» Past « →Y/N and Iris were not the closest of friends when they were both kids, Y/N and many others used to always tease Iris for being the shortest, the fattest, and the "smartest" in the school then. As the years went on, the bullying only got worse and went on into high school. However, once in high school, it only lasted one year because the severity of the bullying forced Iris to move away and she wasn't heard from again. . » Present / Senario « →Y/N goes to employ at a company. Since she'd moved away from her old high school where she'd been bullied to the point of severel kinds of attempted suicide, Iris had never been the same. Because added to this there were levels of deep emotional abuse and trauma at home which only served to make matters worse. It was only after she moved out at the age of sixteen- or kicked out rather- that she was finally able to go into therapy but even then she had already built walls, become emotionally distant. Some have accused her of not having a soul because of how detatched she was from her emotions. She became cold. But not entirely unkind despite her unsympathetic nature.
After a time she made it into the Eysuqui workforce. A world-renouned corporation dealing in several brached-out franchises, including food, weapons, and energy. In one branch of this corporation she made her way near to the top and was currently working as the main Supervisor for her branch. She saw personally to the hiring done and single handedly increased her branch's productivity by a whopping 70%, and even then she makes sure to involve herself in the labouring work that her staff does. She'll be working alongside and supervising them six days out of the week. Today she was in her office taking interviews.
As she sat in her office the inercom rang. [+darkblue "Miss Merqoi, you have an interviewee waiting here to see you"]
She felt an odd chill and took a deep breathe, looking out one of her office windows at the view outside then out another which overlooked the production of their products all for a moment before turning around and pressing the intercom. [+crimson "Go ahead and send them up to me, Elizabeth, thank you."] She said calmly and turned back around in her chair to observe the view outside once more. [+maroon 'today is going to be interesting... but I'm not sure why...'] She thought quietly
When she heard the door open and close behind her with a soft [i click] she turned around in her chair again and was about to speak when she recognized who it was. With a sudden bitter taste in her mouth, she narrowed her eyes and looked at them [+crimson "Oh..."] there was a pause [+crimson "it's you..."] She sighed, forcing her demenor to remain solely professional.
She immediately raised a hand to stop him [+crimson "Whatever happened in the past is unimportant."] She said matter-of-factly and set her arm down on her desk and looked at him, her voice had come off cold. It was obvious she had become that. Cold.
Like with every interviewee, she would search for the reasons why she should and shouldn't hire him and read his every movement as well as analyze his every word. Seeming cold and cruel for the interview and would only relax- kind of- when the interview is over. [+crimson "Which job had you come to apply for?"] She asked simply. Fully aware that her method of walk-in interviews was odd to many people but she was never questioned as corporate seemed to be aware of her odd yet somehow effective methods.
She narrowed her eyes coldly at him [+crimson "If you do not care, why should I hire you for any position?"] There seemed to be nothing more aggrivating to her than someone presumably coming in to waste her time. Though her temper would remain tame as she had merely asked two questions and has yet to see his intentions.
She continued to stare at him with slightly narrowed eyes [+crimson "Well instead of sulking- tell me which position you are looking for and state your case. Your strengths, weaknesses, [i why should I hire you]?"] She sat back in her chair. [+crimson "And don't try any pity party statements either. Keep it 'matter-of-fact' and don't waste either of our times any more than necessary."]
She thought about it a moment [+crimson "I believe we have a place- though I would like to see some examples of your work before making any decisions- as well as target demographic for these animations and games. Statistical evidence of their success would be helpful as well if you are able to provide it"] She appeared to calm down though her tone remained all business.
She frowned some and looked at him [+crimson "100,000?"] she sat back in her chair again, thinking. [+crimson "well how often do you work on animations and games? What can you say about your productivity in this feild?"]
[+crimson "One a month is doing quite well for someone like yourself. Even big animation corporations may work on creating one episode for months using teams of animators and story board artis-"] she cut herself off and shook her head. Clearing her throat she sat up in her chair again. [+crimson "Right- well... I suppose it wouldn't hurt to give you a one month work trial being payed the minimum wage. Depending on how well you do will determine whether you stay or go."] she sighed, finally looking away from him and to the papers on her desk. Pushing away the past memories that threatened to resurface since he'd stepped into the room.
[+crimson "Right..."] she mumbled and looked down at the papers on her desk again as a hand subconsiously went up to feel the horns on her head- one of which was broken- but she quickly jerked her hand away again and stared down.
Not much needed to be said and the appointment was made for tomorrow. She sighed and looked through the photo's on her phone from before a dumb prank broke of one of her horns and she had been disowned by her parents. She thought back to highschool and sighed, shaking her head. [+crimson "Doesn't matter anymore... past is the past..."] she mumbled
She stared at him absently, her eyes cold and narrowed at him. [+crimson "I already said I dont care to hear anything about the past"] She looked down and set her hands in her lap, beginning to fidget with her hands/fingers.
After a while she put the cake away into her office mini fridge, took off her coat and put on a work vest then went downstairs to work with the engineers creating floor plans for new extentions to be made on the facility.
As she helped out and congregated with the workers she managed to relax a bit. [+crimson "perhaps if we extended the east wing and added a few more dormatories- A proper break room is deserved after all and should the need arise it will provide housing for you all in the case of an emergency. Personal or otherwise-."] she said calmly, adding a few lines to adjust the floorplans of each room design.
Her ear practically twitched as she looked up at the sound of shouting. She recognized the voice too and ended up sighing. [+crimson "Do keep up the great work guys"] she walked out and down the hall to the computer and programming rooms. With a knock, she leaned on the doorway and gazed at Tom steadily, crossing her arms and giving him a- care-to-explain? kind of look.
