This is a plot I posted here over 5 years ago and had an amazing time with. Since my partner for this RP hasn't been on here in 5 years I have decided to recycle the plot and see if anyone would be interested. It is designed to be M/M however I am open to M/F To help combat the growing violence and growing number of Psypaths in the streets of Juxtan. Private citizens have funded a special department in the Juxtan police department that does not answer to any law and yet exists to impose it. This special unit is called JC2. Lt. ________ is the leader of JC2. He is young for his position within the police force and many officers are jealous of him. When two of his team members are killed in a crossfire while on a drug bust Lt. _______ is forced to accept a Psypath onto his team. Calyx Starr is an empath who is addicted to the illegal drug called Bliss. He is well known on the streets as a brash out going flirty play boy who held no fear of the JC police units. The JCPD managed to coerce Starr into joining up with JC2 causing many of his old friends and informants to become bitter enemies. Lt. ________ and Starr are complete opposites and seem to banter at a near constant rate. Due to the challenge he sees in his superior Calyx Starr decides that Lt. _____ was made to be his. Types of Psypaths: Empath - gift of empathy, senses others emotions and can be overwhelmed by them when not in control of their gift Telepath - gift of telepathy, has the ability to speak, fight, and otherwise getting into other's heads Telekinetic - gift of telekinesis, the ability to move objects with one's mind Prescient - gift Prophetic visions, this ability allows the barer to have random glimpses into the future; however, this gift is also quite the curse as with each glimpse into the future the psypath looses time off his/her life. What I'm looking for in a rp partner. * Someone who isn't going to ditch ( I am realistic and don't expect you to post more than you are able to} * Someone who doesn't godmod * Someone who can make a non mary-sue character * Someone who can have a good time simply using ones imagination to make an amazing role play. A police car pulled up to one of JC2's drug busts and a fat older gentleman stepped out seeking out the Lt. passing by the men in handcuffs and the remainder of the team as Calyx Starr Sat waiting in the back of the police car laying low as the Captain of the force went over the details with the young Lieutenant, Harikēn Shimo. " Lt. Shimo today you will be adding another member to your team. " the man said and continued on. Starr listened in as Captain Dickerson told Lt. Harikēn Shimo that he would be getting a new team member however leaving out the fact that Starr was a psypath, an empath to be exact. He was able to feel just what every one else was feeling at least that is he could when he wasn't taking his drug of choice, bliss. Bliss the simple name of that drug was enough to make a psypath smile for it altered their brain waves to a point that they would seem like the normal people of the city along with getting a nice high off of it.

"He has no formal police training but he will be a valuable member of your team assuming you can gain his respect. He's a live wire but with the right leverage " He held up a box of bliss tablets " he can give you instant verdicts on things. He's an empath he's like a human lie detector " The captain went on explaining Calyx soon found himself being led from the car and over to the lieutenant. " This is Calyx Starr, you may have heard his name on the streets but he is the real deal and he is to be under your charge. Oh and Shimo keep in mind he is not replaceable so don't get him killed. " Starr smiled a cheshire grin as he spoke " Hello Darkness you can call me Starr " His words were almost purred out as he spouted out a nickname that he had chosen for the Lt. and he brushed a few strands of long blond hair tipped in purple from his face, meeting the other man's eyes with his emerald gaze.

" Hmm well I'm sure that he gave you those. " He indicated the bliss tablets that the Lt. held. " To use as a way to bribe me. As for me being an empath, well that's completely true sweetheart. " Another smile graced his features a he let his gaze take in the lieutenant. " You're quite the looker." He said not caring how the other male took his comment. " It should be fun getting to know you, well at least more than captain dick head, or so I hope. " He was greatfull that the captain had simply dropped him off gave a small introduction and left.

Starr chuckled. " Oh but picking fun at him is about the only interesting thing I've gotten to do since he picked me up. He does have a temper but as he indicated he wanted me to cooperate. " He said with a mock frown. " Though from what I'm seeing I'm not the only one here who doesn't like him. Am I wrong? " he said with a slight tilt of his head and twirling a strand of his hair. " So Darkness what are we doing here? I was a bit surprised that he chose to dump me on you out in the field. "

“Well- I don’t have an opinion on him. Our unit is too help combat violence and people like you, and we don’t even answer to any officials. We only do what they say right now becsuse they’re paying us, and we need money. Why do you keep calling me darkness?”

" Well I have heard of your unit and I'm well aware that people like me are typically at the other end of this situation. In truth I'm here because of being on the other end of this situation, though I'm sure you already know that. " He said with a sigh. " I wanted to know specifically why I'm here at this location to meet you rather than being dropped off to you at the precinct or somewhere more secure. I know the captain doesn't trust me not to simply take off. " " Why Darkness? Well it fits you. Not your looks but the feeling I get from you. You're quite different than most, I can't read you as I can everyone else your like a void in a way completely closed off to me. It's nice I don't usually get a respite from others emotions bombarding me unless I'm high. "

" Hm well the drugs yes. Bliss is expensive and that's pure. Plus it dulls my empathic abilities so I don't have to decipher my own emotions and feelings from everyone else in the city. Lusty, only sometimes. Sex was my job sweetheart it wasn't fabulous but it kept me alive and often gave me a place to stay other than out on the streets. " He said dropping his typical pretenses. " I was sixteen when I was first on my own but I'm sure you don't care about that. "

Frowning slightly Calyx looked over the building behind Lt. Shimo. " Has your team looked for bombs yet? I assume you were sent here to take care of Parker and his clowns. He has an affinity for explosives."

