "If there is anyone to blame it's that guy. Please don't ever think you are responsible for this." Leaning down, he kissed her forehead before continuing to walk. The hotel was nice enough, though it clearly catered more to business people so that it was more functional than high end glam, even if he assumed she could have afforded it. Leo followed her up to her room and nodded, slipping off his jacket before sitting down on the bed. He watched her rummage through her bags before finding the kit. His head tilted up to look at Nior as she stepped between his legs. Up close he could admire her features even more, wincing slightly as she went about her work. Once she was done Leo reached up and caught her hand in his, bringing it down to kiss the inside of her palm. "Thank you," he said softly before placing a few more up her wrist. Gently he used her hand to draw her down into a kiss, his free arm wrapping loosely around her. They were really away from the prying eyes of everyone. While they still had their food to eat, for a brief moment he wanted to enjoy this feeling. He kissed her for a moment longer before pulling back, though it cost him a lot of effort. "We still have our food," he whispered, though he certainly wasn't hungry anymore. At least not for food.
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 Nior knew she didn't need to clean up his wound, but she was worried it could get infected if it didn't get the proper care. She opened up an alcohol pad, and wiped the cut gently. When she was done, she felt the males fingers around her's, pulling her down towards him. Her heart thundered inside of her chest as her lips found his once more. With her free hand, she slipped it around the back of his neck, and kissed him even deeper. She finally pulled back to catch her breath. She knew about the food still but didn't care.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 [#C71585 "If I'm being honest, I don't want to eat"] she said in a small tone. She wasn't hungry for food anymore. She picked up the kit, and garbage and placed them both onto the table. She then moved back towards the bed, and stood between his legs again. Her eyes locked with his, searching for answers on stopping.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 She was glad they had finally gotten behind closed doors, and she wished they had done it sooner. She meant it too. She closed the gap between them again, her lips finding his. She pressed herself towards him, pushing him back onto the bed. [google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 Seeing him laying there under her, fully clothed still made her heart race. It was a sight she's wanted since the first time she laid eyes on him. She reached down and slid her hands along his chest and stomach. Finding the buttons of his shirt. As she moved up along the line of buttons, her heart raced even more. She wasn't one to do something like this either.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 When she finished unbuttoning his shirt, she ran her fingers lightly along his chest. The feeling of his skin under her fingertips made her shudder. [#C71585 "Touch me.."] she breathed out. She wanted more, but she also wanted to test how far long he could hold back. She was testing the waters so to speak. She kept running her fingers lightly along his chest, her eyes never leaving his.]]
It was only a bruise, but Leo wouldn't complain if it meant that Nior came this close. He could smell her perfume on her and it was intoxicating. Their kissing made his blood rush and and his heart beat fast as though it might break out of his chest. Could she hear it? It certainly felt like she might. Honestly, Leo didn't care about the food and he was kicking himself for pulling away. God damn, there was only one thing he wanted right now and it had nothing to do with food. Though hearing that Nior didn't seem to be hungry either got a rile out of him as he watched her step away to put away the stuff before coming back where he instantly wrapped his arms around her. Her words made him feel like he had been caught. Had he been looking at her so obviously? He hoped not, but something about her made him have little restraint. Though it seemed the same could be said for her as she kissed him. Being pushed back onto the bed, he chuckled, looking up at her. There was nothing more sexy than that look on her right now. His gaze watched her as she began to undress on his buttons, his chest rising and falling quickly with every breath. Meanwhile his hands rested on her hips, wandering along her legs to take them in occasionally. Her fingers almost dancing along his chest made him bite his lip. His body was on fire. Her words were his command. Nior still wore that red dress and all he had been thinking about was taking it off. They could be rolling in the sheets in seconds, but Leo wanted to savor this moment. His hands continued to wander along her legs, but not slipped underneath her dress, pushing it up some, revealing more and more skin. They cupped her backside before slipping out to run up her back. Gently he drew her down to continue their heated making out as his hands went about their way, running along her back and into her hair. Finally though he couldn't resist anymore and his hands found her zipper, inching it down. Having Nior sit up, it slowly slid from her frame. "God, you are the sexiest woman I ever met," he whispered, his eyes fully taking in her new state. He didn't want to forget a second of this.
