Liam was sitting outside, the sun scalding hot. He was playing idly with his thumbs, watching other demons walk by without a care in the world. He was singing to a song he created, a song he made for one he loved. However, they had left him and he sung the song to get by. [i Don't leave me awake~] His eyes scanned an empty grass field. [i I can't take this sober.] He swallowed thickly, thinking about the angels above who had a life much [i much] easier. [i I can feel my heart break...] He turned a little, rubbing the back of his neck. What if he just... snuck over? [i Don't tell me it's over!]
He suddenly shot up at the last line of lyrics, confidence filling his broken heart and making him feel excited. He found himself walking to the border before he could even think, and by the time he was at the edge, his confidence had done everything but disappear.
Kenyon stood at the edge of the garden, its was beautiful. bright flowers one of his favorite was a bright blue flower it looked and felt as if it was a crystal. he never touched them because of how fragile it was. he sighed and sat down on the garden bed, the person he once loved, their favorite flower was also the diamond like flower and he tried not to think of them.
Liam was trying to hype himself to jump over when he saw a soft purple petal float by. He looked up and saw a boy in a garden on the other side. With a quick yelp he ruffled his hair enough to hide his horns and hid his tail under his shirt. He then jumped over, a burning sensation on his skin almost instantly. He saw the simple words: [b Demon] on his wrist. He suffed his hand into his pocket, then strolled over to the boy. He cleared his throat nervously, "Hey. Uh, How are you, A- Uh..." He glanced around. He felt out of place already, but he needed to figure out how these Angels talked. If he could just merge a little, then maybe he could be one of those heroes you find in stories that end wars and fix the world... Except, he was a demon. And, He didn't think he was gay. He'll just be a fugitive demon living in heaven until he was banished or killed. Or worse.
His eyes widened and he almost immediately said without hesitation, "You blind or somethin'-" His eyes widened and he smirked, bursting out with laughter to cover his embarrassment. He then muttered a few apologies. "S-Sorry, I react terribly. Ahm- I'm Liam Viryon, a pleasure to meet you." He held out his hand to the boy. He then swallowed thickly. "Once again, sorry for my terrible responses. I just wanted to come over and chat." He smiled a toothy grin. His sharp canines gleamed in the sun and he was grateful for the cooler heat, not the scorching sun beating down on him. He felt he'd hate it in about an hour when he'd start getting cold.
"well not blind... I just wear the blindfold becusae I enjoy it, but your not someone i've met before" he said and shook his hand "I'm Kenyon Laxuos nice to meet you" his hand felt strangely cold as well
"Hmm. That's a weird name." He said simply, not apologizing this time. He sat down beside the male, eyes locked on the flower in front of them. He reached out to touch it, but the moment he did the flower began to wilt and die. He yelped a little, tearing his hand away in fear. [i Why did it do that?!] He thought in a panic. His heart pounded in his chest and he could hear his pulse in his ears. "H-H-Heh..." He attempted a small chuckle, hardly making a noise. His scared eyes locked onto Kenyon, not knowing what he should expect.
Liam let out a breath of relieif. [i Good... I was starting to think everything I would touch here would die...] He shuddered, then said simply, "I dunno, it just is." He shrugged a little, then he rolled his shoulders and arched his back. He leaned his head back and yawned. This place made him tired, as it was peaceful and just all-around amazing. "How do you people stay awake here?" He found himself asking, not even bothering to apologize or re-word the sentence.
"Ah, No." He said simply. He didn't know any type of angel other than Warrior Angels. He'd fought and killed many of them, but he didn't know there were others. He himself was a very special form of demon, a Rage-Lust demon. The best part about it? He could make people fall for him while in battle, and while they are in a head-over-heels fantasy, he'd end their miserable lives.
He chuckled just at the thought, then shook himself back to reality. His song began to play in his head again, but he forced out the noise to focus on Kenyon.
"well Broken angels start out as any other angel but like me i'm an ice type but when they go through heart break then their wings shatter...I haven't been able to fly for a few years now" he said looking down
"A-Ah... Oh..." He winced a little. "Who broke your heart, i-if you don't mind me asking." He said slowly, interested. "Oh- Nevermind that, it was rude. Ahm, can you get like... fixed?" He tested the words, not knowing if that was offensive or not. His tail slid out from underneath his shirt, swaying in the wind behind him. It was a thin, black cord-like thing with a broken heart on the end. He could shift the tail into anything he pleased, but he normally just left it at a stereotypical demon tail.
