From anyone else she would have thought it was just flattery, but Celeste knew Tomoyo was more honest and forthright and wasn't the kind to give empty flattery.

Which made her more flustered knowing he most likely meant every word of it. She was a little at a loss for words for several long moments, her face expressing her emotions. She was happy, but a bit embarrassed. There were doubts in her mind about if he was right, if tenacity would be enough to be a queen.

"If you're serious, then I guess we'll see if you're right. I'll try not to let you down."

Celeste Pushed her hair back and looked at the people and the rubble,"A wedding hardly seems appropriate right now though. What should we do about the city?"

"and thats what makes you so perfect too become my queen,the girl who bore the fruits of war,made her rise from nothing,too everything,the girl who stuck by my side,even when she wasn't even sure if she would live though the ordeal,the girl who fought,too protect her king,when she knew that she would surly lose her life,the girl who counted on her king too defend her,when all hope was lost,the girl who believed in a king,when the rest of the kingdom did not,Yes,You may not be a formal warrior with formal training,or of royal blue blood,and know not they ways of the court and kingdom and crown,but you are a warrior in heart body and spirit,the truest of all warriors,the one who fights,even though they may not know how or beable too,one who speaks,when not knowing what too say,and one who acts,when being unsure of what the correct action should be,yes,You are a warrior,you are a lady,and you are a queen,your just not aware of it yet,mi'lady"

Celeste felt her face heat up with a blush. She almost wanted to question if he was serious, but knew that he was. She followed him into the city, keeping hold of his hand as she took in the state of things. The city wasn't exactly in ruins, but it clearly wasn't in great shape either. Some places were fine, while others looked like they had been damaged in the coup and never cleaned or repaired.

"But you're a king. Shouldn't you marry someone who would be a good queen? I hardly know anything about being a queen or a lady, and I'm barely a warrior."

He reverts too a more civilized state as he looks into her eyes and takes her in his arms
"I hope you would take my hand,and become my bride"
He then smiles at her as he walks with her,his hand gripping hers

She had urged him to end it but watching was still hard. Celeste supposed it was still better than dragging it out longer. And it had the desired effect. The opponents seemed to have lost their resolve in the face of their champions defeat.

Celeste walked with Tomoyo as they advanced on the city gates, looking over to him. She had her head tilted, studying the new features he had this time,”What will you do once we return home?”

She wondered what his plans were at least partly because she had no solidly formulated plans of her own. She wasn’t sure if she should even try to find her father after the way they’d parted, or if he might seek her out. Or what might happen if she did see him again.

Tomoyo changed into his most lethal form as the girl charged him
He then lifted her up with one hand then screamed as he tossed her into the sky and held his hand up.
"DIE!"
a red blast of energy flew into the sky and caused am assive earth shaking explosion.
The ground rattled as the brother screamed in rage as he too charged the massive demon warrior.
Tomoyo then side stepped the attack as he then smashed his fist into his spine,
The warrior fell too his knees as tomoyo pulled his arms back behind him until both his shoulders dislocated and popped.
The man screamed as tomoyo snapped his neck violently as he growled furiously.
He then stepped forward
"WHO ELSE WISHES TO DIE TODAY!"
the troops began to back down as he shouted
"CHARGE THE GATES!"

Celeste backed away when Tomoyo came in. He was different, again. This time more so than before. She watched his quick swordplay best the siblings in a better way than she had managed.

She realized when he winked that he seemed to be toying with them. She covered her mouth to keep from laughing and hide the smile that spread over her face. He was handling them both with ease using the faster style. It was sort of amusing, but at the same time she was ready to have the fighting be over.

Celeste stepped forward,”We should end this now, Tomoyo.”

With these two defeated their army would retreat and then they could return home and clean up the mess the coup had caused.

Tomoyo then changed as he then spoke
"This is count kobayashi,I have taken his form,now,wittness my power as a demon prince!"
Tomoyo then apeared infront of celeste and the girl jumped as she slashed.
"Tomoyo drew a beautiful single handed saber as his cape fluttered in the wind.
The girl swung her sword as tomoyo gracefully batted it away as he slipped into a pompus yet seamingly unbeatable stance.
The wind began to blow as tomoyo began to deflect and block each and every slash with ease and grace.
Celeste was now watching a master swordsman practice his craft.
the girl began to grow angry as her brother rushed in as tomoyo then deflected both attacks at the same time,spinning on the balls of his feet then lunging forward with a thrust.
The girl stopped the stab but only just.
Tomoyo then spun as he slashed at the brother.
The older brother ducked as the sister attacked again.
Tomoyo bending backwards,her blade crossing the top of his face,barely missing his cheek.
Tomoyo then spun as he slashed at her.
She leaped back as the brother rushed in.
"Your not balanced"
Tomoyo then flicked his wrist as the two swords collided,forcing the brother off his feet stumbling too the ground the girl then rushed in as tomoyo spun behind her and smiled as he winked at celeste.
This was a strange new style he was using, relying on grace,elagance,speed and precision,versus his heavy handed extreme combat style.
The two rushed in at once as he then jumped into the air,over the both of them,his cape covering there faces as he landed slowly sliding back into that strange fencing stance as he smiled.
"Witness the true power of a royals sword play"
The girl got angrier as she attacked with out thinking.
As she swung her sword tomoyo then slashed,knocking the blade from her hand with a simple light saber.
"clumsy!"

