[size10 [b you both] are just recently married, only six months into it and finding that the honeymoon period doesn't last very long. he has just opened his first restaurant, busy nights and long weekends seeing how popular it is, the newest hot spot in the city
[b you] work at home, a profitable online jewelry business. this especially benefits you, as you are pregnant and had suffered a miscarriage earlier
[b both] of you are stressed, desperately trying to cling tight to this relationship and it doesn't help that you suspect your husband of cheating.
[b despite] the trials, you both are willing to make it work. will your relationship stand til the end of time, or crumble?

-this is a slice of life rp, im kind of actually hoping to do a generation type rp, so if this works out and we finish, id like to continue in a new rp with our characters (including the daughter and maybe someone new)
-the wife doesnt know hes cheating, she has suspicions and they both still are grieving from the miscarriage. i want this rp to really last, may be a bit slow, but we can throw in different things (maybe the parents hate him, maybe he gets his mistress pregnant, etc. we can brainstorm)
-unlimited amount of characters can be introduced - but lets try to keep it limited, dont want to have too many names floating about

osting is at least once a day for the love of god please be active, the whole reason i came here was to be back into writing so i would ask that you are able to post at least twice a week.

Honestly, Lexia couldn't remember ever being this before. They were happy before the affair but even then James would have never given up work to be with her and she would always come second to it. Now, he was putting his family before work and it was making a huge difference to their relationship and their happiness. She smiled up at him as he spoke of making memories and how he didn't want to miss out on anything and it really was so unlike him but she wouldn't complain. She leaned her head against his chest and smiled. [b "Italy it is."] It was so nice making plans for the future and she was completely happy knowing that things were just going to continue getting better for them.

The music stopped then and she heard the clinking of a glass and when she looked around she saw Gianna and she smiled and nodded. She parted from him slightly and went to pick up Mason as the guests started to gather around and she handed him over to James after kissing his head and smiling towards the two of them. It still filled her with such love to see him holding their son.

She watched as James gave his toast and as the cake came out and once he blew the candles out she clapped along with everyone else in the room and then handed the cake off to Gianna who would organise it getting cut into pieces. [b "I'd like to say a few words if that's alright?"] She looked to James and the rest of the guests and smiled a little. [b "Most of you know that it has been a testing year but I am so happy that we've come through everything and now James and I are stronger than every."] She took his hand and squeezed it tightly. [b "Having our son Mason has put so much into perspective and I feel so blessed to have such a beautiful family; one that will continue to grow."] She looked to James then. [b "One that is growing..."] She pulled his hand towards her stomach and looked him in the eye. [b "We're having a baby."]

It was completely out of the ordinary for him to suggest not working or taking time off of work. However, James was starting to think that he couldn’t keep putting work before his family and it was surely proving to benefit his relationship in doing so. He spread his hand along Lexia’s back, holding her closer as they swayed along to the music. “Well, I just don’t want to miss out on anything. I want us to eb able to have memories together and that won’t happen if I’m stuck at work.” He told Lexia. He pulled back some to look her in the eyes, smiling at her suggestion.
“Oh, a little couple cooking hmm?” He repeated with a grin. “I like the idea of that.” James told Lexia. “Italy it is.” He told her. The moment of dancing was soon ended by the sound of Gianna tapping a spoon against her glass of champagne. She winked in Lexia’s direction to indicate it was time for the cake.

“I think it’s time that the birthday boy give a toast?” She suggested. Gianna always was a very organized woman which was why James appreciated her presence in the kitchen. She always made sure things went as they were supposed to and always on schedule. There was he sound of applause. James ducked his head to hide his blushing cheeks as he accepted the glass, waiting for Lexia to reach his side. Delilah was being held by Gianna and James had took hold of Mason.

“Well, this certainly has been quite a turnout. I’m very happy that for once you guys were able to get a day off – your boss sucks.” He joked to which his friends chuckled. “That said, I appreciate you all for coming. I appreciate my wife and Gianna for putting this together. Here’s to another year,” he said before taking a sip. Soon enough the crowd was beginning to sing happy birthday at the cake was brought to him, the candles a lit.

Lexia wasn't exactly responsible for the entire party. He had pretty much organised it himself, and all she had done was help bring it all together and stop him from working throughout the day and she could actually tell that he was more relaxed than usual. She smiled and relished in the second kiss that he offered her before she listened to the compliments that followed. A slight blush found her cheeks and she bit her lip gently. [b "A miracle. You do exaggerate things sometimes."] She chuckled a little and then she rose her brow when he suggested that they get away. It was out of the blue and also out of character for him, since he was work orientated.

