Whipped Cream yawned as he followed behind Pure Vanilla, who had chosen the dancer as part of their very small, two-Cookie entourage. Whipped Cream had dragged Milk along as well, refusing to be the only Cookie to follow behind the King. Pure Vanilla looked up after a moment, humming as their eyes glimmered. "Hmm..." They hummed slightly, placing their staff on the ground and allowing it to glow as Fire Spirit was revealed. It definitely startled Whipped Cream, but the King seemed quite unphased as Pure Vanilla and Fire Spirit exchanged bows. "Your Majesty." Fire Spirit greeted, Pure Vanilla nodding softly. "Your firey Grace. It's an honor for us to be able to see you, let alone Millennial Tree." They spoke softly, Fire nodding before motioning for them to follow. "Wind Archer! They've arrived!" He called after a little while, Whipped Cream exchanging glances with Milk hesitantly. [Jfc you don't need to play all these characters if you want- /lh]
Millennial Tree was, of course and as per his usual, was at the heart of a thickly lavish and protected forest, at the base of a clearly sacred and plentiful tree. As Milk exchanged his glance with Whipped Cream, Wind Archer hopped out of the aforementioned tree, dressed not in his usual light clothing but his Guardian outfit, having never been one to take other's visits with his father lightly. His eyes swiftly fell upon Whipped Cream; he was familiar with Pure Vanilla and Milk, trusting them both somewhat, Pure Vanilla moreso considering how often the regal figure tended to visit in comparison to others; silently standing between the party of three once they crossed the gates Churro Cookie stood guard at and the nature-based Cookie he swore to protect. Of course, he supplied them with his typical threatening warning, "I will not hesitate to shoot any of you if you so much as think about trying anything violent." Wind Archer hissed out, soon disappearing back into his father's tree and watching them with a hawk-like gaze, keeping a hand on his bow. Once again, he was never one to take visits lightly, as evident by the way Millennial Tree sighed out afterwards. "I apologize for my son, he's often like this, but welcome to my forest. Thank you for escorting my guests to me, Fire Spirit."
[Cannonically Milk was one of the main Cookies who helped the legendaries become de-corrupted- he found the Cookiemals hiding away and brought them to Wind Archer to bring him outta his emo phase hhahhah- figured that'd be important info-]
"Calmly now, old friend, don't worry about it." Pure Vanilla shook their head before bowing it in respect, acknowledging that Millennial Tree was the one in charge now. "You're familiar with my guard, Milk Cookie, and this is Whipped Cream Cookie, one of the best dancers in my kingdom." They motioned to each of the mentioned Cookies in turn, Whipped Cream giving a graceful bow as he hummed out. "Your Majesty." He greeted respectfully, straightening up with a patient hum. He'd heard much about this Cookie from his King's idle chatterings with his advisors and stories to his son, but he never thought that he'd be able to meet the Cookie himself. "I live to serve, it's always a pleasure to dance for royals of any kind." He continued, Pure Vanilla letting out a pleased chuckle as they placed their staff on their back calmly. "And your routines are truly mystical, dear one."
Millennial Tree hummed out softly, a warm smile making its way to his expression upon the introductions he was kindly provided with, lightly laughing at the praise the two gave one another whilst Milk stayed silent, having only respectfully bowed when he was gestured towards. "Your kingdom never ceases to amaze me with having so much talent, Pure Vanilla. At this rate, if they are not already, your fellow ancients are going to get jealous if you aren't careful." He commented, his smile only growing larger with each soft-spoken word he let fall from his mouth. To the surprise of most who didn't know him, the nature Cookie bowed his head down in return; if he was treated with respect, he was going to do the same for his guests, that was all there was to it. "It's an honour to be in the presence of such greatness such as yourselves. It makes me happy to hear you have been blessed with a gift and that you are using it well, Whipped Cream. Ah, though I hope your travels to get here weren't too difficult, my friends."
Whipped Cream hummed gently as he bowed to Millennial Tree, Pure Vanilla settling himself on the ground near the other. Whipped Cream watched for a moment before tilting his head and smiling, "Shall I dance for you, Your Highnesses?" He spoke in a slightly pompous tone, Pure Vanilla nodding and clapping a bit. "Please!" They chirped softly, placing their hands in their lap as they hummed a song to themselves. Whipped Cream took a soft breath before stretching, Pure Vanilla humming as they looked over at Millennial Tree. "Would you mind helping provide us with music, old friend?"
