It was a Wednesday.

It was a dark and dreary Wednesday night which took the breath away of a woman who knew darkness like the back of her hand.
Eyes peered out through a round edged window that was earlier covered by the deepest red velvet curtain, while the sounds of horses hooves and wheels gliding along the road, ran rampant in her ears, while leading them to an abode that would harbor herself and a few others for a small amount of time.

[i "I like the night. Without the dark, we'd never see the stars. The darker the night, the brighter the stars, it's as close as to the day as we might get...."] the woman spoke as she continued to pay attention on the outside landscape.

It was a dark and dreary night indeed, but Odette could see plain as the sun shone.

[i "The more I think about it, the more I feel I have made a grave mistake.."]
[b "The choice you have made, is the right choice for our colony. Our wide family need this equality between the two houses. Yours and his. Romanian, he may be, an enemy he is, but we need to make amends."]
[i "It still does not feel right.."] Odette spoke once more, finally turning away from the window and stared upon her Advisor. Her dear friend, the very first she had turned in her 402 years of walking this earth.

[b "He has agreed to meet with you without malice and that is a start. The arrangement of your marriage will be spoken to later, but in the mean time, amends must be made."]
[i "I have not needed a man for, four centuries. This is ... all...overwhelming."]
[b "Of course it is, but do not think about it. It will all be fine, trust it and me..."] he spoke before looking down and opened a human skin bound book, reading delicate information before speaking out once again [b "His second in command will meet us in Vienna, halfway and he will take us the remainder of the way. We should be in Vienna in, 2 hours..."]

Odette nodded and turned back to the window, pushing the curtain out off to the side and remained seated to endure those 2 hours and ever minute that went by, she became more and more anxious.

Her life and her Covern were at stake. The last thing she needed was a war, so this meeting had to go smoothly.
Best behavior to match her very breath taking appearance.

A Queen of 5'6 stature with curves in all the right places which were shown off by the corseted attire she tended to wear.
Long delicate brown hair that was often in bouncy curls when let down, but no one saw, due to the strands always being pinned up. The length of her hair always remained a mystery as no one had ever seen it unpinned.
Eyes, emerald.
Lips, pouty and dusty rose pink.
Skin, alabaster and perfect.

Not a single imperfection, which was a given for someone who was dead...well un-dead as civilians tended to speak of them.

A long 2 hours later, they had arrived.

The coach came to a complete stop in Vienna, under the moonlight.

Due the length of the trip, as it would come close to morning, they would need to find solace for the day before heading out once again, but for now, Odette was soon to be greeted by  member of a Covern that was nothing but the enemy.

[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 Night had finally fallen and Vincent was finally able to walk freely. He'd been in his bed chambers [i awake] for the longest time now. He'd been waiting for the sun to fully set so he could leave the chambers without his skin burning. There was a knock on the door, and without him answering the door opened. [b "It's almost time to go and meet Odette"] his best friend, and boss said. Vincent rolled his eyes lightly. [#D1B419 "Do you really want me to go and meet the bitch?"] he asked. A small smirk passed over Dominick's lips.]]

[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 [b "This is why you and I get along so well. Yes, you have to go and meet my [i wife] half way. I'm not too happy about it, because I haven't needed a woman in my life for the longest time. I don't trust anyone else but you to do this"] Dominick said clapping Vincent on the shoulder. The male rolled his eyes once more. [#D1B419 "I really don't want to do this, and I wish you didn't trust me so much to do so"] he admitted. Dominick let out a low chuckle just then.]]

[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 [b "If you didn't want me trusting you this much, you shouldn't have shown me how trustworthy you are"] he said with a grin. Vincent knew Dominick was right. He had shown the male over and over how trustworthy he was. He didn't want too, but he had. He blew out a small huff of breath as he looked towards the window. He knew he had to get a move on, and soon. He didn't want to be late meeting the new bride of Dominick. He stood from the chair he had been sitting in, and went to the closet.]]

[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 [b "You do know, you could have been the one getting married instead of me"] the other offered up. Vincent looked towards the other and rolled his eyes. [#D1B419 "You know I'm not the marrying type"] he said back. He wasn't into dating, or settling down. At least not yet. It's been over five hundred years since he had been changed, and he hadn't found the perfect one quite yet. He had his whole life still. Then again he was still hung up on Miranda. The woman he had loved so long ago.]]

[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 Thinking about the woman made the male wish he had ended his life the night Dominick turned him. He shook his head as he looked at his life long friend. [#D1B419 "I'll go and collect her for you"] he said. Dominick smiled his thanks, and soon Vincent was pulling on his cloak and heading out of his bed chambers, and towards the stables. He stopped long enough to look up towards the night sky, and realized it was cloudy out. Maybe they would get a storm finally. It's been a couple of weeks since their last one.]]

