Punz hummed as he laid in the grass, rolling over on each side a couple of times before stretching out and yawning. His tail gently flicked as he closed his eyes, mooing to himself in happiness before slowly falling asleep in the sun. His flowers were so happy to get the sunlight, sighing happily as he slept in the sun. His eyes were peacefully closed, refusing to move since he was comfortable and happy with the way his life was going at the moment. He gently shifted every so often, dreaming about someone loving him for him and allowing him to be a touchstarved haphephobic person. He sighed in his happiness as he shifted slightly, his tail gently shifting.
Boomer had been hopping around (heh) most of the day as per his usual, of course being the confident social butterfly that he was. Now, don't get him wrong, Sapnap and Sam's company was just fine, and they all shared good laughs during their time together, but it wasn't the company he originally sought out at the start of the day. He was looking for someone in particular, a moobloom by the name of Punz; aka, secretly favourite friend. One could only imagine his surprise to find Punz sunbathing and sleeping out in the grass the same moment he had thought of him once again, earning Boomer to slowly approach his sleeping pal. "Ey, Punzo," Boomer softly called out to him as he made his way over, sitting down next to the relaxed figure. He didn't want to wake him up, necessarily, but if Punz was lightly sleeping then he could theoretically wake up from being addressed, but there was no foul with calling out to him to see if he would get a response, or, at least in Boomer's mind, there wasn't.
Punz stirred a bit but didn’t wake, shifting slightly and getting comfortable again before falling asleep again. He didn’t want to wake up, he just wanted to sleep. So he was going to do so, his flowers blooming peacefully as he took a soft breath and groaned out softly. He shifted again and opened his eyes blearily, looking up at his friend and mooing without realizing. “Huh…?”
"Oh, heyyy, sleeping handsome finally decided to greet me with a moo," Boomer lightly joked with an amused laugh, playfully prodding at the moobloom for his nature, though he didn't mean anything of it, as per usual. "Wakey wakey pisser, I've been lookin' everywhere for you I'll have you know. Ah, and Sapnap says hi and that he's pissy you haven't talked to him recently; gotta keep the chad squad together man, what're you doing ignoring a fellow chad?" He continued to lightly joke away, looking down at Punz with a warm smile. Just like you couldn't stop a cow from mooing, you couldn't stop Boomer from bringing his playful and chaotic good energy to the table.
“Uuugh shut up, BoomBox…” Punz gently complained as he sat up, coughing a bit and spitting out a flower petal before huffing softly and eating it again. He ate dandelions since he had tulips on him, staring at Boomer. “How’d you even find me? This isn’t exactly a public place.” He grumbled softly as he adjusted the flower crown he had on, rubbing his nose and repressing the urge to moo again as he stared at his friend gently. He was slightly confused, but at the same time, he loved seeing his friends, most of all Boomer.
"I got George to help me use black magic." Boomer answered, his voice dropping with intense seriousness as his face fell completely expressionless. He let the pause linger in the air for a few moments, silently observing Punz' reaction before he burst out into a slight laughing fit. "I was *hopping* around the place, and I left no stone unturned searching for you! Almost quite literally too, I got Sap and Sam to help me for like a whole *hour* to search for ya, Though, we didn't do as much searching as we did talking... Nonetheless! This was one of the few spots I hadn't looked at yet, so, boom, I found you." Boomer explained, vividly recalling his story with just as much energy as an actor, slightly swaying from side to side as he sat, his smile easily turning into a bright grin.
He raised an eyebrow at him before standing up and stretching, his shirt slipping up slightly before yawning and sighing. “Riiight…lovebirds.” He hummed out as he tied his hair up silently, his tail flicking as he picked a dandelion and bit off the head of it. He was slightly hungry anyways. He then tilted his head at him, sitting in front of him before reaching out to boop his nose.
Boomer merely rolled his eyes, soon letting out a frog-ish croak and sticking his tongue out once his nose had been gently poked. While he might not be a frog hybrid, he did so regularly that it was practically a subconscious stim at this point, always claiming he felt ''more frog-like'' doing so. "Heyyy, nooooo, Punzzzzz," He whined out, staying seated as he pouted for a few moments like a child would, staring up at Punz just behind the rim of his green froggy hat. "How dare you accuse me of infidelity; you know I love youuuu," Boomer continued in his whiny voice, using their on-going joke as an excuse to counter Punz' playful comment.