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 Feeling the male's fingers along her skin made her shudder lightly. Everywhere his fingers touched it felt like her skin was on fire. She wanted nothing more than to keep going. She felt the fabric slowly moving up her thighs, and soon his hands were right where she wanted. It didn't last long before his hands were gone, and she was pulled back down towards him. She nipped lightly at his lower lip, and then she felt his fingers slowly unzipping her dress. She was glad she had chosen not to wear much else than the dress.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 She sat up, and the fabric slowly fell away. Her cheeks tinted pink as he watched her. Her heart was thundering and she was sure he'd be able to hear it. Slowly she was losing her own control. She wanted the fabric gone from the both of them. She slowly slid off of the male and let the dress fall to the floor all together. She stood there with a look in her eyes, the begged him to take what he wanted. She loved the feeling of his eyes on her, and it made her feel even better.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 As the words left his lips, she blushed a bit more. She licked her lower lip lightly as she moved back onto the bed. She then pulled him on top of her, her lips finding his once more. Her fingers found the top of his pants, as well. Soon her body was tangled with his. The best feeling at the moment, and she didn't want it to end.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 The sounds slipping from both of them was magical. It's been a while since she's been with a man like this, and she wanted it to last as long as possible. When they were both spent, she curled up against the males side, her breathing heavy. Her mind racing, her skin warm to the touch. She turned her head and kissed his shoulder lightly. [#C71585 "You.. Are.. Amazing.."] she breathed out. She meant it too. [google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 [#C71585 "Stay with me tonight.. Unless you have to leave"] she whispered. She wanted the comfort of another body, but she wouldn't pressure him to stay. As the minutes ticked by, she knew it was getting closer and closer to when she would have to go back home. That thought saddened her more than it should have. She didn't want to leave New York yet.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 She shifted her head to his shoulder, and rested her forehead there. She made small circles on the man's stomach as she feel silent. Her breathing was slowly going back to normal, and her skin was still warm to the touch, but the silence was enough to lull her into sleep. She was slowly losing that battle though. She wanted to make sure he'd be there in the morning. So she fought sleep, just to hear his answer about staying.]]
Nior was a sight. There was no other way to say it as he watched her dress slide down her figure. And daring. Definitely that. There was not much more he could say, because honestly he was at a loss for words as she stood. That look in her eyes would make any man melt. Her words were like honey and Leo gladly rolled on top of her. She was lightning a fire in him that he couldn't ignore. Their kisses send sparks through his body and his lips only reluctantly moved to her neck. God, he would make sure this was a night neither of them would forget. It certainly felt like he had accomplished that. It was magical and he truly felt like they had left nothing on the table. Breathing heavily, Leo laid beside her, his arm wrapped around her still, not wanting to let her go. "So are you...," he panted. It genuinely felt like they were meant to be. Everything just clicked with them. Stay with me. Leo looked to Nior. He knew his more had plans for him the next day, but surely he could sleep here. He didn't want to leave this warmth, wanted to extend this moment for as long as he could. "I have to leave fairl early, but I'll stay," he replied softly and kissed her once more before settling down to sleep. Her touch was soothing and he soon fell asleep, dead tired from this day. The next morning he woke up early, probably partially because his internal clock was messed up from the jetlag. Looking over, the sight of Nior beside him assured him that last night was not a dream. She looked too serene as she slept. Leaning over, he kissed her collarbone. "You look too beautiful this morning," Leo whispered, softly. The clock on the nightstand told him he had to go soon, though he wanted to milk this moment for as long as he could. His hand ran along her side, lamenting in how he had to actually get out of bed. Briefly he considered blowing off his mother, but she would have a fit. She didn't ask a lot of him as her heir so he had to attend the few things she did make him go to. Slowly he got out of bed to find his clothes, leaning over to kiss her once more. Why was it so damn hard to leave her?
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 Nior had the best sleep in ages. It was nice to have another body next to her. She hadn't been so relaxed in forever as well. When the morning rolled around, and she felt the male's lips on her collar bone a small groan passed through her lips. Was it morning already? She heard the man's voice and she slowly opened her eyes to look at him. [#C71585 "I wish you didn't have to go.."] she said softly. She snuggled down into the sheets even more, as she watched him with tired eyes. Last night was amazing.]]

