A yawn escaped his lips as he clacked away at his computer. Booker glanced at the clock that sat next to his bed, the glaring red text said it was 8 AM. His overnight security work had ended at 6 AM and he hurried home to scroll through his usual sites. He had a particular interest in the paranormal, the after life, and all things non-human. Booker wasn't always one to believe this stuff, but that warehouse really started to change his mind. From the strange noises to the shadowy figures just out of view, he slowly began to take interest and wanted to learn more about the paranormal.
His searching landed him on a forum. It was simply titled '[i Ghost Forum]' but thousands of users logged on every day to post everything from pictures, audio clips, to just plain encounters they all experienced with 'ghosts'. Booker wasn't normally one to post, just to lurk and read, but this morning was much different. During his shift he managed to capture something strange when he was about to exit the restroom, a shadow head that appeared to be peaking around the edge of the doorway. Booker managed to quickly snap a picture, almost delighted, he wanted to share it.

'[i I had been feeling like someone's been watching me at work. Maybe this is proof I'm not crazy? Tell me I'm not the only one who can see the head by the door.]'
Booker hesitated over the post button. Why was he nervous? This was a forum for people who ate this kind of thing up. Finally, he pressed 'post' and turned off his monitor, he had a few errands he needed to run before going to bed for the day.

Alarm blaring, Booker woke up at about 8 PM. His shift started at 10 PM until 6 AM, but he tried to get up with a little time before work. He glanced at his computer, maybe he should check if anyone saw his post? Booker decided to just shower, eat, and head over to the warehouse to relieve the daytime guys.
"[b You got a new guy on the night shift tonight, don't you? Normally a dayshift worker?]" his portly co-worker, Charles, asked.
"I suppose." Booker replied blankly, sitting down in the security room littered with monitors and coffee cups. "I'm surprised they even added a second guy to overnights. Not like I can't handle it alone."
"[b Maybe they thought you were going crazy, what with being alone all night in a dark security room.]" Charles belly laughed before slapping Bookers shoulder. "[b Welp, I'm outta here. Have a goodnight, Booker.]" "Night." Booker watched on the screens as Charles waddled his way down the hall and out of the warehouse. His new overnight partner should be there any minute. Maybe having company wouldn't be so bad after all.

9:30 AM
Louella took her time rolling out of bed. Even though she was a full grown adult, she still had trouble getting out of bed in the mornings and getting to her college classes. Luckily, she didn't have to be there until 11, but the young girl had been promising her roommate to get up early for once and be the one to brew coffee. She hoped today would finally be the day to live up to that promise!
She quietly tip toed down the hall as to not wake her roommate, if that girl was even asleep, and made it down to the kitchen. Louella cleaned out the pot, added water, put in a new filter with fresh ground coffee beans and hit start. Soon, the smell of fresh coffee filled their little apartment.
"Coffee soon!" She hollered in a sing-song down the hallway to her roommates still closed door. Louella popped a few slices of bread into their run down toaster before grabbing butter and honey for a small breakfast before running to her morning classes. "Want any toast?" She hollered again, this time she decided not to sing it as she scurried around the kitchen and leaving a mess behind her.
Coffee beeping, toast popping, and suddenly it was a little after 10. Louella quickly threw on a comfy outfit, sipping her coffee in a to-go mug, "Sorry, Blair-bear, I gotta run! I wanna be a little early today." She shouted before running out the door, quietly apologizing for the mess she left behind in the kitchen. She swore if Blair left it she'd definitely clean it up later!
