Ever since Samantha was little. She knew she was different. Every time she lost her temper, she would make things shatter with her mind. Sometimes she would make things move, and grow. It was something that scared her parents as well. Their daughter was different, and they couldn't change that. When she was five years old, they had her powers bound. They wanted her to grow up as a normal girl, and didn't want people teasing her. They had gone to one of her great grandmother's in Salem Massachusetts, and had her powers bound until she was eighteen years old. Only then would she be able to get them back, and find out who she really was, and what her family really did.

On the night of her eighteenth birthday, was when she had gotten her powers back. She didn't know what was happening, and the pain shooting though her body told her something was happening. When she finally came too a couple of hours later, everything was different. She felt slightly different, and her parents had a look on their face she thought was weird. She asked them about it, and they told her who and what she really was. She was a witch. She had powers that she couldn't control when she was a child, and they had bound her powers when she was little. Her mother drew out a box, and showed her everything she could. Samantha didn't know how to react to it. She didn't know what to say, and she didn't know how to handle it. She called her parents liars, and that was when she up and left. She didn't care, she felt like her whole life had been a lie.

When Samantha found her grandmother a couple of cities over, was when she fully broke down. She told her grandmother everything and the older woman tried to comfort her the best she could. She started telling Samantha the stories of her ancestors. The witch trials, the burning's, everything. At first Samantha didn't want to believe it, but deep down she knew she didn't have a choice. Witch blood ran though her veins, and she had to embrace it, otherwise her whole world would come crashing down around her. In a way it already was, but she wasn't about to let that be known. She spent weeks on end with her grandmother going though spell books, and seeing what kind of spells she could do. She avoided her parents, and didn't want anything to do with them at the moment. She only cared about doing what she should have been doing all of her life. She had so much to learn, and catch up on.

As her grandmother was showing her how to control her elemental powers, Male Three was entering their little town of Maine, and trying to find Samantha. He didn't know anything about her, but when he had been little his parents had told him stories about witches in the area. He had been raised as a witch hunter, and he was a killer. He couldn't back out from killing witches. It made his stomach turn just thinking about it, but deep down he hadn't wanted this life. He wanted to be normal, and have a girlfriend, and friends and go to high school, and college. He wasn't allowed to do any of that though. He had other things to worry about, and his parents weren't going to take no for an answer. He did it to please his parents, even though it killed him every time he had to kill someone with powers. He had a feeling he was killing, and they had been normal. They didn't have powers like his parents had thought.

As he was getting closer to where Samantha and her grandmother were practicing, something seemed to spark inside of him. Something felt slightly off, but good at the same time. Someone was using magic, and this time he wasn't about to let that feeling slip away. It was like an arrow inside of him was leading him somewhere. He had to follow it, he couldn't hide it anymore. Samantha and her grandmother decided it was time to go out into the world, and get herbs and spices for some of the bigger spells. Samantha was getting better and better with controlling her powers, and she was learning about more of her family. She knew she had been special all of her life, she just hadn't realized how special she was. She wasn't about to let this get in her way though. She was happy, and she was finally feeling like she could do something good with her life. That's when she saw her parents, and she didn't want anything to do with them. She hated them, and they saw the look on her face.

They left, and that's when Samantha knew, she was really on her own. She couldn't be more happy either. That's when she felt something inside of herself. Something she didn't realize she had been feeling for a while. It was like an arrow spinning inside of her, and she looked around herself. That's when her eyes fell on Male Three, she asked her grandmother what was going on. Her grandmother didn't even know, but told Samantha to follow that feeling. That's what she did. The moment they first stopped in front of each other, it was like something had sparked between them. There was something there, and they both felt it. Will Male Three be able to kill Samantha? Will Samantha be able to control her powers enough to escape? Or will they fall in love? Only we can decide what their outcome can be.

[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 It's been years since the night her powers were taken away from her. [google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 She pushed herself up and grabbed her gloves and slid them on. [b "I have a small list, it's mostly herbs I need for potions, and I need you to pick up some crystal's as well"] she cooed. Samantha rolled her eyes lightly at the older woman.]]

[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 She loved her grandmother more than anything, but sometimes she questioned herself on this. [google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 The joys of living so close to town was she could walk there. She was about five minutes away from town, so she picked up her pace a little bit.]]

[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 She put the headphone back in, and kept walking. The feeling never leaving her. She picked up her pace even more, and when she entered town the feeling seemed to ease up a little bit. She hurried to the first shop she saw, and ducked her head. She stayed in the small shop for the time being, just to play it safe.]]

[b "Don't flinch son, you can't show any weakness,"] he heard his father bark at him as he fought the urge to let his lunch loose all over the ground beneath him. Myles had always hoped that his parents might spare him from the hunter life but honestly a part of him always knew that was a wishful thought. His father had made his whole life purpose being a witch hunter and couldn't fathom he son wanting something different. The boy hated the smell of death but his father had dragged him along. Like a typical twelve year old boy all he wanted was to be playing outside since it was the first nice day this month not holed up watching fire sear away the last of the remains of what was a witch. [+teal "Who would be witnessing my weakness right now anyways?"] he asked his voice barely above a whisper.

His father nonetheless heard him, [b "You sometimes never know when another is lurking around,"] he stated then said nothing else like that settled it. Growing up he had always been told stories about witches. How they sometimes tried to live among the regular humans but as his parents always said that was just so it was easier to harm the humans with their magic or elixirs. He knew not to push his father any further. It wouldn't improve anything, in fact one time he had made the mistake of asking if his parents were sure that the people they killed were witches. He never asked that again. He just kept the question bottled up inside without an answer.

