[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 A small sigh passed through the males lips as he looked down at the box in his hands. His mother had called him a couple of hours ago, and had asked him to stop by on his way home from work. He had told her he would, and when he did he wished he hadn't. She didn't want to see him for long. She had handed him a box titled [b High School Hell]. He had a feeling he knew what was inside, but he didn't say much. His mother didn't even say much to him either.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 In a way he had been okay with that. He didn't want to really sit there and make small talk with the woman. The two had a really horrible fight a couple of years ago, and he had been kicked out, and pretty much disowned. His father wasn't in the picture anymore either, and he didn't really have anyone to talk to about it. He didn't even have [i her] anymore either. Thinking about the woman he had fallen head over heels for in high school made his heart break slightly. Why was he thinking about his past anyway?]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 Oh, that's right. The box he held in his hands. It held the tokens of his past, and the memories he had of their time together. The male looked up at the shop front and finally shut the car off. He was sitting outside of one of their many hang out spots, and thought it would be wise to go through the box here. He climbed out with the box in his hands, and moved over to a table nearby. He pressed the button on his key FOB to lock the car as he did.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 He sat down and lifted the lid slowly. His breath caught in his throat. There was the pressed roses he had gotten for their senior prom. The prom pictures, everything. He set the lid aside and picked up the roses. They still had the small smell and it made the male smile. He set them in the lid, and moved onto the next piece inside. It was him on with the basketball team and he laughed at the memory. He remembered the day this was taken. All the guys had thought it would be interesting not to smile.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 Seeing it now, he wished he had, because they all looked like they were pissed off or something. He then sent that photo aside and lifted another one out of the box. It was the night of prom, and him and his date were standing with their arms around each other. They looked so happy and in love. He felt his heart breaking, wishing he hadn't fucked everything up. He felt like a horrible person, and wished with everything in his being that he could go back to that night and do it all differently.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 [#b4c8ee "God I miss you.."] he breathed out. As soon as the words left his lips a shadow passed over the male, and he tuned and looked towards the person behind him. That's when his heart nearly dropped into his stomach. It was [i her]. The love of his life, and he wanted nothing more than to pull her into his arms, kiss her, and hold her there. He fought that urge though. For the time being he sat there watching her with silent eyes, not daring to break the silence for fear it was all a dream.]]
For the female it has been a long few years. The female was staring at herself in the mirror. This was something she does every morning. She would look at herself in the mirror. Because every day she has to fight all the damage she got from her ex breaking up with her. Charity sighed lightly and shook her head, and splashed some cold water on her before she decided she was going to leave.
Charity wiped the water off of her face, and she looked at herself once more, and noticed that she was getting ready to cry once more. [I No no...] Charity shook her head and decided that she needed to get out of here, and she needed to clear her mind.
Charity grabbed her phone and saw that she had a text message from her friends. Her friends wanted to go to a spot that her and ex used to go too. She gulped lightly, and then took in a deep breath. Was she actually going to go there? That was one of her and ex's favorite spot. She knew that she couldn't seclude herself. She sighed slightly, and then started to type back.
[b I'll be there! See you guys soon!!]
She sent the message and then grabbed her jacket and keys, and left for the restaurant. She wasn't entirely sure why her friends wanted to go there, when they knew the past. She drove there, as Charity thoughts were all up in the clouds. But what was the chance of him even being there. With that thought in her mind, it put her mind at ease. Charity pulled up, and realized that no one was here yet. She walked into the restaurant and then she looked at the person at the front. "Oh! Hey Charity! Take a seat wherever!" Charity smiled at him, and nodded. She headed towards a table, and sat down. Waiting for her friends to show up, and for her to just relax her mind.
As she was sitting there and waiting, she noticed something familiar in front of her. She kept her eyes glued on the object in front of her. Well. It wasn't an object, because she was staring at the person that was her ex. She felt herself starting not to breathe. Was this actually happening? Why out of all days does it have to be this day?