[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 He opened the stable doors and his white mare huffed when she heard him coming. [#D1B419 "Are you ready to go my love?"] he asked rubbing her muzzle. The horse let out another huff and kicked her foot, letting him know that yes she was ready to go. He went and got her saddle, and tack. Along with whatever else he would need. Soon she was ready to go, and he slid himself into the saddle and was on his way. The wind flew past him as he let Star run as fast as she wanted.]]

[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 Soon he was at the meeting spot, and he spotted Odette and her escort arriving as well. He nodded towards them both. [#D1B419 "Just follow me, and you'll be led to your chambers as well. By the time we get back to the castle it will be right before dawn"] he said. He didn't say anything more as he turned Star around, and headed back the way he had come. He didn't even bother talking to the woman. At least not right away. When they finally arrived to the Castle, there was Colton waiting for them outside.]]

[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 [b "I know it's been a long trip for you my lady. Your bed chambers are ready for you, and you will be seeing Dominick tonight"] he said as he led her inside. Vincent on the other hand had stolen a quick glance at the woman, and something seemed to spark within him. She was beautiful. He wondered if he could keep her up a while longer, but knew better than that. He hurried and put the horses into the stable, and then made his way back into the castle, and back to his bed chambers. Thinking about the beautiful woman the whole entire time. Wishing he had taken the time to speak to her, and regretting the fact he didn't.]]

The road and the blasted trip from her home too, perhaps her new found one was taking longer than she had wanted.
Sure, Odette knew the length and the miles she would have to travel, but why did this seem to be drawn out?
It was funny on how the mind worked; the shortest trip could make itself out to be the longest.
Wasn't it strange that trips would take forever to get to the destination but too travel home, it seemed to of flew by?

All Odette said in her mind while those eyes stared out the window were - [i kill me, kill me....kill me.] What a pity it was that she was already dead.
What a pity.

[i Whoaaa...] - a single, dislocated voice from the outside mumbled as the horses and the carriage slowed down before coming to a complete stop.
Odette raised a single eyebrow and shifted from her seat, opened the door and stepped out.

A man appeared in her presence.
A single man who looked cold and calculated.
A man who refused to look at her but simple opened his mouth and spoke words that were to be followed.

They were to begin their way once again and soon reach the Castle way before dawn, he would escort them but all Odette could do was simply sigh and get back into the carriage.

[b "This trip....never again..."] she muttered to her dearest friend who spoke nothing, clearly getting the idea of her frustration way before they arrived at the Castle.

The structure was truly glorious.
Old and ever so gothic, with statues of gargoyles and the most furious looking demon that sat upon the pyres.
Getting herself together, Odette soon exited from the carriage and was soon welcomed by several people.

The very handsome and cold, calculated man was no where to be seen which only seemed to entice her mind more than she would of liked.

Odette did not see him leer for a fraction of a moment before leaving to put his very beloved Horse away.

[i "I know it's been a long trip for you my lady. Your bed chambers are ready for you, and you will be seeing Dominick tonight"]

[b "I will not be seeing his Lord, tonight. I am tired. I have had a long ...long, bumpy and uncomfortable trip and I would like to get some rest. I'm sure he would understand, and If he didn't....well....I'm sure you can figure it out..] Odette spoke to silence.

It was not long until the Queen was escorted inside the warmly lit Castle and was shown her Chambers, up flights of stairs and bendy hallways. Eyes of paintings, seemed too of watched Odette ever so carefully as she was allowed in her room to rest, just as she had requested.

No Dominick on that night.

Perhaps no Dominick on the other nights to come, but who was she kidding?

Standing by the end of her bed, Odette's emerald green eyes looked around her Chambers while her hands slowly undid the clasp of her cloak and removed it from that body that people spoke of.
With the cloak on the bed, Odette sighed and began to wader through the room, touching the polished wooden furniture, the cushioned padding of the couch before turning and glancing at the bed.

A bed that she would sleep in.
A bed that would entertain her soon to be partner in her forever life, Dominick.

Or would it be?

Odette's mind trailed to the man who was rude enough not to speak to Royalty.

[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 While Vincent was putting his horse back into the stable for the day, he could hear what was being said. A small smirk passed over the man's lips. Did she really think they meant she would be seeing him right now. [b "My Lady, you won't be seeing him this very moment. He, himself had a lot of things to do anyway. When I say tonight, it means when the sun sets tonight"] the mane said. Vincent couldn't help but chuckle a little bit. God she thought was entitled. If Dominick wanted to see her, he would.]]

[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 Dominick wasn't one to take orders, and that woman better learn her place and soon. Dominick wasn't one to be pushed over the edge either. When Vincent was finally finished he walked out of the stables and looked up towards the castle. It was a beautiful sight to see in the moonlight. His trip had been long, and he was getting a bit tired himself. Even though he was a demon, he could easily walk among the daylight, but he wouldn't do that to Dominick. Thinking about the male, he knew he had to go and report to him.]]