She slowly sat up and pulled the sheet up to cover her chest. She reached her free hand up, and brushed her hair out of her eyes. A shower was in order, but that could wait a little bit. She wanted to soak up their time together.]]

Thinking about last night made her heart skip a beat. Had she really slept with him? She was kind of sore, but it was a good sore though. She bit her lip lightly as she watched him silently.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 She could tell he was struggling on leaving. [google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 When the male was gone, the room felt different. She sighed lightly as she lowered herself back down onto the bed, and put her head into her hands. She could still feel the man's hands on her skin, the feeling of his lips on her, the feeling of his body on top of her's. God the night before was amazing, and perfect. She lifted her head and pushed herself back up to her feet, and made her way to the bathroom for a hot shower. She might as well make it a day while Leo was busy.]]
Leo gave a lamenting chuckle. "Trust me, if it were up to me I would be staying here all day. Unfortunately, mother has some things lined up I can't ignore. Family stuff...," he lamented, trying to commit the image of her lying there in bed to memory. What a sight. "Thank you," he grinned as he slipped on his clothes. Once more that thought of just blowing his mother off came to mind, but she would never forgive him if he did. "Was last night's date that terrible? I mean, the beginning was a little shaky, but it ended pretty amazing," Leo teased, leaning over to kiss her softly, "But regardless, I'll gladly come back. I'll text you." He didn't want her waiting around in her room just for him to show up. Texting would be easier. Kissing Nior back, he wrapped his arms around her, holding her close for a moment. "See you," he said before leaving. It felt weird to leave. All the while on his train ride him Leo thought on their night. He couldn't help it. Had it ever been like this before with a woman? He didn't think so. God, Nior was driving him crazy in the best way possible. Arriving home, he was greeted by his mother. "You have 10 minutes," she told him, giving him a curious look. "That's more than enough," he assured her and quickly made his was upstairs, wanting to be away from her inquisitive gaze. He quickly showered and dressed. Seconds after he was done his mother was already barging in, saying she would take him now, even if he was half dressed. In his hurry he didn't realize he hadn't grabbed his phone or to put it better, that it wasn't even with him at all. He wouldn't realize that until noon. Standing in his suit in a beautiful hotel hall which was rented out for some charity his mother supported, he was patting his pockets to see if it really wasn't there. "Stop your fidgeting. Honestly, you probably forgot it at home with what a rush you were in," his mother retorted before hooking his arm with hers, "Now, over there is the chairman of the charity. He also has a very lovely daughter." Leo was at least glad his mother wasn't being subtle about her attempts to match make him, even if he wasn't remotely interested. Now, he just wanted to get home and find his damn phone. He couldn't even remember when he had last seen it. Mentally, he was kicking himself, hoping Nior didn't think badly of him for not messaging.
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 Nior hadn't heard a single word from Leo that day. She knew he told her, he'd text her and yet her phone was still silent. She bit her lip lightly as she thought about sending him a message. She fought the urge for a while, but then decided to message him. [#C71585 [i I'm not sure what's gotten you so busy, but I'm going to be out and about enjoying the town. Was she just a one night stand to him? She hoped that wasn't the case. There was so much running around in her mind just then, she didn't know what to do. Was this really happening right now? Was she really letting this get to her?]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 She shook her head lightly as she walked out of the hotel room, and made her way to the elevator. I'm going to be out and about right now, so let me know.]] She hit send, and stepped into the elevator. As the doors closed her phone chimed. She pulled it out, hoping it was Leo, and it wasn't. She sighed as she opened Missy's message.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 [b [i I would love to meet up! I'm dropping the kids off at school, and I can meet you at a coffee shop. Meet me and Burke's and Bailey's. See you soon. Xoxo.]] Nior smiled lightly and sent a quick okay back. She had a little bit of time to kill. She checked the address for Burke's and Bailey's and realized she was within walking distance. She might as well walk, the weather was still good, and she might as well enjoy it. She stepped off the elevator, and made her way out to the street.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 She let herself get lost with the crowd. Her mind on Leo the whole time. If he didn't want to talk to her, all he had to do was tell her. Instead he was ignoring her. That broke her heart. She had gotten her hopes up, and now she felt like her heart was breaking. She was stupid to let him into her bed, and yet she was still hung up on the male. She wanted to see him again, and she hoped he would see her. She sighed lightly as she looked up at the buildings around her.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 She was closed to Burke's and decided to head there. It took her about fifteen minutes to get there, and once she arrived she walked inside, grabbed a table and waited for Missy to arrive. She checked her phone again for a message from Leo, and there still wasn't anything. Great. She rolled her eyes lightly, as she set her phone aside and looked out the window, people watching for the time being.]]