Celeste took Tomoyo’s hand to get to her feet. Call for backup if she needed it. She nodded and looked to their opponents.

Untrained village girl. Celeste blinked, tightening her grip on her sword hilt. She wondered that too. Tomoyo said he had faith in her, but she knew she lacked the training and experience. Surely protecting her was a distraction, but he never wavered.

The woman she was fighting stepped forward and Celeste stepped back, her attention fixed on her opponent. She was sure Tomoyo would win in a one-on-one fight. She had to keep this woman from being able to team up with her brother until Tomoyo won, at a bare minimum.

Celeste had to dodge, as the sister made the first attack, and the one after that. Apparently she did not think this untrained village girl should be a challenge. When her initial attacks were dodged, backing them away farther from where Tomoyo and the brother were fighting, she got frustrated. Keeping up her attacks she snarled,”Stay still and I can make this relatively painless. I might even spare you.”

The offer to spare her, and the way she’d said it, offended Celeste. She wasn’t talking like she was fighting another warrior, or an equal. It was like squashing an insect. The woman was just getting rid of some village girl.

“How about you give up?” Celeste almost regretted the quip because it distracted her enough that the next dodge was close enough she stumbled. Be more attentive.

The fact that all Celeste was doing was dodging infuriated the woman, but she still laughed at Celeste’s response,”You’re funny. Surrender now while I’m in good humor and I won’t kill you.”

“No.” The next few attacks had Celeste dancing away from furious, lightning fast strikes. The woman did not like the rejection, and seemed determined to eliminate her as soon as possible.

“Then I will make your end painful and slow. The demon can watch.”

Celeste didn’t say anything to that. She had to focus on the fight and keeping up her evasive defense. She had no real armor or shield, only the sword. Realizing that she’d learned to be fast, and the lack of weight made it easier to keep up the speed needed to avoid attacks rather than take them head on.

She was developing a fighting style out of it, by evading until her opponent got sloppy by being angry or tired. This one was getting angry, though she still had more experience and skill.

When a blast of fire came at her, the woman finally resorting to magic, Celeste rolled out of the way, surprised and almost off guard. She had to block with her sword and stumble back to her feet. Blocking several more times. That strategy wasn’t going to work. The woman could overpower her any time she stopped underestimating Celeste. Celeste knew she had to end it soon.

One more block, then with the blades still locked Celeste dropped low and swept the legs from under the woman. It did get the woman on the ground, and Celeste pounced, aiming her sword at the womans throat.

The only problem was the woman caught the blade with her hands. Celeste had leverage, but the woman was much stronger. It was a struggle just to keep the woman from shoving her off. The woman let go with one hand, and it was still enough to keep Celeste held back. With her free hand she was feeling for her sword. Celeste knew if the woman got it, it would be over.

“Tomoyo.” She managed that, but then had to redoubled her effort to keep the woman down.