[b "A second honeymoon? Really?"] James had never really suggested a vacation before. Their honeymoon had been short the first time because he didn't want to be away from the restaurant for two weeks. [b "That's so unlike you."] She smiled and leaned into him when he started to move to the music with him. It was quite a romantic moment really and she was overwhelmed with how much love she felt for him.

[b "I've always wanted to go to Italy. Maybe we could take some cooking classes together, see if we can get some ideas for a few new dishes at the restaurant."]

James rolled his eyes at Lexia, leaning over to give her a kiss again on the lips. “Yes, you did.” He told her. “You gave me a handsome son and you’ve stayed by my side this whole time. Meeting you has been nothing short of a miracle.” James smiled at her. “What do you say we get away? I’m enjoying his relaxed James.” It was a crazy proposal, but James felt like after the year they had, it was the perfect gift to them. “Mason is getting older, less dependent and your business is doing well. Gianna is doing great at running the restaurant and well – maybe a second honeymoon is the perfect culmination to what we’ve been through?” He suggested.

James held her closer and had started swaying with his wife to the music. At one point in their life, it was possible that they would have divorced. He almost lost Lexia and his family. Yet they managed to preserve, even after what happened with Gianna. He thought that him and Gianna were getting along and now Lexia and Gianna had seemed to close he chapter on their messy story.

“Maybe Hawaii or Italy?” He suggested with a chuckle. James was a year older and he was feeling more than god, he was feeling hopeful. He knew that his life with Lexia would be full of nothing but happiness and memories. Who knew what else was in store for their future? Maybe even another sibling for Mason.

From that moment on she worked with Gianna to get everything ready for the party, leaving James to look after Mason and Deliah. They would certainly keep him busy enough to ensure that they didn't life a finger when it came to getting the decorations up and making sure the food was ready. And honestly it was quite nice for her to to spend some time with Gianna again. They had been good friends before so her betrayal had come as quite the devastating blow. That was all behind them now and it appeared that they made a good team too because they had everything ready quickly and it looked great.

Soon enough people were arriving at the party and she could tell that people they worked with who knew about Gianna found it quite weird seeing her here but Lexia had accepted it and moved on and now everyone else had to do the same thing and once everyone got over this initial shock and awkwardness the party got into full swing and she was really happy with how everything was going.

Somewhere along the way James sought her out in the crowd. She wanted him to mingle with friends so she did the same so she didn't distract him. But he found her and pulled her to one said anyway. [B "You don't need to thank me. I didn't really do anything."]

James put his hands up I defeat. “Alright, I’m going. I’m going.” He said with a chuckle. “I’ll babysit, you can’t take that away from me.” James had picked up both children. A small groan escaping his lips. “Much harder than I expected,” he joked as he walked toward the living room. James had placed the children in the play pen and turned on the tv. It was a bit different for him to take. A break, but eventually he settled in and found himself relaxing an enjoying his time with his children.

Gianna had started to get the decorations set up outside. It was a lovely sunny day and she figured it would be the perfect setting for a large party. After getting the decorations together, she helped Lexia with fixing the food. She started getting the decorations set up when there was a ringing at the doorbell. His family and friends were starting to arrive, with gifts to which Gianna directed to place on a table in the family room. Gianna could tell that it was a bit different for everyone, seeing Gianna and being so helpful, but they kept their words to themselves. Eventually Johnathan arrived: he was a good-looking tall man with curly brown hair and a kind smile.

Upon everyone arriving, James had come to a stand to greet his friends. Eventually the music was turned on and the party started. James was not surprised to find himself enjoying his time and when he had a chance, he had pulled Lexia to the side to give her a kiss. “Thank you,” he said to her with a smile.

Lexia knew that James would not be able to detect any tension between her and Gianna. She was relieved to know that the two had put everything behind them. At the end of the day, Mason and Delilah were brother and sister and they were the only two who truly mattered and she didn't want there to be tension or conflict between them for the rest of their lives. She had worked on improving her relationship with James so she could do the same with Gianna. It wouldn't be fair to forgive James but not do the same for Gianna.

[b "A special birthday breakfast for a special birthday boy."] She chuckled and sat herself down after enjoying a brief kiss with him. She glanced over at the children and smiled to herself before she focused on the food and listened into the conversation. Lexia had not met Gianna's partner but she had heard that things were getting pretty serious between them. It seemed that she was announcing that things were getting even more serious because they were moving in together. She glanced towards James who seemed to automatically panic that Gianna and Delilah would be moving but he seemed relieved to hear that they were not moving out of town.

