Fundy calmly walked with a specific destination in mind, holding onto a supposed gift as he made his way to the prison. He always brought little, harmless things from the outside world during his visits; of course, he ran them by Sam first and let the creeper hybrid determine whether or not they were safe, as the neither of them wanted anything bad to happen. They became decent friends as a result, so Fundy could regularly visit Dream much more often and without as much supervision from the overprotective prison keeper. This time around, he brought an embroidered fall-themed scarf, figuring the extra layer of fabric to help keep warm would be greatly appreciated, plus, it was adorable too. Fundy walked up to the prison as he held onto his little gift, looking around for Sam to be let in. When he did finally find the creeper hybrid, he quickly got shooed away, being told that it wasn't safe there and that both Dream and Techno had escaped. Reluctantly, Fundy followed his friend's orders and walked away from the prison quickly, unsure of what to do now. He could return home to Yogurt, but Yogurt was being watched by Quackity at the moment, and he was sure to get numerous questions from his adoptive father if he returned home much earlier than usual. On the other hand, he also wanted to find Dream, but who knows where that masked man could be; Fundy certainly didn't have even a hint of an idea.
Dream peeked out from behind a tree before noticing Fundy, throwing a rock at him to try and get his attention as his eyes glowed from behind his mask. He wanted Fundy to come over to him, damn it! He hissed softly at him as he gritted his teeth, motioning to him as he huffed softly. "Fundy!" He hissed out as he looked at him, hiding back behind the tree as a searching beam swept over the land. Dream seemed to visibly tense at the beam, hiding behind the tree and quietly shuddering as he squeezed his eyes shut. He hated the idea of going back in there, running his hands through his hair as he gritted his teeth softly. "Fundy, Fundy, Fundy..." He whispered softly as he gripped onto his hair, looking out to see if Fundy was coming over to him. "Fundy!"
Fundy blinked upon hearing his name, his tail slightly floofing up from excitement when he recognized the voice that addressed and called out to him. He scanned the area as he kept casually walking, simply to play it safe in case Sam was keeping a close eye on him to ensure he got away from the prison without harm. He visually made the excuse to stop at some flowers in a little thicket nearby the tree Dream hid behind. Soon after he was in said thicket, Fundy whipped around to face Dream, sheer surprise and excitement mixing together into his otherwise happy expression. "What the hell are you doing out of the prison?? And where's Techno???" He asked curiously as he clutched onto the scarf he brought, though his tone mimicked a slight scold, both joyous and pissed that Dream escaped without Sam murdering him first.
"Shh-t!" Dream hissed hurriedly before offering his hand to the fox hybrid, giving him a desperate look. "Come on, before he searches the trees!" He whispered quickly as he kept his hand held out softly, his breathing picking up as he looked back at the prison in a panicked manner. He had learned to recognize sounds, and he was terrified that Sam would come do his usual sweep of the trees while he was reuniting with Fundy. He pulled the hybrid away as he ran to a cave, slamming his fist on a bit of rock which opened a tunnel. He then ran inside, looking back at Fundy to ensure he was following before running down the tunnel hurriedly. The way he was running was scared, panicked and swift, running to the only safe place he'd managed to make. He then placed a button down and pressed it, pulling Fundy inside before panting softly. It took him a moment to regain his breath, but he pulled Fundy close and held him there as he began to shake harshly. "Fundy...Fundy, I don't think I've ever been happier..." He whispered as he held him tightly, tears welling in his eyes.
Fundy was violently confused for a lack of a better description, staring at Dream as his brows knitted together to show just how puzzled he was. He didn't say anything at first, too busy letting his tongue flop out of his mouth as he himself tried to regain his breath from the sudden run. He pulled his tongue back into his mouth when his breathing stabilized into a more comfortable rhythm, but he was still visibly confused. "Happier? *Happier* that Sam will kill you on spot if he ever sees you again, I'd bet??" Fundy asked worriedly as his tail swished around from the stress that idea brought him, and, as much as he didn't like it, it was certainly a new reality to him; to the both of them, actually.