The two charged in to finish her off as tomoyo then appeared infront of her stopping both attacks with his bare hand.His blade laying on the ground as he then caught them both by the neck and began to lift them up into the air.
He began to squeeze down as they both began to gasp.
Tomoyo the flung the two warriors face first into the dirt as he screamed at the top of his lungs.
The impact shuttered the ground creating two small craters about 10 feet deep.
the ground shook as tomoyo helped up celeste as he smiled
"your learning very fast,when fighting two enemies at the same time it's ok to call for back up,you can rely on me just as I will rely on you,keep your wits about you and be prepared,they are flame hayzes,specially trained warriors to fight people just like myself"
he patted her head.
"if we win,I'll give you a special reward"
Tomoyo then stood back up too his full hieght as the two crawled out of the craters glaring.
"Why not summon your paladin gaurd to fight us,why this untrained village girl!? That is just insulting dark prince"
"Too you maybe,too me,she is the perfect opponent to face you,I put my complete confidence in her strength"
the brother spoke
"sister,I shall handle the prince,I am far stronger then you are,you handle his hap hazard girlfreind"
"got it"
The brother then dropped his blade.
"Then we shall fight with fists and magic,let's see just how powerful you really are"
the man appeared infront of tomoyo and fired off a massive punch.
Tomoyo then ducked and shot his knee into the boy's stomach,then elbowed him in the back of the head as he doubled over.
He then began a flurry of high speed punches and kicks connecting all over the boy's body. He then pulled him up by the hair and shouted as he let go of the pony tail,smashing his fist into the jaw bone of the boy,sending him rocketing across the battlefeild.
Tomoyo charged after him.
the warrior met him in the air as they both slid too a stop on the ground,firing off blow after blow until a ball of fire was thrown at tomoyo.
Tomoyo backflipped out of the way as he then spoke
"I CALL UPON YOU, DARK POWER OF KINGS.
I OPEN THE RAGNOROK CONNECTION!"
tomoyo's body began to glow scarlet as he then charged in.
the boys eyes widened as tomoyo flung a punch.
The boy ducked underneath it as a massive shockwave followed the attack.what was left of the trees standing began to fall as tomoyo turned and looked at the boy.
"Did you expect that sad excuse of a flame spell too hit me,This is the power of the demons, The ragnorok connection,It links my power to that of all the other demonic royals who came before me.
All their experience,spells,weapons,forms,memories,are now flowing within me. I shall now show you what i mean.
I can become,use,and fight just as the kings and princes before me."

Celeste watched, not taking her eyes from the fight even as the man behind her spoke. They were quick, and the fact that the woman was faring as well as she was surprised Celeste.

She was still sure Tomoyo would win, at least until the womans brother joined. She frowned at that, murmuring unhappily,”It was supposed to be one on one.”

That he called her to join him then was only natural, but Celeste was still surprised he called for her. She knew she was probably the least experienced warrior here. She held her sword ready, trying to keep her breathing steady. This was it. Once this battle was over they could return to their home city, at least.

Smoke filled the field and Celeste charged in. They had turned the one on one duel into two on two, and she was determined to do her part. She did not match Tomoyo’s speed, but while they were looking to Tomoyo she slipped in and nearly struck the man. He avoided it at the last second, stepping back. His sister lashed out at Celeste, and Celeste just barely dodged. Then the brother attacked. She avoided the blade narrowly, but his fist seemed to come out of nowhere. It knocked the air from her lungs and succeeded in stunning her and bringing her to her knees. Celeste gasped for breath, her vision darkening before everything started coming back into focus.

