Fella yawned as he woke up, letting out a soft groan before rubbing his eyes. His vision was blurred, and he let out a soft bleat as he got up to brush his teeth. He couldn't feel Friend snuggled up to him anymore, so he quietly took care of himself as he looked up at the ceiling. "Hng...it's too early..." He whispered to himself, then closed his eyes and leaned onto the sink quietly. "Ughhh...fuck this..." He mumbled before walking out of the bathroom and flopping back onto his bed. He quietly tried to go back to sleep, not expecting his ball of sunshine of a friend to wake him back up.
Friend had woken up early as per his usual that morning, being an early bird at nature, or rather an early sheep if one really wanted to get technical. The sheep hybrid got ready for his day, brushing out his curly hair and getting dressed up. Of course, he slipped out of the house to meet up and chat the early morning away with Yogurt, the only other person he knew to be awake at that time of day. Friend returned when the sun was properly shining after bidding Yogurt goodbye for now, sliding inside Fella's room and drawing the blinds open after seeing him still asleep. "Wake up, wake up, it's morning time!" He said cheerfully, gently nudging Fella to try and further get him to get up.
"Friend, it's too earlyyyyyyy..." Fella grumbled softly as he hid his face in the sheets quietly, looking up at him after a moment. "I don't know how you can wake up this early, Friend..." He grumbled before sitting up, sighing softly while rubbing his eyes quietly. "I don't understand..." He then shook his head, crossing his arms as he gave the other a light glare. "Hmph. Did you get breakfast already, or do I gotta make you take care of yourself again, dumbass?" He grumbled as he moved close to him, pulling him into a hug as he ruffled up his hair. He knew Friend wouldn't exactly like that, but he liked watching Friend huff at him. He found Friend's anger funny, especially with how soft the other hybrid was.
Friend quietly yelped when he got pulled into a hug, softly grumbling and huffing when his oh so carefully made hair got fluffed up. "Heyyy!! I took the time outta my day to make my hair earlier, you meanie!" He whined, pulling himself away from Fella as he huffed and puffed while crossing his arms in a soft pout of anger. It also covered up the fact he was avoiding Fella's question, having not eaten anything that morning; he did have a cup of tea, which he supposed was better than nothing at the very least.
Fella raised an eyebrow at the avoidance of his question, leaning in and pinning him against the wall as he huffed softly. "You didn't answer my question. Did you have breakfast?" He asked again, but more sternly this time as he raised an eyebrow at him. He wasn't going to ask again, if Friend was lying to him, he was going to feed him. He seemed a bit stern now, raising an eyebrow at him with a soft bleat. "Come on, Friend, you have to eat breakfast. Otherwise, you might get shaky." He sighed softly as he watched him, raising an eyebrow before nuzzling his cheek softly.
Friend quietly whined, adverting his gaze as he huffed once again. "Do I haaaaaaave to?? I can skip a few meals if I wanna, I'm a responsible adult, don't you know. Plus, I can always just eat more later." He stated as he further crossed his arms, looking for every possible excuse to get out of being forced to eat. Though, secretly, he just liked knowing that Fella cared enough to make sure he ate something.
"Come on, Friend, don't make me force-feed you." Fella huffed softly as he stared hard at him, raising an eyebrow before gently pulling him off the wall and leading him into the kitchen/dining room. "Do you care what I make, or not?" He spoke out gently, leaning in and gently headbutting him after a moment as he smiled softly. "You know I'm gonna just make something baa-d on purpose." He teased him with the pun, grinning at him as he let out a soft chuckle and stuck his tongue out softly.
Friend rolled his eyes at the pun, letting out another huff as he kept his gaze elsewhere, too shy to actually make eye contact. "Please don't, I'd rather not get food poisoning, thank youuuuu." He joked back with a quiet sigh, quietly thinking to himself for a moment as he unfolded his arms, putting them behind his back as he rocked on his feet a little bit. "...Waffles would be nice, though." Friend stated just to spite the other, knowing that there was zero chance he could make waffles without his wheat allergy acting up. Even he had his own forms of "cruelty", though it still was excessively soft compared to what others would call "cruel".