“I know you’re sucking *someone* off, Boomer.” He booped his nose again before chewing the dandelion head and swallowing it, eating the stem casually before trotting off and picking more dandelions for a snack. He was hungry, it wasn’t his fault he wanted food. He kept eating the flowers gently, humming a song to himself while inadvertently giving Boomer the perfect opportunity to hug him from behind.
"Pffff- you're just jealous of my body count, I know you are." Boomer swiftly retorted with another roll of his eyes, a lazy and loose smile gracing his face as he stayed seated in the grass. He peacefully listened in on the song Punz was humming, watching him from the small distance away he was before he got an idea. Silently snickering to himself, Boomer raised to his feet and, ever so quietly, snuck behind the moobloom, deviously smiling to himself. He then proceeded to tightly hug his back, clinging to his friend almost like a monkey would, now audibly snickering. "Boo, I gotcha- and you don't get the option to flee!! Unless you tell me you love me back, then I *might* consider it; kinda rude you didn't say it regardless though."
Punz's eyes widened before he glared back at him, his tail flicking softly as he huffed and mooed in annoyance. "Boomer, get off, I'm trying to get dandelions and I'd rather not have you humping me the whole time." He grumbled out as he squirmed in Boomer's arms, being stubborn and not wanting to say the words back to him. He then shifted his flower crown on his head in order to sit properly next to his horns as he huffed to himself, crossing his arms angrily as he ate another dandelion in playful defiance of his froggy friend. He gently sighed before looking back at him again, sticking his tongue out. "You're so dumb, Boomer. I love you." He chirped softly before sighing and sticking his tongue out further. "There, I said it. Happy, BoomBox? Phrogza?" He teased softly, then broke from Boomer's grasp in order to grab more flowers for himself to eat.
Boomer instantaneously let go of Punz to happily croak out a ribbit-y "Very!" in response, still snickering up a storm to himself while in his own little happy mental world. Hey, you couldn't blame him, it wasn't every day he got Punz to say it back after all, since most of the time the moobloom would either outright ignore him or dance skillfully around it. Of course the froggy fellow would be happy that he finally managed to coax it out of him, albeit with a forced hug. Boomer snapped himself back into reality when a small gust of wind readjusted his hat's position atop his head, swiftly fixing it so he was wearing it properly. "Want me to help you?" He asked after a moment of watching Punz gather dandelions, though he didn't need any form of answer, instead gathering up some without needing to be told. Punz needed a meal, so Boomer would help with that much at least, considering he had broken the other's personal boundaries a bit. It was a form of an apology, he supposed.
The moobloom sat down in the grass after a little while, beginning to eat the dandelions he had picked with a contented noise escaping him. He closed his eyes and enjoyed the delicious taste of the flowers, mooing softly after a moment and even wiggling a bit in happiness. When he was presented with the extra flowers, he blinked before looking up at Boomer. "You didn't need to do that." He mumbled as he took them, gently holding one and twirling it slowly as he hummed slightly nervously. However, after a moment, he took a bite of the dandelion in his hand as he sighed happily. He was hungry before, but he was happier now that he was getting fed. He opened his eyes and looked up at Boomer before slowly patting the ground beside him, offering the froggy man a seat. He seemed very happy to be around him, even if it was hard to detect.
Boomer hummed contently with himself, plopping down next to Punz as he was motioned to do so, sitting with his legs sprawled out in front of him, gently fiddling with his shoes. "Nah, you're right, I didn't, but I wanted to, so I did. Plus, you cook for me sometimes, it's really the least I could do." Boomer stated gently, letting his eyes drag from looking down at his feet to looking at his friend's face and pausing for a moment. It only showed for a mere milisecond, far too short for anyone to reasonably react, but he had another devious glint in his eyes, though it was tamer compared to his earlier one. Boomer quickly swiped up the flower crown on top of Punz' head and swapped it with his froggy hat, placing the flower crown atop his own head as he quietly snickered. It didn't match Punz whatsoever, which was what Boomer found amusing enough to snicker at, but he was curious to see what his friend would do in response. Hell, he was prepared to run to the hills if Punz ended up getting pissed, just to be safe.
