Licht took a soft breath before beginning to play on the piano, closing his eyes and just letting his fingers play across the keys. He was always practicing, always improving, always trying his best to get his talents perfected. He was a hard worker, to be sure, and he always made sure that he was able to keep himself in check. That...and the little shit Servamp following him around all the time. He sighed as he paused to listen for the sound of Hyde, looking around before starting to play the piano again. Licht always hated it when the Servamp showed up in the middle of his practices, especially when Licht had specifically told him not to show up. It was fucking annoying to him, and he just let his anger go into the playing.

"Whoa there, someone's angry that I came to say hi," Hyde lightly laughed as he slid through the opening in the door, not expecting to get anything in response other than the notes Licht masterfully played on the piano located center-stage in the auditorium. He quietly walked up to the stage, determined to do [i something] other than sit out in the hallway like a mutt; that wasn't fun nor was it entertaining. There was only so much humour for him to get out of toying with the whale mascot, after all. He hopped up the small flight of stairs to the side of the stage, the hedgehog skittering across the polished wood to where the piano stood and his Eve sat, looking up at him while his quills ruffled out. For once, Hyde didn't say anything further, instead letting the self-proclaimed ''angel'' play his beloved music, flopping down onto the floor and calmly laying there while listening. Music- or, rather, Licht- was much more entertaining than trying to defeat a person inside of a stuffed whale costume in his opinion.

"Oh, shut up." The Austrian grumbled to himself, rolling his eyes before going back to his music. The wings that showed up on his back when he performed were there now, his fingers continuing to play one of Beethoven's many pieces. His eyes glimmered softly as he sighed softly, closing them as he tried his best to be calm despite the hedgehog staring at him. However, he glanced down at him before kicking him aside, grumbling softly to himself. "Damn hedgehog..." He whispered, shaking his head and continuing to play as he looked down at the sheet music. He hummed to himself as he swayed along to the music quietly, smiling to himself as he sighed happily. The music brought him such calm, it made him smile. A rare sight to be sure, and he would never truly show it to others if he could help it. Sometimes he couldn't, but he knew that Hyde might not see it yet.

Hyde grumbled out quietly in disapproval of having been kicked to the side, standing back up on his four feet only to scurry back over. This time around, however, he hopped up on the stool of the piano only to jump onto the piano itself and run around on the keys, purposefully hitting every note his little paws could get their hands upon to ruin the song Licht played. It was fair trade in his opinion; and he wasn't even the one to ask for a fight this time. Before he could get scooped up, Hyde hid inside the piano and curled up into a protective spikey ball of hedgehog as far away from the opening as he could; Licht wouldn't [i dare] risk breaking his precious piano, right? That was the hope at least, quietly snickering to himself as he continued to mess with the song even while inside the instrument.

Licht narrowed his eyes before slamming one of the keys, making the hammer smack into the vampire's quill's harshly. "Get out of my piano!" He snapped with a soft growl, narrowing his eyes at the vampire before sighing and running his hand through his hair. That was gonna ruin the key's sensitivity later...whatever, he decided, shrugging to himself before yawning and standing up. "Hedgehog! Get the hell out of the piano, we're going!" He snapped, looking into the piano and glaring at him before letting go of the edge and going down the stairs to the stage. Admittedly, he did kind of do that to himself, but he wasn't about to just up and admit that, much less to Hyde. He stuffed his hands into his pockets silently as he looked away, quietly sighing as he closed his eyes

Hyde grumbled out once more, taking a moment to fix his quills after the miniature hammer struck them, slowly crawling out of the inside of the piano afterward. "Somebody needs to report you to PETA for animal abuse; kicking and hitting a tiny hedgehog with piano hammers? It's outrageous. You're so lucky we don't bruise easy," He hissed in a cocky and playful tone, his quills ruffling out as a safety response while he ran over to catch up with his Eve. "Seriously," Hyde started with a sigh, and in the blink of an eye he was his typical vampire self, arms crossed and a playful scowl on his face. "I wasn't the one to make a contract with you, and you treat me so poorly. Forcing an unsuspecting hedgehog into such a cruel and hostile environment surely must be illegal."