"It would be my pleasure," Millennial Tree spoke out softly with a slight bow of his head, rising to his feet. Walking over to a shrub and delicately pushed the branches aside to reveal, albeit as seemingly random as it was, nothing other than a piano. Given, it visibly was overgrown densely with plantlife and had very active vines coiling around it as a snake would slither, though, with a quiet whisper to said vines, it softly played out a test tune as if it were brand-new. "Is the piano alright for your performance? I can ask my friends to play a different instrument if it's not to your preference, so do let me know." The legend spoke out, returning to where he once sat at the base of the tree, offering up Whipped Cream a considerate smile.
"A piano would be just fine, Your Majesty, classical is traditional for my style of dance." He spoke respectfully in response, bowing his head slightly in thanks before looking towards the other Cookies and smiling. "Any requests for a song or dance?" He asked out as if he was on a stage, as if the whole forest was his audience and giving applause for his appearance onstage. Pure Vanilla smiled but simply folded their hands in their lap, humming quietly and merely waiting for the show to begin. They had no preferences one way or another.
The nature-based legendary gave the question some thought, although it was mostly pausing for consideration of the offer, only to shake his head, careful not to scratch the tree behind him with his two flourishing wooden horns. "Perhaps performer's pick?" Millennial Tree suggested with the same soft smile he had since they had arrived, silently encouraging for the dancer to do whatever his heart so desired, he too resting his hands softly in his lap alongside his friend.
"And the trees, they can hear me? I believe I know the perfect song." Whipped Cream began to smile as he went over to the piano, whispering to them before smiling as the piano began to play out the beginning notes of a song that he commonly used as the song he danced to. His eyes glimmered happily as he took his place, making sure he was comfortable before starting to dance. Oh, how he loved his craft, feeling the way his body moved to the music. It felt amazing to allow himself to dance once again, freely and without care. He moved along with the music like it was natural, swaying and rocking with it like waves along the shore, bringing an innate sense of calm to the area as a few animals began to feel the effects of his lowlevel magic that he let out while dancing.
Millennial smiled more, if that was even possible at that point, relaxing back against the smooth bark of the tree behind him. Milk stood, captivated by the sight, silently questioning how someone could move so naturally and effortlessly as branches twined and spun themselves behind him into the loose form of a seat, courtesy of Millennial who passively and contently watched the performance. Even the nature Cookie's son, still dutifully perched in the majestic tree above, seemed silently and thoughtfully impressed, calmed to a point where his gaze was significantly less sharp- it becoming dull, one might argue. Needless to say, the entire forest's calmed attention was honed in on Whipped Cream at that very moment, enjoying every graceful movement the dancer allowed them to bear witness to.
He raised his arms a bit, holding them out in a fancy flourish as he smiled out kindly. Another small burst of magic came from him, filling the area with a peaceful aura as he let out a soft sigh. Exhaustion was an old friend, and he was used to dealing with it during shows. As soon as the music ended, he took a graceful bow and smiled more. "Thank you all for watching my show! You're all quite darling, I appreciate all of you!" He chirped out in a practiced happy tone, humming to himself before smiling and letting himself wander over to sit near Milk. Pure Vanilla was clearly pleased with themselves, humming lightly. "Well done, Whipped Cream, another amazing performance."
"Quite the amazing performance indeed, you truly are a very talented Cookie, Whipped Cream, and you put your magic to clever use as well." Millenial Tree commented whilst Milk softly clapped for the dancer whilst the other took a seat next to him, offering up a bright and toothy smile, mumbling out his agreeance with those statements in Finnish. "I am convinced you've received the blessing of Moonlight; you carry a very similar elegance as she does." Wind Archer chimed in thoughtfully, earning a surprised glance from his father below before the embodiment of nature itself nodded. "That is true, you move with effortless grace much as she does. It's truly surprising; I wonder, [i has] she given you her blessing?" He inquired curiously.
"Not to my knowledge, Your Grace, I've always been this agile. Not nearly as seamless, mind you, but practice has honed my skills to the finest. Pure Vanilla did choose me as part of their entertainer court, after all." He boasted slightly, although attempting to be humble about it in the presence of almost literal gods.