Punz looked at Boomer before staring at him, not having noticed the bucket hat on his head at first. His tail flicked a bit as he stared at him, tilting his head. "...Mmmm...?" He hummed curiously as he scooted closer to him, booping his nose softly. He stuck his tongue out softly before leaning in and booping their noses on one another, giggling softly as he leaned back and fell on his back in the grass. It made him giggle happily when he got to do this with Boomer, even if he tried his best to not make it clear how much he liked flirting with him. Her eyes glimmered softly as he looked up at the sky, sighing softly as he laid his arm over his eyes, mumbling to himself and rolling onto his side silently. He sighed happily as he curled up a bit, happily sunning himself again as he yawned loudly. "mMmmMmMMnnaaaAAAAhhhh...~" It felt nice to do this, stretching out fully as he yawned, seeming to knead the air a bit and playfully moaning as he glanced at him. However, he suddenly choked and sat up, coughing softly for a little while before drawing his hand away from his face. Blood, his hand was covered in blood, and sitting right in the middle was a pure white petal.
Boomer let out a happy croak in response to the little bit of affection he was shown, a warm smile eating away at his face. He rolled his eyes hearing the playful moan, unable to help the red tint on his cheeks because, in his words, "any sane person would have about the same response" as Boomer did, though, to keep with their joking theme, he returned the gesture with a playful moan of his own, though it was mixed with a humored laugh. The froggy fella paused for a second when Punz erupted into a soft coughing fit, his playful gaze swapping to worry as he eyed him for a few moments. "Ayo, uh, you okay there Punzo...?" He asked in concern, his brows knitting together upon seeing the blood coating his friend's hand. He didn't ask anything else, fearing he already was intruding enough on Punz' privacy.
Punz stared at the blood in his hand, particularly the petal. He was confused, only having heard about things like this online. It took him a moment, but he looked at the froggy man for a moment before retching a bit and going back to his coughing fit. It took him a moment, but he managed to catch his breath as he stared at the petals on the ground. They were white, not yellow like the flowers he'd eaten, and he was suddenly struck with an aggressive fear as he swallowed heavily. "O...ow..." He rasped after a moment, swallowing again. "That really hurt..." He mumbled, dropping the petals on the ground and sighing shakily. The flowers on his back had begun to wilt in his sudden fear, it was a worrying sign.
Boomer silently watched, anxiety seeping into his posture as he slouched uncomfortably, both unironic and ironically mimicking the sitting frog meme's posture with his hands in his lap. Though, his worry only spiked as he kept a cautious eye on Punz, frowning a touch when he saw the white petals and the wilting flowers on his back. Much like Punz, he had only heard of hanahaki while on the internet and never ran into any definitive proof that it existed in reality, feeling immensely terrible for all the peoples' stories he had read, feeling ever worse for the moobloom. "Punz... Seriously, are you okay?? Do you want me to get you some water? I don't-" Boomer cut his sentence short, shutting his mouth for a moment as he scooted a little closer. "I don't really know *how* to help, but is there anything I can do? I didn't do much research on this kind of thing, honestly..."
"Ow..." He hissed angrily as he gripped his throat slightly, panting quietly before looking up at Boomer. "That hurt..." He mumbled out before stuffing his hands into his pockets, swallowing heavily as he tried his best to relax. "Are you okay?" He asked out, trying to deflect from his own problems as he smiled shakily. He didn't like the idea of Boomer being upset or hurt, and softly hummed as he managed to smile at him. The flowers just barely perked up, he couldn't handle how scared he was.
Boomer narrowed his gaze, firmly folding his arms together as his brows further knitted in worry, quickly becoming a concerned and grumpy froggy when Punz deflected the question he was asked. "No, I'm *not* okay because *you're* not okay, thank you very much." He stated blandly with a silent huff, his uncomfortable sitting frog slouch only becoming worse with the passing seconds. If there was something he was deathly more stubborn than Punz about, it was making sure the people he came to care for were alright, and dodging his concerned questions was never something he appreciated in general, but especially so whenever he got worried. He sat silent and motionless for a few moments, grumbling uneasily to himself while doing so, before tugging out a bottle of water from his jacket coat that he normally kept on himself and handing it over to Punz, or rather shoving it into his hands and expecting him to drink.