However, she was a little concerned that James wouldn't like another man living with his daughter. She didn't want things to start being tense between them. Once breakfast was out of the woman, Gianna was quick to dismiss James and she couldn't help but laugh at the expression on his face. [b "I told you that you weren't allowed to do any work on your birthday."]

James smiled and kissed Lexia on her lips. He didn’t really feel any tension and figured things were going well. “Breakfast for me?” He asked with a chuckle. He had moved toward the table where Gianna had started to place down the dishes that contained the breakfast treats. The kids seemed to be satisfied with their meals.

“Hello Gianna,” James said as she placed a plate in front of him. It was admittedly still a bit strange to have both women together, but with Gianna being involved with someone, he supposed it wasn’t awkward as it used to be. “Where’s Johnathan? Is he coming to the party?” James asked. Johnathan was a stockbroker who Gianna met at the restaurant. It was funny how their tale of love was in that sense pretty similar.

“He’ll be coming later. He’s actually out finishing up some things for our move.” James paused in his eating, raising a bow at Gianna

“You’re moving?” Gianna had taken a seat at the table, taking a sip of her mimosa.

“Yes, not far trust me. Don’t worry. Just, John and I think it’s time to move in together.” James had to admit the thought of Gianna moving into a home with his child and another man was a bit unnerving for him. Yet, it wasn’t in his place to stop her from living her life.

“Well, that’s good news.” James said then. He sighed out and had started eating his breakfast. It was pleasant conversation. Once finished, Gianna had started to clear the table and place the dishes in the dishwasher. Soon enough it was time to start decorating to which Gianna was pushing James out of the kitchen.
“You are not lifting a finger.” She said. James looked to Lexia with a small pout, hoping but knowing she wouldn’t come to his defense.

Lexia chuckled a little at Gianna's comment about Delilah. She wasn't wrong about James' appetite but it was no secret that the man was a huge foodie. After all, his love of food was the reason he had decided to open a restaurant in the first place. They had spread themselves too thinly when they had opened the second restaurant but she was glad that they had scaled back and focused on what worked and improving what they had and she couldn't deny that it was nice getting back to her jewellery business because it was something she had always enjoyed.

[b "It wouldn't make sense for him to be working at his own party. This was his idea after all so for him to not even take the time to enjoy it would be ridiculous."] She smiled and looked over at as she poured them both a drink and then she was surprised to hear that the woman was actually apologising for what she had done. It was the one thing that she hadn't been expecting at all but it meant the world to her to hear it.

She took the drink from her and nodded. [b "I want the same thing. We are...a family after all and it would not be good or fair on the children if we have this conflict. I appreciate your apology and I accept it."] The acceptance and forgiven was like a relief to her and she was so glad that that chapter was closed now.

Lexia heard James then and she offered him a smile. She pointed to the breakfast and kissed his cheek. [b "We're having breakfast. Did you sleep well?"]

“Yea, she’s a big eater. I think she takes after her dad.” Gianna said as she reached into her bag and started to reach for a bottle. Gianna placed Delilah back in her seat then and started to feed her. “Oh, I agree, I’m surprised he even decided to take the day off. You know how James can be.” Gianna had gathered some glasses and grabbed the orange juice and champagne from the brown paper grocery bag. She poured a drink for her and Lexia.
“Listen Lexia, I just really wanted to apologize. I know, I mean I – I can’t ever take back what I did, but our kids are siblings and I just want us to be okay moving forward.” She raised her glass then in an attempt to toast.

James had finished his shower, drying off his har as he exited and headed toward his dresser. He shuffled through to find something to wear. He wasn’t really used to dressing up, but it was his birthday. He settled on aWhite linen dress shirt and a pair of light blue jeans. His hair was growing out more, but he decided against styling it, enjoying the casual and carefree look. James soon headed out of the bedroom, raising a brow at the sound of multiple voices downstairs. The party wasn’t for another few hours. He came down to find Gianna and Lexia in the kitchen together.

“Hey; what’s going on here?” He asked with a smile. He was a bit nervous to see that Gianna had shown up, though there hadn’t been any yelling, so things had to be going well. James kissed Mason and Delilah’s foreheads. “This certainly is a birthday treat.”

Lexia stepped back, allowing Gianna the space to step inside and when she commented on how big Mason was getting she chuckled a little and bounced him on her hip. [b "He most definitely is. He is getting quite vocal too, always babbling on about one thing or another."] She said as she set him down before she glanced over at Delilah who was just starting to wake up. [b "She is getting big too!"] She smiled and glanced towards Gianna who was talking to Delilah about the likelihood that James was still asleep. [b "Yes! I thought I'd let him sleep in a bit today since it's the only day of the year that he gets a lie in."]