"Ah, I see. I'll be sure to ask her about you and the Cookies she has blessed thus far the next time I come to see her then; hopefully she will have an answer. Or perhaps she'll come to you in one of her legend-depicted dreams and tell you herself, Moonlight has always been one for flawless timing after all." Millenial Tree spoke with a soft laugh, seeming to be perfectly content right then and there. He seemed to realize something after a moment, however, "You three surely must have fostered up an appetite or grown tired from trekking from your kingdom to get to this forest. Could I offer you a meal or a quiet place to rest?"
"A place to rest would be nice, thank you much, old friend." Pure Vanilla hummed out, glancing between his two ally Cookies for confirmation as Whipped Cream rose to his feet gently. Fire Spirit entered the area with a respectful bow to the more powerful Cookies, placing his staff's tip on the ground as his eyes glowed. "Intruders, My Liege. They're headed for the center Grove." He spoke solemnly, Fig's horn being blown moments later as Fire Spirit sighed. "We need Wind Archer from you, Liege, I'm sorry." His eyes were stony and serious as Pure Vanilla tsked in disappointment, crossing their arms. "That was rude of them. Milk Cookie, would you go with them?"
"Of course, right away!" Milk answered rapidly, not needing to be asked twice as he hopped to his feet and scooped up his shield, the ranger perched in the tree hopping out of it and landing next to the firey Cookie without as much as a comment. It was rare for Fire Spirit to take things seriously, he knew that much from having been around him for so long. "We'll be back, but for the time being, please stay here; I'll ask Churro to look after you on my way out." Wind Archer calmly stated, drawing out his bow before gesturing for Fire Sprit to lead him and Milk out of the grove to where the intruders were. "Oh dear, more fallen spirits attacking, I wonder?..." Millennial Tree asked aloud to himself, softly sighing soon after as he stood up and dusted himself off, softly redirecting his focus as he spoke once more, "I trust they'll take care of things. Here, please allow me to show you both to your own rooms so that you may be able to at least relax a little in the comfort of a bed."
Whipped Cream seemed a bit confused, but walked alongside his King and the king of the forest. He hummed lightly as he put his arms around himself, looking back to where Milk, Fire Spirit and Wind Archer had gone. "...Will they be okay?" He asked after a moment, Pure Vanilla putting their hand on the dancer's shoulders. "Calm down, dear one. They'll be alright."
"They are dutiful to their protecting tasks and are plentifully skillful at it like you are with dancing, my friend. They will be just fine," The nature Cookie offered out in addition with a soft-spoken voice, attempting to ease Whipped Cream's worries alongside his friend. He offered up a small smile as well, leading the two behind the grand tree they were once in front of to a temple-like building that had been perfectly obstructed from view due to the forestry. While it wasn't as large as Pure Vanilla's castle, it certainly held the same luxurious flare despite being covered in freely moving plants, as if they were genuinely alive, of various kinds. He showed them to a hallway labelled respectfully in Indonesian with "Kamar Tamu", lightly gesturing down it, "You may choose whichever rooms your heart fancies; they are all the same here aside from the amount of sunlight each receives."
"I'm sure I speak for both of us when I say it's very much appreciated, old friend." Pure Vanilla spoke gently, urging the dancer forward first and allowing Whipped Cream to choose his room. He eventually chose one with low-ish sunlight, looking around it before stretching and closing the door behind him as Pure Vanilla moved and went into one with a relatively nice amount of sunlight. It just left Millennial Tree to his own devices now.
Millennial Tree bid the two a gentle goodbye before returning to the literal Millennial tree and quietly asking for his plants to spin some vinyl into a record player, peacefully listening to the music that played out of it in order to pass the time. Much like a tree, he didn't need sleep, only ever truly needing sunlight and water if he were being honest, so he happily spent his forever unending waking hours simply listening and thinking as he usually did, slowly needing to shake off the feeling he had once prior seen Whipped Cream dance to the very song that had played earlier. Just as he decided to blame it on an overactive imagination or a dream he once had, Milk, Churro, Wind Archer, and Fire Spirit had all returned without as much as a scratch on their heads. Whether that was due to Milk having healed them prior was beyond the knowledge of the great tree, but he stood to welcome them back with a smile.