Leo was growing more agitated by the second. Why was this charity event taking so long? All he wanted was just to get home and find his phone so he could text Nior. Surely, she had to be thinking the worst of him. His mother's only comment was that it was good for him to have a little detox. Young kids and their phones. By the time they were in the car on their way back, Leo's cheeks ached from forcing himself to smile so much, pretending that nothing was wrong. "That was certainly a success. Thank you for coming," his mother said as she looked over to him, "Are you going to tell me who it is you're trying to reach so desperately? Does it have anything to do with your inquiry from the other day?" It was clear from her gaze that she wouldn't be buying any sort of lie he could come up with. "When it's something serious, you'll be the first to know," he simply assured her. Wasn't it serious though? Leo didn't think he would have this reaction to any random woman he had just met. Nior was special, more than special. "Is she aware of who you are?" his mother inquired, but his look told her everything, "Just don't wait too long. Otherwise you might miss the moment to tell her." Leo rolled his eyes. Finally they reached their home and he sprinter up to his room, finding his clothes from the night before, tearing them apart. Gone, it wasn't there. Where the hell was his phone?! Leo ran a hand through his hair. What to do? Call the hotel? As if Nior would answer any call after he had pretty much ghosted her. Instead he simply threw of his suit jacket and left, heading back to her hotel. There he knocked at her door. No answer. Either she wasn't there or ignoring him. Both he could honestly understand. What was he to do? Leo paced in front of her door, but soon stopped, imaging he might otherwise have hotel security kicking him out for suspicious behavior. So instead he leaned against the door and waited. Nior said she wasn't leaving until the morning so she had to come back here, right? God, he hoped so. Finding his phone was secondary to explaining to her what had happened.
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 The hours passed as Missy and Nior spoke about her adventures since she's been there. [b "So you mean to tell me, that you let a total stranger into your bed, and he hasn't messaged you at all? Nior, that's a red flag in my book. He might have been after one thing, and one thing only"] Missy said with a motherly tone in her voice. Nior shook her head lightly, and reached for a chip and dipped it in the salsa before her. [#C71585 "I know it makes me look trashy, but he's different.."] she said lightly.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 [#C71585 "There's just something about him, something I can't put my finger on. I want to trust him, but I just don't know what to do. I feel like I'm losing myself right now.. He's such a gentleman. Last night he hit a guy, because the other guy bought me a drink"] she said. She shuddered remembering the way the redheaded man had looked at her. Missy shook her head lightly, as she took her glass and took a sip, before setting it back down. [b "I'm not too sure about that"] she said softly.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 [b "I mean, I know you want to see the good in everyone, but maybe this Leo character isn't what you thought?"] she asked. Nior shook her head lightly. She wasn't going to believe that, not one bit. She didn't want to think that way about him. It was kind of strange that he wasn't messaging her, when he said he would have. Maybe Missy was right. She sighed inwardly, as the two finished their lunch. When the check came Nior paid for Missy's order as well. Missy rolled her eyes and stood. [b "You are a peach"] she said grinning.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 [#C71585 "Well I'm not always here, and you always seem to know the right words to say, so thank you. It's the least I can do"] she said as the two hugged. Missy kissed her cheek lightly. [b "Thank you for messaging me. I wish we had more time together, I'll make sure to bring the kids to come and see you"] she promised. Soon the two were going their different ways. Nior slid her hand into her pocket, her fingers wrapping around her phone. She pulled it out, and saw that her message wasn't even read.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 She wanted to tear into Leo and just let him have it. She wasn't going too though. It hurt not knowing, but she would figure it out. She walked back to the hotel, and went back up to her floor. As she stepped off the elevator, she spotted Leo sitting in front of her door. Her heart skipped a beat at the sight of him, but she didn't let it show. She walked towards the door and pulled her key card out. [#C71585 "Now you decide to show"] she muttered lightly.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 She stood there and crossed her arms over her chest. [#C71585 "So you just ignore me all day, and all of a sudden show up? What? Do you think I'm just a bloody toy to you? Someone you can mess around with, and not even reply when you say you would?"] she asked, the pain in her voice showing. The door was still closed, because he was leaning on it, but she wanted answers, and she wanted them now.]]