Charity tried to force herself to look away, but she couldn't get herself to look away. She realized that her eyes were glued on him. She wanted to look away but she knew she couldn't. She could feel the tears to sting her eyes, but she knew damn well that she couldn't cry. Not here. Not now. All she wanted was her friends to show up. So they could help her get away from her situation. But she felt like it wasn't going to be that easy.
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 Watching as Charity made herself comfortable, he was surprised she hadn't seen him yet. It was like she had heard his thoughts because she was looking right at him. His heart skipped a beat, and his breathing seemed to stop. Those light blue eyes he remembered so well. Those eyes he had fallen head over heels in love with, the way they would sparkle when she laughed, the way her red hair fell around her shoulder's. It was all too much in a way. He knew better though, and he saw the pain in her eyes as well.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 Seeing the pain broke his heart. Realizing he was the one to have caused her this pain, was enough to drive him insane. He hadn't meant to break things off with her. He thought he was going away to Harvard, and he couldn't stand the thought of being away from her. The long distance would have torn him apart on the daily. He knew he had to explain himself, and he hoped she would at least listen to what he had to say. If she wouldn't listen, he would understand. He sat there a moment long taking it all in.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 She was still breathtaking, and the longer he watched her, the more he wanted to make her forgive him. He slowly stood and walked over to her table. He shoved his hands into his pockets, and took a breath before speaking. [#b4c8ee "Hello Charity.."] was all he could muster at the moment. He didn't know what else to say. He felt like the scum of the earth, and he hoped she wouldn't be too made at him. He would deserve every hurtful word she wanted to say to him. He shifted his weight a bit and looked down.]]
[google-font https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans][noto+sans [size12 [#b4c8ee "I know you must hate me, but if you could find it in your heart to let me explain, I would do so.. I just need at least five minutes of your time.. Please..?"] he breathed out. He slowly looked back up to her, his eyes meeting her's once more. Those eyes he loved more than anything. He hated seeing the pain in her eyes, and he wished he could take it all away right then and there. He knew he wouldn't be able too, but he hoped she would give him the chance to explain.]]
Charity still couldn't believe who she was seeing in front of her. Charity felt today as going to be an off day like this. But she wasn't expecting to see her ex-boyfriend standing in front of her. Charity didn't know how to feel honestly. Charity felt like she had a bunch of mixed emotions. Charity eyes went to him, and right away you could tell that there was betrayal and hatred burning into her pupils. Charity saw her friends walk in and they stood there for a minute, realizing who was talking to her right now. Even though, Charity hasn't really said much to him. She knew she needed to say something, but she was angry and hurt. She didn't want to say something that she may later on regret. Charity pulled her eyes from her friends, and then she looked back at Maverick.
[b "Now tell me why I would even do that? You left me. You broke me. And now I barely put myself together, and you just come waltzing back in? So please. Tell me what so worth breaking my heart the way you did."]
Charity texted her friends, and told them that it was going to be a little bit, because she really did want to know his reasoning. Charity felt her heart racing a mile a minute. The way he looked. He looked amazing. But Charity knew that she couldn't be thinking that.
Charity looked down at the seat. [b "Take a seat."] Charity was hoping that she wasn't being too cold, but she wasn't sure what he expected. Her life was him. And then he took that from her for whatever reason. Charity didn't completely understand why he did what he did. And she wanted to understand. But then again, Charity felt like it needed to be a good enough reason for her. Not for him.
Charity felt her heart beating against her chest pretty hard. She was waiting for what he was saying. She was trying to think what he was going to say. All she knew is that she wanted to feel his embrace once more. But she wasn't sure if she could go down that road once more.
One thing she really enjoyed though was having a supportive group of friends. They don't think its wise those two are together, but then again, they understand because Maverick is Charity's first love. She wanted that all back again, but she wasn't sure if she could trust him not to break her heart again.