"Sorry, happier to see you, brain didn't- ehh..." Dream couldn't brain correctly for a moment, going over to a makeshift bed and sitting on it as he sighed softly. "Ugh..." He looked truly stressed out of his mind, his mask cracked and no longer showing a smile on it as Dream pulled it off of his head in order to flop on his back. His blonde hair was long and hopelessly tangled, he'd probably need a *very* short haircut when he left this place. He then looked over at Fundy before sitting up and holding his hands out, letting out the softest of whines. "Fundy, cmere. I haven't been able to hug anyone in...a while." Thinking about how long he could've possibly been there made his head hurt.
Fundy let out a soft sigh as his tail fell limp after a few more swishes. He obediently did as he was asked and walked over to the makeshift bed, taking a seat down to the now maskless man. The fox hybrid grabbed at the scarf he brought before simply wrapping it loosely around the other's neck, not bothering to take the time and explain it as he commonly gave Dream gifts whenever he was in prison. "This bed isn't very comfy, Dream..." He murmured in a jokingly disappointed tone, resting his head on one of his shoulders, "Mine's much more comfy... Maybe I can sneak you back home and hide you from Q... Yogurt would like that too, 'm sure of it."
He looked down at him curiously before thinking quietly, looking up at the scattered items he had around before nodding and quickly gathering his things into a shulker box he had. He then turned back to the hybrid as he smiled softly, sheepishly holding the box. "Can we go now? I know your house is away from the prison, Sam won't think to check there I think." He spoke quickly, seeming to get very jittery and nervous at the thought, mention or sight of the creeper hybrid. Or maybe it was Quackity he was scared of. That was much more likely, given what Quackity had done to him. He put his hands on a couple of scars he had gotten from Quackity, shuddering and squeezing his fist quietly. "Please, Fundy, now?" He begged softly, looking at him.
Fundy's ears softly pinned back while he glanced away and silently thought it over, giving it delicate and careful thought. It wasn't a half-bad idea, to hide Dream at his house, but he'd have to sneak Dream around Las Nevadas in order to simply get him there, and keep him hidden from Quackity on top of that. He let out a sigh and stood up, calmly readjusting the scarf he put on him whilst he hummed in consideration. "Fine, fine, but you're sneaking in through the back windows. I don't want papa duck to catch sight of you coming in through the front; he's babysitting Yogurt right now too." Fundy stated with another soft sigh, looking up to lock eyes with him. "You have to promise me you won't sneak off one day and get caught though. That's my one and only request,"
"Papa duck-? Oh." He nodded before following him quietly, hugging himself tightly to ensure he would stay stable. He seemed so nervous about the thought, but he looked over at him before sighing softly. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I don't want to seem so upset, I'm just scared..." He mumbled on and on and on about this and that to try and vent out some of his emotions, closing his eyes and sighing softly. "Jeez..." He whispered softly as he hugged himself. It was a weird look as he looked at Fundy, then suddenly hugged the fox hybrid from behind. He didn't want to spring it on him, but at the same time, he just needed the touch. It took him a moment, but he sighed before letting go of him. "Sorry. Just needed that, let's keep going..." He mumbled out before looking up at their path. Quackity was asleep when they got back to his home, the path through Las Nevadas being extremely simple since most people were either gambling, drinking or nursing their hangovers.
Fundy only nodded, gave Dream a slight nuzzle upon seeing him indirectly crave physical touch, and trudged onwards to his house. He was a little surprised to hardly see anybody on the streets, but then again, it didn't surprise him all that much given he knew what the people of Las Nevadas were like. After fumbling with his keys for a small second, he unlocked his front door and popped his head inside to see if Quackity was anywhere nearby. He was surprised to find him peacefully asleep, only smiling upon seeing his adoptive father sleeping, then motioning for Dream to quietly follow him inside before closing the door. He snuck the blonde up the stairs to his room, pushing him into it hurriedly just in case Quackity woke up at any moment.
