Kinsley loved books, constantly reading something new whenever she got out. She hated where she lived, and wanted a new adventure. When she turned 18, she left America for England, and landed in London. Her plan was to open a book store, which is what she had always wanted to do. For three years, she worked her butt off to get enough money to lease a place for her store and to fill it. She put a down payment on a place and named it [b New Chapters]

Kinsley was so happy to be living her dream, and it seemed to be doing really well. She was so busy working, she hadn't much time to date. Her friends had set her up on dates all the time, but no one clicked with her. But that changed when [b he] came in. [You] are famous around these parts, everyone always asking for pictures or autographs. [You] ran into Kinsley's store to ditch the paparazzi just as she was closing, and ended up looking around. Kinsley and [You] bumped into each other, and because Kinsley didn't recognize [You], she started a conversation. [You] came back everyday right before closing, just to see Kinsley. Kinsley had no idea of his fame, and he really didn't want her to think differently of him. They end up exchanging numbers, talking all the time. They go out a few times, but he always presses to go to her place or the bookstore after hours. He didn't want to go out, in worries of being seen, and he didn't want to go to his place, because she would know he was rich/famous from looking at it.

Kinsley asks him to help her stock the store early one day, and he agrees. People come in, and flock around [You]. She finds out everything, and kicks everyone out. Will he be able to make it up to her? Will there chapters be over?

Ian couldn't help but chuckle when he heard her say their chocolate dessert had to have Magic in it. [b "I'm not sure exactly what the recipe calls for, but I would bet money that magic is definitely an ingredient. Tinker bell probably made it herself."] he said.

Hearing her compare him to one of the men out of her romance novels, he nodded softly. He hadn't had a Father figure growing up, it had just been him and his Mother, so she had to be both Mom and Dad. [b "You can thank my Mother for that."] he said.

After he had gotten her to the safety and privacy of his car, he hopped in the driver side. He couldn't believe that it was getting so crowded, they had indeed gotten out of there at just the right time. He looked toward the sunset and smiled softly as he realized Kinsley was watching it. [b "It's gorgeous, but not as gorgeous as you."] he said boldly.

Soon enough they were headed to the park.

As she tasted the chocolate dessert in front of her, her taste buds soared. [i "Is this made with magic? It's definitely magic."] she spoke, pursing her lips together. The woman hadn't been anywhere where the food was over $10 at most, so this was such a treat. It was unexpected, as most dates took her to the local pub, as it was cheaper than other places. But this, this was amazing.

Kinsley finished her glass of wine, enjoying her night with this man. She assumed this would be the end of this dream when he asked her if she wanted to continue their night. [i "A sunset? Man, you came right out of my romance novels, didn't you?"] she laughed softly, taking in the sight of his eyes. Her green eyes shining from the dim lights in the restaurant. As he helped her up, she blushed as his arm wrapped around her waist. The two slipped out of the restaurant, which was seeming to get busy. She was happy about that, as she wasn't a huge fan of large crowds. As they made their way outside, the sky began turning shades of lilac and rose.
Their dinner went off without a hitch. He had ordered a chocolate dessert, and just prayed that she liked chocolate. It was the best in the city and he felt as if everyone needed to try it at least once. [b “So. How did you like it?”] he questioned as he looked at her from across the table.

He had a great time himself thus far. Kinsley made him feel like a normal person.. if that was even a possibility. It was probably just because she literally had no idea about who or what he was. He hoped he could keep this charade up for a little bit longer, as he was attracted to the woman.

He took a sip of the wine and smiled softly. [b “I really enjoyed this dinner.”] he told her. After he paid for the meal, he could see that it was getting busier. He needed to get her out of here before someone recognized her. They couldn’t go out the back like he normally did, as then she would probably think something was up. [b “Would you be interested in not ending this night just yet? There’s somewhere I would really like to take you..”] he said softly as he stood up. [b “You said you didn’t get out much, which leads me to believe you’ve probably never seen a true London Sunset.”] he said as he helped her up and tucked his arm through her waist again.