She could tell that things were still a little awkward between the two but she was trying her hardest to make it seem like everything was okay, because in her eyes, it was now. [b "That's really nice of you. I'm sure James would appreciate the help."] Things had changed and Gianna had seemingly gotten over whatever it was that had her hung up on her husband and she completely trusted James after everything they had been through lately so she would make an effort to get along with Gianna as long as the other woman returned the effort.

[b "Sure, that sounds nice."] She smiled towards her and started pulling some things out of the refrigerator to start putting together a breakfast. She heard movement above her then and the sound of the shower running. [b "Seems he is awake now. He will be down soon." She made sure that she made enough food for him too.

Gianna offered what she hoped was a smile in Lexia’s direction. Things were getting better between the two as of late. Things weren’t as awkward at least. “Morning, don’t mind if I do.” She entered the home. If there was one thing she could say about James, it was he had respected his marriage too much to ever sleep with Gianna in their family home. Delilah was still asleep in her carrier. “Well he’s getting big right?” She said as she placed her purse on the table. Delilah had begun to stir then, and Gianna picked her up. “Daddy must still. Be asleep.” She crooned.

Gianna soon turned her attention back to Lexia. “I just thought I’d come over early and help out. I mean usually I’d be prepping the kitchen now, but with a day off I guess I don’t know what to do with myself.” Gianna chuckled a bit nervously. There was something on her mind. She had never really apologized to Lexia for what had happened and while her apology certainly couldn’t get rid of what had happened, the both of them would have to remain in each other’s space and she felt it pertinent that Lexia knew she was sorry.

“How about mimosas and breakfast?” she suggested. James had started to wake up, properly happy with the amount of rest he had managed to get in. He looked over to find Lexia out of bed and figured she was downstairs. After enjoying lying in bed for another couple of minutes, he eventually got out to shower and wash up. It was a bit different for him not being at work, but James had been taking on less responsibilities to spend more time with his family and it was seeming to pay off.

Her mother's visit came and went. While she wasn't completely over the fact that James had been with another woman and had a child with her, she was on her best behaviour as promised and she could see that the two had put so much work into their relationship that she kept her opinions to herself and just enjoyed being with her grandson. She had promised to come back from James' birthday. Things would likely never been the same between them but then, things were never really perfect in the first place.

The morning of James' birthday had arrived and things had been great at home in between. She allowed James to have a lie and she got up to see to Mason and get the house clean and tidy before he woke up. She didn't really want him lifting a finger today if he didn't have to. Lexia wanted James to just enjoy the party and enjoy having everyone around him to celebrate him. She wanted to celebrate him.

Lexia had Mason sat in his chair and she was attempting to feed him some breakfast. He was starting on some solid food now so she was test out some slightly mashed up banana. That was when the door bell went. She figured James was either still sleeping or in the shower so she picked Mason up and made her way over to the door to see who it was, not really expecting any visitors this morning. When she opened the door and saw Gianna standing at the door.

[b "Morning Gianna."] She said with a smile. [b "Do you want to come in?"]

Lexia’s sound of pleasure would forever draw him over the edge and had James not been tired from work, he would’ve demanded having her again, just to revel in the sound of her pleasure once more. He smiled; eyes closed as his body began to settle at the feeling of her lips tracing his body with kisses. Spent and breathing heavily, he held his wife close to him, his body still attached to hers. They were two different people that somehow made things work and he was happy to know that Lexia and him had final managed to return back to [I normal] if not a more improved version of themselves.
“Forever,” he promised as he kissed her neck, his lips travelling along the slightly damp space, his tongue lapping at the saltiness of her skin. James laid back and with some small movements, managed to now lay beside his wife. He and Lexia had gone through so much and they survived, their marriage survived He wanted no gift, nothing anyone would give him could ever come close to providing the joy he had when knowing he had managed to revive the love he had foolishly pretended didn’t exist.

“Remind me to buy you more lingerie,” he teased in a breathy whisper.

Lexia was his wife and had gifted him Mason, and while the pain of their lost child would haunt him, he knew that this was not the end. With faith and dedication, they could break the cycle of the failed relationships they saw within their own parents. James brushed his hand gently against Lexia’s cheek before kissing her again, cuddling in close to her and resting against her as though he had no desire to let her go and he didn’t. Sleep soon overtook him.

Morning of the party had arrived and true to the nature of the man of the hour on his birthday, James had chosen to sleep in. There was a ringing of the doorbell, Gianna arriving early to help set up for the party.