Dream stared at him before smiling and hiding himself into a corner, Yogurt running up to Fundy with a loud yap. "Papa Fundy! Hi hi hi hi!" He yipped softly before reaching up to hug him, then realized the smell on him was familiar. The Prison, Sam, lava and...the weird man that Fundy kept spending time with. He looked up at him with a soft smile, shifting softly as he bounced softly. "Did Dream get me something, papa?" He asked excitedly, hoping that Fundy would say yes. Dream may have only been able to give Fundy rocks, but Yogurt always seemed excited by them.
Fundy instantly snapped his attention over to his son, smiling softly down at him before reaching out and gently picking him up only to ruffle a hand through his hair, playfully messing it up. "No, sadly he didn't get you anything this time, my little champion. But he did *seem* to like the scarf *we* picked out for him." He stated, adding light annunciations to a few words as slight hints towards Dream, knowing that, since Yogurt was just a kid, his son wouldn't think much of it. "Though he *should* have a biiiiiiiig surprise for you sometime soon to make up for not having another rock to add to your collection."
Dream's eyes widened as he listened, putting a hand on the scarf before smiling softly and letting himself have the softest of chuckles. Yogurt, predictably, thought nothing of the extra annunciations. What he *did* think much of, however, was the oddly heavy smell coming from Fundy's room. One that matched Dream's. It clearly confused him as he looked up at him, then leaned in to whisper. "Is there someone who shouldn't be in the house here?" He asked quietly, then glanced at Quackity as if to make sure he's still sleeping, which he was, before continuing. "Do you think we should go see him?" He mumbled to his father, hoping Fundy would understand.
Fundy slightly raised a brow before letting out a soft hum as he half-pretended to consider the idea. He then smiled a little more, gently running a hand through Yogurt's hair as he held him, ever so slowly making his way down the stairs as he spoke. "Sure, let's go pay the masked man a visit, my little champion. First, let's tend to our little patch of *garden* out in the farm though; we haven't watered the plants today yet." He stated, once again adding a little annunciation to his words to hint at Dream what he thought would be the safest idea to introduce the two. Soon after, he slid outside the door with Yogurt, gently setting the fellow hybrid onto the sand, walking with him to the community farm. Fundy trusted Dream enough to find a way to get out the house without waking Quackity on his own time, tending to the garden with Yogurt in the meantime as he expectantly waited.
Dream quietly watched Fundy before sneaking out of the house slowly, Quackity sleeping comfortably as Dream looked back at him. It took Dream a moment to control himself to try not to strangle Quackity, twitching softly before shaking his head and running to the garden where Fundy and Yogurt were. Yogurt was just holding a caterpillar before he looked up at Dream, who'd managed to make himself look semi-better by tying up his hair with a piece of fabric. The white fox hybrid stared at him before realizing his scent matched that of the one on the rocks in his collection, his eyes widening as he gasped softly. He then ran over to Dream, who quietly grinned as he went down on his knees. "Hey, Yogurt. I'm Dream." He offered a hand to the small hybrid, who quickly pounced onto Dream in a hug. "Hiii!! I've wanted to meet you foreverrrr!!!"
Fundy looked over when he saw Yogurt dart off suddenly, eyeing him before soon catching sight of Dream out in the light of day. Naturally, he couldn't help but grin, laughing a little to himself as he watched Yogurt pounce onto the blond and hugged him. "Yogurt, manners sweetie!" He reminded with a yap and a happy wag of his tail, shifting to brush himself off before walking over to the two. "Dream will be staying with us for the foreseeable future, Yo, but as always, you've gotta keep it top secret from granpy ducky, okay?" Fundy told his son, giving him a gentle pat atop his head before sitting down next to Dream, still smiling happily from ear to ear.