He looked down at his hands before sighing and opening it, taking a slow sip of his water as he sighed happily. It soothed his throat, honestly, and he closed his eyes before mumbling softly. He seemed more comfortable now, softly humming to himself before sipping more and more of his drink, draining the bottle before sighing and catching his breath. It'd gotten harder to breathe, and even if he was slightly panicking, he was trying his best to be calm as he closed his eyes and mooed softly. He wanted to stop Boomer's worrying, but he couldn't exactly do that without making himself stop coughing up flower petals. Easier said than done, Punzo...
Boomer let out a satisfied sigh of slight relief when Punz didn't readily argue with him about drinking some water, physically softening up a bit when the moobloom drank at it. At least he didn't have to immediately worry about Punz possibly losing his voice due to it getting scratchy from coughing up those pure white flower petals. Speaking of the flower petals, they mildly intrigued him given their stainless colour, and the fact it was his personal favourite colour, but he didn't comment on it, instead relieved that Punz wasn't coughing up them any further. For now, at least, he had to remind himself. "Are you going to be okay, Punzo...?" Boomer inquired after a few moments of silence, an uncomfortable vibe washing over him during that pause.
The moobloom gently laid on the ground, sighing shakily. "I don't know..." He mumbled before placing his hand on the ground, silently hoping that the froggy man would understand what he wanted and take his hand. He stroked his own hand as he looked down at the spots on his skin, finding childish excitement in how many spots he had on him. He sometimes called them little "bullseyes" or "stars" on him, it was often a source of the fancy cow man. He smiled happily as he sighed comfortably, closing his eyes in happiness. Sure, this might make him cough up more flowers if this was what he suspected, but he would deal with that.
Boomer quietly let out a froggish croak upon finally being provided an audible, non-diverting answer, and an honest one at that. It was all he really could ask for, especially given Punz' seemingly newfound condition, which earned Boomer to keep a closer eye on him than he typically would. The froggy man quietly picked up on Punz' silent want, though he didn't immediately act on it, hesitance written clearly on his face. He *wanted* to swiftly lay down with him and hold his hand, but what if he was the reason the moobloom had coughed up petals in the first place? ...Ah, don't be silly Boomer, he flirts with him all the damn time and they never mean much by it; maybe he just reminds him of somebody else. Yeah, Boomer told himself, that made a little more sense to him at the time. With a quiet sigh, he flopped down onto his back, grabbing and holding Punz' hand in the process, letting out another croak- a much happier sounding one this time.
"Froggy daddy-" He hummed playfully as he held onto him, forcing his coughing fits down and closing his eyes comfortably. It took him a little while, but he slowly pulled him close and began to softly stroke at his hair and arm. What? Boomer was smooth, and his hair was soft. He was perfect cuddle material. He nuzzled into him softly as he sighed happily, snuggling him.
Boomer blinked in soft surprise, though he easily came into satisfied terms with his new job of sorts to be Punz' cuddle bear plush- or, in his case, frog. So, he happily laid practically motionless, occasionally returning the nuzzling he got, while he croaked out joyously with another loose smile on his face. "Awwww, my discord kitten is finally warming up to me, how cuuuuteee!~" He playfully commented with a small snicker to himself, always finding the ''nickname'' he had given Punz to be funny; plus, it had a softly dirty context, and even Purpled knew how much he enjoyed dirty jokes. Sometimes he felt bad for the alien, admittedly, though that wasn't common given how often he'd just laugh it off. At least Punz *usually* wasn't quick to bark at him for his taste in humor.
"Awwww, daddy~" Punz played along before laughing softly, coughing once before clearing his throat and eating the petal he'd coughed up. He then nuzzled his cheeks sweetly, stroking them with his thumbs before attacking his face with more nuzzles. He snuggled up with him before sighing out and closing his eyes comfortably, his tail patting the ground comfortably as he relaxed out. "Mmmm..." He hummed lightly as he tried his best to stay calm and not get attacked by coughs.
Boomer croaked out comfortably, his voice mixed with a light laugh while he did so, unable to help the slight red tint on his face as he relaxed into their snuggle and returned the nuzzles he sweetly received. The froggy man let out a sigh once his croaking had died down, contently staying laid down as he kept a worried eye on the moobloom; hey, he couldn't help it, his worry had spiked just moments prior. "I never took you for the kinda guy to like younger fellas," Boomer lightly teased with a small snicker, pairing his joke with a gentle, quick kiss to Punz' cheek.