As Leo waited he tried to formulate the best apology he could, though honestly he knew he would be lucky if Nior even spoke, let alone listened to him. He was well aware of what it looked like and he would have been pissed too if he had been the one not receiving any texts after such a night. Once more he ran his hand through his hair so that he assumed it already resembled a hedgehog. Every time the elevator dinged he looked up in anticipation. Every time he was disappointed. It was getting late. Maybe he should leave. If Nior had found a shoulder to cry on, he shouldn't be here when she returned. Leo was still deciding on what to do when once more the elevator dinged and out stepped Nior. If she had looked with him in only adoration this morning, that was all gone and replaced with anger. "Nior...," he began slowly as he came to a stand, but she wouldn't let him finish as she tore into him. Kissing her right now was definitely not a good idea. He let her vent and waited for her to finish. "You have every right to be angry. Every right to hate my guts. It's not what it looks like though," Leo explained, "I lost my phone. Can't find it anywhere so I haven't been able to contact you." Would she even believe that? It was certainly the oldest trick in the book without question. Leo stepped closer, but didn't touch her, looking down at her. "I know it sounds ridiculous, but look me in the eye and tell me you honestly think it's in my character to just ignore you," he went on, keeping her gaze. Surely, she didn't think he was capable of that. "That and how stupid would I be to show up here after not texting or calling all day?" Leo added in slight humor, "After all, with all those true crime podcasts you listen to you likely know a hundred ways to kill me right now." He gave her a soft look, internally begging her to understand.
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 Watching as the male stood and started speaking, made her pause. She listened to his words, and he did have a point. Why would he have shown up here, if he wouldn't have replied to her? She bit the inside of her cheek as she tilted her head back to look up towards him. [#C71585 "I mean it's possible it could still be in the room, but I didn't hear it go off when I texted you before I left.."] she sighed inwardly as she slowly calmed down. She shouldn't have gotten so angry, but Missy's words were ringing in her head.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 [#C71585 "I guess you wouldn't be here at all"] she admitted. She uncrossed her arms and slipped past him and opened the door, she stepped inside and let him into the room with her. She shut the door behind him, and kicked off her shoes. She walked into the room, and scanned the floor and the desk and nothing there. She had hoped his phone would have been there, but it wasn't. She bit her lip as she turned around to face him. She set the key onto the table, and crossed her arms again.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 [#C71585 "I'm not sure if it's here, but you are more than welcome to double check as well. I'm going to order some room service, are you planning on staying?"] she asked lightly. She hoped his answer would be yes. She was still a little upset with him, but she would let it slide for the time being. She walked over to the bed and sat down, and picked up the phone. She put in two different orders, and had them put it on her tab with the room payment. She then hung up and faced him.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 [#C71585 "So, where do you think you lost it?"] she asked. She wasn't too sure if he did for sure or not. She wanted to believe him, but she had been burned this way before. She would give him a chance to explain himself, and after that she would decide on what to do. She was fighting the urge just to grab him, pull him down onto the bed, and just have at it. In a way she was hoping he'd do it this time. Her body was screaming for his touch again.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 [#C71585 "I'm sorry for being a bitch.. You didn't deserve that.. Do you want me to help retrace your steps, and see if we can find it?"] she asked. She might as well drop it, she couldn't be angry at him for long. He was too good to look at, and not to mention, she wanted those arms around her again. She stayed where she was though, perched on the side of the bed.]]