"How dare you." Fella stated with a soft huff, but rolled his eyes and quietly tried to figure out how to make waffles without his allergy flaring up for the sake of his friend, drumming his fingers on his arm as he huffed softly. "You know I have allergies, Friend, how could you do this to meeee-" He playfully huffed as he looked at him, raising an eyebrow at him as he sighed softly. "Oh boy, how am I gonna make this happen..." He mumbled as he ran a hand through his hair in his thought, legitimately thinking about it as he closed his eyes quietly. "Hmmm..."
Friend smiled innocently up at the fellow sheep hybrid, giggling softly as he took a few steps out the kitchen/dining room area. He paused before he left, looking back at Fella briefly, "You don't have to make waffles, that was a joke! I'm fine with anything you make as long as it's decently sugary and comes with a side of cotton candy milk," He informed before sliding into his room and closing the door softly behind him, momentarily leaving Fella alone to change into something else. Specifically, a dual-tone hoodie and torn-up jeans that looked like pink and pastel red were hurled onto both of the articles of clothing. Friend was curious to see the other's reaction, since the other usually wore red, and he himself wore mostly blue, never really bothering to wear red things. Though he finally convinced himself that buying something that wasn't his colour was a good investment, all for the sake of Fella's reaction. He slid back out of his room after changing, silently walking back before sitting at their little breakfast nook.
The sheep hybrid sighed before starting to carefully make food, making sure that Friend's was much more sugary, even going so far as to put some candy into Friend's food before plating it up easily, humming to himself before placing the plate down in front of Friend. He didn't seem to notice the color before it truly caught his eye, looking at him before staring at him silently. His mind was trying to compute this now, staring at him and the clothes, thinking quietly before he quietly flushed and went back over to the kitchen area and tried to hide how red his face was. He was just so happy that Friend was wearing his color!
Friend smiled warmly at the reaction he was displayed, his tiny little stub of a tail happily wagging a touch as his eyes tracked Fella as he walked back to the kitchen area. Yep, buying something that was the other's colour was definitely worth it, maybe he'd wear it more often. "Thank you for the food! Can I have my milky too, pleaaaase?" He softly pleaded, refusing to start eating without a glass of his beloved cotton candy milk, absolutely hooked on the stuff.
Fella quickly ran back in with the cotton candy milk, having purposely made it red just to see Friend's reaction. Of course, it was still the same flavor that Friend always liked, and he looked at him curiously. Of course, he placed his plate down and sat down with him. He then played with his food slightly as he continued having a slight mental breakdown at how cute he looked in a light pink hoodie, shifting softly as he swallowed gently. It just made him think about the sweater he had that was in Friend's color for when he felt lonely, taking a bite of his own food as he shifted.
Friend bleated happily upon getting his cherished cotton candy milk, eyeing the newfound red colour for a small second though it didn't change his eagerness to sip away at it that he always had. He politely and cleanly ate his food, humming contently to himself as he smiled. Of course, he kept an eye on Fella, absolutely adoring all the indirect attention he received as a result of his wardrobe change. "What do you think of the hoodie?" Friend asked eventually, sipping at his milk once more, "I personally think it's pretty cute, Yorgurt helped me find it; there was a different pink bunny one at the place I was shopping at, but it had a little too much white in my opinion and not enough proper colour."
Fella quietly tried not to choke on his food at the question, quietly clearing his throat and looking away as he tried to keep his composure. Of course, he didn't want Friend to know how excited he was to see Friend wearing his color, but it was *pretty* clear that he liked seeing his crush in his color. He loved it, even, and he quietly looked at him as he thought for a moment. "I think you look cu- um- nice, in red." He cut himself off swiftly, mentally cursing himself as he continued to eat his food quickly. He needed to make sure that Yogurt wouldn't do this to him again, it was too flustering. He just hoped that Friend hadn't found his blue sweater in his closet, even if he didn't think Friend would go closet-diving.