[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 He made his way into the castle and bowed his head towards the other's there. He then went to find his good friend. [google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 [#D1B419 "Yes. When Godric said she would be meeting you tonight, she pretty much told him straight up no"] he said. He could tell it was getting to Dominick. [b "She's pretty much a guest in my home right now, and if I had needed to see her, she would have been brought here first, and not led to her bed chambers"] he growled out. Vincent knew that was a touchy subject just then. He could tell his friend was rethinking all of this. He hoped the man would back out of it. He didn't want to piss the other off though.]]

[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 [#D1B419 "Yes I know that. She acts so stuck up, it's really getting under my skin. I don't know how you are going to having her as a wife"] he admitted. Dominick looked towards the other and shook his head. [b "I'm starting to rethink that honestly"] he admitted. That's what Vincent wanted to hear. He wanted to hear that his best friend wouldn't go through with it, but he knew better than that. His mind did wander to Odette though. She was beautiful, even though she was a bitch.]]

[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 He could see himself getting to know her, maybe in more ways than one. He didn't know where that thought had come from, and he shook his head to clear it. [#D1B419 "It's almost dawn though, it's time you and I head to bed"] he said as he stood. Dominick nodded lightly as he gathered up his things and put them all away. The two then walked the dark halls to Dominick's chambers first. Vincent bowed and then left the other alone. He then made his way to his own bed chambers. He walked passed Odette's bed chambers and paused.]]

[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 He stood there looking at the closed door, wondering what she would do if he just walked in. He thought about it, but fought the urge to do so. He then turned and made his way down the hall once more. He slipped into his own chambers, shut the door tightly behind him, changed out of his clothes, made sure the curtain's were drawn tightly shut, and slipped into bed. He slid his hand behind his head, looked up at the posts above him and laid there, trying to get Odette off his mind.]]

Dawn approached.
It had to be one of the very things in life that she had missed the most; the warmth of the sun, when everything shone bright and the heat would penetrate her skin and make her cold blood warm.
Never again would Odette see the light of day along with the clear beauty of the world she lived in.

Candles that flickered were her only source of light and comfort. The homely ambiance cast a orange glow around her room that her Majesty was to stay in, until she left and it was not what she expected; then again, anything was better than sharing Dominick's bed at that point.

With the curtains drawn shut securely, her life still in complete darkness, Odette raised herself up from the cushioned stool that sat before a table.
Long brown strands of hair hung down in loose waves, free from pins and decorative pieces, face free of the paint that made her feel somewhat alive while upon her smooth, alabaster skin rested a white silk night dress that dragged along the floor as she walked. Straps thing like spaghetti upon her shoulder, easy enough to push down or break.

This time of day herself and many creatures like her would be asleep, dreaming of the night, however in this case, Odette found herself unable to sleep. Perhaps it was the anxiety of being in a place so unfamiliar. Perhaps it was her longing hatred of Dominick ......or maybe, it was she could not remove a certain man from her mind.

A man she wanted to watch wander the room as she bathed, who would stroke her hair while the two laid in bed.

Stepping across the room, Odette approached her door and opened it up just a crack to ensure it was all dark, locked up with no sign of the sun she wanted to know.
As the coast was clear, the Queen bit her lower lip and stepped out into the hallway and began to wander up the way.

It was a beautiful thing how the body worked, eyes adjusted to the night pretty quick but for Odette, it was constant. She viewed the night just as great as one would in the light.
Barefoot, it was not long until she approached a room that was lit by a fire. Away from Dominick room but short enough travel of her own and a so called man.
A large room filled with books, two couches of shiny leather by a rectangular table, while in a corner rested a grand piano with a candelabra resting on the surface.

Giving off a smile, Odette looked around before stepping inside and took a seat upon the velvet stood, dainty toes meeting with the pedals while her fingers gently touched the ivory black and white keys.

For the first time in the hours she had been here, Odette found herself immersed in joy.
Pushing down on the keys, the piano came to life and sung out tunes. Different tones and when placed together, Odette created hauntingly beautiful music.

A slow rhythm to begin with
Slow and steady as Odette felt the piano and listened to it sing, knowing what it could do before finally going faster with her fingers.
Up and down on the keys, fast...faster then slower; all the while her eyes closed completely entranced with the music.

Body moving back and forth on the stool slowly.
Long hair slipping from her shoulder to her back while her toes and feet played with the pedals.

He was loyal to Dominick, but he hadn't been with a woman for years. Something about Odette was drawing him in as well. He sighed as he took a seat next to her.]]

He felt like he was already over stepping a line by sitting right next to her, but he didn't care. He then remembered the real reason as to why he was here. He cocked his head towards the woman beside him, and took a better look at her.]]