Licht merely shot a glare back at him before tsking and shaking his head, continuing to trudge through the halls they were in. His eyes were glimmering with his annoyance, and he stuffed his hands into his pockets as he sighed softly. He was fucking annoyed, but he looked back at him before rolling his eyes. "Why don't you break the contract then?" He hummed simply as he watched him, tilting his head with a soft chuckle. "You'd be rid of me then. Even better, why don't you do to me what you've done to your other Eves? Wouldn't that be easy? It's not like a vampire couldn't destroy a human." He hummed as he held up his hands, walking away and just sighing softly. "Humans can't deal with the onslaught from a vampire either, not for long anyway..." He whispered, crossing his arms and sighing as he walked.

"You wound me so, my angel, I'm offended. You say that like I haven't tried many times already," Hyde lightheartedly retorted with a scoff, trudging on behind Licht at a semi-respectful distance as he absentmindedly played with the hanging parts of his scarf. "And [i I'm] not the one who's able to break a contract given [i I] wasn't the one who made it. You'd have to ask Doubt Doubt's Eve as I'm not one-hundred percent certain how to break a contact other than simply killing you." He stated casually, pausing a moment to stand in place and think before swiftly returning to his place following behind his Eve, happily switching up the conversation. "So, where are we going now??"

He tried his best not to roll his eyes at the other, but he tsked softly. "Just going back to my room." Licht hummed softly, walking into the fancy room and plopping onto his bed as he groaned gently. He was kinda sore recently, and he closed his eyes as he shrugged his button-up off. His eyes glimmered softly as he sighed, looking up at Hyde before narrowing his eyes at him. "Why don't you make yourself useful and get me something to drink, dumb hedgehog?" He grumbled at him, crossing his arms as he flopped onto his back silently. He closed his eyes and sighed softly as he put his arm over his eyes silently, swallowing heavily and waiting for whether or not the other would actually listen to him. Honestly, he was a bit annoyed by the other's presence, but at least he was kinda trying to not yell at him.

"Your wish is my command," Hyde said with a playful bow, turning on his heels before walking out of the room to get a drink as asked. If he were being honest, it wasn't as if he had much of a choice, as anything his Eve strongly wished for him to do, their contract would involuntarily force him to do, but he liked making it seem like he was playing around. The hedgehog vampire quietly walked off, mumbling and reciting one of Shakespear's numerous plays under his breath as he fetched a hot glass of tea. Hyde was slow to return, taking his sweet time walking; admittedly, the only reason he was slow was that he wasn't the best with [i not] overfilling a glass, thus struggling to walk at a decent pace while trying to keep the contents of the cup from spilling out. He set it down on the nightstand beside the bed, humming out a little. "I could have poisoned or spat in it, I'm juuuuuust saying." Hyde sarcastically noted with a mock-innocent smile.

"Not like it would do much to me, since I'm an angel." He hummed casually, looking up at him before taking a slow sip of the drink he was given. It's not like he cared much about what Hyde did to his drinks, since most of the time it was pretty harmless. The rest of the time, it was things he could deal with, like smalltime poisons. Licht yawned softly as he stretched, sighing and closing his eyes sleepily. Today was a bit stressful for him, and he was honestly ready to just pass out. Of course, Hyde probably wasn't going to let him, since he was a bit...too loud...

Hyde hummed out, sitting on top of the bed Licht laid on before, with a soft poof beforehand, skittering across the blankets as a hedgehog. Usually, he wasn't treated as harshly as a small hedgehog, much to both his thanks and his curse. The hedgehog vampire crawled his forceful way to the self-proclaimed angel, practically cuddling up to him. Though, it was nothing soft-hearted or cute, more as an act of pure spite, ruffling out his quills to avoid being moved even an inch. "Angel is not restful the present day, how depress'd," He sighed, silently snickering to himself at his own usage of his beloved Shakespearean; such an old way of speaking English he utterly adored. Plus, watching others get confused trying to translate it into the modern language was entertaining too. "Thee shouldst receiveth up; the day is not ov'r! Playeth me a song thee distemperate rampallian! Ent'rtain me 'r kicketh the bucket!"