"Papa, it's him! It's him, it's him, it's himmm!!" He gekkered out before his tail wagged happily, closing his eyes as he giggled. Dream chuckled softly as he closed his eyes softly, letting his head drop onto the ground slightly. "Yeah, kid...can't be discovered, I'll go back to the bad place." He mumbled out, Yogurt looking up at him. He seemed to want to ask him about it, but noticed how Dream's face had contorted in faint pain at the thought of going back there. It took him a moment, but he nodded and rubbed Dream's cheek as his pure white tail swished behind him. "You're awesome. Papa tells me about you all the time!" He yipped, Dream chuckling as he rolled his eyes before looking at Fundy with a knowing smirk. "Hmm! That so, kiddo?" He hummed as he petted Yogurt's head.
Fundy hung his head a little bit as he half-covered his face with a hand as his tail curled around himself. Oh, to be softly called out by your own child, he never thought the day would ever come, and now that it was, he was filled with just as light embarrassment. "He likes hearing stories about all of the wars," Fundy stated as he let his hand drop after a few moments of having it hide his face from sight. "And since you were involved with virtually all of them, your name gets spoken of rather frequently. Especially your grand debut in the L'Manberg war, he loves hearing about it." He further explained with a soft sigh before he hugged his floofy tail to his chest.
Dream let out a soft chuckle before holding an arm out to Fundy, raising an eyebrow at him. "I got two arms, you know. Join us." He hummed out, Yogurt grinning softly as he looked up at him. "Yeah, papa, join us! Come cuddle!" He yipped softly as his own small tail swished behind him, sticking his tongue out. He just seemed oh-so happy to finally meet Dream, having slightly idolized him despite what he's done. Dream was his hero, and now he was holding him and petting him, it made Yogurt happy. Dream was also pretty happy, especially because he got to spend time with Fundy. He missed Fundy so much, and smiled at him softly despite his hatred of showing his face to anyone he didn't trust.
Fundy softly huffed, pretending to turn his nose to the offer briefly before scooting over without another word said, not needing to be told for a third or fourth time by either of them. He snuggled contently up to the both of them and smiled as he hummed out in sheer bliss. As expected, his tail couldn't simply stay still, so it flicked around happily for a bit before finally settling down as it wrapped around the three of them, presumably in the attempt to keep them close. Fundy looked down to Yogurt after a moment and halfway held his own nose shut, "He's kinda stinky, why didn't you warn me he needed a bath, Yog?" He playfully joked as he grinned a bit.
"Hey!" Dream scoffed softly before rolling his eyes, drumming his fingers on Yogurt's back as he tsked softly, Yogurt snuggling further into Dream. "Are you two gonna get real-married now?" He asked softly, Dream blinking softly before clearing his throat. "Uhh- not...yet, kid." He spoke out quietly, trying to reassure Yogurt while still denying his question, since he and Fundy had never had that conversation. They'd never had the chance, Dream had been dragged off to prison before they'd gotten to talk about it. His eyes glowed before he shook his head and looked away, letting out a stressed breath. He hated being without his mask, but his mask was broken and shattered and still in the shulker box back at Fundy's house. He seemed deeply disturbed, and Yogurt looked up at Dream quietly. "Dream?"
Fundy's ear softly flicked as he did nothing but listen and lean against Dream, strategically avoiding to answer Yogurts' first question as he sat silently. His ear flicked again when he heard the blonde's stressed breathing, eyeing him carefully for a moment. Ah, right, not having mask bothered him, Fundy remembered now. He sat up and casually began digging through his things, searching for something specific before pulling out a specific piece of cloth and handing it to Dream. It was a simple ski mask, which he probably stole from Ponk since the Lemon mayor was the only one in the smp who regularly kept ski masks, but he thought it would be better than nothing upon noting how distressed Dream seemed. Thankfully it was just a solid black one too and not one of Ponk's messy tricoloured ones.
He stared at Fundy before slowly placing it on his head as Yogurt stared at him, then gasped happily. "You look like Ponk!" He chirped happily as his tail twitched happily, he seemed so excited around Dream. The blonde obviously didn't like the smell of lemons on the mask, but he knew that he couldn't help it since it was probably one of Ponk's masks, and quietly chuckled as he looked down at Yogurt. "Oh, do I? Interesting." He spoke to the child casually, as if they were the same age, while also petting Yogurt's head softly. This seemed to make the fellow fox hybrid happy as he let out soft gekkers and yips, hiding his face into Dream as he nuzzled him softly. Dream seemed so taken with the lighter colored fox, gently rubbing his head as he sighed softly. 'I wish I could be around you more, Yogurt...' His thoughts whispered, sighing again as he held Yogurt and Fundy close to him.