[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 [#D1B419 "That melody you were playing, is it something you created, or was it something you heard years ago? Everyone was in their own chambers, and they were the only two out and about when they shouldn't be.]]
MeisjeKellyOdette -   90d ago

It perhaps was the only time in her life when Odette felt human again; sitting by a piano, feeling the smoothness of ivory elephant keys and letting the music sink in to her very bones.
The piano keys were black and white, but they sounded like a million colors in her mind.

Many years had passed since that fateful night that turned her into who she was and playing a tune was the only thing she could remember from her past life.

As for the piano, the faster her fingers flew over it, the more she became marveled. Odette struck the keys with aplomb and ran from one end of the board to the other without a stop which only caused a greater tune that caught the ears of a curious man, a man she did think about that very dawn filled morning.

Ha.
It seemed that the piano had removed him from her mind, for a wonderful, filled moment.
Slowing down, gently Odette's fingers tapped on the keys one at a time, slower and a lot more gentle to where she only started to tap - opening her eyes as she could sense a presence close; a single different feeling than she felt when she first entered the empty room. It had since come inhabited by not one person, but now two.

Spine straightened, Odette looked in front while still playing before looking back down, hearing a voice that she sighed over.
The fantasy of no longer thinking about this man was over.

[i "I see you found the piano"]
[b "It is quite an impressive instrument to not have found...."] Odette muttered softly, fingers still tapping at the keys [b "Especially in a room such as this.."]
[i "This was the place you are going to meet Dominick this evening"]
[b "Lucky me."]

Removing both hands from the board, Odette leaned back and turned her head - watching ever so intently at the man who took whatever breath she had left away, allowing him to look at her in a way that roused her curiosity before actually letting the male take a seat.

[b "I won't be staying long.."]

His name was Vincent Prince.
A trusted, loyal second hand man to a King she was to marry in order to form a equal and neutral alliance.
How complicated this was going to be.

Odette remained quiet.

Eyes of emerald green kept watched and refused to look away as Vincent remained seated beside the body of a Queen. There was no need for her to open her mouth and speak who she was as it was clear Vincent already knew who her name, who she was and a very clear view on her demeanor and yet ..... when he spoke on the music, Odette felt compelled to reply.

[i "That melody you were playing, is it something you created, or was it something you heard years ago? Because it was beautiful, but it sounded really lonely"]

Odette gave off a smile and broke the gaze from Vincent only to look back down at her hands that moved up once again and rested upon the keys.

[b "Bach. A very...very romantic and passionate composer. There is just something about that peice that makes me feel human again, its a memory. It's all I have left..."] she spoke softly, tapping the keys before clicking her tongue, clearing her throat and lent back to snap out of her musical gaze.

It was past her bed time and she was being a sticky nose and being rude with playing with another man's musical equipment.

[b "I should probably head to bed, try to get sleep. And do not worry about being how you were. If I was in your shoes, id be just as defensive and protective.."]

He was beautiful.
Ever so irritatingly handsome, even more so in a dimly lit room, together....alone, when really they shouldn't be.
Odettes voice was softer than usual.

For anyone to know they were awake would cause gossip.
It was as if it was a whisper as she turned her head while seated - looking at Vincent.

[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 [#D1B419 "So let me ask you this. Why are you here? Do you really want to marry Dominick?"] he asked. He had a feeling that question wasn't something he should have asked, but he was curious to know what was on her mind. He thought about reaching out and touching her hand, but kept his hands in his lap. Soon enough he finally stood and started to pace back and forth. He knew he was doing something wrong, and he just hoped that if word got back to Dominick, he would listen to everything he had to say.]]

[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 [#D1B419 "I'm sorry if I said something wrong. I know I shouldn't even be alone with you right now. I'll take you back to your bed chambers now though"] he said as he stopped pacing around. He then held his arm out towards her, and waited for her to stand. At least he wasn't breaking any other rules. At least ones he didn't know of. He fell silent, and waited for her to say something, or tell him she would be find going alone. At least he was trying to be a gentleman.]]
MeisjeKellyOdette -   84d ago

He was ever so beautiful.

The way he spoke, his voice just as much as he smelled simply took her breath away and Odette could not stand it.
What was it about this man that she hard knew that made her feel the way she did?
What was the way she felt?

In all pure honesty, never had Odette had the inkling of the feeling that took hold of her body, she simply not could make wind of it as it got deeper and deeper within the bones.

Questions had been asked by Vincent that partially made Odette bite her lower lip on thinking on how to answer.
There were only a few memories she could remember of her past human life.
Playing the piano, the smell of her mother and the pain of turning from a sun loving woman, to a creature of darkness.

No matter how hard Odette had tried, she could never fully remember anything else, it was heart breaking.
Perhaps herself and Vincent were not all that different.

Vincent's voice became softer as Odette looked down and continued to play around with the ivory keys that would sing, however the time came where she stopped upon hearing a question that took her by surprise.
Turning her head, Odette's beautiful emerald green eyes stared upon the most intoxicating man and remained silent for a few moments.
Was she to lie?
Was she to speak the truth?