"Get off my bed." He growled softly, rolling over before throwing him onto a pillow on the floor. "You're not cuddly. You're stupid." He then rolled back onto his back, pulling his blanket over himself as he sighed softly. "Ugh..." Licht was annoyed, as usual, with the hedgehog, and began to drift off softly as he closed his eyes. He seemed oddly peaceful now, just staying in his bed as he set both of his hands on his belly, letting out a gentle hum as he slept peacefully for once. Even if he was on-guard most of the time, it just felt nice to be able to sleep like this even if it was only for a moment.

Hyde, for once, didn't comment about being thrown onto a pillow on the floor, instead settling for what he was given rather than being as his sin would have him described. He could tell Licht was genuinely tired, even if he wasn't directly told so. Curling up into a softly spikey ball on his hedgehog pillow, as he dubbed it considering it was easier to find a comfortable place to sleep as a hedgehog than it was as a full vampire. The opportunity to rest properly had appeared, and he wasn't about to pass it up considering most of the time the two fought, bickered, and argued rather than somewhat peacefully existing with one another like they were now. "Valorous night then, mine own angel," Hyde muttered out, laying his head between his tiny paws before deciding to get a little sleep for himself.

"Yeah yeah..." He mumbled out in his half-asleep state, but seemed to sleep well once he was asleep. Once he woke up, he popped his neck and yawned as he sat up, realizing that it was afternoon as he blinked quietly. Licht stood up and grabbed some new clothes, going to change. He wore a long sweater, shorts and socks, yawning to himself as he stretched softly. He looked down at him before moving close, stroking his hands over the quills on Hyde's back and smoothing them down as he smiled to himself. It just made him smile to see him so peaceful, even if he'd never let Hyde know it, and he stood up before going to the kitchen to make a mix of food that a hedgehog could eat. He brought it back to him and gently put it near Hyde's nose, letting him smell the food as he smiled softly.

Hyde's nose softly twitched a few times at the familiar smell of food, sleepily stretching a little as he let out a squeak of a yawn. He slowly crawled to his feet and shakily wobbled over to where the food was, letting his nose guide him rather than opening his eyes, trying not to fall over while he walked atop the pillow. Balance was a semi-difficult thing for the hedgehog vampire whenever he was sleepy, but food was enough of a motivator to get him to try and wake up, contently eating at the mix Licht provided without saying a word. When he was done eating, Hyde politely sat down, gently playing with his own two front paws for a second before looking up to Licht. "I'm, uhm... a little [i thirsty,]" He mumbled out, as if he were nervous or even shy to hint at the fact that he needed something special to drink, said something being the famed drink of choice among vampires: blood.

Licht raised an eyebrow at the sheepish tone, but softly scooped Hyde up and placed him on his shoulder so that he could bite him and take his fill of what he needed. He hummed lightly as he closed his eyes, drumming his fingers on his legs and playing with his unintentional sweater paws. He yawned softly while putting a hand over his mouth, seeming extremely sleepy as he let out a gentle groan. "Ugh..." He pulled his phone out and called his manager, giving him an order for breakfast before hanging up. Whatever Hyde took would probably make him shakey, and he didn't feel like dealing with that at the moment. Licht leaned his head back quietly as he yawned [i again], trying not to be confused by how tired he was. He [b did] just wake up a few minutes ago, so it shouldn't be much of a surprise.

Hyde blinked in slight surprise upon being picked up and set onto one of Licht's shoulders, but he didn't complain considering there was too much sunlight in the room for Hyde to swap forms. He happily took the invite to take his fill, doing his utter best to gently bite him and lap up the crimson liquid, trying to avoid inflicting him any pain, surprisingly. Perhaps it was that he genuinely cared about the self-proclaimed angel, or that their contract prevented him from inflicting serious injury while taking the very thing he fed off of, but whatever it was, he wouldn't outwardly admit it; especially the first of the two options. Geez, Hyde could only imagine the possible outcomes of a theoretical confession, all of which usually ended poorly. He slid and hopped down once he was content, walking his way over to a mini-fridge and managing to squirm inside, pushing a cold bottle of water out of it and nudging it in Licht's direction, silently encouraging him to drink some.