Fundy smiled happily, softly humming a tune to himself as he fully relaxed, his tail promptly going limp as a result. "Sorry if it smells like lemons, I wanted to see if Ponk would notice if one of his masks went missing. He hasn't yet, ironically." He whispered to Dream with the fox equivalent of a satisfied purr, nuzzling both the blonde and the fellow fox hybrid affectionately a few times. "We should probably sneak you back inside soon, preferably before papa ducky wakes up. I can't imagine what he'd do if he ever caught sight of you out here in the open daylight of his own country..." Fundy advised in a murmur, slightly shaking at the mere idea of Quackity going back into his torturing arc, finding it ten times worse than either of their butcher arcs, especially since Dream was hurt as a result.
Yogurt whined before his tail swished, looking between them. "Can I help? I wanna help, papa!" He seemed to beg softly as he made baby fox eyes at Fundy and Dream, which made Dream let out a soft "aww" in response. He already seemed to love the child so much, leaning in and nuzzling at Yogurt's hair softly. "That's entirely up to your dad, Yogurt. He's the one housing us, after all." He chuckled as he winked at the young fox, humming as Yogurt giggled and cuddled with Dream. "I know! But granpa ducky's real easy to distract! Even I could do it!" He yipped out as he looked up at the two males, Dream looking at Fundy with a curious look. "Well? He seems to want to help, why don't we let him?" He asked curiously, ruffling up Yogurt's hair while holding him a bit closer in order to keep him from jumping up and cheering.
Fundy's tail softly swished upon seeing how attached Dream seemed to already be to Yogurt, softly smiling at the sight. He soon fell into thought after, though, giving the proposal that was pitched to him some decent thinking. Gosh, he was using his brain a lot more often today than he normally did, it felt a little weird to him since normally he didn't have to fully think things through. "Okay, my little champion, you can distract grampy ducky for us. Though you've gotta do it the best you possibly can, okay? Ducky might get very angry if he sees Dream, so we want to prevent that from happening as best we can." Fundy stated softly in a coddling tone whilst gently patting the top of Yogurt's head. Yes, he still coddled his son as if he were still a baby, and no, he didn't plan on stopping any time soon.
The younger hybrid let out a happy yip before Dream softly shushed him, the two of them rubbing cheeks gently for a moment, Dream then setting Yogurt down as he stood up. "Would you like to lead the way, you little pog champ?" He reached down and booped Yogurt's nose, making him giggle and squeal before nodding and darting off. Even Dream was slightly surprised by how fast Yogurt was, jogging after him and quietly grinning. He thought it was hilarious how eager Yogurt was to know him, and quietly looked at Fundy when they got back to the house. "So...how are we gonna..." He started before Yogurt shot inside, Dream's eyes shooting to the door in alarm as the sounds of Yogurt roughhousing with the sleepy avian inside began to come from inside. Dream took a moment before just letting out a soft chuckle, shaking his head. "That's one way to do it, I guess."
"Yep," Fundy softly smiled and hummed, more than used to the sound of Yogurt roughhousing with poor Quackity; sometimes he felt bad the avian didn't get much sleep whenever he stayed over, but this time around it was perfectly convenient for their situation. He grabbed at one of Dream's hands and led him around his house to the back door while explaining that it would be easier to avoid the sleepy avian this way, just in case. Fundy swiftly tugged him inside after pulling the door open, swiftly darting up the stairs to his room with him. He playfully and gently shoved the blonde into the room with a quiet laugh, his tail wagging happily from a successful endeavour and effort.