Odette was promised to another man but she did want to marry him?

[b "No."]

The response was quick, blunt but it was the truth.

[b "I will not lie. No, I do not wish to marry Dominick, however I am left with no choice.."] she spoke once again, watching as Vincent moved from the seat they were both planted upon and he began to pace the room.

Did he feel the longing and the ache like she did?

[b "I need to do this for my coven, my people back in Paris. To keep things calm and create unity between us. I do not love Dominick, I want love in my life but I do not want my people to suffer, they are more important..."]

[i "I'm sorry if I said something wrong. I know I shouldn't even be alone with you right now. I'll take you back to your bed chambers now though"]
[b "You haven't done anything wrong and Dominick will not know of this. I will not speak of it..."]

Odette's eyes looked at Vincent's arm outstretched, awaiting for her to take hold and to stand up and she did - slowly.
Hand out, she gently touched Vincent before slipping her arm around his own - locking them together, shifting away and from the piano's seat to now leaning somewhat against it.

Still in silence, the two of them.
Odette's breathing got a little faster knowing they were the only two in the room, surrounded by lovely warm light by flame's that danced.

[b "Do you ache, as much as I do for you?..."] she asked, breaking the silence, soft and breathless.

She was out of line to ask such a thing, but this...it was overwhelming.
Arm still interlocked with his own, Odette remained by the piano, staring at Vincent.

They were the only ones up so it seemed.
No one would know of their conversation.

MeisjeKellyOdette -   66d ago

Perhaps, Odette was a little blunt and forward when she spoke about how she felt deep inside.

The ache for a intimate connection just got worse and worse as the  seconds of her eternal life carried on and it also did not help that Vincent was so close...

As the two stood by the the most grandest and oldest of Piano's made, Odette stared at the demon who made her feel something extraordinary that she had not felt in centuries.

Who knew it was still alive inside.

[i Yes I do ache for you, I want to touch you in ways that only a lover should touch you. I've never wanted something this bad in all of my life, but you, you bring that side of me out. I know you are promised to someone else, and that's what hurts the most right now."]

Odette was not going crazy, he too felt something, a crazed ache for pure longing and yet, Vincent spoke on that she was to marry someone else.
How right he was.

Feelings and emotions had to be pushed aside and they both had to ignore that horrid ache, but ho could they when it was so intense?
The temptation was overwhelming and here Vincent was, wanting to know if he was at all wrong by guessing how the woman felt.

Odette breathed heavily, biting her lower lip as her eyes continued to stare upon the most enchanting and forbidden man she had ever known.
He was not wrong.
He let go of her grasp and turned around which only made Odette want to reach out and grab Vincent tight.

[b "You are not wrong. You could never be wrong about this. Never..."] she replied back softly and it was within a split moment that her body was lifted up by strong hands and rested her upon the smooth, glossy surface of the piano.

Long legs spread apart, enough space for Vincent to slip in between and to share a kiss.
The fire was ignited.

Hands that belonged to him placed gently upon her waist while Odette ran fingers through his hair with a tilt of her head, kissing harder and ever so passionate that both of their tongues danced with each other's own.
Growls.
Sweet sighs of intimate relief filled the room and Odette did not want it to end; but like all good things....they had too.

Vincent stopped and stepped back, while the female remained seated upon the musical piece, lips swollen from the heated share, chest heaving from the excitement and adrenaline.

[i 'I have to go..']
[b "What? .. No Vincent, please... stay..."] Odette spoke as she watched the Demon slip back into the shadows and left.

[b "With me...."] she continued to say in a whisper only to look down bringing both hands to her face only to again, feel lonesome.

A few moments she took to gather herself before slipping off the piano and breathed in deep.
If she had a heart that beated, it would now be somewhat broken.

Quietly, the soon to be Bride exited the wonderful room and began her travels back down the dark hallway, to a room, cold and desolate.
Entering with a hard push of the door, Odette closed and made her way to the bed and began to undress to nudity underneath and found herself soon under the single sheet upon the mattress.

Rejection.
It was not a thrill.

Odette could not pinpoint the feeling. Was it a mistake?
Was it right?
Was it pure anger for what he did?

Head upon the pillow, she turned her head and looked to the space beside upon the bed and sighed.

[b "Damn it..."]

MeisjeKellyOdette -   65d ago

The kiss was what she was waiting for practically her whole un-dead life.
Throughout her many years on the god forsaken planet, Odette did have her fair share of romps and romances with the opposite gender; however nothing compared to the fire and electricity she felt within those short moments.

She felt something.
She knew Vincent felt something just as strong and before being able to figure it out what it was and to lead into the temptation, he cut it short.

Just as well.

What the two had done was wrong as Vincent was a loyal friend, like a Brother while Odette was there to conduct business.
To get married to Dominick and no longer divide their hatred but to unite in equality.