Punz's tail twitched softly before leaning in and gently nuzzling him, purring happily as he sighed happily. "Never took you for the type to enjoy cuddles." He hummed out before trying his best to keep his nose out of Boomer's reach, sticking his tongue out silently as he huffed gently. His little tail kept wiggling as he shifted softly, coughing again as he covered his mouth softly. "Ow-" He winced again as he took a soft breath, it sounded extremely shaky as he took his breath in slowly. He winced quietly as he ate the petals again, bringing them down to his stomach instead of letting Boomer see.
Boomer opened his mouth to snarkily reply to Punz' comment, but he ended up slowly closing it as concern filled his gaze once more and fell into an uneasy silence. The froggy man didn't speak a word for a few moments, or mutter much of any noise other than a quiet froggish bellow that mimicked somewhat along the lines of a anxious voice. He was hellishly uncomfortable with the idea of Punz getting hurt, despite the both of them quite literally being trained mercenaries capable of handling incomprehensible amounts of pain; some professional he was to get unsafely worried for his ''coworker'', he painfully joked to himself as if it were a job he'd end up dying from as a result for his concern. Boomer gently shook the thoughts out of his head after a few moments, letting out a croak to get Punz' attention, "Are you *sure* you're okay? You don't *sound* okay, not in the slightest..." He mumbled quietly with another found frown, tapping his fingers together to try and calm his uneasiness, even if by just a little. "Is it cause of me?... I can, uh, leave, if that'll help... I need to get in some water sometime soon anyways," Boomer half-asked, half-offered, taking a moment to readjust his frog-themed bucket hat on top of his head.
He looked up at Boomer in slight panic before shifting softly, clearing his throat to clear the rasp from his voice as he glanced away. "Oh...um...I don't know...but you can go and get in some water...I'll see you later." He mumbled as he let go of him, trotting away quietly as he tried his best to force his emotions down. He had definitely figured out that it was because of Boomer, but he was scared of what could happen if he told him. He just shook it off and went to see Sapnap, quietly sighing as he looked up at the blaze hybrid's door. Boomer had told him that Sapnap wanted to see him, so he'd gone to see his friend. At least it'd be a good distraction, he supposed.
Boomer fell back into his silence and watched Punz trot away for a few moments before letting out a sigh and getting up. Oh well, he'd get his answer eventually, but for now he had to find a pond or something of the sort before his skin dried out; specifically a clean one, too, otherwise his pure white and light grey outfit would get stained. Great, that was going to be a challenge. Boomer let out another sigh and swiftly got to searching, leaving the area behind him. Sapnap, being Sapnap, had one of the strangest, most accurate senses whenever someone was at the door, especially so when it was one of his friends. So, without a word, he went to answer it. Karl wasn't home at the moment, off on another one of his trips with James; they seemed to be a frequent thing the two would do, Sapnap noted. "Punz! There you are! Where were you earlier?? The fuck man, you're gonna just show up to my doorstep randomly? That's uncalled for," Sapnap lightly complained, though he stepped aside to let Punz inside if he wished to chat indoors.
Punz laughed softly before coming inside, clearing his throat and trying his best not to cough up another petal as he smiled hesitantly at his friend. "Sorry, I was just, um...chatting with...with Boomer." He hummed out as he sat on the couch, the flowers on his back wilting in his sadness over the fact that his new sickness was caused by one of his best friends. He sighed and ran his hands through his hair, even lightly tugging on his horns as he let out a soft whine. "Mmm..." He hugged himself tightly, closing his eyes and shaking his head aggressively as he sighed softly.
Sapnap raised a brow, softly closing the door behind Punz once he entered. "Ah, so he finally found you? Good, he claimed that he was two seconds away from giving up and giving Hannah a call," The blaze hybrid stated with a quiet laugh, sliding over to sit with Punz on the other side of the couch. He wasn't all that hospitable, but in all fairness, he made it clear his friends could help themselves to practically whatever he had available for them. "So, how're things? I'm surprised you even came over, don't you and Boom usually flirt till you both pass out once you guys chat?"
"Yeah, uh...about that..." He mumbled the last two words to himself, swallowing heavily before clearing his throat. "I um...there's a problem...something's wrong with me." He spoke up as he looked up at him, putting a hand on his chest. "It gets hard to breathe when I'm around him, and I've started coughing up flowers. I think I know what's going on, but I didn't think the disease was real." Punz looked concerned as he cleared his throat. "I was coughing up white petals, not yellow ones like on the dandelions I was eating. I don't know Boomer's favorite color...god I hope it's not white..." He sighed as he ran his hands through his hair, mooing in distress as he sniffled softly.