"Gah- Kid, the hell, that's my wing!" Came from down the stairs, Dream snickering softly before smiling at Fundy. "I'm not going anywhere." He mumbled before the sound of Yogurt's yips of laughter came as well, as well as Quackity's playful grumbles in Spanish as the Mexican quietly grumbled about the hybrid. "Little shit...'s your dad home?" He asked Yogurt quietly, to which the white fox hybrid pretended to think. "I dunno! It'd be a nice surprise though!" He yipped out, hoping Fundy would hear and understand what he was getting at. Dream did, however, and quietly shooed Fundy off. "Go, go." He whispered before closing the door, hunkering back into the corner and closing. He couldn't fully relax yet, but he was relaxing enough to fall asleep as Quackity and Yogurt kept talking.
Fundy smiled and gently gekkered as he silently bid Dream a goodbye with a kiss to his masked cheek before quietly walking back down the flight of stairs. He was lucky enough to know how to silently walk around without being heard, otherwise he was at least 50% certain he would have been caught coming down the flight stairs. Fundy strategically moved over to make it appear he had come from the back door, which technically he did, before strolling up to Yogurt and Quackity with a loose grin. "Heya papa, heya Yog, 'm home. Did he give you any trouble, Q?" He asked softly with a small laugh.
"Lil shit just woke me up by tackling me. At least he didn't bite me." He grumbled softly before holding Yogurt in his arms, his wings shifting and opening as he ruffled out his feathers swiftly. However, he handed him over and smiled happily as he put his hands in his pockets silently, tilting his head at him. "So, how's the Prison? Dream better still be in there...fvcker..." He cursed softly as Yogurt yipped out a soft "Language!" that went unheard by the avian, his wings ruffling again as he looked up at Fundy with a soft smile. "Oh, and Wilbur says hi. He's busy dealing with some paperwork for me, since he...owes me." He hummed softly as he crossed his arms, his wings flapping softly as Yogurt looked up at Fundy in slight confusion. "What's he mean, papa?" He asked curiously, Quackity sighing and shaking his head as he ruffled up Yogurt's hair. "Don't worry about it, kid."
"The prison is as good as ever, and Sam seems to be doing well. We played another game of uno to help him pass the time," Fundy answered casually, completely dodging the comment about Dream as he typically did, his ears folding in on themselves as he hummed. He gently rubbed at Yogurt's back, indirectly telling him not to worry about it as well. "But let me guess, you've got him working on your foreign affairs since you're, no offence, horrible with it?" Fundy asked with a soft laugh, "You used to hand those off to me any time you got them back in L'Manberg, it was kinda funny hearing your excuses as to why you did as well."
"Oh my god-" Quackity rubbed his temples before shaking his head and rolling his eyes, looking at Yogurt before the arctic fox hybrid squirmed out of Fundy's arms and ran upstairs. The avian looked at the stairs before shrugging and looking at Fundy again, raising an eyebrow. "No, Fundy, it's not foreign affair stuff. It's an expansion of Las Nevadas, we're going further into the desert." He hummed out casually, running his hands through his hair before beginning to preen his feathers as he closed his eyes. It seemed that it was something idle he did, looking at his wings closely before sighing softly. "I'm gonna need to get him to help me, there's more here than I can deal with..." He mumbled, momentarily forgetting about Fundy before looking up at him. "How is Sam?"
The fox hybrid watched his son scurry up the stairs before snapping his gaze back to Quackity, letting his tail wrap around himself as he stroked at his own fur, slightly cleaning it from any sand that might have gotten trapped under the autumn orange fluff. "Sam? He's... Well..." He hesitated for a moment as he looked down to his tail, quietly thinking about the best way to break the news. "He's stressed, as per usual, but uhm... Moreso today; *especially today*. He shooed me off after a while for my own safety, cuz, uhm..." Fundy paused yet again, his voice slowly becoming more and more soft and quiet as if he were scared to say something to Quackity or let Yogurt overhear. "His keycards went missing recently and he thinks Ponk is behind it, since Ponk has been the only person who's managed to ever successfully steal them from him... And he thinks, as a result, earlier... Uhm... That Ponk *freed* Techno and Dream from the prison. Or, they managed to escape without help; either way..." He murmured, trying his best to break the news gently.