A girl stepped forth with red hair and a katana as she spoke.
"I am the current princess of the sendariea kingdom. My forces will not back down,And just like you I posses very special abilities,Let us throw everything on the line.
A one on one duel, The winner will decide the outcome of this conflict.
If I win your kingdom is mine.
If you win,You take my land,My family becomes that wich you wish to use them for,as well as my armies,and the joint lands of the forces here,shall become yours"
"Fine.Do not be shocked when you are defeated"
the girl rushed in as her sword burst into flames as tomoyo watched"
Interesting"
He then brought up his blade and stopped the attack and flung the girl back
She then landed on her feet and appeared in front of him
Tomoyo then launched up into the air as he slashed his scythe with ferocity and might.
She flipped out of the way,suspended in the air tomoyo then smashed her back down to the ground with his elbow.
Landing on the ground with a tremendous impact the ground shook as soldiers began too mumble and back away.
the man behind the "Crazy" girl spoke once again.
"that girl is a flame hayze,Her specialty is killing demons and halfbreeds like our young prince.
However in his current form and with how angry he is,she will not have an easy time of it.
From what you have seen from him he is a gentle and kind person.
Here,In the battle,with your life on the line,you will see how ruthless he is,and just what he will do to protect the one that he loves most.not even snow can stop him at this point,it's going to be a case of who walks of the grounds first. They will not back down,with such a large prize,and a chance to end this conflict,as well as a chance to showcase his raw power,to hopefully quell any rebellions from on lookers watching the fighting.Tomoyo's power is truly incredible,and gifted too him because he shall not use it for evil. This power will one day fall upon you and your children. Please observe,the full extent of the demon prince."
The girl rushed back in as tomoyo then spun his blade over his head then shouted.
"RISING MOON SLASH!"
he then flung the blade of the scythe up.
The girl blocked it but was lifted up off her feet as tomoyo smashed a kick into her gut sending her flying.
A second warrior, with red hair caught her as he then stepped forth and spoke.
"Lets see what you can do demon,you face her brother!"
he rushed in as he drew two swords and unleashed a flurry of attacks as tomoyo began to block them and shouted.
"CELELSTE, MY PRINCESS JOIN ME ON THE FIELD OF BATTLE, AND CLAIM OUR VICTORY!"
tomoyo then jumped into the air and twisted his body and spun like an acrobat.
He landed then took a stance as the male warrior slashed,flames flying at tomoyo as he scoffed.
"That is a simple spell,now watch as you see true flame magic"
The flames began to dance around tomoyo as he smiled.
"My father was the king of the crimson world,and a master of the dark and flame arts,I shall now bestow upon you the honor,of seeing what a flame haze should be able to do"
Tomoyo then jammed the weapon into the ground and began to manipulate the flames with his hands.
He then rushed forth at the male warrior leaping above him and forcing both hands out in front of him.
A giant plume of fire shot out and began to engulf the warrior.
The smoke began to rise as the man jumped backwards and slid too a stop,his sister then joining his side.
"We need to fight together too beat him,I underestimated him,i was foolish to fight alone"
The girl began to tremble as she watched tomoyo then spoke once again.
"Perhaps's he is right,Maybe his is too strong to beat,and we should surrender"
The male then slapped her as he glared.
"We do not give up,We will die trying. That is our way,that is our honor. If we shall die here today,We shall die in a glorious battle"
"Yes brother"
the two took there stances and charged.
Tomoyo,with no weapon now.
The two began to swing there blades as tomoyo began to doge each and every slice like the two siblings were standing in a pool of molasses.
"CRIMSON FLAME ART: FLAME OF THE HEAVENS!"
Tomoyo then engulfed his body in fire as he jumped and spun in the air.
Flames and sparks flying everywhere.
The two had to work very hard to avoid each shot.
As tomoyo hit the ground he then flung his hands into the air as a giant blast of smoke filled the air as he shouted.
"NOW CELSESTE!"

Her attempt to gain time successful, Celeste rose to her feet more slowly, watching the rest of the battle unfold as she caught her breath. The power he wielded was overwhelming. When someone behind her started talking she only glanced back, but continued to listen while watching the fight. Further help from her seemed entirely unnecessary.

Half demon. For just a moment a thought flitted through her head that the rumors were half true, based on some little grain of truth and distorted. Change to save her. “I see.” Celeste couldn’t think of what else to say, and the battle had enough of her attention.

Then it was over, and he was speaking to the armies all watching. Even now he wanted them to surrender. He’d rather it end with no more bloodshed. Armies trembled, but Celeste stepped forward, walking out to him. She hoped the armies would be wise enough to surrender now, that this could end now. She supposed it would depend on their resolve, but they were scared. These armies might give in, then it would be the stubbornness of the few that remained. Her father possibly among them. She let out a sigh as she stopped next to Tomoyo,”I hope they have the sense to stop now.”

Some of them were watching her like she was crazy. Maybe she was, she thought. It probably didn’t matter. They were afraid of him, but she was positive she had nothing to fear from him.