It took another hour before Odette managed to close her eyes and remain asleep while outside the sun shone bright and everything was alive and blooming; unlike her love.

No dreams.
No thoughts.
Odette just simply slept for several hours, hours well needed before waking up with the sound of Willie Wagtail birds that sang under the moonlight.
Opening her eyes, she stared upon the ceiling before noticing the candles in her room fully lit as someone had entered while she slumbered and fired up the wax.
Her dress and jewels set up for her to wear along with a pair of shoes high on the heel.

[+red "Good evening, Maa'm.."] a soft voice came from the door as it opened up with a gorgeous looking Maid stepping while grasping a bowl filled with rose water and a sponge.
Odette sighed as she sat up, heart desperately wanting it to be Vincent, but with the actions with last night, he would be the last person to step into her room.

Odette was bathed in fragrant rose water that left her skin sweet smelling, a scent that lingered in the air as she walked.
Her long hair sleeked back, out of her face, covering her ears while cascading down her spine.
Face made up natural with make up but with a bold red lip while the gown upon her body was simply but ever so comfortable.
A blood red silk dress, similar to a night dress with spaghetti straps and a long cut down the front and the back.
Her bare back showing visibly while the front, showed her sternum and the sides of the mounds of her chest.
A ruby and emerald choker clinging around her neck while on her head, rested a crown like tiara matching the jewels of her necklace.

A splash of perfume oil, it was not long until Odette left her chambers and traveled down the long hallway back to the room that harbored that piano, the same one she shared that wonderful moment with the man she longed for...

The feeling of not being in her own environment was quite clear.
Walking on eggshells was how Odette felt and now, with her little intimate kiss with Vincent, the eggshells felt like glass and she needed to be even more careful where she tread.

The mind was such a powerful thing.
The brain was a very busy and intelligent organ and yet, when it was compared to the heart...the heart won ten folds over.
Odette knew she had to follow her mind, listen to her brain and adhere to the reason why she was here; to unite their families and become one.
Her ill beating heart had no more say, would not force her into temptation again, no.... matter.... what.

If only it was that easy.

The musical room from a previous rendezvous was where Odette would be meeting the man of the house, the Leader of the Romanian coven, the King.

Entering the room, Odette walked as if she was floating on air and breathed out slowly half waiting to see if Vincent was around.

Of course he would be, he followed Dominick like a lost little lamb, however on this occasion, he was no where to be seen.
Silly woman, she should have known.

A man who ran away from a pleasant act was bound to not attend himself around the guilty party.

[+purple "Good evening Odette. I didn't know what flowers to offer, so I do offer the white roses. You are welcome to do with them as you wish"]

Dominick was quite a striking man.
Eyes a piercing blue and a body so very masculine with rather big hands which were enough for a solid handful of her body.
Giving off a slight smile, Odette's eyes looked at the roses and outstretched her arms to where she soon cradled the roses as if they were a baby.
Gentle and carefully only to lean down and took in the scent.

[+b "All My Loving roses. One of favorites. Thank you, they are lovely.."] she spoke softly, giving them another lingered smell before passing them off to one of her female consorts to place them in water, in a vase..in her room.

A Wedding.

Such a joyous occasion to join two people together in love and matrimony but heading the words of a wedding, it made Odette feel somewhat ill.
It was her duty yes, to do this...but there was no love.
What was an eternal life without love?
What was her obsession with love?

[b "The wedding...yes..."] again she spoke now with a fake smile, taking a seat next to Dominick while it was pulled out open for her to take.
Behind on the cushioned seat, it was pushed in lose to the table, while a glass of warm human red was served.
Freshly warm.
Freshly taken and offered and Odette took it willingly.

A polite lingering sip of the blood, Odette placed the glass back down and continued about the wedding.

[b "Things do need to be arranged, sorted out closely and to make sure all can attend without squabbles."]

Another sip of her drink, Odette started to become nervous and hot.
Where was Vincent?

[b "My Lord, do you feel a wedding is totally the answer? We could always sign a treaty, a contract to unite our families, one not to break.  Truth be told, a wedding...the thought of it makes me......well, ive...never been married before."]

Odette was not going to lie, the way Dominick sat, did make her flush in the face.
Nerves.
What was with the Romanians and their beauty?

MeisjeKellyOdette -   51d ago

A rose did not answer its enemies with words, but with beauty.
Perhaps that was the right saying for Odette as she was not known for her words of hatred but more for her undying beauty.

Bushes of Roses were outside in the garden, and Odette could not wait to take a stroll under the moonlight to view them all.
All the colors.
All the sizes.
All of those wonderful smells that reminded her of her Paris.
Knowing of it now, she would do just that in the evening while she had free time to herself, well...whenever she had time to immerse herself in the maze of roses and take her time.