Licht looked down at the water before sighing and opening it, sipping some of it slowly as he tried his best not to shake. He wanted to talk to him, but he stood up and just smiled lightly at him as he walked over to the door to open it. “Thanks.” He spoke after a moment, looking back at him as he offered him a strawberry.

"Nay needeth to thanketh me, mine angel, I shouldst beest thanking [i thee,]" Hyde responded as he pushed the door of the minifridge shut, eyeing the strawberry offered to him. He didn't take it quite yet, instead running off in the direction the window and gently tugging at the blinds. Thankfully, they were long enough to drape to the floor, which gave him plenty to pull so that he could draw them shut without too much of a struggle. With the room now sun-free, the vampire swapped forms in the blink of an eye, then and only then taking the strawberry that was offered to him and munching on it quietly and contently with a small, genuine smile. ["No need to thank me, my angel, I should be thanking [i you,]"]

He strolled over and took a seat down on a chair, respecting Licht's personal space on his bed as he hummed out contently, finishing the last tiny nibble of the strawberry he was given.

He was humming to himself softly, imagining the piano keys in his head before swallowing softly and beginning to play with his hands slowly. The hedgehog vampire sat peacefully cross-legged in the chair, gently stretching to wake up himself and his body for whatever the new day might bring so that he would be ready for it. He gave himself a small head massage while he was at it, because why not? It was roughly the equivalent of being pet, which was something he secretly adored, and due to the fact he was hesitant and semi-sheepish to rely on Licht, he did so himself, glancing over at his Eve after a second of sheer blissful humming. "What? Do you want a head massage too, angel?" Hyde half-sarcastically asked, ever so slightly raising a brow in turn.

Licht’s eyes widened a bit at the feeling of being caught, clearing his throat and looking away as he drew the collar of his sweater up to hide his cheeks from the vampire. “Shut up, demon…” He growled softly, holding himself close as he huffed softly. He hated that he was caught, quietly hiding his cheeks from him in his sweater as he tried his best to hide his flushed feelings. “Go away..”

Hyde only grinned, a devious glimmer in his eyes which gave away to the fact he was ready to do anything [i but] what he was just told to do. Snickering to himself, ''like the demon he was'' he joked internally, the vampire slid out of the chair he was neatly seated at, swiftly making his way over to take a seat behind Licht. "If that's all you wanted, you could have just asked rather than stared," Hyde said in the same somewhat sarcastic tone, raising his hands up to softly rub at his Eve's head much as he semi-offered to do.

Licht started to protest before feeling him rub his head, relaxing immediately as he let out a gentle groan. “You’re truly a demon…you’ve put a spell on me…” He tried to stay strong, but essentially leaned into his touch as he closed his eyes with a soft sigh. “I…feels…good…” He mumbled out as his eyes opened to look at Hyde with a surprisingly gentle look, giving him a soft smile without fully realizing.

Hyde couldn't help but return the soft smile he was gifted with, continuing to let his hands rub gentle circles to Licht's head. "Awh, why thank you kindly~ I'll take that as in I'll get the opportunity to give you more massages in the future," The hedgehog calmly said with an affectionate sounding chuckle, carefully watching the other's reactions to figure out where the best spots were to rub at, swiftly 'abusing' them soon after finding them. "Ophelia taught me, actually; she said I was really good at it, though I never believed her." He added on, humming out for a second, trying his utter best to ignore the swell of emotions he felt upon realizing the similarity Licht's smile had with his old Eve.

He mumbled odd phrases in German to himself as he closed his eyes again, placing his hands in his lap as he sighed softly. God it felt nice to have this done to him, and he eventually just laid his head on his shoulder as he let out a gentle sigh. “Mmmm…” A gentle sigh escaped him as he hummed happily, lightly kneading at his own sweater paws as he let out the gentlest of noises. It sounded like a purr…

Hyde softly blinked a few times, raising a brow in both light confusion and curiosity, eyeing Licht as he kept gently massaging at his head. "Hey, don't go becoming a cat like Kuro, I don't want to have to deal with [i two] felines," He lightheartedly commented, unaware of the fact he was fully and genuinely smiling at this point, only focused on making sure his Eve felt nice, weirdly enough. After a fair amount of time in his own opinion, the vampire came to a slow stop, pulling his hands away while he still smiled softly.

