Elias slipped through the shadows of the night, going down an old, dark street as he made his way to the local dollar store. He looked around slightly, making sure no one was in sight as he made sure he was not seen. Elias was more shy than anything. He didn't like talking to humans because that just increased his urge to kill them. That's why he was sent to Earth. Satan said that he had more purpose to him than to stay down there and bother him so Elias did what he did best. Stay in the shadows and pig out on chips and junk food. That's all he did in the Human world anyways.
Other than occasionally get hook ups to help with his needs. But besides that he was a small little fellow. Standing at 5'5 and he was only 19 in human years but 1,290 in demon years. The young male slipped into the Dollar store and he walked directly to the chips, avoiding eye contact with any human. [+red "Come on..I'm just here for the Doritos and oooo gummy bears? For a dollar? These shits might be poisoned.."] He murmured under his breath, looking around before shoving his hands full of chips and candy.
Oliver hummed a tune that had gotten stuck in his head as he walked down the sidewalk; it being one of those semi-annoying pop songs that would play over and over anywhere there was a business. He paused in his tracks for a small second when he eyed the local Dollar Store up ahead, squinting as he read the sign. Ah right, things could be that blindingly bright. Being down on Earth made him forget how bright and lively Heaven was by accident. How were all his friends up there? Or his God?
Oh well, he could reminisce later. Right now though, he just wanted something to snack on, so he treaded onwards towards the store, humming the same tune as he walked. He slid inside the establishment silently, already making a beeline towards the candy section. By no means was he tall amongst the isles, maybe 5'6 at best with a good pair of shoes. It earned him some playful teasing sometimes, and the fact that it looked like he just graduated from what the humans called "high school" didn't help either. He could easily refute that he was 1,300 in angel years, but he'd just get eyes rolled at him, so he had learned to settle with ~19. None of that mattered now though, the only thing that did was the sheer deliciousness he held in his hands: white/milk marbled chocolate.
Elias had brought his snacks up to the cashier and he looked up at the cashier, giving her a small smile as she eyed him like candy. The young boy looked away quickly, hesitantly moving his money onto the table and the girl took it, her eyes still on him. Ew. This is why he was gay. He took the snacks and put them in a bag, running back to return a candy before he felt something. A force? An angel. Oh God not now. Please not now. Elias put the candy elsewhere, slipping out into the darkness and sat out on the side of the store as he began to chow down, smiling to himself.
[+Red "Eating good tonight, Elias. Nice catch. Perfect chips. Wonderful candy. Just enough to rot a soul."] He spoke, chewing happily on gummy bears and closing his eyes as he admired their beautiful taste. Pretty cherries and Raspy oranges. Elias would kill for gummy bears. They were his favorite candy.
Oliver beamed with happiness at the fact he found his favourite chocolate bar, more than ready to pay and leave the store with just that alone. That was until he saw the coffee in the glass refrigerators. And the donuts. Before he knew it, he had a haul of candy bars, cups of coffee, even a few cans of Monster, and donut holes. No, he wasn't a glutton or anything of the sort. Just sleep-deprived, so he needed all the sugar and caffeine he could get his hands on. He walked up to the cashier, setting his things down, ignoring the cashier's stares as she rang up his items, quickly paying for them when he got his total.
He mumbled out a quiet "good night" to her just to be polite as he walked out the door with his bag of goodies, letting out a long yawn the second he stepped foot outside. Oliver trotted around the building, not feeling the need to go anywhere else to eat, freezing up when he saw someone else. "Gummy bears? Chocolate is much better," The angel offered out with another yawn, evidently too tired to tell friend from foe.
Elias looked up at Oliver with wide eyes and he slowly narrowed them, thinking that the other man wanted to fight until he said that. Elias' eyes softened and he smiled a little, shaking his head as he popped a few gummy bears into his mouth. [+red "Nah..come on now. Think about the fruity flavors! Chocolate is just too rich and smooth for me. I'd rather have something chewy and fruity!"] Elias said confidently, smiling up at Oliver before tilting his head. [+Red "You seem..sweet for an angel. What's your name?"] Elias asked, tilting his head more to the side like a puppy that has discovered a new chew toy.
[+Red "I'm Elias. Satan sent me up here from the other world to kill human beings. But I can sense you're a goody two shoes? Don't suppose you're gonna kill me though. You look..innocent per say. Too innocent to hurt a fly. Maybe even cute for an angel."] Elias said, eyeing the man up and down before looking back up into his eyes.
"Innocence is a classic charade when it comes to us angels, how does everyone fall for that?" Oliver questioned semi-blankly with a soft sigh. He wasn't in the mood for arguing about anything really; not caring that Elias was a demon. He, instead, moved over to sit by him, digging through his bag to find his mocha.
"My name's Oliver. Yes, I suppose you could call me a goody-two-shoes, and you'd be right about me not killing you. As long as you don't give me a reason to that is. Otherwise, we can chill," He said calmly, a bright smile plastering itself onto his expression when he found his mocha, opening it up and easily downing half of it.
Elias watched the male and he hummed, letting out a small laugh and smirking to himself. His eyes watched as the angel sat right by him, raising his eyebrows. This man was not scared of him at all. That was good. [+red "So, Oliver, Why are you here? To kill people like me or just hook up, eat and sleep. Satan sent me here to do basically the same thing but I've been hooking up with people, eating and getting fat as well as occasional naps. I don't sleep particularly well here on Earth but it is an interesting place."]
Elias admitted, looking down at the small parking places in front of them with a smile. The angel was amusing. Not only that but he was hot. Like Taylor Lautner hot. It was insane. The demon found himself watching him eat closely, smiling and letting out a laugh. [+Red "You must really love chocolate."]
"Well," Oliver started, taking a second to stop munching away and wipe at his mouth, "It's the only thing that's kept me sane, so I surely would hope I'd really love chocolate." He finished as he smiled. He hummed a bit before breaking off a piece of the chocolate bar, offering it to the demon.
"Originally, I was sent here to rid Earth of your kind, but in all honestly, I don't really want to have to do that... In my opinion, all life has meaning, even if it's your most hated enemy. We all serve a purpose. Don't you think?" Oliver asked softly as he tilted his head to the side ever so slightly as a curious dog would.
Elias smiled a little and nodded at the boy, taking the piece of chocolate and popping it into his mouth. He grimaced a little and shook his head, grabbing his water. [+Red "Me and chocolate? Do not mix one bit. I'm afraid it isn't meant for my kind of people. But dark chocolate? That is the bomb diggity.."] Elias explained, offering him his last red gummy bear and smiling.
[+Red "Now..try this fruity bear. It's good, it's fresh and it's really sweet. I think you'll like it.."] Elias said, looking back at the road as a person drove up and parked, giving them weird looks before disappearing inside. He narrowed his eyes at the woman, watching her walk by and he sighed, rubbing the back of his neck.
[+Red "I'm not as mean as I look..am I? I don't look vicious per say...I don't believe so.."] He whispered, hugging himself a little and shivering. He hated being thought as evil and vein. He was actually very sweet on the inside. And a HUGE softie! But no one saw or understood that...