Sitting by the solid structured table of deep mahogany with a finish of gloss varnish, Odette remained seated and well poised as she kept eyes on Dominick; listening and latching onto ever single word that spilled from her very own lips.
Words she did not like to hear but refused to say anything in objection.

The thing however she did enjoy hearing was that the wedding did not have to happen right away.
There was a time limit, but the time to wait was reasonable enough and she got to go home if she wanted too.
One thing, Vincent had to accompany.

If everything went smoothly last night, Odette would of been jumping out of the seems, however in this instance, she dreaded that. How could she look at him?
The male practically refused her, however with the option of going home she would put up and deal with anything.

[b "You make such a choice. If I choose to go home, Vincent will be okay to come along. I suppose I cannot deny that request as you are allowing me to travel home.."]

Then came the ultimatum that made Odette's blood boil.
There it was.
When the devil offers you a rose, its petals are laced with poison.

[b "Really?..."]

Eyebrow raised, Odette gave off a soft laugh and faced the blood in the goblet before taking it in hand and took another long, lingering sip.
It was such a fucked up ultimatum but yet her heart yearned to go home even more so.

The pair sat in silence.

A few solid minutes went by until Odette, clicked her tongue and nodded, facing Dominick once again.

[b "The wedding will be pushed back a reasonable time limit. I will travel back to Paris, enjoy my last few months there while Vincent spies on me and my people for you....I wish to leave for Paris the day after tomorrow. If you wish me to be in your bed tomorrow night, then so be it..."]

The words were venom.

There was that hinting sick feeling on what if she actually enjoyed it?
Whatever it would be, Odette was homesick and she desperately wanted to be back in the arms of her home.

Vincent by her side, even if he was there to spy and keep away.

[b "Deal?..."]

Everything in the world was about s-x except s-x. S-x was about power and Dominick was showing true dominance the moment he spoke about the need of her in his bed.
One of the conditions of her being able to return to her lovely Paris.
It was sexual blackmail and truth be told, she had no idea on how to handle the situation at all but deep down, Odette did infact want to stay in Romania to test the waters and get used to her new home...and Vincent; however with their not successful romp on the piano, what was the point in staying?

Odette again kept fingers upon the goblet and held the neck with her digits, bringing the cup to her pouty mouth over...and over only to drink the sweet necter of blood. Emerald eyes continued to stare upon Dominick who was just has handsome as the other.
He oozed regality.
He oozed s-x.
He was a very confident and very much attractive.

Odette , like any other woman enjoyed a man's touch but with that, she was French wad lusted after love.
Would she find it with Dominick?

Giving off a smile, she laughed a little, keeping the goblet close.
"There are rules?..." she spoke softly with a raised eyebrow.
Yes, there rules. One important fact on that the sheets of his bed were silk and she needed to be naked before crawling onto them and him.
That, she understood.
Silk was expensive and exquisite and Odette took this rule with a nod.

"That sounds reasonable enough. Something you and I can agree on.."

Then came the request that almost made her spit out the blood that was in her mouth.
Bathe him?
Did she hear him right?

Oh Lord, where was Vincent to save her from this?

Odette closed her eyes and placed the goblet back onto the table and seemed to scream on the inside.
Was she a Queen or Dominicks slave?

Why did she feel trapped?

"Perhaps it should be you who is bathing me, My Lord. However if it is what you desire.."

Odette looked at Dominick as paper and pens approached them both as the two began to plan their upcoming nuptials when Odette returns from Montmartre.

Plans? From the top of her head?

"Roses of course, blood red in color. Perhaps some in white."] she spoke as she slowly got up from the seat and began to wander around the room but only to pass Dominick and gently touched his shoulder as she sauntered past. [b "Blood mixed with brandy-wine, just to get that little..."] Odette breathed in with a smile, close of her eyes for a single second [b "that little buzz...."]
Odette continued around the room, leaving her scent in the air with every step she took, heels clicking at the floor, train of her dress following close behind.
[b "Dinner to be, suckling pig with a wide spread of picking to choose and Hors d'Oeuvres to start off with. A classical band in the corner, while in the other - chaise lounge for people to lay upon and fuck, if they wish to do so. I am french, My Lord, we are all about the intimacy and public viewings..."]

Standing regal at the end of the table, Odette remained poised as she looked at Dominick who continued to remain seated.

[b "Do you have any grand ideas for our wedding or should you just leave it with me?..."]

[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 At the small touch of her fingers, something inside of him lit up. He wanted more of that touch. Bathe with him.
It had seemed that she, in all the thoughts in her mind and her ache for home she did mis-hear Dominicks spoken word on the two of them bathing.
It was an odd request but it seemed innocent enough; so she smiled at the words.
Together.
Just the two of them sharing a moment in warm water while embracing.

It seemed harmless.

Standing by the edge of the table, Odette held out her hands and began to speak on what she would like for the reception of the wedding.
It was to be grand.
It was to be intimate.
It was to be sensual.