Sapnap stared up at the ceiling as he listened to Punz talk, eyeing one specific spot as he pooled *most* of his attention into what Punz was saying. He craned his neck to look at the moobloom upon hearing his distressed moos, a soft crackle of affirmation from the blaze hybrid confirming his fears. "Oh, uhm, you know how he wears it all the damn time?... Yeah, uh, there's a better reason than just simply liking the clothing itself- specifically, erhm, yeah... White's his favourite colour, dunno what else to tell ya..." He muttered out quietly and slightly awkwardly.
His ears drooped a little bit before he groaned, covering his face and starting to mutter to himself as he rubbed his face in stress. Everything was crashing down in his head as he kept trying to figure out how to deal with this, sighing shakily. "Oh gods..." He mumbled out before sighing again, hugging himself. "I don't want to get surgery, Sapnap, I don't want to lose all my memories of him..." He sighed out as he looked down, gripping his arms for a moment before looking at his stars to calm down, continuing to softly moo to himself as his ears kept twitching uncomfortably.
Sapnap kept his mouth keenly shut as he watch his friend's reaction to the information, softly frowning after a moment. He lightly drummed his fingers against the couch they sat on a couple of times, debating on whether or not to spill the precious information he had been trustingly told by Boomer. Sapnap decided against it, though nothing would hurt if he lightly danced around and hinted at it, right? "Isn't there, like, that other way of getting rid of it? Like, mutual love- isn't that the other option? I'm not saying I'm a love doctor *or* Hannah, but I'm like 99.8 percent certain that's a valid option to explore." Sapnap offered out after a second of though, soon adding on, "Though, I'm not sure if that's much comfort given I have the tendency to be wrong. I'd try asking Hannah if I were you, those two are like peanut butter and jelly; 'm sure she knows *something* at the very least."
"Because I'm pretty sure Boomer doesn't return the feelings, Sap. You know how he is..." He shrugged softly before sighing and tracing a circle on his arm, he gently sighed as he closed his eyes. "..." He continued to moo to himself, his tail swishing softly as he yawned and groaned softly, beginning to cough again as he covered his mouth. This just hurt, and he winced softly as he looked down at the petals on his hand. He sighed softly as he looked down at them, playing with the petals idly as he watched them silently slide around on his freshly blood-covered hand, taking a shaky breath. "Ow..." He hissed out as he squeezed his eyes shut, his lungs burning softly.
The only immediate audible response Sapnap provided was a soft hiss from a flicker of flame, hoisting himself off the couch as he went to grab a hand towel to give to Punz so he could at least clean up his own bloody mess. He returned to the living room soon after grabbing it, handing it to Punz as he sat back down, sighing as he did so. "I'm starting to doubt you as a chad, Punzyboo," Sapnap stated lightly as a joke, keeping his light-hearted responses as a constant as seriousness wasn't his forte most of the time. "Geez, do you even have balls anymore? You're the older of the two and yet your confidence is so fucking low- man, have you *seen* him flirting with anyone else? Trust me, Moo-moo, just ask, even if that means doing so indirectly by going through Hannah or I."
"...Really? Moo-moo?" He laughed softly as he held the towel, gently rubbing off the blood before sighing softly. To be honest, he wanted to talk to Boomer about this, but he was indescribably and unnaturally nervous. He looked up at him for a moment, then sighed as he cleared his throat. "Do you *know* if he feels a certain way for me?" He asked out as he played with the towel uncomfortably, his tail swishing softly as he hummed. His eyes glimmered softly as he watched him, tilting his head curiously while holding the towel to his mouth for a moment.
Sapnap hummed in affirmation, but, as he did earlier, he wasn't going to outwardly tell Punz. That was something between the two of them, not him, after all, he had that much common sense and courtesy. Though, again... Hinting never hurt anyone. "Mmhm, I know all too well, and he won't stop talking for hours until his point is as crystal clear as his favourite pond." The blaze hybrid said, vaguely hinting at all the nights he had stayed awake listening to Boomer go off on a positive rant about the very moobloom currently sitting next to Sapnap.