He shrugged "I'm not sure if it can be fixed, broken angels are rare and not much is known... but maybe if someone could make them fall in love again it would help" he said looking up at the sky thinking
Liam laughed at that. [i Good luck with that, kid. Angels are heartless monsters. Demons pale in comparison.] He chuckled at how ironic that sounded, but it was true regardless. "Eh... Maybe so. I'm going through a breakup too... My boyfriend left me for the lead singer, and me being the backup vocalist and guitarist, that sucks. Screw the drummer, man." He spoke in a dark tone. "I write his goddamn music, all of the music. Then they go treat me like trash." He crossed his arms across his chest, annoyed. Small, black flames came from his horns, but he just shook his head and re-covered them. His horns had a bad tendency to burst into flames based on his emotions.
He nodded "well for me she was scared of me..." he said quietly "i've worn the blindfold most of my life the few times I take it off is when i'm alone... she said that she wanted to see what was under it and I showed her... she didn't talk to me after that"
He sat in silence for a long while, then said simply. "Can I see under your blindfold?" He paused. "I won't be scared, I assure you." He said simply. He meant it too, as he wasn't scared of anything this poor little demon could do.
He nodded. "Alright, I understand." He gave a kind smile to that. He leaned back again, laying on the ground. His tail simply disapparated. He purred lowly, closing his eyes before saying calmly, "What d'you think of this demon and angel war?" His purr turned into the base tune of Awake, a song he wrote.
He stiffened a little at that. "Oh yeah? How? I'd like to know... f-for future fights." He added the last part hastily, a small curious smile on his face. [i Wow... This is going somewhere at least... I think.]
He nodded silently, understanding that. He had gotten into many fights with other demons, and he took this to his advantage as well. He liked to assume that he didn't rage that easily, but that'd be a lie.
"U-U-Uh... What angel am [i I]?" He swallowed thickly, looking around. He tried to cover the look of panic and confusion on his face, failing miserably. He took in a big breath, his hands tightly clenching as he prepared to go on the defensive.
"Uhm... Yes- No! Maybe?" and with that panicked stammer, he ran out of the garden. He took a large leap over the border, the words on his wrist fading away as he felt his body heat up, the sunburns on his body beginning to hurt again as the sun heat up the farther he got into Hell.
Liam ran back to the park, then collapsed onto his bench. It was under a dead tree, but it still provided shade in this fatal heat. He leaned up against the scalding metal and he could hear the low hum of music behind him. He groaned quietly, opening his eyes to greet a blood-red sky, and a boiling sun.
He sighed before heading to his home, it wasn't as clean and perfect as the rest of the angels. he didn't really care anymore though. he sat down on one of the chairs and took off his blindfold sense he was alone for once
Liam stood up again, sweat already rolling down his forehead. God, how he missed the coolness of Heaven already. He groaned from the heat and slowly dragged himself to his own home. He collapsed onto his bed, basically listening to himself sizzle on it as he tried to fall asleep.
Liam was also forced onto the battlefield, and just like Kenyon he was near the back. He could hear the cries of his friends as they hit the floor and turned to ash. They would be reincarnated in a couple of days, but it still hurt regardless. He tried to make his way forward, his tail and horns clearly visible as he struck down a poor, young angel. Then, as blood was running down his face he turned and saw a familiar boy... [b [i K-Kenyon...?"] ]
Liam felt his chest burn with guilt as he ran over to Kenyon. He snarled and shoved his friends away from him. They stared in disbelief but went onto other targets quickly. He then turned and tried to speak, "Kenyon-" He began.
"I-It's Liam! Can't you see m-" He then remembered his horns and tail. He was bound to let them show in pride while fighting so he immediately started to growl again. Another angel was starting to advance on him. He felt a sword brought down on him and he could feel the muscle tear in his shoulder. He snarled as it instantly started to heal, then he glanced at Kenyon.
He scoffed a little. He at least hoped for a little help. He finally struck the angel down and had black blood running down his arm. He tried to chase after Kenyon before he felt somebody grab him and start to drag him towards Heaven. He tried to scream but his voice was drowned out by the screams of retreat. He watched his brothers and sisters in arms run away from him as Angels began dragging him farther and farther away. The more he struggled, the more he hurt and he began to realize his wounds weren't healing... He also realized he was getting colder and colder, until it felt near unbearable for him... yet everybody else seemed un-affected. He was thrown into a cell and he curled up on the floor, trembling from the cold. He coughed a little, his blood had stopped running and his shirt was sticking to the wound. He felt miserable and the word Demon was branded across his wrist again.
After a while Kenyon had managed to figure out what had happened and where Liam was taken. He headed to the prisoners cells and walked inside. even though it was colder then normal he never felt affected by it. the frosty mist spread around each cell as if the mist was how he could see
His eyes were half-open as a small moan of pain left his lips. He began to see mist filling the room and he could feel it's chill already. He tried to pull himself away but he was shaking too badly to move. He swallowed thickly and felt his eyes burning, but he was scared that if he cried his tears would freeze. He even attempted to make flame from his horns, but only mere sparks would appear.