As the woman made her next attack she went flying as tomoyo stepped out of the rubble in his final form, a Heart wrenching aura about him.
he did not look to be very pleased at all.
"STAY AWAY FROM MY GIRLFRIEND!"
the ground shook under the mighty boom of the angered prince.
He rushed in as he swing his massive scythe in ways not thought to be possible.
The girl blocked the attacks as sparks flew from the blade.
Tomoyo's eyes then turned snow white,then a chilling blood red as he screamed again at the top of his lungs then shouted at her.
"YOU THINK THAT YOU, ONE OF MONSOONS LACKEYS COULD EVEN POSSIBLY DREAM OF DEFEATING ME! YOU HAD THE GUTS TOO ATTACK MY LOVER, FOR THAT YOU SHALL PAY WITH YOUR LIFE!"
the blade began to sing with a gut wrenching metal ping.
The sound wave blasted out a pulse of magic energy.
The warrior was lifted off her feet as tomoyo appeared in front of her. the slash of his blade blinding.
The girl avoided it,Not completely though. Her cheek began to bleed as tomoyo licked his lips.
"This will be your final battle!"
"The same can be said for you my young prince"
"DIE!"
tomoyo shouted again as a pure evil energy began too surround him.
A warrior spoke behind Celeste.
"This is why every one calls him a demon. He is a master in the dark arts,and In his final and true form, Tomoyo yoshimoto truly is a demon king,in command of more power than the devil or god himself. Tomoyo truly is an abomination,Born for one purpose and one purpose only.
He was born for battle,He was born to kill. If not for the many seals upon his power he would be utterly and totally insane."
The battle continued as the fighting around the two stopped,Men from both sides turning to watch the epic struggle between the two.
The warrior continued.
"Tomoyo is half human,half demon.
His mother was a demon princess,later she became the queen after marrying his father,A human
After being trained in his magics and fighting styles,he was removed from the demon world and sent here,as a tool. His purpose was too keep his father in check,and made sure he listened too the demon queen,for his father was a war monger.
Tomoyo inherited his fathers lust for battle and blood,and his mother's kind demeanor. Thus the perfect warrior was born. His full power has been locked away until the magic eye on his forehead deems it needed. What you are seeing is only a small fraction of tomoyo's rage and power. You gave him enough time to awaken his power and change into his true body,from which he can never return. He must care greatly for you if he was willing to transform like that too save you.
He could have handled her easily in his last form. But to save you he had to change. Don't waste his efforts'
tomoyo then charged the girl and shouted
"DARK ARTS:DIEING EARTH!"
A wave of black flames swept across the ground as tomoyo began to spin his blade,a massive black tempest forming over the top of him.
The flames began to circle around the black tempest as tomoyo then shouted
"YOSHIMOTO ROYAL ART:BLACK FLAME JET STREAM!"
tomoyo then slashed his blade as the wind storm engulfed the girl,Scooping her up then spinning her round.
Her screams of agony could be heard as the tempest died down.
Her dead charred body hit the ground as tomoyo then shouted
"THIS IS WHAT THIS WAR HAS COME TOO?!"
Tomoyo smashed the blade into the ground as troops from both armies trembled and slowly backed away.
"THIS IS WHAT WE HAVE RESORTED TOO!? THAT IS PATHETIC. YOU HAVE TO RELY ON A DARK MAGE TO DEFEAT ME!? THIS WOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED IF YOU SURRENDERED THE CAPITAL IN THE FIRST DAY OF FIGHTING. NOW MANY OF YOUR MEN, MANY OF MY MEN,LAY DEAD! THE CITIZENS WATCH SCARED FOR THEIR LIFES,RIVAL LANDS LAY IN WAIT TO CAPTURE OUR OWN. THIS ENDS NOW. RETREAT AND SURRENDER NOW OR I SHALL USE MY FULL MAGICAL POWER TO FORCE YOU TO GIVE UP. MANY OF YOU WILL DIE. MANY OF YOU WILL BE INJURED,NONE OF YOU WILL BE WALKING AWAY ON YOUR OWN TWO LEGS IF I UNLEASH. THE THRONE IS MINE AND WILL REMAIN MINE,THE KINGDOM AND CAPITAL,SHALL TOO BE UNDER MY CONTROL. I ATTEMPTED TO DO THIS FAIRLY,AND IT OBVIOUSLY WAS NOT ENOUGH FOR YOU. SURRENDER NOW OR BEAR WITNESS TO POWER YOU COULD NEVER BEGIN TO COMPREHEND! HELL ITSELF WILL TREMBLE AT MY POWER. GOD WILL NOT SAVE YOU,THE DEVIL WILL NOT ACCEPT YOU.NOR WILL THE PALADINS AND MAGES COME TOO YOUR RESCUE.WELCOME TO YOUR FINAL MOMENTS!"
Tomoyo then picked up his blade then shouted
"DARK ARTS:DIEING PLANNET!"
the wall of flames then rose back up.
"YOUR CHOICE!"

Celeste wasn’t sure she really could learn well enough in the middle of a battle to be of any real help. Not one between two such powerful people, but she watched anyway, keeping close but not in the way.

Her speed wasn’t their equal, but Celeste was proving to be nimble on the battlefield. She could keep up while avoiding getting in too much danger, waiting for a chance. What she lacked in power she was making up for in maneuverability.

Then she saw her chance, the woman was thrown to the ground and Celeste took a deep breath and rushed forward, her heart pounding. She wasn’t giving herself a chance to second guess or hesitate. The woman rolled out of the way and just avoided Celeste’s blade as it came down. She couldn’t let the woman catch a break for even a second. She was no match really, but she could help keep their opponent from catching her breath or recovering while Tomoyo could.

So Celeste pressed on with her attacks, none of which hit but the woman had to evade or block them instead of just getting up. It was only a few seconds, but then the woman managed a countermove and swept Celeste’s feet out from under her, and Celeste hit the ground while the woman sprang up and attacked. Celeste blocked her, but knew she couldn’t keep this up. She didn’t need to forever, just until Tomoyo made his next move.