Kinsley smiled when she learned he didn't have a girlfriend, which made her feel a lot better. "Maybe you can bring me to these parties, I barely leave my apartment. I end up just getting into a book, falling asleep with the book on my face." she laughed, running a hand through her hair.

As the food made it to their table, Kinsley's eyes widened. This food looked amazing and very expensive. She started to worry about being able to pay for her meal, she never ate food like this. "Wow, this is probably the fanciest food I've eaten in a long time. Looks perfect!" she smiled. She cut a small piece of her steak and put it in her mouth. It basically melted on her tongue. "Oh my word, this is so good!" she smiled brightly at the male. "Wow..." she said, turning back to the food.

"So, what kind of girls do you usually go for?" she asked. Maybe it was a little forward, but she wanted to know what he looked for in a relationship.
Ian watched as Kinsley's eyes lit up when she heard that he had a dog. [b "That would great! Maxx would love a new friend. I think he gets tired of it just being him and myself."] he told her. [b "I have to warn you though, he's a bigger flirt than I am."] He grinned as he thought about Maxx, he had been with him through it all. His Mother had gotten him for him when he was only a teenager and they had been together ever since.

[b "I'm sure I can make that change."] he answered with a smirk. [b "My life can be so chaotic at times that I just want to stay in my loft, but then I have those moods where i just want to party."] he told her. He almost choked on his water when he questioned her about his girlfriend. [b "I don't have a girlfriend... Not that I'm opposed to dating. I just haven't find the right one yet."]

He looked up when Wyatt brought their food and his mouth began to water. [b "Oh that looks so good mate."] he told him. [b "Thank you."]

Kinsley listened to him, smiling at him as he spoke. Even though his story was sad, she thought showing a smile would keep the mood up. She offered a small smile to show she was interested in what he had to say.

Ian seemed to think he didn't want to tell her exactly what he did. He worked in the music business but he wouldn't tell her anything else. Was he embarrassed about what he did? Why would he have a job he didn't care about? Kinsley cared so deeply about her career, so she had no idea why no one else would do something they didn't care about.

Kinsley thought maybe if they became closer, which she wanted to do, he would open up more than before. She heard he had a dog, that made her smiled. "I have a dog too!" she smiled. "Maybe we can go to a dog park together with our dogs!" she smiled.

"As you know, I don't either." Kinsley laughed. "So, what does your girlfriend think of you inviting a girl out to dinner?" she smirked, assuming he didn't have a girlfriend but wanted to know his dating status anyway.
Ian nodded at her question. Where could he even begin. [b "There honestly isn't a lot to tell. I never knew my pa. He ran off when I was about two I think. I guess I did know him, I just don't remember. It was always my Mum and me. We struggled for most of my life, but she always took care of me the best she could.. She got sick, it was cancer. She hid it from me until about four months before she passed."] he told her. [b "I don't have any siblings, not biologically anyway. Ethan, the waiter, his Mother was my Mums best friend. She took me in after. Ethan is my brother."]
He ordered his usual. Steak of course with the house salad and seasoned french fries. He was obsessed with their fries, Ethan made fun of him for it, the menu had a hundred things on it, and he ordered fries, but it was his favorite.

[b "My life?"] he repeated. Her thought for a moment before answering her. He honestly had no idea what to tell her. He certainly couldn't tell her that he was one of the U.K's most famous musicians. Damnit, why did he think that this would be easy. He could tell some of the truth would out all of it... right? [b "I uh work in the music business."] he told her. [b "I have a dog. My life is pretty boring you could say. I don't get out much."] he said through half gritted teeth.

He looked at her and smiled when he heard her thank you. [b "No, I should be thanking you. I don't get company that much."]