Leo was relieved when Nior didn't slap him. She had every right to. "It might be. I have no idea," he replied with a shrug, "Last time I remember seeing it was before we went to the bar." Sure, that didn't leave too many options, but enough. That or a pickpocket took it, but that would be very bad luck. He watched her go into her room and patiently waited outside, not wanting to go inside unless she said so. It was clear he was still on thin ice until his phone either miraculously turned up or she forgave him. He wasn't sure which one would happen first. Nodding, Leo finally stepped inside and took a look around, but like Nior found nothing. Damn it, he had hoped it would be here. Where was it? The question of food made him look up surprised. That he hadn't expected. "If you'll have me," he replied, though she didn't seem too eager to kick him out, luckily. With a sigh he straightened, having just checked under the bed when she finished placing the order. "I mean, unless someone stole it and it isn't here, it has to be at the bar," he said. There had been the fight. It wouldn't be surprising if he lost it then. Her on the bed like that was reminding him very much of last night and Leo was fighting the urge to just take her. He shook his head. "I did. Honestly, I get it when you feel like you've been ghosted," he pointed out before nodding, "I would like that. We could try that date again." He gave her a teasing look. "Though you did order room service so we should wait for that," Leo pointed out and couldn't help himself. He got to his knees before Nior, looking up at her as his hands moved to the sides of her legs. "And maybe I could use the time until that comes to show you how sorry I am for making you feel that way?" he suggested, his voice husky and his eyes clear with hunger as he looked at her. His hands ran along her legs, simply waiting for her word.
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 How could she stay mad at the male? She could tell he was worried, and she had been a bitch to him about the whole thing. She watched as he got onto his knees in front of her, and soon his hands were on her legs. She seemed to lose all thoughts just then. The feelings of his hands on her, made her body scream out to be touched again. A small smirk passed over her lips as she looked down into his eyes. She had to admit, it was pretty sexy seeing him kneeling in front of her like that.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 [#C71585 "Well considering there's going to be a lot of people at the bar, we could always go and see if the workers from last night are there, see if they have it"] she offered. Her mind was still a bit fuzzy, because of the feeling of his hands on her. She wished she didn't have the fabric covering her skin. She leaned forward and took his face in her hands. She leaned down and pressed her lips against his. She couldn't stay mad at him, he was too adorable to stay mad at.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 She pulled back and rested her forehead against his. [#C71585 "Considering we have about a half hour till the food arrives, what did you have in mind?"] she breathed out. She hoped it would be his hands on her skin, his lips upon her's, their bodies moving in time together again. Just the thought of it, made her heart slam against her chest. She couldn't stay mad, he was here. He hadn't ghosted her all together. If he had, he wouldn't have been outside of her hotel room door, waiting for her to get back.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 [#C71585 "Do as you please"] she breathed out softly. She leaned back against her hands, her eyes watching his. She saw the hunger there, and she wondered what he was thinking. She kept her mouth shut for the time being, the silence washing over the both of them. She bit her lip lightly as she shifted her leg a bit. Her eyes watching his face, searching for any signs of what he had on his mind. It was times like this, she wanted to read minds. She wanted to know what he was thinking, and what the look in his eye meant.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 She stayed where she was, unmoving for the time being, as she waited. Her mind spinning with the events of the night before, and she hoped they would end up doing the same thing, just in different ways.]]
Leo was glad that Nior believed him and seemingly forgave him. It was a pretty hard story to believe with him losing his phone and whatnot. He genuinely wasn't sure what ge would have done, if she hadn't. Beg? Some grand gesture? Luckily it didn't come to that. At least the way she looked at him now told him that she didn't seem mad anymore. The look, which he imagined mirrored his own gaze, made him forget the original reason why he was in hot water in the first place so that he had to concentrate on her response. "Yeah, maybe we're lucky," he agreed, though honestly the last thing he wanted was to leave this room, "We could go check after we had something to eat." Maybe. Or he would just go in the morning after he had brought her to the airport. If she was beside him, it didn't matter too much where his phone was. Half a hour. It was enough for what he had in mind. And honestly, even if it wasn't, he didn't care about missing food. Making it up to Nior was much more important than that. "I was thinking something along the lines of this...," he whispered and leaned down to kiss her thigh, "Oh, I intend to." His voice was husky and he did exactly as he had said he would. He showed her just how sorry he was, focusing completely on her and making her feel like the queen she was to him. Just seeing how she reacted was enough for him. When they finished Leo definitely felt better as he looked over to her. "And? Able to forgive me?" he asked, giving her a teasing smile as he watched her closely. God, she was so beautiful. "Did our food come yet?" he asked, genuinely unsure as he had been much too preoccupied with more important things.