Blinking a few times in surprise, Hyde quietly looked away while his hands shifted to playing with the edge of his scarf. Despite his typical rugged and cocky attitude, he was surprisingly easy to fluster with the slightest bit of affection. Hey, to be fair, he really wasn't used to any form of soft touch coming from Licht unless he was a hedgehog, so one couldn't blame him, and even then it was a rarity. "Yeah, whatever, says the one purring from a mere head massage, angel," Hyde slightly huffed out, booping his Eve's nose.

Licht let out a gentle hum as he held him close, laying his head on him as he sighed. "You purr louder than I do, idiot..." He mumbled out, holding onto him and quietly humming as he closed his eyes. "You know...you're not a bad demon..." He mumbled out, nuzzling his cheek and smiling gently. Sure, he hated him most of the time, but he kinda enjoyed the weird feeling resting in his belly. Was it love? Was it affection? He didn't know, but it felt nice to him. He sighed softly as he nuzzled him lightly again, looking up at him with a gentle smile. "You're not that bad, honestly."

Hyde paused for a second before lightly laughing, in a tiny bit of disbelief that their current sweet moment was even happening. It took him a bit to wrap his head around his newfound current reality, but he only smiled ever sweeter after doing so, admittedly just the slightest redfaced as a result. "Thou art not half lacking valor yourself, mine own angel," He stated, gently nuzzling Licht in return and lightly testing their now undetermined boundaries by essentially cuddling him. Unlike the night before, however, it contained no spiteful intentions, as the vampire was simply curious to see how his, almost tamer now, Eve would react. ["You aren't half bad yourself, my angel,"]

Licht let out a gentle chuckle as he leaned his head back slightly, smiling at him before humming to himself, tilting his head at him gently. His eyes closed pleasantly, however, since he leaned his head under the vampire's. He paused for a moment, once again taking a bit of time to process what he heard, shamelessly turning further red in the process. Hyde, quietly and to himself, grumbled something about how Shakespearean was [i his] thing, though he wasn't angry in the slightest. If anything, it only set his heart aflutter, now desperate and, ironically, greedy for a chance to fluster Licht in return. "Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day? Hyde warmly smiled, quietly mouthing the words to the poem that was recited while he tugged and drew Licht closer. He touched their noses together gently, and for once he seemed genuinely happy, lovestruck even. "Take all my loves, my love, yea, take them all; What hast thou then more than thou hadst before? No love, my love, that thou mayst true love call; All mine was thine before thou hadst this more. "I already told you that one!" Licht softly laughed as he wrapped his arms around him gently, then nuzzled their noses together for a deer kiss while sighing softly. "...I would not wish Any companion in the world but you..." He mumbled out, resting their foreheads together as he mumbled against his lips. "If you were my rose, then I'd be your sun, painting you rainbows when the rains come. I'd change my orbit to banish the night, as to keep you in my nurturing light."

Hyde scrunched his nose up in playful protest to having been caught repeating one of their poems, the redness on his face going a shade darker as a result of having not realized he repeated one himself. Whatever, the vampire brushed it off, more than happy to recite the next verse of this poem. "If you were my world, then I'd be your moon, your silent protector, a night-light in the gloom. Our fates intertwined, two bodies in motion through time and space, our dance of devotion."

Licht seemed happy that the vampire knew the poem he was reciting, sighing lightly and kissing his nose before reciting the next verse. He was clearly happy, giving him a light deer kiss again since he wasn't quite ready to try and fully kiss him yet. It was weird for him, feeling these feelings for the person that he seemed to hate so much. "If you were my island, then I'd be your sea, caressing your shores, soft and gentle I'd be. My tidal embrace would leave gifts on your sands, but by current and storm, I'd ward your gentle lands."