The moobloom's ear flicked curiously as he watched him, tilting his head curiously before he glanced down and began his himbo processing function. He was staring down at his lap as he thought about it, blinking quietly before standing up. "You're kidding. He doesn't do that." He seemed to be slightly in denial, staring at him a bit before his ears flicked as he groaned slightly at his own stupidity. He patted his head before smiling lightly, clearing his throat. "I'm sorry for being dumb- I need to go talk to him." He spoke out as he ran out of the house, trying to find Boomer's pond as he looked around curiously. He wanted to make noises to get his attention, but at the same time, he probably wouldn't manage words and probably'd just moo.
"Good luck!" Sapnap hollered out as Punz ran off, leaving the blaze hybrid one again alone that day. Oh well, he had some content to quietly snicker with Hannah about later, that was enough to satisfy him for the time being, though he'd definitely be checking up with Punz and Boomer later for an update. Boomer was, as predicted, hanging inside his pond, casually sitting in the middle of it with just his head above water. Just because amphibians could hold their breath for long periods of time didn't mean they could breathe it. He seemed calm and relaxed, enjoying his time dwelling in his favourite body of water.
The moobloom watched him for a moment from a distance before trotting closer and sitting in front of the pond, dropping a clean rock into the water gently. He gently leaned in and hummed softly, tilting his head at him. "Heyyy, Boomerr..." He hummed out as he smiled at him. Punz was a bit dumbfounded still, watching him for a moment before reaching out and taking the bucket hat off of Boomer's head. He then put it on himself, sticking his tongue out in a mimick of Boomer's favorite facial expression. What, he wanted to play with him as much as the froggy man likes to play with the moobloom. It made him laugh, and he smiled at him before humming. "Miss me?"
Boomer opened his eyes hearing a small splash in the water, mistaking it for a frog for a second as he croaked out. His eyes swiftly looked up to Punz the second he heard his voice whilst in mid-croak, it easily turning into a happy noise as he instantly smiled. "Punzo!" He chirped, sitting up a little bit so he wasn't nearly *as* submerged as he was moments prior. Of course, he took a moment to stick his tongue out in return during the process. "I don't see how I couldn't miss ya, you left so suddenly! Kinda made me sad,"
He hummed as he laid on his stomach casually, putting his legs up in the air a bit as he hummed softly, laying his head on his arms. "Mmm...mhm...look, I've got a question." He hummed out before poking his nose, smiling happily as he chuckled softly. He liked booping people's noses a lot, since his own nose was the trigger for happy moos sometimes, "So...uh...how do you feel about me?" He asked quietly, seeming a bit nervous as he shifted softly and adjusted the bucket hat on his own head. His cow tail swished softly as he watched him softly, seeming slightly concerned as he shifted a bit. He then booped his nose again, trying his best to keep this lighthearted as he stuck his tongue out softly.
Boomer blinked in mild surprise, a cat catching his tongue as he stammered for the right words, having never thought he'd ever get suddenly put on the spot like that, especially so when he wasn't prepared for it. He croaked out slightly uncomfortably while he sank back into the water until the lower half of his face was under the calm surface of the pond, staring up at Punz silently with tainted, rose-coloured cheeks. The froggy man needed a minute to choose his word choice carefully, that much was certain, which was rather uncharacteristic of him considering he always said whatever was on his mind. Not this time around, however, but he knew he'd have to answer Punz' question eventually. So, with one final croak, he forced himself to respond, plain and blunt, as he sat back up. However, he felt his lungs begin to burn with their proximity and how much affection he was giving. He felt so awful all of a sudden, and he took a shaky breath as he smiled at him. Of course, the disease was progressing, but at least it was still at least slightly mild at the moment.
Boomer hummed out happily, instantly nuzzling Punz back, even trying to return his headbutts to some extent, being much gentler however since he didn't want to hurt his head. He didn't understand the unique love language much, but he tried his utter best to reciprocate it respectfully and energetically. He billowed and froggishly chirped out in joy, gently putting their noses together while the few fellow frogs in the area that were awake made similar noises to him, though most of them were asleep as it was still daytime and frogs were nocturnal, excluding the poisonous ones of course. Boomer then took a second to think, pausing in his tracks, before slowly pulling away. "Wait, what about that flower sickness thingy?... Sorry, 'm forgetting the name of the disease, but, uhm, still,"