Myles followed his father away from the scene and back towards the pickup truck they had arrived in. His mother came out only after she put out the fire. She brought out the blade she had used as well which he had noticed was now clean. He shuddered in his seat as he waited for both of them to buckle up as well.

He watched as the scene disappeared behind them. Heart racing he forced his eyes closed making silent prayers that somehow his parents would abandon their desires for this life for him. Prayers he knew were pointless. His life had been planned before he had even started to talk. Just like his other siblings had gone on to be hunters he was expected to as well even if he was a slow learner as his father liked to call him.

[center [b [i The Present]]]

[b [i "Did you make sure to take all the information with you?"]] he heard his mother ask over the phone. Myles rolled his eyes holding the phone between his face and shoulder as he unlocked the door to the cabin he was renting for the time being. [+teal "Yes Mother,"] he sighed in response, [+teal "And you are positive this witch is... here?"] he asked taking in his surroundings. He had recently arrived in this rural Maine town just for the sake of mission. His parents had gone on and on about how a dangerous young witch was here. How it had taken them years to find her.

Now they had and apparently this was to be his first solo mission. How he loathed the thought of it. Months of praying that he would somehow be able to convince his parents to let him go to take some college classes down the drain. He had even worked out a convincing enough story as to why he should be allowed. He planned to studying subjects that he could convince his parents were to help with being a hunter.

At least he was far from them for awhile, [b [i "Yes, she is there. Remember, don't let your guard down- she may look like a peer but she is highly dangerous,"]] he heard his mom warn. [+teal "Yes okay, talk to you later when I have a report."] he responded before quickly hanging up. He tossed the phone on the bed before running a hand through his hair. Now it was time to figure out where to start.

She sighed lightly as she heard her order being called. She stood and went to the counter. She thanked the waiter and took her food back to her table. She sat down and started to eat. [google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 She had grown up listening to the stories, but she didn't really believe them. When they were killed, she felt like her whole world had come crashing down around her. She felt lost, alone, scared, that she didn't matter to anyone. That had been when her grandmother had taken her in. She was glad the older woman did, because now she had a roof over her head.]]

[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 As she sat there eating, she heard people whispering behind her. [b "I heard she's the one that killed her own parents. That's why she was sent to live here. [#FF9797 "How could I have killed my own parents? I was nothing but a baby when it happened. So explain that one. I don't even remember them"] she snapped.]]

[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 The two women sitting there narrowed their eyes at her, and then turned their noses up towards her. She rolled her eyes and turned back in her seat. She was getting tired of people blaming her. It wasn't really her fault. Was it? Now that she was really thinking about it, maybe it was her fault. She sighed lightly as she looked down at the plate in front of her. She all of a sudden wasn't hungry anymore. She pushed the plate away and rested her chin in her hands. That's when another female came to her table and sat down.]]

[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 [b "Hi, I'm Danielle and I heard what you said to those bitches behind you. Sam was a little surprised to see another female sitting in front of her. It took her a moment to process what she even said. When the words finally sank in, she shrugged her shoulders lightly. [#FF9797 "I honestly could careless"] she admitted, which was true. She didn't care.]]

[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 [b "You might say that now, but you might regret that later. I know you are new to town, so if you'd like I can show you around"] she offered. Sam had a feeling if she told this woman no, she wouldn't hear the end of it. [#FF9797 "Sure, I'd really like that. My name's Samantha"] she said offering her hand. The two shook hands and Danielle broke out into a smile. Sam might have made a new friend, so maybe now she wouldn't feel so alone in this God forsaken town.]]

He worked to place the strange feeling that seemed to overwhelm his senses as he walked through the town. It was almost felt like something was pulling him further into town. But not like intuition, more like something was actually pulling him towards town. It unsettled him slightly, he was not used to this feeling. His family members had sometimes talked about knowing in their bones when a witch was around but Myles had never had that sense. He was pretty sure this wasn't it though. He didn't feel a need to hunt whatever was drawing him in, rather he felt a sense of curiousness.

As he made his way into the town he spotted whispering faces almost anywhere he looked. It made sense though, it was a small community a newcomer was bound to make waves of some sort. He sighed stuffing his hands into his coat pockets as he made his way towards what appeared to be the local library. He figured it was as good a place as any to start his search. There would be records of past newspapers and maybe he would be able to find some mention of anything suspicious.

Before he could even step inside the library doors he saw a small shop across the street. Myles wasn't really sure why he was so drawn to the shop but he couldn't stop his feet from moving. He hadn't even registered that he opened the door until he heard the small jingle of the door closing behind him. Some of the patrons that were already inside looked up from their coffees before deciding he was harmless and looking back down.

Myles' eyes scanned around the room before falling on two women that were seated at their own table. His eyes locked onto one of the women in particular. It was like he couldn't tear his eyes away from her even though he knew staring at a complete stranger- no matter how attractive she was- was weird as hell. He fought against the strange urge to talk to the woman knowing that his family would probably not approve of him talking to a random woman when he was on a mission.

Forcing himself to tear his gaze away he walked to the counter. [+teal "I'll just get a small coffee to go,"] he said to the waiter at the counter. He took his card out to pay and stood to the side waiting for his order which didn't take too long to come out.