Hyde smiled a touch more, smoldering Licht's cheeks in light kisses, he himself too certain about his feelings to try and steal a proper kiss just yet. Though, if this kept up for too long, he couldn't make any promises saying he [i wouldn't] try; he was the sin of greed, after all. He gave him another deer kiss before finishing the last verse of the poem, "If you were love's promise, then I would be time, your constant companion till stars align. And though we are mere mortals, true love is divine, and my devotion eternal, to my one valentine."

A gentle sigh escaped Licht as he closed his eyes softly, stroking his cheek before nuzzling him and smiling softly. “You’re a fool…but I’m glad I met you.” He mumbled out as he snuggled into him gently. It was a nice feeling, being cuddled up like this with someone else, but he looked up at him before taking a breath and placing their forehead against Hyde’s. He was trying to work up the courage, but the window was suddenly crashed through by another vampire as Licht startled.

Hyde sighed out contently, genuinely less than a millisecond away from giving into his own selfish desire by stealing a quick peck to Licht's lips only to be ever so rudely interrupted by the window being smashed as someone came through. It was a good thing much sunlight wasn't out, otherwise he'd be a very angry hedgehog attempting to protect his Eve rather than his usual self. Hyde let out a pissed growl, sitting up fully as he drew out his sword, "What's the bright idea, fella? Ever heard of knocking?"

Licht immediately reverted back to his stoic self as he stood up, Old Child coming up from his protective ball as he lightly glared up at his brother. “What were you two doing? It’s not a good idea to get so close to your Eve, Greed. You remember what happened last time, don’t you?” He narrowed his eyes as Licht raised an eyebrow. “And since when did you control this demon’s love life, small unholy thing?” He growled lightly, partially unaware of how angry he was about being told what to do.

"Our doubts are traitors and make us lose the good we oft might win by fearing to attempt," Hyde answered indirectly, of course with a Shakespear quote, merely rolling his eyes as he flicked Old Child square in his head as if he was a genuine child. "I don't see how that has [i any] permissions to give you the right to snoop on the two of us, let alone break property; a window nonetheless; which, you [i will] be fixing, by the way. The business between a Servamp and his Eve is a secretive thing, you of all people should know that, Pride."

Licht snickered softly at the flick to Old Child’s head before stepping forwards, picking the little vampire up. It clearly infuriated him, their business being interrupted like that, and he narrowed his eyes at the now-struggling vampire. “What an idiot.” He tsked softly, Old Child giving them a glare as he turned into a bat. “You are both fools. You, Eve of Greed, are a fool for letting him get this close to you. And you, Servamp of Greed, are a fool for trying to court another human.” He snapped, ignoring Licht’s protest as his eyes glimmered softly. “History will repeat itself, Greed, mark my words.”

Hyde let his weapon fall from his grasp and disappear, his face falling flat at the warning as it had struck the wrong chord inside of him. Ignoring the surge of memories and emotions from the past for the time being, the hedgehog vampire stood up and gently grabbed his bat brother, holding him firmly as he half-glared and half-smiled. "I have no issues guarding over one more statue of my angel for another hundred years if it comes to it, Pride; it's a risk I'm willing to take. Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind, and therefore is winged Cupid painted blind." He quietly hissed out, walking back over to the window and holding Old Child out. "You need to leave now, unless your feeble self truly wishes to fight."

Old Child growled lightly before biting his brother, flying off as Licht ran his hand through his hair with a quiet sigh. "Right..." He shook his head as he sat down and hugged himself tightly, thinking about something for a moment before looking up at Lawless. "I...can't tell if you meant that or not." He spoke quietly, watching him closely to look for anything that could tell him whether or not the Servamp was lying. His eyes glimmered lightly while running his hand through his hair, yawning quietly as he laid back a bit in order to seem relaxed.

Hyde softly rubbed the area he had been bitten, standing solemnly and silently at the window for a few more moments, watching his hands as he closed them, as if he were holding something; or, in a sense, hiding something, though something was painfully off about his demeanour now. The Servamp looked back to his Eve and forced a smile, "Oh, you think I'd honestly lie about something like that?... I guess that's the risk [i you'll] have to take, then..." He mumbled out quietly, soon after turning into a hedgehog and laying on the floor, still staring at his hands, now paws.