Quackity's eyes widened softly before letting out a soft growl, gripping his fists as he shook his head quietly. "Ponk...damn it..." He quietly patted Fundy's shoulder before looking at him. "I need to go do something." He spoke out, walking over to the door as he sighed softly. "Las Nevadas could be in danger." He then walked out of the house, leaving Fundy to either follow him or go upstairs with Dream and Yogurt. Dream was gently stroking the small hybrid's head as he held him close, Yogurt slowly falling asleep as he let out a soft mumble to himself every so often. The blonde smiled down at him before sighing softly, stroking his cheek with a soft nuzzle being given to his forehead. "You're so precious, Yogurt...I'll protect you as much as I can, I promise..." He mumbled out to the hybrid as he held him closer, rocking back and forth softly in order to bring Yogurt to sleep, which slowly worked. Dream had, in fact, gotten out with the keycards, but Techno refused to leave for a while.
Fundy warily watched Quackity leave the house, stepping forward to gently close the door behind him after he decided he'd stay put for the time being. He stood there, watching Quackity from the window for a moment, merely witnessing him walking away before turning around and walking away himself. He slowly trotted his way up the stairs, brushing his hands up against the stair rail, almost solemnly making his way back to his room. Or, well, he supposed it could be considered his and Dream's room now, if he really wanted to get technical. The fox hybrid slid into the room as quietly as he had walked up the stairs, smiling softly at the sight of Dream cradling the sleeping Yogurt. "Hey," He greeted simply and quietly, not wanting to be too loud and accidentally wake his son up.
Dream looked up at Fundy before holding Yogurt softly, sighing gently as he smiled and patted Yogurt's head gently. "I missed you, Fundy." He spoke softly before shifting Yogurt on his lap, making sure he's comfortable as he continued. "You're still handsome, you know...?" He spoke out as he looked at him quietly, sighing to himself while doing so. "I'm glad you're...okay..." He mumbled before his eyes glowed behind his mask softly, looking him up and down in confusion before holding onto Yogurt softly. "I...still love you, you know..." He mumbled softly as he watched him, his hands continuing to hold onto Yogurt before quietly hugging him. "I want to be here for you and Yogurt, Fundy."
Fundy watched him quietly, lightly leaning against the doorframe as he hummed out. He walked over, and ever so delicately took Yogurt from Dream, holding him gently as he looked at the blonde. "That sounds suspiciously like a proposal of one of your random ideas," Fundy lightly joked, soon excusing himself from the room to properly put Yogurt to sleep in his own bed, sweetly tucking the fellow fox hybrid under his covers before walking back. He sat down next to Dream, pulling his tail into his lap and run his fingers through the fur, once again that day cleaning it. "You've got something in mind, don't you? So, what's on your mind?"
Dream looked up at him before staring at him, seeming to get slightly nervous before sighing. "You, Fundy. You're on my mind." He spoke, looking at him before Dream looked down to the floor, sighing softly. "But it makes sense that you wouldn't want anything to do with me..." He mumbled out as he hugged himself tightly, looking away from him as he closed his eyes softly. "I just missed you so much, I didn't mean to hurt you when I did." He whispered softly as he hugged himself tighter, leaning back against the wall with a soft mumble to himself. He just wanted to be around Fundy, but was too nervous.
Fundy took a moment to pause, eyeing Dream before letting out a sigh of his own. still brushing through his tail. "I literally swiped you from your rinky-dinky dirty hide-out and took you home with me, snuck you past my sleeping father not once, but *twice*, introduced you to my son properly, and you *still* think I don't want anything to do with you?" Fundy questioned, baffled by the mere idea he would do any of that if he didn't want anything to do with Dream. He shook his head as he softly laughed, finding the idea amusing if anything. "You're weird Dream, y'know that?"