“Of course we’ve checked for bombs, no there weren’t any we could see. You may have some of your drug, but not all of it. Because apparently this calms you down?” He said, leaning the box a bit for him to reach inside

" Okay, I just figured I'd make sure just incase. I've had a few run ins with them. A truly nasty group of people. " " I wouldn't say calms me down but it does mute my empathy a bit. Unless I over do it there are no psychosomatic effects or anything. For example 1 tab of bliss is enough to stop the negative bits of addiction and mute the outside emotions unless I focus on them specifically, 2 tabs mute them completely and can cause drowsiness, 3 or more causes mild to severe hallucinations, and to someone who isn't a psypath it is kind of like pot except its a pill not something that you smoke. " He explained.

Calyx gave a light nod and focused his mind on Lt. Shimo. " Go ahead I'm ready. " He said and closed his eyes lightly to take away other distractions. " Distrust, worry, pain though not physical more emotional. Something happened to someone close to you that you feel you should have prevented. You aren't all to thrilled about having to work with me. There is some pride there and a few things a bit deeper. There's still that bit of darkness but I would be surprised if that had left completely because you don't trust me. I don't blame you I wouldn't trust me either if our positions were in reverse." He concluded and pulled back trying to shake off the other's emotions. Getting into another's mind was the easy part coming back to himself, now that was the trick.

" Most people don't realize how invasive empathy can be. I'm not surprised that you were uncomfortable hearing everything laid out like that by me, especially not knowing me well at all. " He said almost grateful when Lt. Hariken Shimo put his shields back in place. The action of the shields coming up effectively quieting the bits that Starr couldn't silence himself. ' You can go now.' The Lt.'s simple dismissal nearly made the blond laugh. " I would but I don't have anywhere to go. Due to working with you I'm no better than a snitch so if I were to go to my usual haunts... well it wouldn't be good. By now I would be surprised if everyone on the streets didn't hear of my arrest and they would put two and two together as soon as they saw me. It's a tough world Darkness but I'm certain you know that just as well as I do. "

" Oh, well that makes quite a bit more sense then simply being told I could leave. I guess it shows that I'm a natural blond. " He said with a chuckle making the best of his mistake. " Wildin? Never heard that term before. If you're referring to my empathy I'm not trying to do anything with it currently. If you're talking about the bliss I wouldn't have much choice as you have it and I can't exactly get it without you letting me have it. " Calyx said looking genuinely confused.

Starr laughed. " Oh I guess your captain said a bit about me then. He was being an ass so I gave it right back to him, but I'll play nice. Today at least. " He said and decided he genuinely liked his new superior. He found that he was actually interested in getting to know the Lieutenant. He did wonder a bit about the rest of the team and hoped they were similar to Hariken in personality or at the very least were accepting of the captain practically forcing them to put him into their ranks.

" Are you alright? " Starr questioned noting the bit of forgetfulness. " I'm not sure that getting to know you would change how useful I am as my empathic abilities won't alter any from it nor will my lack of training in this field of work; but, I would like to learn more about you and your team mates." He said while thinking of relevant questions. " What made you decide to become an officer? Are you happy with your choice or do you regret it? " He asked a hand moving to fiddle with his hair as he thought of things that would give him insight but not fall under the category of too personal.

I’m just going to say, becoming an officer may not have been the greatest choice I’ve ever made” he answered “and I do feel fine, I just didn’t remember we’d allready done the rundown becsuse I have something on my mind”

" I hope I didn't unnerve you to badly when I read you and I apologize if I brought up things you were trying to ignore I don't exactly control what comes to me." He said sincerely. " If you're not happy with your position or job why stick with it rather than finding something you enjoy more? " He hesitated before asking " Do you truly dislike me as much as your emotions conveyed? " Starr was unsure if he truly wanted to know the answer but his thoughts kept returning to the mix of emotions that the young Lt. had broadcasted when he let his shields down.

" You're a good man putting the others before yourself, but don't you think that you deserve a bit of happiness? They probably couldn't replace you with just one person or find anyone who truly cared, as I can see you do, but they could find someone to fill the position. " Starr asked before apologizing. " I'm sorry I shouldn't have said that. It's not my place. "

" Ok so you're as trapped here as I am." Calyx said more to himself than to Lt. Hariken. " It really doesn't change me all that much unless I take two or more tabs of it. " He reiterated and although not voicing it Starr fully intended on only taking a single tab if for no other reason than to be fully aware of his current surroundings. " I do have a few other questions but I doubt you would consider them appropriate." He said his tone light as he flashed him a smile.

" He couldn't help his curiosity as he found that the man quipped his interest. Aside from being easy on the eyes he seemed to have an interesting personality, both honorable and self sacrificing for others. People like this Lieutenant simply didn't come around often in this city.

" Starr said with all seriousness thigh not ignoring that the Lt. enjoyed painting. " ok well let's see, am I married or in a relationship? Not currently. I've been in a handful of relationships but none of which would I consider to have been meaningful. Children. No even if I were capable of carrying them myself I wouldn't want any. I can't imagine I'd make a good parent or role model. " He said thinking about each question and answer before giving them. " Hobbies, hm well I enjoy going out to the clubs, dancing, I would say bliss but there's a big difference between an addiction and a hobby, every so often I like to settle down with a good book. " Starr said and deciding if they're was anything else he should add to that list.

Start laughed " No you're nickname is most definitely Darkness. I call everyone sweetheart it's more habit than anything else. I was seventeen maybe eighteen when I started that. It made it easy in my line of work everyone felt special even if I didn't bother to remember who they were. " " As far as changing your lack of free time. Well that will take time but it's a matter of starting with finding a few minuets here and there where you can relax. "