"If you don't mind, would you tell me about your family? Are they all gone?" Kinsley asked. She loved her family, so she couldn't imagine being without them. It was hard not to be physical with them, but one day they would together. She just couldn't sacrifice her dream.

"Oh, yeah. I should probably take a look at the menu, huh?" she smiled. She quickly looked, knowing she had to get the signature steak, it had to be good if it was a specialty for the restaurant. Pan-fried potatoes and a salad would be good as well. She placed her menu down and smiled. "All ready to order when he comes back. So, why don't you tell me more about you? Your life and all?" she asked, running her hand through her hair, out of her eyes.

The man, Ethan, took their orders as well, taking their menus as well. "Thank you for taking me here, it really is beautiful" she smiled, taking in the beauty of the decor around her.
Ian watched her closely. She was getting closer to him, even though they were sitting across from each other. He smiled softly after he heard her question. [b "In medical definiton, I very well might be."] he told her [b "But I don't think I'm crazy for trying to get to know a girl that is very intriging. Or wanting to do something nice and maybe even out of the ordinary for a date."]

He listened as she listed off what she wanted to do. They were all very good ideas. Amsterdam was beautfiul. He had no freaking clue where the largest library was. [b "You've got to dream big, love."] he said softly [b "That's the only way you'll ever get anywhere."] He grinned when she turned around and asked him about one thing. Did he even have one thing? [b "I would give anything to be able to talk to me Mum one last time."] he said. He didn't want to make this dinner depressing, but anything that he had ever wanted to do.. He did. Except for that.

He looked up as Ethan walked to their table with two wine glasses and a bottle of Rose. [b "Thanks mate. If you don't mind, I'm afraid I've spent all this time asking questions instead of letting her look at the menu. Can we have a minute more?"]

Kinsley rested her head on her hand, getting closer to the man across the table from him. She shook her head and smiled, "You are crazy, aren't you?" she asked. "Or, I'm dreaming." she laughed. This whole thing was insane. Her life felt like a movie or something, it was unbelievable what was happening. "You barely know me, why do you want to do all of this for me?" she asked.

Then he asked her a question. "One thing? That's a hard one. There are lots of things. Have my family come here, go skydiving, go to the largest library in the world, and visit Amsterdam." she laughed. "I have lots of things, I've made a list of things I wanted to do. They are all fantasies because I will never have funds like that" she said, smiling. "What about you? If you could do one thing, what would you do?" she smiled, biting her lip. "C'Mon, you asked me" she laughed.
Ian nodded as he listened to her. That was rough again. Not being able to visit your parents. But at least they did live in the modern world with cell phones and FaceTime. [b “I think you’ve got more guys than me.”] he told the girl with a soft smile [b “I love America. But I don’t think I could up and move there with no family.”] he told her. Not that he had an family.

He was surprised when he found himself grow angry when she told him about her last date. [b “I hope you told the bloody fool to fuck off them.”] he said [b “Damn fool that one.”]

[b “Stick with me kid. I can show you more fun times than you ever thought possible.”] he said, half joking but mostly serious. There was something about this girl. [b “If you could do one thing, in the entire world, what would it be?”] He couldn't help but watch the girl. She was beautiful, a different kind of beautiful. He didn't know how to describe it. He was just drawn to her. Maybe it was because she had no idea who he really was.

That was probably it. Everyone else in the country would literally be throwing themselves at his feet, but she had no idea how he was... It was making her even more attractive.
Cayden / BooBear96 / 270d ago
As the two of them walked into the restaurant, Kinsley's eyes widened. This place was beautiful inside, more beautiful than it was on the outside. The girl's face flushed as she felt his hand go to her waist and lead her inside the restaurant. It felt like they were royalty. Someone parked their car for them and they were seated in a special section, within seconds. They were even seated before some people who were waiting. The man pulled her chair out for her, and she sat down. He even ordered a glass of wine, and all she could do was smile.