Listening to Domincks words, Odette turned her head and looked at the King only to give off another smile before correcting him.

"It seems both of us have had a case of misunderstanding." she spoke, turning her body where she faced her soon to be Husband.
"Back in Montmartre, there is a certain house..where only a select few can enter and veiw what happens inside. They are of our kind, feasting on the festivities of s*x and...group intimacies. Our kind are engaging in these acts with human beings who are willing. It is strange but you cannot look away. It is engaging; however at the end of it all they are fed on...."

Odette moved closer to Dominick, standing by the table with those peircing eyes on his very own.

"We would not be engaging ...it will be purely a show for our guests. If our guests wish to be involved so be it. Our gift to them for attending..."

All Dominick wanted was for Odette to be happy in her new home.
Oh, how she wanted to be happy but how could she be happy when then man who made her breathe for the first time in 361 years haunted her thoughts by running away.

A kiss upon the back of her hand, Odette remained silent and listened to Dominick and watched intently as he removed himself from the chair and captivated her body on his arms.
He held her up like a brand new Bride and simply could not of left the Grand room fast enough until they were both in his Chambers, feet now firmly planted on the ground by his bed.

He wanted her the first glance.
Odette mustered a smile.

She needed to forget Vincent and their little pathetic kiss.

"You wanted me? Come and get me....My Lord..." she spoke softly before welcoming a kiss that was surprisingly enjoyable.
Left hand reached up and gently caressed Dominicks face as Odette tilted her head to the side and kissed a little harder.
Welcoming her sweet tasting tongue into the Kings mouth before moving the single hand only to remove the dress that hung from her body.

The silk slipped from skin, leaving nothing on but the heeled shoes and the jewels around her neck.

Bare bodied.

Pulling back slowly, Odette took a step back for the male to take it all in.
The nudity.
The softness.

"I welcome you..."

[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 The male was mistaken after all. There was misunderstanding on both of their parts, and he was glad she was willing to explain what she meant. He nodded lightly at the mention of it. It was different, and it was something he could easily get behind. As long as he wouldn't be partaking, that's all that mattered to him. He was a one woman type of person anyway. Before he could say more, he was sweeping her off her feet, and carrying her through the halls and to his room. It's been ages since he's been alone with a woman.]]

[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 Odette on the one hand was breathtaking, and if he had been alive, he would have been breathless but he wasn't. They were both undead, and they both didn't need air to survive. They needed blood, and that's all that made him survive in the first place. He was glad she didn't push him away when he kissed her. He was kind of surprised when she kissed him back. Soon he felt her tongue mingling with his own, and he let out a low growl in the back of his throat. She was doing things to him.]]

[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 Things he hadn't felt in ages. It was a strange feeling, but it was a wonderful feeling as well. When she pulled back, he watched her with silent eyes as she slipped the gown off of her shoulders and to the floor. When she stood before him, fully nude he couldn't help but look her up and down. God did she look amazing, even with nearly nothing on. [#ADD8E6 "You my Queen, are breath taking, I'm surprised you haven't been snatched up a long time ago"] he breathed out. He meant it too.]]

[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 He was pretty damn lucky to partake in such a beauty. He walked over to a high backed chair and brought it over for her to sit. When she was seated, he got down onto his knees, and slowly started to pull off her heels one at a time. He leaned forward and placed gentle kisses on her calf, as he looked up towards her. [#ADD8E6 "I don't know what you are doing to me, and I personally am enjoying the feelings you are stirring up inside of me. I do hope you will stop me if I'm overstepping a line"] he said softly.]]

[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 He finished pulling her heels off, and set them aside. He then stood and walked around the chair, and placed his hands on her shoulders. Her skin felt amazing under his fingertips. He found the clasp of her necklace, and unhooked it. He then took it over to the bedside table and set it down. He then turned and looked back towards her. He then slowly started to undress himself, and then went back to her side. He leaned down and tilted her head back a bit. He then closed the gap once more.]]

[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 Their lips touched, and he wanted to melt. He wanted to fade away, forget the world and keep her all to himself. He knew that it wouldn't happen, but a man could dream. He pulled away and took her hand in his, and led her to the bathroom. He left the door open, and started the water. He made sure it was at the perfect tempture, and then added in bubbles, along with the flower petals he kept in a jar. He then placed them on top of the bubbles as the tub filled with hot water.]]

[google-font http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 He turned around and faced her once more, watching her with silent eyes. [#ADD8E6 "Do you have any rules or anything you wish for me to follow?"] he asked her. He was doing everything he could to make her feel comfortable. He did tell her the rules of sleeping in his bed, and he was curious as to if she had any as well. He didn't want to sound like a demanding asshole, and he hoped he wasn't coming off that way. He fell silent as he looked over his shoulder watching the water rising little by little.]]