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 The female's breath hitched as she felt his lips on her thigh, and she knew what was about to come next. She pulled the male on top of her, and soon their bodies were tangled together. When the were both finished, her breathing was heavy, and her heart hammering inside of her chest. That's when his voice broke though her thoughts, and she turned her head towards him and nodded lightly. [#C71585 "I forgave you the moment I saw you, and you first explained what happened. I don't hold anything against anyone after it's explained"] she said softly.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 It was pretty sneaky with what she had done, but she didn't care. She had the male in her bed once more, and that's all she cared about. That's when he mentioned food. She shrugged lightly. [#C71585 "I'm not sure, I didn't hear anyone knock"] she said softly. She then slipped out of the bed, and found his shirt, and pulled it on. She then made sure her front wasn't exposed, as she went to the door and opened it. A blush came to her cheeks as she saw the male standing there with the rolling tray.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 She felt the males eyes on her, and she wished she had thrown on a robe. [#C71585 "I'm sorry, I didn't know you were here"] she said sheepishly. The male shrugged and licked his lips lightly, looking her up and down. [b "No worries, I just got here, and was about to knock anyway. Enjoy"] he said with a bow of his head, and took one last look at her. Nior's cheeks burned as she grabbed the tray and pushed it into the room. She hurried and closed the door, and put the chain in place.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 She then turned back to Leo and smiled a little. [#C71585 "Remind me to wear a robe next time"] she said, the blush still on her face. She then lifted the lids on both, and found the rolls and grabbed one. She didn't care about the carbs, as she bit into the warm roll. She nodded towards the dishes in front of her, letting him know to dig in. She grabbed another roll, and went and sat on the edge of the bed, the silence washing over them both. She was trying to figure out what to do the rest of the night.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 [#C71585 "If you don't mind, I think I'd like to stay here for the rest of the night. I don't want the rest of the world laying eyes on you. Plus there's a huge tub in the bathroom, and I'm sure it'll fit the both of us"] she said with a small wink. She wanted to keep fabric on the floor, and keep Leo's attention to herself. She hoped he wouldn't mind it. She slid farther back onto the bed, and bent one of her knees, as she ate the rolls in hand.]]
Leo arched a brow at her words. "Had I known it was that easy I might not have tried so hard to be apologetic," he joked before thinking on it, "On second thought, no, cause that was too amazing." That and he wouldn't cheapen their relationship like that. Was it a relationship? It sure felt like it and they certainly had claimed the other mentally in that way. Watching Nior get out of bed, it was certainly a sight to see her in nothing but his shirt. It might be his second favorite sight of her, aside from her in her birthday suit. Though something made her pause and when he heard her speak, he had to bite on his lip not to laugh, though couldn't help it when she closed the door again and turned to face him with a rather priceless expression. Her words gave him the rest as he laughed. "I fear that is far too entertaining," he mused. Though the thought of another man oogling her didn't sit well with him. The smell of food distracted him quickly. First though he watched Nior dig in. It was sexy to watch her eat, not caring about the carbs. Growing up in the south, he did enjoy when women enjoyed their food and didn't pick at a salad because it could have too many calories. With that he picked up his own roll and ate it. "I have to hand it to the hotel. They make good food," he said, licking his fingers as he enjoyed the food. What should they do for the rest of the night? While his phone was important, Leo didn't feel the need to leave the hotel room, more so Nior. It seemed she was thinking the same thing. "Hm... Go out and find my phone or share a tub with the most beautiful woman in the world," he mused, pretending it was a hard decision before smirking, "I think I'll stay here." That was certainly an inviting thought. "As long as you don't get mad that I don't text you tonight," Leo teased, finishing the rolls. When he was done he watched her eat as she finished. "How about I get the tub ready?" he suggested and leaned over to kiss her before getting up, not bothering with clothes. It was definitely a nice tub and more than big enough for them. Leo began filling the tub and even found some nice bubbles to add. Sitting on the tub, he felt the temperature with his hand. "The water is ready whenever you are," he called, liking the idea of doing this. Maybe they should even get some nice wine or the like.