"I don't," Kinsley said. "Visit my family, I mean. I haven't had the money to buy a ticket to go back, or for them to come here. I'd love for them to come and visit, but it's just not in the cards right now." she smiled. "We talk though, on the phone and facetime." she said, trying to smile through it. It was hard to be away from her family, but she loved her London life so much, she couldn't throw everything she worked for away.

"I'm glad you asked me. Honestly, I've been on a couple of dates since I've been in London, and they haven't even been close to anything like this. The last guy forgot my name, and told me to get a nose job." she laughed. "I forgot dates were supposed to be fun." she said, truthfully and smiled. "But this is fun." she biting her lip, looking down before looking back up at him.
[b "That takes some guts."] he told her after finding out that she basically dropped everything and moved from America. [b "Do you go visit thiem? Your family."] he questioned. He knew everyone was different, but he couldn't imagine moving away if his mother was still alive.

He smiled at her reaction and just nodded. [b "I'm sure this is the place."] he told her. After he stepped out of the car, he threw the keys to the valet. [b "End space please."] he told the young boy before jogging over to the passenger side and opening the door. [b "M'lady."] he said as he held out his hand.

He grinned cheekily when she asked if he was forward. [b "Maybe. Maybe not."] he said softly. [b "It's more along the lines of I don't like to miss an opportunity if I find something that interests me... In my line of work, it's hard to find people that are genuine."] Without thinking, he tucked an arm around her waist and ushered her inside. They were seated upstairs within seconds. [b "Thanks, man."] he said. The waiter was his Mother's best friend's son. Whom he had lived with when he was younger. They had been forced to be friends at the time, but now Ethan was indeed his bestfriend.

[b "Here ya go."] he said as he pulled out the seat. [b "Ethan, can I get the best glass rose you have? Please."] After he made sure she was seated and comfortable, he sat across from her and smiled softly. [b “Not that I ask complete strangers to dinner very often, but I’m really glad you said yes.”]
Cayden / boobear96 / 271d ago
Kinsley smiled. "Oh, no. I moved here from America. I just always wanted to move here so when I turned 18, I moved here and just worked anywhere I could, saved the money, and opened my store. My family are not the happiest with what happened, but I'm happy." she smiled.

They eventually stopped at a very nice restaurant, and Kinsely's eyes widened. "Well, now I feel underdressed." she said, laughing a bit. "Are you sure this is the place? This place seems really nice" she said, biting her lip.

Kinsley's store did well, but she wasn't rich by any means. She had enough to pay for her apartment, food, and payment for the store. But she wasn't able to go to eat all the time, buy a car, or go out really much at all. She sighed, watching people walking in and out of the restaurant. "Why did you ask me to dinner? You're very forward, aren't you?" she smiled. She was happy he did, he was handsome and very sweet. But it seemed odd for a handsome man walked into her store and was basically taking her on a date. She went on a few dates from those apps, but nothing like this. Maybe she should date random patrons from her store more often.
[b "I loved to read as a child.. Kind of sad to admit it's not something I've done here lately though."] he told her. He grinned when he heard her mention she didn't know anything about cars. [b "I'm decent when it comes to fixing them. I maintain mine just fine. But it it's anything more than that... It goes to the shop."]

He was more of a liquour man himself. But he did enjoy a nice glass of wine sometimes with his dinner. [b "They have the best steak. You won't be disapointed!"]

He chuckled as he listened to her answer about why she agreed to dinner. [b "Oh I can assure you I'm not a serial killer, love."] he told her [b "But I am very glad that you accepted my offer.."] He continued driving, turning down a few streets here and there. [b "You don't have an accent... Are you from London?"] he questioned.

He would never tell, but one of his friends worked at the restaurant they were eating at, so he was able to get a section sealed off. He didn't want fans or the paparazzi to interrupt.. Not that they really bothered him at this point. Maybe he just didn’t want this girl finding out who he really was. She was the first person in London to not know who he was... And that was really something to him. It made him feel like an actual person.