"I don't know what to trust anymore, Fundy." Was all he said before sighing and covering his eyes, wanting so badly to just fall asleep with Fundy in his lap or on top of him as a comforting weight but not trusting the world at all at the moment. How could he, especially when he was here? He shook it off before looking at Fundy, eventually just holding out his arms for him as he shifted softly.
Fundy blinked a few times, shaking his head softly once more as he smiled. "Awe, can't you trust little ol' me? I know I'm a fox hybrid and all, but that doesn't mean I'd trick you," He delicately commented as a joke. He then shifted a bit to plop himself into the other's arms, humming contently with himself. He truly was happy like this, letting his tail swish around contently at his side.
Dream seemed a bit confused, then smiled softly as he reached up and placed a hand onto Fundy's head with a soft sigh. He closed his eyes again while stroking Fundy's head softly, rubbing his fingers into his hair softly with a soft sigh as he leaned his head back. "Mmmm...This is comfortable..." He mumbled out, petting Fundy's head gently as he slowly relaxed. He wanted to pet Fundy's tail, but didn't dare invade his privacy like that.
Fundy merely hummed in response as he gekkered and purred, too cooped up inside his own head to give a proper auditory reply, mentally squeaking with happiness at the fact he was being petted. He hadn't bet genuinely pet by anyone in such a long time, so of course, he melted into the touch he was given, becoming nearly as malleable as putty or clay. Fundy quietly laughed to himself upon thinking of the sheer irony of that fact, his tail only wagging faster as he looked up to Dream. He still didn't say anything, instead trying to wiggle his tail in front of the other's face as an indirect manner to try and get him to pet more and more of him, absolutely adoring the touch.
Dream looked down at Fundy before reaching up and petting Fundy's tail, stroking his fingers through the autumn browns and rusty reds that made up Fundy's fur color. He looked down at him while tilting his head slightly, then leaning down and kissing his nose sweetly with a soft chuckle. "You're so cute, you know that? Just a little fluffy gekkery boy." He ruffled his hair softly as he chuckled lightly, nuzzling into him as he mimicked out a purr while smiling happily.
Fundy only managed to hum out again, letting his ears flop down as he gekkered and purred blissfully, grabbing his own tail and softly kneading at it as if he were a cat, soaking and lapping up the attention greedily. If this was his personal heaven, he certainly never wanted to leave anytime soon, or ever for that matter. The fox hybrid let out a squeaky yap after a bit of nothing but kneading his tail and purring, planting a kiss to Dream's cheek as he continued to smile happily.
Dream chuckled lightly as he leaned in and nuzzled him again, picking him up softly before placing Fundy down on his bed in order to cuddle with him more comfortably. He hoped it'd make them both more comfortable as he climbed in beside him, petting his fur softly as he sighed happily. He then kissed his nose again as he mumbled out quietly, beginning to describe things to him. His feelings, what he'd done when he got out of prison, that sort of thing.
Fundy fell into a comfortable silence as he listened contently to everything that was kindly described to him. He cuddled ever closer to the blonde, eventually simply giving up on his quest to be closer as he settled for laying atop him instead, his tail happily wagging a bit as a result. The fox hybrid seemed tired, probably tired from the lack of sleep he got the night before, gently nuzzling at Dream a few times before letting his tail down limp. It was like somebody flipped a switch off in him, as he was out like a light in the blink of an eye, peacefully snoozing away.
Dream watched him before rubbing his head, closing his eyes and sighing out before purring to himself, holding him close as he slowly fell asleep. He seemed so comfortable now, sighing softly. "Mmmmm..." Dream slept until around three in the morning, when Yogurt shot up from a nightmare. The hybrid knocked on the door, and Dream moved Fundy off slightly before walking over to it and opening it quietly. "Yogurt? You okay?" He asked out softly, kneeling down and pulling the small hybrid close. "It's okay, honey, what's wrong?" He asked softly, Yogurt looking up at him before sniffling. "I-I had a dream that you and papa got hurt and disappeared.." He whimpered, Dream sighing and rubbing Yogurt's cheek. "Oh, sweetheart..."