Fire Spirit seemed to have gotten his jovial attitude back, patting the fair-haired healer on the back with a pleasant chuckle as he grinned. "Well done, and well-met, my friend!" He chirped easily, grinning at him. "You did well, Pure Vanilla will be proud of you!" Churro took his place back at the entrance of the centre grove, Fire Spirit giving Wind Archer a bit of a headbonk before going ahead and going back to his patrols around. Whipped Cream had decided to leave his room to explore, looking to his friend before smiling and coming up to Milk. "Was it fun? I'm sure it must've been amazing to see some of the legendary Cookies fighting alongside you." Millennial Tree had seemed familiar to the dancer in the same way that you'd recognize a friend from a dream, but he kept looking back towards the other Cookie curiously. [i Had] Moonlight Cookie blessed him, and had he seen Millennial Tree before?
"It was amazing! They're as strong as myth has it!" Milk chirpily answered with a bright grin, doing his best to stay warm and positive despite his mild exhaustion from the fight. Millennial Tree seemed to quickly catch that little factor, however, silently motioning for Wind Archer to show him to a room who did so quickly after, promptly whisking away Milk with him to the hidden-away temple. "He must be tired, we should let him sleep." Millennial Tree simply explained, reclaiming his seat at the base of the grand tree behind him, humming out for a moment. "Though, if you don't mind, I must ask you a question that has been on my mind lately, my friend." He respectfully paused a moment before continuing on, "Have we met prior to today? You're very familiar; deja-vu inducing, even. My memory mustn't be the best at the moment, as I can't quite tell...."
"Not to my knowledge, Your Grace." Whipped Cream answered as respectfully as he could, deciding to stretch a little bit while he had the chance. "You seem familiar as well, but I can't for the life of me tell where I've seen you before. I have seen depictions of you in places, but it doesn't feel as...unfamiliar as that." He played with his hands gently.
Millennial Tree hummed out once again, falling into considerate thought as he quietly pondered for an explanation to their reciprocated deja-vu-like feelings. It took a moment, but he came up with a reasonable answer, although to confirm it required the presence of another legendary Cookie, who was currently quite the opposite of being present. Gracefully rising to his feet, Millennial Tree walked over to the guarded gates of the grove, calmly instructing Churro to tell Fire Spirit to fetch Moonlight for him before returning to the majestic tree; he never left it for longer than he had to. "Moonlight shall provide us with answers to our questions soon, I believe."
[I can play moonlight if you don't wish to- just givin' you the chance to if you'd like ta :))]
Whipped Cream happily nodded and decided to practice a few dances he'd been meaning to try, humming to himself and going back to his graceful dancing. It didn't take long for Moonlight to appear, coming into the grove and glancing between them before curtsying calmly. "I was summoned for?" She spoke quietly, looking up at Millennial Tree curiously as she crossed her arms slightly.
"Merely a few simple questions, we won't take up much of your time." He answered with a respectful bow of his head, allowing a vine to coil around his hand as others spun themselves together in the form of chairs, in case either of the two wished to sit on something other than the emerald grass below their feet. "Wind Archer and I both agreed earlier that Whipped Cream here has more than plentiful talent in terms of dance than most Cookies, so I myself was wondering if you had possibly blessed him?" Millennial Tree asked out, deciding to take it one question at a time considering he only had two.
Whipped Cream happily sat on the chair that was made out of vines, seeming supremely comfortable on them as Moonlight delicately took a seat as well. "Well, yes. I saw his dream of becoming a dancer and thought it admirable." She spoke softly and simply, humming to herself while folding her hands in her lap delicately. "Is that a problem, old Tree?" She hummed out, raising an eyebrow at Millennium Tree.
"Oh dear, no, no, not at all! If anything, it makes me happy you found someone to bless with gifts," Millennial said truthfully with a light laugh, waving off the almost accusation with it. "Though, that is not all I wish to ask. The dreamworld is part of your domain much like magic, is it not? I was also wondering, is it possible if our friend here and myself to have met in one of your precious dreams? We both feel as if we know each other somehow, but cannot explain as to where, or even how in my case, we could have met."
"Perhaps. I have many dreams per night you know, I do not always keep track of who is in them. I do seem to recall that you two dreamed at the same time one night during the blessing, I suppose I could have connected your dreams without meaning to. After all, he was dreaming of dancing, and you began to dream of his dance soon after." Moonlight explained gently, making Whipped Cream's eyes widen a bit. "Ohh..."
The Millennial Tree hummed out in understandment, nodding in the same manner with a soft smile. "I see, that makes more sense than what I could have thought up. Thank you for explaining that to us. I do believe that is all we need you for, unless Whipped Cream would like to ask a few questions himself?" He prompted, looking to the dancer and giving him an opportunity to speak and ask whatever he wished if he so much as wanted to.