"I'm glad you think so!" Friend smiled, satisfied with the answer he was given, quickly finishing up the last of his food and drink. The sheep hybrid wasn't dumb nor was he a himbo; he suspected all too accurately how much Fella enjoyed seeing him in the other's colour, but he wasn't going to fish for too many compliments, more than happy and content with what he was able to get. He simply stood up after finishing his meal and walked over to place his dishes in the sink to be properly cleaned later, rinsing them down first to make the cleanup easier. "So, what would you like to do today?" He asked curiously, lightly leaning against the kitchen counter as he looked to Fella for an answer.
Fella stood up and followed him, putting his hand down on the counter near him as he tried his damn best to seem nonchalant. He thought for a moment as he hoisted himself up to sit on the counter quietly, trying his best to focus on what he wanted to do instead of how cute Friend looked in his color. "Uhhh...I could take you to a flower field?" He had some strong antihistamines on him, so he could most definitely deal with the pollen and other such that he had to deal with when he was around flower fields. He hated them, but Friend seemed to love them, so he dealt with it as best he could. He preferred candied flowers to live ones.
Friend gasped quietly as he perked up, staring at Fella for a few moments with an excited sparkle in his eyes, opening his mouth as if to quickly approve of that idea, but he hesitated. He slowly paused, taking a moment to stop and think, "Are you sure about that? I mean, I'd love it, don't get me wrong, but your allergies could act up around all that pollen..." Friend murmured quietly, slightly sinking into the countertop he leaned against, a conflicted expression falling on his face as he continued to think.
"Oh. I have something I can take that could probably help. I know you like flowers, Friend, I want to make you happy." He mumbled the last part more to himself as he gave him a slight smile, humming to himself casually as he stuck his tongue out softly. He was truly a bit more affectionate now, thrown off of his balance by Friend's new attire as he thought to himself quietly. He seemed excited to look at him, tilting his head and looking at him happily.
Friend was quick to perk up and even quicker to grab one of his hands and try to gently pull him off the top of the counter. "Well, let's go then!! What're you waiting for? We only have 8 more hours of sunlight before the sun starts to set, after all!" He exclaimed excitedly as he happily bleated and giggled away, jumping at the opportunity he was given.
Fella let out a soft laugh before taking an antihistamine quickly, then following him out of the house. "Alright, alright, I'm coming, I'm coming, sheesh!" He laughed quietly as he hummed softly, holding his hand and looking down at it quietly. Their hands were close now, and he seemed very curious about what this feeling stirring in his chest was. He was a big tough guy, not some soft wooly sheep like Friend was, without any offense meant to the other sheep. He wasn't soft, he was rude and strong and mean. And yet...? He felt so utterly soft at the moment, it almost made him want to slap himself in order to make sure he was awake.
"Lead the way, oh great knower-of-where-flower-fields-are Fella!" Friend chirped out with another mix of a bleat and a giggle. Of course, he followed after Fella much like he always did, but this time he happily skipped around instead of merely walking, overjoyed by the fact they were holding hands. Did he particularly care that he could easily be read like an open book at the moment? Nope, too busy simply being happy he was being taken somewhere he was bound to enjoy, holding hands with Fella being a candied cherry on top.
Fella rolled his eyes and lead him to a field filled with flowers, letting go of his hand as if to release him into the field as he chuckled softly. "Here we are. Go nuts." He crossed his arms softly as he glared down at the flowers, then decided to pick some just to make candied flowers later. Nobody said the flowers had to be USELESS to Fella, and he hadn't had candied flowers in a while, he could share them with Friend. Life could be good, and he could share one of his favorite things with Friend. Things were good.
